MOVED: Wallpaper

Probably a case of the image demisnions and aspect ration not matching what is needed for wallpaper. About the only solution (since there does appear to be a resize bug in the wallpaper select function) is to crop the image and re-upload

Does the iPhone 5 have live/moving wallpaper? I know Samsung does.

Then instead of digging up an almost year old thread, purchase the device that you believe has the better features.

  • Wallpaper program that does this....

The mac has the option to change the desktop images ever 5 seconds as the slowest change rate but I was wondering is there a program that can make it change faster like maybe ever second or even less?

I'm not really doing anything of importance. I was trying to create a neat little moving wallpaper image because I don't really like static images. I get bored with them pretty quick. So I took an image of a red orb and using simple image editing tools in the previewer app, I created different color variations of the image. So when you set the desktop image to change ever 5sec to create a pulsating orb on my desk top. So Now I was thinking if I could make the image cycle faster then I could create my own simple animation or possible take a scene and make the lights turn on and off or create a seemingly flowing stream of water but in order to get the effect right I would need the image to cycle a little faster. That's what I was doing, nothing really major.

  • What could be wrong?iOS 7 makes my iPad 3 heats up, had no problem with iOS6.1.3

Am so devastated. From the time I upgraded to iOS 7 my iPad heats up badly. Tried resetting and later restoring with no improvement at all. Kindly help!

    Hello!
iOS 7 has been a major improvement for Apple's iOS-using devices. There are many additions to this update and may cause heating up frequently. As you have also noticed while changing your wallpaper, Apple had recently added the features of moving Wallpaper/dynamic wallpaper. This type of wallpaper eats a lot of battery and cause some heating up. Also the 'new iOS 7' look has been a the source of heating ups too. Though the heating ups occur quite frequently, it isn't too hot and I believe you can still use it quite comfortably. I have iPad 3 which heats up more (plus my device uses iOS & too) but like I said, the heat isn't too bad. Also, killing all the background apps helps the iPad to function quicker and the heat is reduced. Using or playing HD games such as Six-Guns or Infinity Blade fuels the heat.

  • This Is Not Really A Question

Well Apple this is just a suggestion. Wouldnt it be cool if our pictures could be a slide show like when you are on your pictures and you press and hold the arrow button and it starts making the pictures pass by really fast. Can u make them into a wallpaper slideshow like a constantly moving wallpaper. i think it would be really cool if u put it in the next update. i took lots of pictures of myself and i held the right arrow and i saw my pictures going by really fast and it looked like i was talking with no sound and it looked kind of like a really short video. this is a suggestion so you can put it in your next update for the Ipod Touch ios 4.3.6 if you wanted to. can u at least think about putting it in the the next update please and thank you

  • How to Have Effects Turned on WHILE Recording

I want to use Audtion as a live multi-track audio recorder for some multi-cam video work (5 talking heads on lavs).  I want to record with certain effects (compression, limiter, etc.) on WHILE recording--NOT applied to the tracks AFTER recording.  Is this possible?
I can only seem to be able to apply effects to tracks AFTER recording has already occured.

    Hmm... RANT!
    Bob Howes wrote:
Finally, regarding SteveG's slur against TV sound people, I resemble that remark.  Yes, we DID overdo compression but there were some technical reasons for this.  For example, when we converted to satellites for distribution, we quickly found that the satellite system itself would overload slightly below +12dBu on the input.  Not only did this sound bad, the satellite operator would threaten to throw us off (due to interference with adjacent users) if we hit this level--so everything we did had a brick wall limiter above +8dBu.  However, this was still AFTER the production chain, not on the input.  When doing location sound, although I'd leave the limiter on in the camera--but I'd set my gain staging so this was only a last-resort stopgap, not something being relied on to control levels.
It wasn't a slur against the people doing it - it was against TV sound, which, for the reasons you state, generally ends up as crap. It's also worth noting that it doesn't really stand a chance, right from the outset. For some strange reason, pictures always seem to come first. It's ludicrous; turn the picture off and listen to the sound, and you'll still have some sort of an idea what's going on. Turn the sound off though, and you generally have absolutely no idea at all! So which is really more important? Getting some presenter's ugly fizzog on the screen, or hearing what they're saying (I have to be careful here, as I might trip up my own argument...) So in some instances, sound ops don't have a lot of choice.
But overall, standards are slipping even further. Despite all of this legislation from the EBU, broadcasters still can't normalize levels between programmes. At present, the BBC is a particularly bad offender. It's not just compression, it's everything. I've recently watched orchestras being miced up, with some horror - bloody mics everywhere. End result doesn't sound like an orchesta at all - it sounds like a slightly sophisticated big band. So when I go and stick my SoundField (or even a Decca Tree) over an orchestra, people are amazed - suddenly it sounds like an orchestra again! I've asked some of the badly-trained monkeys why they do it like this, and have yet to recieve a satisfactory answer.
But in overall terms I don't care about compression on general TV output - it's only moving wallpaper, and you don't want to have to keep changing the levels, so from that POV it's a good thing; it's 98% rubbish anyway. But it does mean that on better programmes where they compress less - like Top Gear - you have to turn up the volume to listen to it, and be prepared to be deafened occasionally. That's fine, but at the end of the transmission you have to remember to turn the volume down again pretty quick...

  • Change the wallpaper and the app keeps moving. Why causes this?

I just bought my new iphone 5s last week. Yesterday i change my wallpaper and something strange happened. After that, as long as i turn on my iphone, the screen which is filled with my apps starts moving, it seems that the wallpaper is doing the resizing. So it is kind of the apps are moving and cannot be located. I just want to know does anybody else have the same issue like this? It really bothers me a lot. Just hope someone can help me clarify the situation, i hope it is not a bug.....

this is a  new feature in IOS 7. it's called  parallax effect. you can stop this and other animations by going to settings>general>accessibility and enable reduce motion

  • Is there a way to make a moving desktop wallpaper?

I have this cool screensaver and would like to use it in place of a boring wallpaper. Is there any way to do this?

Sounds like your talking more of like an animated cartoon! (LOL)

  • Why is my wallpaper moving?

So I dropped my month old 5c in the toilet last night...l I immediately threw it in a container full of rice where it sat for 16 hours. I plugged it in and it was touch and go for a while- it turned itself on and off about 5 times and then finally stayed on. Now I can turn it on and off without issue. Everything is working just fine except I can see what I assume are water spots under the screen, and the background is moving up and down on its own volition. Not the icons or words or anything, just the picture. I don't want to cause any more issues, so it is back in the rice where it will stay for about another 16 or so hours. Do you think this will solve the issue? If not, any ideas what I should do?

Since your iPhone has been water damaged, it sounds to me like the internal gyroscopes beliee the phone is tilting forward and back, thus causing the parallax feature to shift the background image up and down to compensate for the "3D effect" of the apparent phone movement.
If you have AppleCare plus, you can get your iPhone replaced with a refurbished one for about $50 USD, otherwise you are looking at an out of warranty repair which is close to $300 on your iPhone model.  You could always turn off the Parallax feature and stop the screen image movement, but it won't fix the underlying problem, just hide it until you find something else which depends upon those damaged sensors...

  • Why won't IOS 7 allow moving and scaling of wallpaper?

Apple needs to fix this.  Upgraded to IOS 7.  Many of the new tooks are cool and useful, like the new time stamp for each individual texts.  But the move and scale function to set a wallpaper  (both lock screen and home screen)....I'm unable to get it to work.  You can still pinch the photo and move it around...but it will only make the picture bigger, not smaller.

Same problem here and I can't an answer.  The same photo of my family worked in ios6 but will not work in ios7.  I will move but not scale which renders it useless.
The question has been posted before but no one responds.
Hello out there in ios7 land...
I have not upgraded my wife's phone because it would cause difficulty between us.

  • Moving Animated SWF wallpaper to Phone

I'm a student at Quinnipiac University and I am trying to get
an animated wallpaper to work on my Verizon LG VX8300. I am able to
get the file into the appropriate directory (I believe) but the
phone does not add the swf file to the menu to allow it to be
    chosen as a wallpaper.
When I pulled the existing 4 flash animated wallpapers that
came preinstalled on the phone and decompiled the actionscript I
    found this within FSCommand2.
    FSCommand2('GetVars', 'flashNVData', 'setting', 'menuType',
I browsed through the help section on Flash but couldn't find
any definition for 'flashNVData' and what it does. I figured that
if I had that same line of code in my wallpaper that it might help
it be recognized on the phone but that wasn't the case. I almost
feel like it has to be installed.
After going through more documentation I begin to wonder if
even just a simple flash lite wallpaper needs to be published for
BREW...but it doesn't make sense to me since the files I pulled off
    of the phone were *.swf
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have same problem .6233 problem with swf theme.show white screen.
    can anyone help us?

  • I have just tried to connect my Mac book pro to an LG Plasma TV via an iWires Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable. All I get on my TV is the Mac wallpaper and nothing else. I am missing something really silly, could anyone help please.

Hi there. I also bought an iWires mini Display port to HDMI cable and have an LG LED/LCD TV. I plugged it in to my MB Pro and followed the very small writing that came in the package and got both audio and video going. You need to change the audio settings from within System Preferences on your Mac to select your TV as the audio output.
My concern is the data latency - do you experience a delay between moving your mouse on the MBPro and the TV displaying the movement? It is only a fraction of a second, but certainly enough to be annoying, especially in a cable as expensive as the iWire.

  • Mountain lion flashing apple bar/flashing wallpaper/no dock?

i have a macbook pro that i bought april 2010. i bought ML from the app store about a month ago. im now having a few problems.
the battery died while my daughter was watching netflix so she plugged in the charger. i pressed the power button and left it. i walked away for a while and when i came back the screen was black. i assumed in sleep but it was off. i double checked the charger was correctly attached. OK. and pressed the little button on the side to see the battery level. 5/8 lights lit up so that was OK. i figured it a fluke and tried to power on again. it got to the grey apple screen with spinning gear and a progress bar came up at the bottom. there was no progression in the bar and about 5 seconds later the computer was off again.
my daughter THEN tells me that when the screen went black the first time she pressed a bunch of random buttons on the keyboard. i dont know if that can do anything or not.
i then tried to start with option. it was the only thing i could think to try, i used to have windows partitioned on my HD but erased that because i didnt use it and just had a small partition that i had time machine on.
i chose to try to restore with a time machine back up. it was seeming to work. restarted computer and signed in with my primary/admin account. it was moving very slow but was moving.
    -slow startup
-computer seems lagged. im seeing the spinning color wheel after every click.
-in my admin account the dock is gone. i tried to change the settings to disable the dock hiding so it was always at the bottom of the screen...still no dock.
-my wallpaper and the right side of the apple bar at the top of the screen (wifi/clock/battery/etc) was flashing every few seconds on and off.
i tried to boot into safe mode to see if that would do anything.
i held shift key right after power button - gray apple screen/spinning gear. -power off
i held the shift key as soon as the start up chime started until the apple. -gray apple/spinning gear-no change for 2 hours. forced shut down with power button.
i waited until the end of the chime, held the shift key until the apple. -power off
after that i couldnt power on at all except in recovery mode. regular start up would take me to chime/apple/spinning gear/progress bar then shut down.
restored with time machine back up again. got to login screen and tried to login with my second/guest account.
    -very slow/lagging/spinning color wheel
BUT the wallpaper isnt flashing to gray and the dock is in place.
but the right side of the apple bar at the top of my screen is flashing. i havent tried to log out of this account to try logging into my admin account yet... what should i do? any ideas?

Is this problem only affecting one user account?
Does booting in safe mode (hold down shift key at boot time) get you in?
