Movement types used in STO one-step process

Dear all,
Presently the one-step STO process in my system uses mvt 645 for Good Issue and mvt 101 for goods receipt. I need to have it use a custom copy of mvt 101 for goos receipt.
Does anyone know where this setting can be changed? Can it be changed?
Thanks
Cao Huy

  • Which movement type use for return stock form one plant to other plant  in

HI friends i am working on STO PROCESS
i need to transfer return stock from one plant to other plant as a return stock i am using Mvt type 455
    but system shows  following error
Update control of movement type is incorrect (entry 455 X X _ L)
    Message no. M7226
    Diagnosis
The system could not find entry 455 X X _ L in any of the movement type control tables.
    Procedure
    Cancel current processing.
    Contact your system administrator.
Action to be taken by the system administrator
Check in Customizing for Inventory Management under Copy, Change Movement Types whether the entry is contained in the Update control view for the movement type.
If the entry is missing, proceed as follows:
For standard movement types, this means that the given process is not supported using the present data combination. Do not create any entries without prior arrangement with your SAP consultant. Otherwise, incorrect postings may result.
For customer-defined movement types (beginning with 9, X, Y, or Z), this may mean that they have not been fully defined. Delete the movement type and re-create it by copying a standard movement type.
    thanks in advance

    Hello,
I think there is a standard STO movement type you can use. But I can't remember. Why don't you try to find it and test if it fit your requirement?
There are some information for your reference. Please check on website:
    http://www.sap-img.com/materials/difference-for-stock-transfer-and-transfer-posting.htm
    Using STO without delivery:
      doc.type: UB
      GI:351, GR:101
      STO with delivery:
      GI:641, GR:101
      delivery type:NL
      STO with delivery and billing:
      GI:643, GR:101
      delivery type:NLCC , billing type:IV
And if you want to use the way to return the goods replenishment, try to flag the return checkbox while you create purchase order item. Of course, corresponding configuration is required.

  • Movement types used in these activities and also STO

    HI SAP GURUS,
Movement types used in these activities and also STO ( PLANT TO DEPO), (DEPO TO PLANT ) WIT AND WITHIN 1 COMPANY CODES
    AT PGI
    AT BILLING
    AT RETURNS
all possible ways OR any short cuts
points are to be rewarded for best relevent answer

    hi
    for PGI 601
    for Returns 651
for Billing - None, because it is either copied from delivery or order.
What is a depo in your language? Is it a storage location,if yes, shop floor to storage location it is 911
    for STO
If it is within company code STO, in the STO it is 101, during delivery 641.
it is intra company codes, then it is 101 in STO and delivery it is 645 or 647 (not sure)
    goodluck.

  • Sto 2 step process

    Hi
    experts,
i know about sto 1 step process.
kindly give me the configuration steps for 2 step process.
pls don't say in 2 step process updation takes place manually. i didn't get it.
    so give me complete steps.
i searched in the forum but i didnt get it. may be i dont now proper search.
so pls provide me configuration steps

    Hi,
Within SAP Inventory Management, there are two methods how stocks are moved between plants using a 2-step process:
    Stock Transport Orders (UB)
    Transfer Posting
    What does 2-step mean?
Example: Letu2019s assume stock is moving from Plant A (Storage Location 0001) to Plant B (storage location 0002).
Two step means that two transactions will be used to move the stock. After the first transaction, stock has left plant A but it is not yet available at Plant B. Only after the second transaction is it available for use in Plant B.
Some reasons for using 2-step movements (and not 1 step):
Long time span between leaving Plant A and arriving at Plant B
Need to control when goods leave plant A but not received at plant B
    Using Stock Transport Orders (STO)
    Steps:
Create a Stock Transport Order (ME21N, Purchase Order doc type UB)
Process Goods Issue against STO (MIGO > Goods Issue > PO) u2013 movement type 351
Process Goods Receipt against STO (MIGO > Goods Receipt > PO) u2013 movement type 101
The use of Planned Orders and Purchase Requisitions are optional.
    Using Transfer Postings (TP)
    Steps:
Process a Transfer Posting (MIGO > Transfer Posting) u2013 movement type 303
Process a Transfer Posting (MIGO > Transfer Posting) u2013 movement type 305
The Transfer Posting can be done with reference to a Reservation. Although this is not used a lot.
Similarities between Stock Transport Orders (STO) and Transfer Postings (TP)
Both use transaction MIGO for both steps
After first step, goods are already reflected in receiving plant and not available
Differences between Stock Transport Orders (STO) and Transfer Postings (TP)
    Movement types are different
    351 & 101 for STO
    303 & 305 for TP
Stock types at receiving plants are different
    - In Transfer (MARC-UMLMC) for TP
    - Stock in Transit (MARC-TRAME)for STO
For STO, 351 and 101 is group together where for TP there is no link between 303 and 305
STO requires more transactions than TP
STO must be configured for the sending plant / receiving plant where no plant specific configuration exists for TP
STO is based on Stock Transport Order (type of Purchase Order). Where no purchasing document is used for TP
STO can be initiated with a Planned Order or Purchase Requisition
Planning (MRP) can be used to initiate movements, but only STOu2019s
    Configuration required to use STO
Config: MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up Stock Transport Order > Assign Document Type, One-Step Procedure, Underdelivery Tolerance
Here untick the one step procedure for document type ub and nl. It will perform the 2 step process in STO.
Here the source plant, destination plant and allowed STO document type is specified.
    Thanks
    Prashant

  • List of all the process types used in the creation of process chains

    Hi Gurus,
I am new to process chains creation, can any one give the list of all the process types used in the creation of process chains and there uses also.
Please search the forum before posting a thread
Edited by: Pravender on Jan 4, 2011 4:18 PM

    Hi,
As process chain is to automate the data load step.
For Ex:- If you are loading data from R/3 to DSO CUBE.
Here you require Info package to load till PSA.
                                 DTP to load till DSO
                                  Another DTP to load Cube.
And all other process like psa deletion AND process you can find in RSPC tab.

  • Display Blocked BPs-Can we see all detailed analyses in a one step process?

    Hi
Before releasing any BPs blocked by the system our compliance users check the details of the blocks.
Currently it is a 2 step process (after they are in the detailed screen of the Display Blocked Business Partners menu):
1 u2013 Double click on the name of the blocked BPs.
2 u2013 Click on icon u201CDisplay All Detailed Analysesu201D to show detailed analysis of all hits.
Is there any way we can make it a one step process and see all details analysis immediately after selecting the blocked BPs?
SAP Compliance Management -> Sanctioned Party List Screening -> Monitoring -> Business Partner -> Display Blocked Business Partners.
    Thanks!

We can go to the SPL BP blocked list from the path you have mentioned. In the list select a line item and at the header there is partner. If you click on that you can see detailed analysis in there. Just click on it and it would be one step for you. But from here you can't release.

  • Movement type used for ISSUE.

    Hello all,
I need to create report, where i need to list out all the  movment type used for ISSUE(Consumption).
How to list out all movement type used only for ISSUE(consumption). Is there any logic can be used here?
    Useful answer will be appreciated...
    Regards,
    Shyam

    hi,
go to MB51 and enter the movent types shown below for issues or consumption, then you  will get list of all documents related to consuptions.
    201-consumption for cost centrer
    221-consumption for project
    231-consumption for sales order
    241-consumption for assest
    251-consumption for sales
    261-consumption for order
    281-consumption for network
    291-consumption for all account assignments.
you have to remember the movement types, i think there is no special logic to get these movement types separetly.

  • STO One Step Movement Type Configuration

Currently,we have a scenario where we want to configure a copy of movment 645 (one step) to use. The reason is we have follow on processes that are conditional and the stock transport is a logical move for business reason.
We are able to configure the copy of the original movement. However, what we are not able to do is change the subsequent "101" follow on movement.
We would like to change this. Can someone give some advice...

    Hello
Stock  tranport  order for 1st step  Plant to plant 1 step  has movement type 301 and there is no need to do GR.
The quantity of the stock transferred is posted immediately from the unrestricted-use stock of the issuing plant to the unrestricted-use stock of the receiving plant
Kindly recheck your scenario or provide more details to check how it can be done.
    Awaiting your kind reply.

  • Movement Type 161error in STO return (Plant to Plant) at the time of goods issue .

    Hi all...
Am getting the following error while posting goods issue through VL02N
Update control of movement type is incorrect (entry 161 X X _ L)
    Message no. M7226
    Diagnosis
The system could not find entry 161 X X _ L in any of the movement type control tables.
Process : STO Return Plant to Plant.
    Purchase Order ( STO) done.
    Goods issue done.
Goods receipt at the receiving plant.
Amended Purchase order, added one more line item and ticked return.
    Inbound delivery done.
VL02n Goods issue am getting the error.
    Pls help.

Update control of movement type is incorrect (entry 161 X X _ L)
Have a look into your OMJJ customizing for 161 movement type:
    It probably looks like mine:
the error message has the info in exact the same sequence
    161 X X _ L
this is 161, checkmark checkmark blank L  in the table above.
L would mean reference to a delivery.
But as you can see here, there is no L, everything is B which means reference to purchase order.
It is not allowed to add items in a delivery without purchase order reference, it is technically possible, but it finally ends in the error you have.
The process has to start from the purchase order.

  • About Movement type used in Goods Issue from Subcontracting Stock directly

    HI SAP MM Expert,
We have transfer material to subcontractor through transfer posting using Mvt. 541 and raised subtracting challan also. Material is not returned by Subcontractor and  now we want to debit Subcontractor A/c . For w we want to mkae Goods Issue (Direct consumption)  from Subcontracting Stock and raised debit note subcontractor through FI. In this case what movement type & Transaction code  should be used to consume stock from subcontractor account and t.code for raising debit note to subcontractor in SAP R/3 system.
    Pls. suggest the process.
    Regards
    VKM

For subsequent adjustment to subcontracting stock use transaction MB04
If the vendor informs you that a greater or smaller quantity of the components was actually consumed than planned in the purchase order, you must post a subsequent adjustment to correct the goods issue posting. The value of the goods receipt is recalculated to include the
subsequent adjustment quantity. (SAP transaction MB04)
Subsequent Adjustment to Subcontracting PO (Move 121/544)
Negative adjustment (Vendor Consumed Less but you Consumed
more in SAP and subsequently you did minus adjustment to component consumption
    in SAP)
    Debit
      - Raw Material Inventory (S)
    Credit
    - Vendor Subcontracting Charges (H)
Subsequent Adjustment to Subcontracting PO (Move 121/543)
Positive adjustment (Vendor consumed more but you consumed
less in SAP and subsequently you added further component consumption in SAP)
    Credit
    - Raw Material Inventory (H)
    Debit
    - Vendor Subcontracting Charges (S)
