Movement of material from Unrestricted to Quality at sub contractor

Hi Expert,
I am looking for a way to move stock from Unrestricted to Quality for stock that is stored at a vendor (sub contractor)?
Have you got any advice?

Is your wish to move your goods from unrestricted special stock at SC vendor to QI special stock at SC vendor?
In this case you may have solution, please check transaction MB1B + relevant movement type (sorrowfully I cannot check 'cause I have no access to SAP now). Please take care of choosing proper movement type with special stock category 'O'.

Hi ALL,
The inspection lot is created with Insp. type "04" ..'Goods receipt inspection from production'...The usage decision as "DEV2" has been made for the lot...but the qty for offgrade has been posted to Quality instead of unrestricted. and new insp lot of type '08' is created..for the offgrade..
On analysis it is found "Post to insp stock " indiactor was not set...So this takes care of all future lots...But for the current lot how to move the material from Quality to Unrestricted...SAP does not allow to carry out UD for the 2nd lot.."08" .
Your help is required..

Thanks for the reply..Actually now two inspection lot exists...one with type"04' whose UD was done as "DEV2" devalue for scrap..and as a result system prompted to enter the Offgrade material ...
As a result new lot got created with new batch for the offgrade...Now do i have to create insp plan for the offgrade...or is there any other alternative...?

Transfer posting from Unrestricted to Quality using QM

Hi Team,
Im not expert in QM, I need your help.
Here is using the module QM for quality inspection, I have the following situation:
A GR 101 was done into a PO.
Quality release the material and stock moved from Quality to Unrestricted
The detect that the Qty of pieces are not correct and now they want to reverse the GR, they tried but was not possible. Error:; Deficit of SL Stck.in qual.insp 972 PCE : 004933000301 7601 9001
So What step I need to follow in order to move the inventory from unresticted to Quality.
I already try with Mov 322 but get this message: Change the inspection stock of material xxx in QM only

If you have QM then you cannot post stock with MM movement into Q-status.
But you can reverse the GR in MIGO, but not with cancel in reference to material document. You have to do a Goods receipt to purchase order but using then movement type 102 for cancellation. Then in the detail tab you can change the quality status from the proposed quality status to unrstricted status.

Stock Reversal - From Unrestricted to Quality

Hi All,
Our scenario is as follows,
Inspection takes place for a Inward material (101). Once the UD is given stock is moved from Quality Inspection to Un restricted.
Then the Raw Material is issued to Production. Some defects are observed at production Stage and they are returning it to Quality. How this can be done in SAP. I have tried to Transfer Posting (321 to 323), System says, as the Material is activated for QM Inspection, this is not possible.
Pease guide me, how to move the Material back from Unrestricted to Quality Inspection.

Hello,
You can choose a line rejection process for this. Please activate 08 inspection type for the material.
First pls do 344 movement type (MB1B) and post the material from unrestricted to block.
Then do 349 movement type for posting the material to quality from Block.
Lot will get created and you can reject the material by giving the UD and posting it to return delivery.
Please make sure that quality is active for 349 movement type in SPRO > Inspection for good movement.
Please revert back for any more doubts.

Posting change from Unrestricted to Quality inspection

Help please.
I am trying to do posting chnage using MB1B transaction (322 Mvt type). But I'am having an error : "Change the inspection stock of material XXXX in QM only".
I do not know what this error means, Please someone help me.
Initially, the material was received in "Quality inspection", but it was already been moved to Unrestricted. But now, we are having problem in doing posting change from Unrestricted to Quality inspection.

as the collegues already said. when QM is active you cannot do manual QM transfer postings.
But you can do a MIGO with 102, to cancel the receipt. (you have to change the proposed quality status in item detail from Quality to unrestricted before you can do this)
Then you can receive it again the standard way. It will again go to Qualtity inspection and create an inspection lot .

Reg. Block stock of material from Unrestricted

Dear All
Using TCode MB1B - Mvt 344 , I am trying to <b>block</b> stock of material from Unrestricted. The below error occurs. Pleaes help.
"Deficit of BA Unrestricted-use 1.225,000 KG : MODALYARN-N 1001 SC01 RED"
I have stock in Unrestricted and also some quantity in Blocked.
But I can't move.

I Presume here Baches means Batches & not the Inspection lot. If yes then you can go to QA32 & put the Batch into restricted.This can be done through MSC2n also.
This can generate 341 mvt in the background.
If Only inspection lot then you can follow the root of 08 inspection type with MB1B....

You can use the Dead line Inspections :
1. Here after the Expiry date is reached , the material can be moved back to quality stock ( New lot is created )
2. For that in Material Master , You have to activate the bath managemnet,
3. Self life interval also has to be maintained in Material Master.
4. Once based on the self line intravel, when you recevive material at Migo stage the SLED date is given and Expiy date is calculated automatically by the system.
5.By using the T-code QA 05 ,you can create the inspection lot which expired for particular batch.

when i am using automatic goods recipt for my production order order. when i confirm last operation the finished product will be recipted to the unrestricted stock of specefied storage location.
but what i want to do is. I want to move it in to blocked stock .
I have an option in the goods recipt tab of production order.its defaulting as unrestricted use stock.
well i can change it to blocked stock.
how can i default it. instead of changing it in every production order.

1. Now if u want to place the stock from unrestricted to blocked stock use MB1B transaction with 344 mov type
2. suppose if u want for perticular production order stock u want move directly to blocked stock do the following settings in order. Go to order change in CO02 click on Goods receipt tab>in control column> stock type select to blocked stock or quality stock. By default it will be unrestricted.
3. Suppose if u want all the GR to order should got quality stock, in the material master eanble inspection type 04 for that materail and maintain quality plan for tha material in QP01

Automatic transfer of material from unrestricted to transit

Hi,
I have transferred the material from 1 sales order to another sales order by Mov type- 413-E by MB1B. Ideally it should transfer to sales oder but when I checked the stock in MB52, I can not see the stock against that SO.
But this stock automatically got transferred to transit.
Can u please tell me how it could possible. Rather there is a another mov type 558-E to transfer material from stock to transit.

I have checked the movement type in MB51 it is showing the same as 413-E.
As I suppose to reverse or cancel it by MBST but somebody already has made the GRN against it and that stock came again in Unrestricted of that Sales order to which I have transferred.

Movement of material from one S.Loc to another S.Loc (both are WM managed)

When i transfer the material between s.locations (both are WM managed) TR itself is not getting created and i checked all the necessary configs and everything seems to be correct. But the strange thing is if i check in LS24 the stock is placed in interim storage type where as TO is not created also TR is not created as our process is TO will be converted automatically from TR.
Any light on this issue will be much appreciated.

Hi Sudhakar,
Check if Auto TR is enabled for the Movement type, if you need to have the TR information - disable this setting in OMLR. Else Goto LT10 and move the Goods from Interim location to the final bins.

Movement of material from one plant to other within the same country

Hello,
I would like to move material from one plant to other via tran MB1B.
The system generates the following error while trying to save document :
Account determination for entry BAS1 BSX 9000 ___ C100 not possible
The system did not find an account for this transaction. This means that the account determination for key BAS1 BSX 9000 ___ C100 is not maintained in MM Customizing (Valuation). The key is made up of:
Chart of account
Transaction key (= Posting transaction)
Valuation grouping code
Account grouping code
Valuation class
System Response
The system cannot update a G/L account for this transaction. You cannot post the transaction.
Can you please tell me where the necessary setting should be made.

Transfer from unrestricted to quality

Dear Gurus,
I have a scenario that sometimse I need to transfer a certain quantity in the unrestricted stock to quality inspection stock and perform inspection to it.
I tried to transfer the quantity from transaction MIGO, but it didn't allow as quality is active on the material.
Keep in mind that this is not the case of recurring inspection, it is random.
How can I handle this issue?

I will try to answer your question based on the little information provided by you.
As you have posted the stock already to the Unrestricted you can reverse the stock to quality using OSS note 175842.
Again if you do not want to reverse the inspection stock posting and ur business scenario allows you to create new inspection lot then you can use stock transfer inspection. Transfer posting ( Storage location to storage location) but create a Z movement type so that it will not effect your daily storage location transfers. Activate material for 08 Stock transfer inspection or new variant of 08, in QM view.
Post the material using MIGO

QM - WM : How to change stock from Unrestricted to Quality

I am working for the first time on a Project with both WM and QM and facing an issue : for a certain material, there was some stock in Quality - I released it using a Posting change via LQ02 Transaction and movement 321 (worked fine in WM and IM)
I am now able to create the QM view to activate QM in case of customer returns...
I now would like to put back this stock to Quality : I am using again LQ02 with movement 322 as IM and WM Movements have been linked in customizing...It doesn't work as I receive the message : *u201CChange the inspection stock of material *** in QM onlyu201D.*
Can any one explain me how to proceed to put back this stock to Quality as I only removed it to create the missing QM view and activate the inspection type.
I have no clue about QM but I checked in Customizing and it seems movemnet 322 is not relevant for QM so I don't understand this error message....
