Movement types without description in Spanish
Hi !
We are facing a problem on that some movement types like 651 does not have description in Spanish language. For example, in the MB51 we cannot see any description for some movement types.
In the development environment its ok , in the quality and productive its wrong.
Do you have any clue on that?

Check in MIGO Transaction, what is the movement type showing GR for Goods Receipt in right side.If it is showing 501 , changed it to 101 Movement type make it Change to Default Values 101. Now you can post GR with respect to PO.

Material Return from 542 movement type without purchase order

I have a problem regaring material return from vendor through 542 mov type against purchase order.
when i transfer material to vendor with mov type 541. and after grv if we return material from vendor against purchase order.
system doesnot allow to return material against purchase order. it allows mov type 542 for returning material from venodr without pruchase order.
Suppose we have 10 quality for a component to transfer vendor we take grv and issue 5 qty through 543 move type automatically. if we want to take return 5 remaining qty from vendor against purchase order .
system doesnot allow to return component from vendor against purchase order.
but allow to return component from vendor without purchase order.
vendor stocks becomes less but purchase order still open for open quantity.
how we could control vendor's returing material with the reference of purchase order after grv.

Are you creating return Po for subcontracting vendor with item category L.?
we used movement type 541 to send material to vendor ,now you want movement type 542 in system means take back from vendor?
I don't think so it will make work and make any sense
why you are not adjust your component with subcontracting adjustment in sap mm

Copy of 601 movement type without reference to delivery
I have created new movement type as 901(copy from 601 movement type) in OMJJ. I want to use this 901 movement without reference to delivery in my project. In Account grouping and update control-Movement indicator L is available. But entry is in freeze mode so I am not able to remove movement indicator L. So please guide me how can I achieve this? Is there any way?
I have made copy of 231 movement. but problem is in case of 601, we can maintain VAX account in case of non consumption posting and VAY in case of consumption posting. But in 231 movement this facility/such record not available to maintain both VAX and VAY. My company is using both VAX and VAY. So in both case( 231 and 601), I have to change/create records of movement combinations. So please suggest keeping this thing into consideration.

Post with 561 movement type without affecting MAP
Hi all,
I have a scenario for Raw Material with Moving Average Price.
When posting inventory with movement type 561 we are able to enter the Amount in LC. I have set the value here as 0.01 but once I post the document the Moving Average Price in MM03 changes with respect to this value.
I would like to ask is there any way to book stock into inventory without affecting the Moving Average Price.

Do not enter any external value, just post the quantity, and SAP will not change the MAP.
But of course your stock value will increase by 500 x 1,5
there is NO WAY to post a quantity of 500 with no value for a valuated stock managed material and keeping the MAP uneffected.
if you post with value, then the MAP keeps constant but your total stock value goes up.
if you post with zero value, then the MAP goes down.
OF course you can then change the MAP again with MR21, this will create the next accounting document then. -
Move Type without leaving residual type image behind
In InDesign, like Freehand, I can select a block of type and
hold the cursor still for a second, then move the text and see it
while it is moving for better placement visually. The problem is,
in Freehand, it leaves the original image of the type also in place
where it was before I started moving it. Is this a feature that can
be turned on and off, or, is there a way to not leave the residual
image behind when moving a text block?

cursor, the original block of type disappears, as it should because

543 O movement type without performing 541 O using adsubcon
Hi,
I have a business requirement to receive a material part from the subcontractor first (Po line item 1) before sending out the unserviceable/spoilt material part to the subcontractor (PO line item 2).
1) Thus item category 'L' for both PO lines are required.
2) But I am unable to perform a 101 - 543O (GR) without first doing a 541O(GI) first to PO line item 1.
The error : Goods receipt for purchase order XXX not possible.
So I have attempted performing a 561O to subcontract vendor stock, but using ADSUBCON, I am still unable to post 101-543O (GR) against PO line item 1.
The same error appear : Goods receipt for purchase order XXX not possible.
Please advise if there is any solution to such scenarios.

Inaddition to the above...
For the normal process, subcontracting work is done only when you provide the components and with the same components the subcontractor makes the final product and delivers you..
Now when you don't send it before, the subcontractor will not be able to make the finish goods and you'll not the final material for GR...
You can do one thing, if you don't have material at present in your company, make the PO as per third party scenerio, where the vendor directly sends the material to the subcontractor and you only do the GR just after PO...
So, in third party scenerio only GR is possible after PO while the transfer is posted internally by the system.

Below you will find a short description of the standard movement types. The reversal movement type is the movement type + 1 (reversal of 101 = 102).
101 Goods receipt for purchase order or order
If the purchase order or order has not been assigned to an account, a stock type (unrestricted-use stock, stock in quality inspection, blocked stock) can be entered during goods receipt.
If the purchase order or order has been assigned to an account, the goods receipt is not posted to the warehouse, but to consumption.
In the case of non-valuated materials, the goods receipt is posted to the warehouse, although the purchase order has not been assigned to an account.
Possible special stock indicators:
K Goods receipt for purchase order to consignment stock
O Goods receipt for purchase order to stock of material provided to vendor
E GR for purchase order or order to sales order stock
Q GR for purchase order or order to project stock.
Goods receipt for
subcontract order: at goods receipt, the consumption of the components is posted at the same time (see movement type 543)
Goods receipt for
stock transport order: at goods receipt the transported quantity is posted in the receiving plant from stock in transit into unrestricted-use stock (stock in quality inspection or blocked stock).
103 Goods receipt for purchase order into GR blocked stock
You cannot receive goods into goods receipt blocked stock for stock transport orders.

Movement type 105 has the same effects as 101.

121 Subsequent adjustment for subcontracting
This movement type cannot be entered manually.
With a subsequent adjustment for a subcontract order it is possible to correct the consumption of components. In this case, the material produced by the supplier is credited with the excess consumption / under-consumption. For this reason, if there is a subsequent adjustment, an item is generated for the produced material using movement movement type 121.
Movement type 121 does not have a reversal movement type.

122 Return delivery to supplier or to production
Using movement type 122, you can distinguish real return deliveries for a purchase order or order from cancellations (102).
In the standard version, you must enter a reason for the return delivery if you are using movement type 122. This enables you to carry out evaluations for return deliveries.
The effects of movement type 122 correspond to a cancellation of movement type 101.

123 Reversal of return delivery
If you returned a goods receipt using movement type 122, you can reverse the return delivery using movement type 123. This movement type has the same effects as movement type 101.

411 Transfer posting of special stocks E, K, and Q to company's own stock
The quantity is transferred from unrestricted-use special stock E (sales order stock), unrestricted-use stock K ( consignment stock) and unrestricted-use special stock Q (project stock) to unrestricted-use storage location stock. The corresponding special stock indicator is required for this movement.
If you do not use the special stock indicator, the system uses this movement type and movement type 311.
For sales order stock, you can change the material number for this movement if you manage the material in your company's own stock under a different material number (for example, for configurable materials).
Consignment stock is transferred to valuated stock, thus resulting in a vendor liability.
413 Transfer posting to sales order stock
You can use this movement type to carry out a transfer posting from your own unrestricted-use stock, other sales order stock, consignment stock, and project stock to a sales order stock.

415 Transfer posting to project stock
You can use this movement type to carry out a transfer posting from your own unrestricted-use stock, consignment stock, and other project stock to a project stock.

Part of the stock of an "empties" material assigned to a full product is managed in the stock type "tied empties".
Empties stock not assigned to a full product forms part of the stock type "unrestricted-use".
Using movement type 441, you can make a transfer posting for an empties material from the stock type "unrestricted-use" to the stock type "tied empties". Movement type 442 reverses this transaction.
Example:
The full product "beer" has a stock of 15 cases. Part of the empties components "bottle" and "case" is tied empties stock.

Inventory Movement Types in 6.0
Hello -
We are upgrading to ECC 6.0 and are unsure what to do about losing the config for former transaction OFBW; where we indicated what inventory movement types were budget relevant. In our 6.0 test client we tested all the goods issue movement types we use and they all update FM as we expect them to and this is without affecting the derivation for the loss of transaction OFBW. I doubt the system is pulling from this former config that is no longer present in 6.0 (even thought we can still diplay this in 6.0). Note that I was able to successfully affect the derivation table to now derive the warehouse funds centers, since we lost that config in 6.0 too (former transaction FMLF).
Should we be concerned that things are working in 6.0 as they have in the past for the movement types without us affecting anything for this to happen?
Any thoughts?

Any movement of stock in SAP has a movement type , u can see the movement types in T:code: OMJJ
As such a movement type is not directly related to any order type. But the combination of
order type + item category group ==> item category
now
item category + MRP type ( from mat master) --- > Schedule line category.
The movement type is linked with schedule line category. As a thumb rule all Movement types from 601 to 699 belong purely to SD.
If u want to c the movement type related to that particular order go with the following path.
Hit the icon 'schedule line for the item' , in the following screen hit 'procurement push button' there u will find the movement type.
For each material movement, the system uses the movement type to determine the rules for updating the stock quantities and the stock values in the relevant G/L accounts.

The movement type is a three-digit key used to differentiate between goods movements in the R/3
System. Examples of these goods movements are goods receipts, goods issues or transfer postings
It plays a central role in Automatic Account determination. Together with other factors Movement types determines which stock or consumption accounts are updated in Financial Accounting.
We will use the Standard Movement types of SAP..
In case as per the Business requirement if you want any new Mvt type..
then you need to COpy the Standard Mvt type in OMJJ

Movement type is the movement type + 1 (reversal of 101 = 102).
101 Goods receipt for purchase order or order
If the purchase order or order has not been assigned to an account, a stock type (unrestricted-use stock, stock in quality inspection, blocked stock) can be entered during goods receipt.
If the purchase order or order has been assigned to an account, the goods receipt is not posted to the warehouse, but to consumption.
In the case of non-valuated materials, the goods receipt is posted to the warehouse, although the purchase order has not been assigned to an account.

Movement type 121 does not have a reversal movement type.

Movement type 351 is only used if the goods issue is posted without a delivery in Shipping. A goods issue for a stock transport order with delivery in Shipping is posted using movement types 641, 643, 645, or 647.
The transfer posting is also possible for materials with split valuation.
The goods issue for a stock transport order takes place using movement type 101.

411 Transfer posting of special stocks E, K, and Q to company's own stock
The quantity is transferred from unrestricted-use special stock E (sales order stock), unrestricted-use stock K ( consignment stock) and unrestricted-use special stock Q (project stock) to unrestricted-use storage location stock. The corresponding special stock indicator is required for this movement.
If you do not use the special stock indicator, the system uses this movement type and movement type 311.
For sales order stock, you can change the material number for this movement if you manage the material in your company's own stock under a different material number (for example, for configurable materials).
Consignment stock is transferred to valuated stock, thus resulting in a vendor liability.
413 Transfer posting to sales order stock
You can use this movement type to carry out a transfer posting from your own unrestricted-use stock, other sales order stock, consignment stock, and project stock to a sales order stock.

415 Transfer posting to project stock
You can use this movement type to carry out a transfer posting from your own unrestricted-use stock, consignment stock, and other project stock to a project stock.

Part of the stock of an "empties" material assigned to a full product is managed in the stock type "tied empties".
Empties stock not assigned to a full product forms part of the stock type "unrestricted-use".
Using movement type 441, you can make a transfer posting for an empties material from the stock type "unrestricted-use" to the stock type "tied empties". Movement type 442 reverses this transaction.
Example:
The full product "beer" has a stock of 15 cases. Part of the empties components "bottle" and "case" is tied empties stock.

Automatic PO form goods receipt without reference Movement type 501
Hi,
My client receive sample material from the vendor that is without reference to PO, but upon approval of sample the vendor has to make the payment for which i do not have the reference document number.
To arive at the solution i wanted to generate automatic PO for movement type 501, for which i have checked the movement type settings, 501- automatic PO, i ahve maintained the info record, and during GR for movement type 501 i enter the vendor even than system is not generating any PO in backend, I have centraalised purchase organization assigned to the plant.
can anyone suggest me if i am missing any settings,

You need to configure the following steps for creating automatic PO in MIGO transaction.
1.Activate the auto PO in Material and Vendor Master.
2. Maintain the Info record.
3.Assign the Standard Purchase organisation for the plant you want to create auto Po.
Path: ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE-ASSIGNMENT-MATERIALS MANAGEMENT-ASSIGN STANDARD PURCHASE ORG FOR PLANT.
4. Activate create PO automatically for movement type (101,501).
Path: MM-INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AND PHYSICAL INVENTORY-GOODS RECEIPT-CREATE PURCHASE ORDER AUTOMATICALLY - here you can activate for the mvt type you want.
5.In MIGO screen, goto menu Settings and click default values , you will get a screen where you can check the mvt type 101,501... are maintained in mvt type column. if not you just enter the mvt type which you want. and click adopt tab.
6. Now you do GR using 501 mvt type and give the material and vendor ..
It will work.

i want to know what movement type will be determined in delivery type LO(Without reference of order) . i think in a normal delivery with referance to sales order movement type will be taken from the sales order schedule lines. Incase of delivery without referencing an order whether system will use any movement type? if yes what movement type and from where the movement type will be picked up?When you create a delivery without referring to a preceding document, the system copies the following data into the document from the appropriate master records:
Data from the customer master record of the ship-to party
Data from the material master records of the delivery items
normally schedulelines are determined by item category mrp type and schedule line.
so it is determined by mrp type of the material -

Hi All,
As per SOX compliance we have to remove all movement types from the system which allow Goods Receipt without PO.
Is 561 the only movement type which allows GR without PO or are there any more movement types which I need to remove.
