Movement types 631 & 661
All,
In which transactions we will use movement types 631 and 661 ?
These cannot be used in MB1A,MB1Cand MB1B . So where this can be used ?

Some movement types will be triggered in the background when you are performing the transactions.
Example : Mvt type 543 will be triggered to post the consumption of components in back ground while receiving the subcontracted material using MIGO(101).Mvt type 543 , you can't use in MGO/MB1B/MB1A/MB1C.
Similarly when your are retuning the goods to vendor using shipping (Delivery + PGI) backgroud system will trigger the MVT type 661 and posts the G/L account entries. Similarly for 631: when Goods issue with SD delivery to consignment stock at customer place, system will trigger the 631.

Consignment - pgi - mov type 631 - error
Hi Friends,
I have the following issue.
A sales order is created for consignment fillup, material is confirmed, delivery is created successfully.
But while doing PGI we are getting following error.
"Please enter a customer for special stock W".
Has anyone got the same error before?
Any ideas will be appreciated.

In consignment fillup, if the Partner function is set to mandatory for delivery, you need to maintain the same in the path what I have suggested above. Otherwise, you cannot do PGI. Just test and confirm whether my suggestion is correct or not.
If you dont want this setting, go to IMG path -- SD --> Basic Functions --> Parter Determination --> Set Up Partner Determination --> Set Up Partner Determination for Delivery.
There select "LF" and double click on "Partner Functions in Procedure". There check whether "SB" is checked for "Mandatory Function". You have to untick this, if you dont want to maintain for each and every delivery.

In consignment orders you are allowing the stock to sit in your customer location. Once he informs that he used the stock you will invoice him. If he returns the stock you will accept the stock to take it back.
It is defined in 4 steps.
1. Consignment fill up:
Sales document type is KB
Item category KBN
shedule line category E1
In this step, you are not invoicing the customer. document flow is sales order -
delivery item category. It will not be relevent for billing and pricing because you are not charging money for these goods in this step.
In schedule line category, you will set movement type 631 & set for availability check and TOR.
2. Consignment Issue.
Once the customer informed you that he used all the goods or partial goods then you will create consignment issue for used goods.
Sales document: KE
Item category: KEN
shedule line category: C0 or C1
Here you are invoicing the customer(because he used the goods). you are assigning the delivery documnt and billing document to the sales document.
In item category, you are setting relevent for billing, pricing, special stock.
In schedule line category, your setting is 633 movement type, relevent for availability check & TOR.
3. Consignment Return:
Customer found that some goods are damaged or he not able to sold the goods he want to send it back. that you are creating this document.
Sales document type: KR
Item category: KRN
Shedule line category: D0
You will assign delivery document and billing to sales document. you will create return order, return delivery, return billing.
Your setting item category relevent for billing, returns, pricing, special stock.
Your setting schedule line item category: 634 movement type, NO availability NO TOR.
4. Consignment Pick up:
Even if you create the consignment return the goods are not come to direct to your plant. For that you need to create consignment pick up. here the owner ship is not changing so you do not need to create billing.
Assign retrun delivery to sales document type.
Sales document: KA
Item category: KAN
schedule line category: F0 & F1
Your setting item category relevent for returns. any shedule line category relevent for 632 movement type, MRP, availability check, delivery

For Consignment Fill Up Delivery which when created and PGI it is using a movement type 631 which is transferring goods from xxxx storage location to a unknown storage location. What I need is I need to make a change which when delivery is issued, the goods must be transferred from xxxx storage location to yyyy storage location. How can I do this. Please Advise.

When I create a Consignment Fill up Delivery the goods must be moved from xxxx to yyyy but instead of that now it is moving to xxxx to zzzz. How do I make this change?

I am SD consultant.
I wish to know how movement type 631 results in generation of consignment stock?
When we post goods issue from SD side (SD schedule line E1, Movement type 631); stock moves from unrestricted to customer consignment (special stock indicator W).
Which setting in movement type decides this?
I have checked OMJJ, but have not come to any conclusion.

When SAP executes the consignment fill-up (mvt 631) the material document will have two items:
- one is to remove the stock from your SLoc
- one is to move the stock into the consignment special stock segment ("W")
I don't know where is defined that system should create two items - I'm afraid it is not (directly) part of the config (OMJJ)...(similarly to 541, 641, 311, etc)
I'm also interested...maybe someone of high knowledge can explain it to us...

How to change COGS at movement type in SD modules
Dear Experts,
I'm midst of make some settings for online buyers for our company goods. We call this as eSP process. Below I explain more in details how it works before go to my issue. This may help you understand well about this issue.
Exp: customer - EP-ZSB277
Stor. loc : 10TP
Stock available : 10 pcs (t/code: MMBE)
Material : 3100010223 & moving average price (MAP) RM10/pc
1. SO : ZEI1 (SRS)
- qty: 1pc
- outbound delivery : YEI1
- billing : XEI1
- movement type : 631
- material movement : 10TP qty 9pcs (stock reduce) & customer consignment stock EP-ZSB277 qty 1pc (stock increase)
since this is online business, user do Billing once customer place the order BUT that material still at our premises under special stock (customer consignment stock, NOT at stor. loc. 10TP) until sufficient stock to make delivery
2. SO : ZEF1 (replenishment)
- qty: 1pc
- outbound delivery : YEF1
- NO billing
- movement type : 633
- material movement : customer consignment stock qty 0pc (stock out from location) & NO effect at stor. loc. 10TP
user will do ZEF1 & YEF1 when delivery to customer taking place (stock out will happen in system)
So far I managed to do all these settings & all are work fine unlikely COGS.
- COGS happen during YEF1, NOT at YEI1. Honestly I didn't do any settings against this COGS for eSP process so I don't know how this happen & how to change this. In fact I'm wonder how to make this settings in SD modules.
- user said this is wrong coz SRS & replenishment is not happen in same day
Exp: ZEI1 (SRS) today but ZEF1 (replenishment) happen at next month. Before ZEF1 for 3100010223 material to EP-ZSB277 customer, there are high possibilities that 3100010223 sell to other customer & this caused to COGS can be differ.
Now I'm seeking your help how may I set COGS to YEI1 & cancel COGS at YEF1. Please assist me. TQ

Material document 4900349707 does not include an accounting document

Diagnosis
The system cannot find an accounting document for the material document 4900349707.
Possible reasons for this are:
u2022 The goods movement has no relevance to accounting. Therefore, the system did not generate an accounting document for the material document.
u2022 The material document is a document that was posted before Release 2.1. Such documents must be converted so that the system can find the relevant accounting document.
u2022 The procedure for the subsequent calculation of value is not active in your system. For further information, refer to the documentation on the program for valuating goods movements: RM07MWBU.
Procedure
u2022 Choose Continue and then choose another function.
u2022 Find out when the material document was created. If the document was created prior to the Release changeover, ask your system administrator to carry out the conversion of the documents. The individual steps required for document conversion are described in the Release Notes for Release 2.1B.
But when I created another SO ZEF1 & outbound delivery YEF1, system give error during PGI. Actually I didnu2019t set any g/l acct for acct modifier Z33.
Account determination for entry CNI GBB 3100 Z33 7920 not possible
Message no. M8147
Diagnosis
The system did not find an account for this transaction. This means that the account determination for key CNI GBB 3100 Z33 7920 is not maintained in MM Customizing (Valuation). The key is made up of:

Dear friends ,
We made a process to send goods to the vendor fix this good via SD with an sales order with movement type 631 (customer consignment) because the clerk want to see this specific goods in special stock.
Now the clerk want to put this good in Quality when goods movement 632 put the quantity back.
Is it possible to do this for the movement type 632 when the goods is returning ? We don't have QM active here in the company.
If is not possible any other possibility via other movement considering the process above ?

Also state the Item Category group maintained in the material master.

WM movement type 255 not allowed for warehouse number 008
Hi,
Error message "WM movement type 255 not allowed for warehouse number 008" pops up during creation of outbound delivery. I checked the schedule line for this sales order, it was actually tagged to movement type 631 instead of 255. There ain't any movement type 255 at all. How to solve this?

631 movement type Duplicate Entry in RG1 Register against IDH & ROP classif
Dear Friends,
After after RG1 Registerupdate in J1I5. I v check the J_1iRG1 table and found that
same material Document against 631 movement type reappear under IDH(Issue) and ROP (Recipt) classification.
Advise me
1. Where is my mistake
2. What should to do rectify this double entry.

Below you will find a short description of the standard movement types. The reversal movement type is the movement type + 1 (reversal of 101 = 102).
101 Goods receipt for purchase order or order
If the purchase order or order has not been assigned to an account, a stock type (unrestricted-use stock, stock in quality inspection, blocked stock) can be entered during goods receipt.
If the purchase order or order has been assigned to an account, the goods receipt is not posted to the warehouse, but to consumption.
In the case of non-valuated materials, the goods receipt is posted to the warehouse, although the purchase order has not been assigned to an account.
Possible special stock indicators:
K Goods receipt for purchase order to consignment stock
O Goods receipt for purchase order to stock of material provided to vendor
E GR for purchase order or order to sales order stock
Q GR for purchase order or order to project stock.
Goods receipt for
subcontract order: at goods receipt, the consumption of the components is posted at the same time (see movement type 543)
Goods receipt for
stock transport order: at goods receipt the transported quantity is posted in the receiving plant from stock in transit into unrestricted-use stock (stock in quality inspection or blocked stock).
103 Goods receipt for purchase order into GR blocked stock
You cannot receive goods into goods receipt blocked stock for stock transport orders.

Movement type 105 has the same effects as 101.

121 Subsequent adjustment for subcontracting
This movement type cannot be entered manually.

For this reason, if there is a subsequent adjustment, an item is generated for the produced material using movement movement type 121.
Movement type 121 does not have a reversal movement type.

Using movement type 122, you can distinguish real return deliveries for a purchase order or order from cancellations (102).

305 Transfer posting plant to plant in two steps - placement in storage
The quantity is posted from stock in transfer to unrestricted-use stock in the receiving plant. The movement is not valuated.
You can use movement type 605 in Shipping to post the goods receipt with reference to the delivery.

309 Transfer posting material to material
The quantity is posted from unrestricted-use stock of the issuing material into unrestricted-use stock in the receiving material.
Prerequisite: both materials have the same stockkeeping unit.

The quantity is transferred from unrestricted-use stock of the issuing storage location to unrestricted use in the receiving storage location.

You can configure Customizing so that a structured material (for example, aset, prepack, or display is automatically split into its components at goods receipt. The system posts the split using movement type 319. In this process, the BOM header material is posted and each of the component stocks are increased. You can also use this function if you use the Warehouse Management System (LE-WM).

Example:

Movement type 351 is only used if the goods issue is posted without a delivery in Shipping. A goods issue for a stock transport order with delivery in Shipping is posted using movement types 641, 643, 645, or 647.
The transfer posting is also possible for materials with split valuation.
The goods issue for a stock transport order takes place using movement type 101.

For special stock indicators E and Q and for purchase orders assigned to an account, ensure that the quantity is not posted to the stock in transit in the receiving plant.
411 Transfer posting of special stocks E, K, and Q to company's own stock
The quantity is transferred from unrestricted-use special stock E (sales order stock), unrestricted-use stock K ( consignment stock) and unrestricted-use special stock Q (project stock) to unrestricted-use storage location stock. The corresponding special stock indicator is required for this movement.
If you do not use the special stock indicator, the system uses this movement type and movement type 311.
For sales order stock, you can change the material number for this movement if you manage the material in your company's own stock under a different material number (for example, for configurable materials).
Consignment stock is transferred to valuated stock, thus resulting in a vendor liability.
413 Transfer posting to sales order stock
You can use this movement type to carry out a transfer posting from your own unrestricted-use stock, other sales order stock, consignment stock, and project stock to a sales order stock.
Possible special stock indicators:
E, K, Q
415 Transfer posting to project stock
You can use this movement type to carry out a transfer posting from your own unrestricted-use stock, consignment stock, and other project stock to a project stock.
Possible special stock indicators:

441 Transfer posting non-tied to tied empties
Part of the stock of an "empties" material assigned to a full product is managed in the stock type "tied empties".
Empties stock not assigned to a full product forms part of the stock type "unrestricted-use".
Using movement type 441, you can make a transfer posting for an empties material from the stock type "unrestricted-use" to the stock type "tied empties". Movement type 442 reverses this transaction.
Example:
The full product "beer" has a stock of 15 cases. Part of the empties components "bottle" and "case" is tied empties stock.

Using movement type 451, you post customer returns without a returns delivery in Shipping into blocked stock returns.

The quantity is transferred from blocked stock returns to unrestricted-use stock and thereby transferred to valuated stock.
With this movement you can transfer the quantity to another storage location at the same time.

Any movement of stock in SAP has a movement type , u can see the movement types in T:code: OMJJ
As such a movement type is not directly related to any order type. But the combination of
order type + item category group ==> item category
now
item category + MRP type ( from mat master) --- > Schedule line category.
The movement type is linked with schedule line category. As a thumb rule all Movement types from 601 to 699 belong purely to SD.
If u want to c the movement type related to that particular order go with the following path.
Hit the icon 'schedule line for the item' , in the following screen hit 'procurement push button' there u will find the movement type.
For each material movement, the system uses the movement type to determine the rules for updating the stock quantities and the stock values in the relevant G/L accounts.

If the purchase order or order has been assigned to an account, the goods receipt is not posted to the warehouse, but to consumption.
In the case of non-valuated materials, the goods receipt is posted to the warehouse, although the purchase order has not been assigned to an account.

You can also use this function if you use the Warehouse Management System (WM).

Part of the stock of an "empties" material assigned to a full product is managed in the stock type "tied empties".

Using movement type 441, you can make a transfer posting for an empties material from the stock type "unrestricted-use" to the stock type "tied empties". Movement type 442 reverses this transaction.

It plays a central role in Automatic Account determination. Together with other factors Movement types determines which stock or consumption accounts are updated in Financial Accounting.

If the purchase order or order has been assigned to an account, the goods receipt is not posted to the warehouse, but to consumption.
In the case of non-valuated materials, the goods receipt is posted to the warehouse, although the purchase order has not been assigned to an account.

Example:
