Nope, has been the same since Christmas. It started around the 24th April. No hardware changes at all since then. Seems to last longer with no crackling if I set the sample rate to a higher Frequency (92000Hz).
As for software: Yes I have installed a lot of software.etc but I usually use the same programs all the time - The cracking comes in a random times.

  • Gigaworks S750 cables for the X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro Card?

    Hey guys,
I got a nice Gigaworks S750 7.1 speaker system and want to use it with my new X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro card. The Fatal1ty pro has analog outputs for a 7.1 sound system, but the Gigaworks doesn't have the same layout. Can anyone help me find the cables I need to get this setup running?

    Hi,
There are 4 Line Outs on the X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro card.
Line Out 1 jack - Connects to the Front Left and Front Right inputs
Line Out 2 jack - Connects to the Side Left and Side Right inputs
Line Out 3 jack - Connects to the Front Center and Subwoofer inputs
Line Out 4 jack - Connects to the Rear Left and Rear Right inputs
You might want to refer to the user manual of the sound card and speakers system for more information.
You can still utilize the suppiled 7.1 cable. Just leave out the grey connector (side speakers) and use a single 3.5mm cable to hook up both ends.

  • Does Front Panel Audio Work When Using RCA Outputs from the X-Fi Titanium HD PCIe Sound Card?

I see that the rear panel headphone output is disabled when the soundcard RCA jacks are used.
But is it possible to have the front panel audio output work at the same time that the RCA jacks are in use or is it also disabled?
I am willing to tolerate inferior quality audio feeding my monitor and use the RCA jacks for my headphone amp.

I was able to construct a work around for this problem. A Y splitter from the RCA outputs is an option but can degrade the sound because of the uneven load presented to the soundcard.
Ten eleven inch Apevia CVTAUDIOE25 HD Audio extension cables were connected together in series to a SilverStone FP32 3.5 audio front panel bay. The extension cables were connected to the front panel audio connectors on the Titanium HD sound card and then the cables were run out of the computer case and up to the area near my keyboard. I connected the front panel audio bay to the extension cable and the bay sits next to the keyboard. When no 3.5 mm stereo cable is connected to the front bay near the keyboard the sound is normal out of the rear outputs. But when a 3.5 mm audio cable is plugged into the front panel bay audio there is sound out of the SilverStone front panel bay. The sound is still muted out of the rear RCA jacks when the plug is put in the front bay but it is only used when the main audio outputs are not required.
The function for me is that the front bay serves the same purpose that the previous front panel 3.5 mm audio extension cable did.
There are photos of this under a different user name on Audio Asylum PC Audio.

  • Tactic3D Sigma + X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty ?

    Hello friends,
I have a PCI-E X-Fi Titanium Fatalty sound card and I'm thinking in get a good headphone to play during midnight.
I know Titanium features in Game Mode the CMSS-3D effect which offer a great improvment in games with any kind of headphone.
On the other hand, Tactic3D Sigma offers THX TruStudio Pro Surround, that also delivers a 3D simulation effect in games.
    so...
Is it worth buying Sigma if I can get a 3D effect with my soundcard? Sigma still good using jack output?
    THX TruStudio Pro Surround >>> CMSS-3D ?
    Thanks.

The following is the responses I have received from Creative customer support regarding the THX controller software NOT working (the controller software just hangs) with my X-fi Platinum. I am very confused by the contradicting responses help please!

Are you connecting the headset thru the 3.5mm plug or USB connection?
If using the USB headset connection, please note that you won't be able to use it with the X-fi Titanium soundcard.

    Thank you for answering,
I can use the mini jacks but not the features I bought the headset for? The mini jack functioning of this headset seem no better than any $25 headset . . . and I have spent years plugged in in recording studios.
So the features of this headset are not available if I am using your High-end soundcard?!?!?!?!? How is this possible?!?!?!? And why does the box not say this?? Now that I have spent hundreds of dollars on your soundcard and nearly another $00 on your headphones I am just out of luck!!!??
I think this needs a website of its own. What am I to do with this useless waste of money at this point?
So, please, tell me what I am to do?
And please send me contact information for the marketing product leads for both of these products!
    Awaiting a reasonable answer,
Thank you for writing to Creative Technical Support.
Please note that when in USB connection, USB devices such as your SB Tactic3D Sigma Headset will create its own USB Audio Device and it will bypass the onboard sound card and the X-fi Titanium card.
Make sure that the headset is properly detected in Device Manager and selected as the default playback and recording device.
When using the mini-jack, please ensure that the X-fi Titanium card is selected as the default playback and recording device.

  • Do titanium x-fi cards work with titanium hd drivers and softwares?

I have titanium hd sound card and will be replacing that with regular titanium x-fi pci-e card. Would I need a driver replacement? I use w8 64 bit
    Thanks

Yes you would. The driver is definitely different and not compatible with the original Titanium. The interface/software looks identical but the two sound cards and their software suites and not compatible.

  • Titanium Fatal1ty digital sound encoder issues

So, I've had this Titanium Fatal1ty pro soundcard for a few years and it has always given me trouble. Simply, a few years back when I initially installed it, I had fought with achieving full DTS or Dolby digital mode, or anything greater (in signal quality) than PCM (analog mode). I eventually figured it out a few years back after repeated uninstalls, different driver versions. Problem is, I recently reinstalled my OS and now I can't get my sound card fully functioning.
So I can't get the DTS or Dolby digital indicators to light up on my reciever. I've sought the help creative offers by adjusting my sampling rate lower. Nothing. I've verified my on-board sound was disabled thru bios. I simply cannot get any digital sound flowing through my optical port. Weirdest of all, in Console launcher or creative Control panel if I cleck on the tab marked "encoder" I get the BSOD. Never fails; everytime.
I'm wondering if my encoder on the actual sound card is going bad. Then again, I've gotten BSOD screens lately even doing things unrelated to sound, especially while using Google Chrome. I'm wondering if my RAM going bad would affect the performance of my sound card.
Any ideas would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

    Hi Aboisis,
You will need to contact support to enquire about that.

  • SoundBlaster XFi Titanium Fatal1ty Popping Sounds

Okay...obviously this isn't a new problem... I've seen tons of complaints about it. Anyhow, I've started getting popping sounds randomly, through analog and digital. Is there ANY fix for this? I was thinking it might be my wireless card (which is three slots down from the sound card, and has an external?antennae. Any ideas? I never got this on my XtremeMusic. I have:
    Intel Core 2 Duo e8400
    Geforce GTX 285
    DFI Lanparty DK P35
    Wireless N PCI Adaptor
    Xfi Titanium Fatalty PCIe
    3 Hard dri've/bluray dri've, yadayada yada...
    Latest Creative driver
    Windows 7 64
    4GB DDR2 RAM

Try swapping PCI slots of your Wireless card. If your sound card is PCIX you can only move it to a x, x4 x8 or x6 slot. The wireless card can be moved to any other PCI slot.

  • How to get WHAT U HEAR option for PCI Express X-Fi Titanium sound card and Windows 7

how to get WHAT U HEAR option for PCI Express X-Fi Titanium sound card and Windows 7 ? Is it on the basic driver? or do you have to install some other software?
    jane

You have to install the rest of the software(s) for the sound card. The software is (if it is with the installation CD, though) called "Creative Smart Recorder" or something like that.

  • Poll: Who is having no sound issues with X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro?

Several weeks ago I purchased an? X-Fi Titanium Fatalty Pro. I have the latest drivers/software installed for all of my hardware and am using Windows 7 64-bit ultimate. There is no sound when the computer resumes from Standby or hibernate. I have to disable the driver in the device manager and then re-enable to restore sound. It seems the X-fi driver is not initializing when the computer resumes from these states. Problem does not occur during a normal cold start or restart.
i have an open ticket with creative support and need to find out if others are having the same issue on windows 7. Several folks having the same issue at this link with little to no success at fixing. I don't know if this is a driver thing, an IRC conflict or what. I have no had this issue on the same hardware with any other sound cards I've I had, to include an HT Omega card and the onboard sound; which leaves me convinced it is something with the X-fi card.
Please respond to this posting if you are having the same issue. If you have found a way to fix it, please say so as the creative support folks are still investigating and have asked me to give them more examples.

Just to confirm that deselecting entries in the "headphone detection" tab the creative audio panel seems to provide a temporary (but not an acceptable permanent) solution.
"Automatically mute speakers" provides the workaround but "automatically enable headphone settings" also needs to be deselected otherwise the PC will set to "headphone" on resume (rather than "5:" for example).
So it could be that on resuming from standby it is setting some internal headphone settings to mute the speakers.
I have created a support ticket hoping that this and the other post above might bring about a driver update.
Will keep testing and post any updates.

  • Some huge major problem on this sound card X-Fi Fatal1ty with Gigaworks S75

I done a clean reformat on my computer last night, so i slot in my Fatalty sound card and fix in the internal I/O dri've into my CPU. After that i done a clean installation on the sound card driver program. When i have done so, i plug in my speaker " Creative Gigaworks S750 ". I connect the 4 connector "gray, orange, black and green" to their connector at the subwoofer, and connect the other 3 "orange, green, black" to the sound card, but left one more optional connector left which is gray, so i didnt connect the gray one. After that, i boot up my computer and run the "Creative Speaker Connection Wizard", however i only notices only 5 of my speakers works. The other 2 doesnt.......so i thought it might be a fault with my speakers, so i switch the rear to side speakers, but it still stay the same problem....i try all other speakers as well.....and i found out that my Gigaworks doesnt have any problem, but how come my gigaworks speakers couldnt work with Fatality? I mean how come only 5 speakers got sound while other 2 doesnt? Could it be, i set the settings wrong in the X-Fi Creative console? I need serious help....i heard of good previews on this sound card...so i do really hope there will be a solution to fix this for me...thanks alot.....any help will be deeply appreciated.. need replys from you guys as soon as possbile.
    Creative's Fan Regrads,
    Benjamin

I believe it is the spare connector you left unplugged. Do you have the cable that came with the speakers? Should have a 3-mini jack connections on one side, and 4-mini jack connections on the other? Creative uses a 4-pole mini jack to add the side speakers to the rear and center/sub jacks on the soundcard. The 3 to 4 ended cable should allow you to connect properly

  • Sound Card Hissing/Crackling All The Sudden (Xtreme Gamer)

    Hi All,
I found these forums after doing some searching and not being able to remedy my problem.
I have a computer with an ASUS mobo with the X-Fi Xtreme Gamer card. This combo has been working perfectly for me for over a year. I use windows vista. All the sudden the other day my sound is horrible. The music is buried under hissing and crackling and popping. ? I recently switched recievers so I thought the new one may have an issue with the computer. This was not the case though as the card now isn't working properly with my old reciever as well.
I tried uninstalling the driver, moving the card to a different PCI slot and installing that 2.0 pack. Nothing has worked. ?
The only thing that seems to be ok is when using headphones. This seems very strange as they are going into the exact same jack that my reciever has always been using.
I'm hoping and praying that someone out there may have some advice about what I could try to help my situation. I really don't have the money to get a new card right now and feel like this shouldn't be happening as I have only owned it a little over a year and it has always worked with my configuration.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!

?These drivers are meant to solve crackling and pops and do work with NON Titanium cards. I tested this with a PCI-regular Fatality Pro.

  • MSI x58 PRO-E SLI+Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro

Im thinking of buying a Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro for some better sound, problem is that I cant see if this is gonna fit in the top PCI-E slot because of the cooling block there.
Does anyone know if this will fit or not?
here is a pic of my current setup:
    http://twitpic.com/1zvxnz

You asked if it would fit the other slot and I said it would, if the heatsink does in fact prevent you from using that slot then you can use any other available PCIe slot. A 1x PCIe card will work in any PCIe slot no matter what size the slot is.
I took a look at the pictures shot from an angle at MSI website and it does look as if it may not fit there. I also noticed that on the 1156 MB that the same HS on them have very short fins in line with that slot, makes me wonder why the 1366 MB HS is not like that.
I assume you don't have or can't borrow a card from family or friend to just test for fit in that slot?

  • Help with X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pin Read

Need help looking up the pin readouts on the X-Fi Titanium Fatalty. The manual describes two different Titanium models: SB0880 and SB0886. The former only has connector pins for Intel HD Front Panel audio. The latter does not have these pin connectors but has only proprietary DID_EXT (digital, 2 pins [6 top row, 6 bottom row]) and AND_EXT (analog, 8 pins [0 top row, 8 bottom row]) pin connectors.
Does anyone know where I can find a description of the pin layout of the AND_EXT and DID_EXT connectors? Again, although the Intel connectors are described in detail, these ones are not described at all in the manual. I'm trying to use an internal aux connector from my tv card to the sound card, so I'm trying to see if I can make a custom cable to do this. Otherwise, I'm using an external line out cable for now. The optional I/O dri've does have aux rca inputs on them.

Hard to say, just because the sound is cutting out it may not be the card that is the issue. This could be cause by pretty much anything - drivers, bug apps, other hardware problems etc etc.
If you haven't done a system reset recently, i.e. re-install OS, drivers and programs you could try that to see if the issues remain. Sometimes moving the audio card to another PCIe slot can sometimes help.
