XP-TMC Adapter Socket

Hello,
I have the same set up as you. This is what my setup post stable as: 172x13=2238mhz=3200+ "DO NOT" use Core Center to overclock. You can use it as a monitor, but it reports the wrong CPU/SYS temps anyways. There are several other programs that work great for information purposes.Speed Fan and CPUZ are the 2 I use. http://cpuid.org/ for CPUZ and http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php for Speed Fan.Always do all your Overclocks in BIOS only.Make sure to do the following in BIOS,Disable spread spectrum and turn off dynamic overclocking.Change your FSB to 172x13 multi. You can use CPUZ to monitor the clocks. Also on the ram stay at or below fast.CPUZ will tell you your ram timings also.I use speed fan to monitor my temps as like I said the CC is 4deg too low.
FWIW,I managed as high as 185 FSB  but very unstable all the way back down to 175.172 is my stable/gaming heavy CPU load limit for my setup.Yours mary vary higher/lower but should be able to go above 167

I was just wondering if anyone has tried this adapter for unlocking the multiplier. I have the KT6V-LSR motherboard with a AthlonXP Barton Core 3000+ 333MHz. 1024mb of 333 memory. I want to over clock this and have tried with the Core Center. The core center only on auto got to 167fsb. I want it to run at its full potential but not be unstable either. What would be the best way to do this?    By the way this is a great forum!

  • 330 Car Navigation & GNS FM9 TMC adapter subscript...

    "Traffic information
    The Nokia 330 Auto Navigation supports an external TMC (Traffic Message Channel) module to receive latest information on traffic jams on the road. As special TMC module is available and can be purchased with a discount from www.gns-gmbh.com/nokia/.";
So far the official webpage of europe.nokia.com.
When entering the gns-gmbh page there is an offer for Europe to buy that adapter for 24,90€.
But you need special voucher code from your seller, regular price of adapter is around 50€. This voucher my seller missed to hand over not only to me,also to a lot of other customer.
No problem I thought, give GNS a call. To get this special code for purchasing the adapter, GNS gave information to call the german hotline or go to the seller.
It was easier for me to contact the hotline, but even they have been very honest, they have not been aware about the special offer made officially by Nokia !!!
One of the hotlines arguments was that it would depend on the seller to get this voucher code !! How that can be ?
You're selling an TMC-adaptable unit w/o possibility to get the needed adapter ? They even did not announce this adapter as an official accessory ? Why the hell not ?
But they promised me to address this issue to management. Let's wait

  • 520 AC Adapter Socket Hassle

I love my little 520, but haven't been able to use it for 6 months. The batteries have long since died and I had been using it solely on the AC/DC power adapter, which is fine with me.
Then the plug-in socket for the adapter started giving me trouble. Sometimes it would make full contact and sometimes not. Jiggling it at startup until I heard the chime worked for a while. Finally this too became a long hassle (the 520 would sometimes shut down in the middle of a project) and I reluctantly parked it in the closet.
I noticed back then that others had the same problem, but I never came across of a good solution.
I've considered permanently attaching the adapter to the 520 by using conductive epoxy in the plug-in holes, but if this didn't work, I'd be worse off than before.
Has anyone come up with a good fix for the "wiggly plug-in" problem?

    Hi Jan,
There is a little more history to my battle with this problem than I reported in my original question, i.e. I didn't arrive at the "glue" method as a first solution, but only as a last resort after a series of other attempts. (The conductive epoxy was suggested by a respected PC tech who has used it succesfully in cases where the heat of soldering could damage sensitive parts).
I have checked the connector in the PBook itself and found it solid. I have a spare 520 and have had the same problem when using it with the AC adapter. So it seems the adapter plug is the problem. Add the fact that when the 520 does run when hooked up via the adapter, it runs well for extended periods unless jarred or moved, so I'm assuming that the AC adapter itself is in good working order.
Another poster on this forum (about a year ago) isolated the problem to an expanding of the female contacts in the adapter, as you also suggested. His solution was to drill tiny holes in the sides of the adapter plug and use a tiny punch to compress the expanded contacts. He claimed that worked. It seems a bit of overkill, but I may try it anyway.
I could buy another adapter, but brand new 520 adapters are rare, and I wouldn't trust a used one.
Thanks for your reply. I would welcome any other suggestions. Half the fun of running "obsolete" Macs is in getting them to work with a minimum of expense, and the perverse pleasure of thumbing one's nose at the $2,000 laptop boys. Don't you agree?

  • MOVED: S-Video adapter with a Megabook S260

Sounds like the wrong video format is selected. Your video mode might be set to PAL (unless you have a PAL TV and need to switch from NTSC). Open System Preferences and go to Display. You should get a dialog for both the internal display and the Television display (if not, you need to connect the video adapter). The television window is labeled NTSC/PAL. Try changing the Refresh Rate from one format to the other.

  • Broken adapter socket on iBook, can I replace?

Hi, just wondering if it is possible to buy and replace the socket in the iBook that the adapter goes into. The pin broke off of my adapter/charger, in the socket, and now even with a new adapter the thing won't turn on. So I'm assuming that this is the problem.

Yes, it's possible, but not exactly simple to do it yourself.
This is a link to the part you need (the DC-in board):
    http://www.welovemacs.com/9226254r.html
If it's the 933MHz to 1.33 GHz model, you need _these instructions_.
If it's the 1.42 GHz model, the instructions can be found here.
    Good luck.

  • Moving from SOAP Adapter to WCF-basichttp adapter

we are migrating the BizTalk server 2009 application into  BTS 2013.In The BTS 2009 application ,some of ports are configured with SOAP and SQL Adapters.
So I recommended to customer that move from SOAP Adapter to WCF-BasicHttp and SQL to WCF-SQL.
But customer asked me is that the best practice MS recommended for moving from SOAP to WCF-BasicHttp?
Customer is asking let me explain few points why i have to move from SOAP to WCF-Http?
Could you please help me how to convince him?
    Regards BizTalkWorship

The SOAP adapter is deprecated in BizTalk Server 2010. You should use the WCF-BasicHttp to communicate with Web services and clients that conform to the WS-I Basic Profile 1.1. To communicate with Web services and clients that conform to
    WS-*, use the WCF-WSHttp adapter.
    Key benefits of WCF Framework
Because WCF can communicate using Web services, interoperability with other platforms that also support SOAP, such as the leading J2EE-based application servers, is straightforward.
. You can also configure and extend WCF to communicate with Web services using messages not based on SOAP, for example, simple XML formats like RSS.
. Performance is of paramount concern for most businesses. WCF is developed with the goal of being one of the fastest distributed application platform developed by Microsoft.
. To allow optimal performance when both parties in a communication are built on WCF, the wire encoding used in this case is an optimized binary version of an XML Information Set. Messages still conform to the data structure of a SOAP message, but their
encoding uses a binary representation of that data structure rather than the standard angle-brackets-and-text format of the XML 1.0 text encoding. Using this option makes sense for communicating with the call center client application, because it is also built
on WCF, and performance is an important concern.
. Managing object lifetimes, defining distributed transactions, and other aspects of Enterprise Services are now provided by WCF. They are available to any WCF-based application, which means that the rental car reservation application can use them with any
of the other applications it communicates with.
. Because it supports a large set of the WS-* specifications, WCF helps provide reliability, security, and transactions when communicating with any platform that also supports these specifications.
. The WCF option for queued messaging, built on Message Queuing, allows applications to use persistent queuing without using another set of application programming interfaces.
    Thanks

  • Moving the master phone socket

I want to move the master phone socket from downstairs to upstairs. The phone cable on the outside wall runs from upstairs, so I figure this shouldn't be too much of a problem, but is there anywhere I can find more information about this? (like how much it might cost, how long it would take, etc.)
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

you would need to contact bt sales and get them to
place the order to move the master socket they should be able to give you a date for the work to be done the cost will be around £130.00

  • MOVED: Lost Wifi adapter after upgrading win8 to win8 pro!

This topic has been moved to MSI Notebooks & Netbooks.
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=177255.0

You should be using the "Best for Display" settings for ordinary displays, like the ones you are using.
Only wacky huge displays, where the pixels are way too small (like retina Displays or 4K displays) use "Scaled" resolutions, and they do multiple unstated tricks: Graphics are displayed at the full native resolution of the display, and text is doubled or scaled so that it is extra-big -- otherwise it would be so tiny you could not read it.
So ignore "scaled" and use "best for Display".
And as far as having seventeen different resolution settings, well they figured out that if you paid for the top resolution, that "best for display" is what you almost always wanted, so why bother even showing the others.

  • Lower speeds after moving BACK to master socket

Around a week ago, I relocated my HH5 and mastersocket back to the entry point into my home (it was using all manner of rubbish extension cabling) and since then my sync speeds have dropped. Before the relocation, I was achieving a sync of > 60Mbps, now it won't exceed 56Mbps. HH5 stats:
The "zero" values on the line and signal attenuation are a little odd. Any ideas at what I should look for?

Are you looking for a missing 4Mbps sync speed?
The speeds don't seem unreasonable for the attenuation and the noise margin is near to 6. If you attracted DLMs attention when you were tidying up the wiring, normal service should be restored in a few days, maybe a couple of weeks.
If sync speed reduces however, you may have a noise problem.

  • Error in using the Socket Adapter while deploying the composite

I am going through a Socket Adapter sample given in Oracle JCA Adapters for Sockets"Oracle Socket Adapter Hello World".
This sample demonstrates inbound request/response and synchronous outbound request/response modes of communication using using Oracle Socket Adapter.
The HelloWorld business process takes an input string from the Socket Adapter inbound service and
publishes the message to the BPEL process.
The BPEL process invokes the Socket Adapter outbound service and returns the received string using synchronous reply.
Before going into this sample i did the configuration in the Weblogic server by following the steps below:-
    1)Log into Weblogic server console
2)Click Deployments in the left pane for Domain Structure
3)Click Socket Adapter. The settings for SocketAdapter page is displayed.
    4)Click the configuration tab
5)Click the Outbound Connection Pools tab, and expand java.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory to see connection
    factories
    6)Click eis/socket/SocketAdapter
7)Set the KeepAlive connection property to true
    8)Save the setting.
After this i did the necessary configurations in the Socket Adapter Configuration Wizard(Inbound/Outbound).
    The BPEL process has:-
1)A receive which receives input from a Socket Adapter which serves as an inbound synchronous service.
2)An invoke acitvity which invokes a socket adapter which serves as a outbound synchronous service.
3)Two Assign activites to do the necessary assignment.
After Deploying the sample i encountered with the following errors:-
    <Sep 9, 2012 1:19:48 PM IST> <Error> <oracle.integration.platform.blocks.deploy.servlet> <SOA-21537> <Sending back error message: There was an error deploying the composite on soa_

Can any one please tell me the solution for this error.

Did you find a solution for this issue. I see the same error while deploying the same very sample code.

  • I moved my Itunes music and now it won't automatically locate them?

I moved all my music to a different folder, and I click one song in my library to locate it, and then I locate it, and I click locate all files and it won't add them, and I have over 1k songs so I don't want to locate them all manually one by one. What do I do? Is there a fix or program for Windows?
I have a backed up Library.xml file can I edit that somehow?
    Thanks!

It all depends a bit on what you want to do.
    Option 1
The "offical" method (i.e. there is a support article describing it) for moving your media around is to allocate a new media folder and then consolidate your content to that new location. The downside with it is that you then have to manually clean up what gets left behind. The other problem with that method is that it splits the library and the media folder up. Once this has happened it is less easy to do the following trick.
    Option 2
The "unofficial" but still widely documented alternative is to move the entire iTunes folder to a new location. This assumes the media folder was inside the main iTunes folder to start with. If you move a library in this layout to a new location then you can hold down shift when iTunes is starting and choose to open the libary in the new location. (Hold shift, click icon for iTunes, carry on holding shift for some time until a prompt appears). iTunes should open the library from its new location and automatically update the preference for the iTunes Media folder to match. Everything just works.
Actually, if your library was created by iTunes 8 or earlier and you haven't updated to iTunes Media Organisation then you might need to fix up a few things like iPod Games and Mobile Apps, or better yet, upgrade to iTunes Media Organisation before  you go moving the iTunes folder with File > Library > Organise Library > Reorganise files in the folder <Media Folder>. If the last option is greyed out you've already done it.
    Option 3
Finally, if you just want to consolidate files to a new folder without creating copies then my script ConsoldateByMoving will move files to their default location (i.e. where iTunes would copy it to) within the current media folder. It is also possible to modify the script to use a different root folder for all the files it is moving, or indeed adapt it (carefully & take a backup first) for your own personal naming scheme.
    Option 4
There are also all sorts of move-my-iTunes-library-guides that talk about editing the XML file to update files with the new location that you've just given them by hand and then "damaging" the ITL file in a way that makes iTunes rebuild the ITL from the XML data. Ignore all such nonsense, there are easier ways to destroy your library.
I'd recommend you go for option 2. I actually organise my media with a personalised version of the script, but there is no real benefit other than a warm glow that everything is organised my way because I want it that way.

  • File conversion and append file in receiver file adapter

    Hi
I have a batch IDoc -> XI(3.0) -> file scenario with file conversion to create a flat CSV-like file. The problem is that because of the amount of data sent from R/3 (~20000 employees), the idoc is split into several idocs. In my receiver file adapter I want to append all the idocs contained in this data transfer to one flat file, before transmitting to FTP server.
For the next batch transfer (the next day) XI should start all over and create a new file and append all idocs contained in that transfer before transmitting the flat file to FTP server.
Can this be done using the 'Use Temporary File' and 'Append' options in the FTP connection Parameters in the comm-channel?
It is not an option to append the file in the FTP-server, because the files in the destination folder are moved immediately after arrival, so the file will be moved before file adapter can append all the files.
Does anyone have any suggestions to how to solve this?
    Br
    Kenneth

    Hi Kenneth
Did you ever get a solution to this problem?

  • File Adapter and "permanent" module exceptions

    Hi folks,
We have written a custom module for the file adapter which works fine .. In case of issues it will throw the standard "ModuleException".
The file adapter is configured to move erroneous files to a specific directory .. The SAP help specifically mentions that this happens when a "permanent" exception occured ...  I quote the guide: "A permanent error occurs either during the conversion of the file content, or in a module in the module processor"
So in case of an exception in the module processor this should work ... unfortunately it doesn't ...
Our module throws an exception but the file is not moved and the adapter keeps on retrying to process the faulty file ...
Anyone faced the same problem ?  Anyone any suggestion on how it should work ?
    Thanks,
    Steven

    Hi,
When an error occurs, a module must raise a module exception.
ModuleException can contain an exception that describes the cause of the error. To provide hints about resolving the error, the error cause is written to the trace.
To process the message again, you do not need to set a special exception.
In the case of receiver adapters, the messaging service for the adapter framework processes the message again. The conditions for this are set in the communication channel monitor.
In the case of sender adapters, you must decide in the adapter implementation whether processing the message again makes sense.
You can revert back for further queries.
    Reward if satisfied.

    Sushama

  • How to set delay between dequeue operation of an AQ adapter

    Hi,
We have one urgent requirement in 11g.
We have some messages in DB for AQ queue and from composite, we want some delay between dequeuing of messages so as to avoid dequeing all the messages at one go. JCA Adapter wizard does not provide us any option for this.
We have logged an SR for this.
    https://support.oracle.com/CSP/ui/flash.html#tab=Dashboard(page=Dashboard&id=gkpd5fj7()),(page=SRView&id=gkpd5mgo(&sr_row_id=3-1E8YP8B&sr_stmt=How%20to%20have%20some%20delay%20between%20the%20messages%20coming%20from%20ECX_OUTBOUND%20Queue%20by...&sr_number=3-3038364731))
SR has suggested us to use minimumDelayBetweenMessages property in composite.xml or to attach this property to adapter through em.
We tried to attach this property to adapter through em console
First We went to em console. Clicked on our composite from farm pane. Then clicked on Adapter under Services and Reference section of the composite page. Click on that Adapter and drill down to the properties tab.
Click on the watch icon to see all the listed properties. It does NOT contain any property minimumDelayBetweenMessages.
Even if we try to manually edit the text box and set some values, it gives error while updating value and changes are lost.
    So this does not help.
Please suggest if there is some way to have a delay in dequeue opertion of AQ adapter. Any property in jca or composite.xml ?
This is very basic functionality and I assume some solution should be there.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks & Regards,
