Movie covers not displaying anymore in iTunes 11

I keep my movie collection on an external drive. After installing iTunes 11, I ran into a situation where I had to shut the external drive down. When I started the drive back up NONE of my movie art shows back up in the iTunes Movies section. The movies play fine but the art is gone.
When I go to Get Info, the art is there. Just not displaying in the movie collection window or on any of my Apple TVs. After individually going into each movie and hitting GET INFO then hitting enter, the artwork shows back up in the collection view.
But I have 100s of these things and am hoping I dont have to repair each movie individually.
Hitting SELECT ALL and GET INFO followed by ENTER, did not repair the whole collection - it only works if you do one at a time.
I have 3 Apple TVS and put a lot of work into my collection, it is a pain when somthing like these happens and brings me back to square one.
I have restarted iTunes and rebooted the computer also. No luck.

Yes, I have the same - I now have to select File > Devices > Transfer Purchases from "iPhone" to acheive this.
I think it's a known "feature"

I bought some movies and TV shows from the iTunes Store. Unfortunately, the cover of the purchased movies and TV shows are not displayed. They are available in the meta tags. Also for subsequent complete the cover they are not displayed. At home movies or older, store purchased movies and the purchased songs there are no problems.
Can someone help me please?

Movie artwork not displaying on mobile devices

Anyone have any idea why the artwork on some movies do not display on my iPhone's or iPad? Shows in iTunes ... not sure what the issue is. Artwork are jpeg files. Need some help, suggestions ...

May be obvious, but have you checked the box in iPod options in iTunes that says "Display Album Artwork"?
I am having a similar problem, but about half of my artwork will show up on my iPod (it seems to be random which artwork will transfer). When it is plugged into iTunes, all of the artwork is there. I have tried deleting and re-adding artwork to songs with no luck. My iPod is set to "Manual Update", and the check box for album art is checked in iTunes. Also, I used to have my iPod on automatic update, but since I have switched to manual at least some of the artwork added since then is viewable on the iPod, so I don't think it is the setting that is the problem. Any suggestions?

I encounter a problem with my ipod nano (2 nd generation) because it not recognized anymore by itunes. When I say not recognized I mean that the ipod does not appear in the devices field of itunes. I do not know exactly when this problem appeared : i do not synchronize often my ipod but before with my macbook pro the synchronisation worked. iTunes sees others devices such as my iphone 5 and iPhone 4 with respectively iOS 7 and iOS 6.0.1. My macbook pro is updated with Maverick 10.9.2 and itunes is the 11.5.5 version. My MacBook pro is from 2009. With previous version of iTunes I know that my ipod could be synchronized.
I did not find any solution on the Apple Support, so I decided to send this post. If someone already encountered this problem and found th solution it would be very helpful ....

I have the same problem on the latest iTunes software and Windows 7. My window is maximzed and I do not see any tab for photos. Seems related to a recent update (IOS7?) as this was there - at least before the very big change to the interface.

Video chapters are not displayed anymore

Since a lot of weeks and many ios updates the video chapters are not displayed anymore. The thumbnails disappered and the chapetr names are gone.
Before ios 5 both did work.
Is there a solution?

Aha, you already have QuickTime. Unfortunately, Firefox didn't find it. Can you try the method described in this thread (deleting a file and having Firefox re-generate it) and see whether it works for you?

Do you have a question ? Not all content is available for re-downloading e.g. if the content provider (or Apple) removes them from the store, and there are also some film studios (in countries where film re-downlaoding is possible) who haven't agreed to allow their films to be re-downloaded.

Metadata not displaying properly in iTunes 11

Anyone have any idea why movies that I've recently ripped and converted into iTunes compatible files aren't properly displaying the metadata that I know is embedded within the file? Both movies shown below were converted using iVI (from South Pole Software).
Here is how a properly tagged movie file should appear upon being selected in Grid View mode in iTunes 11: (notice all the movie details displays properly)
To exemplify my problem, here's a screenshot of 'Superman Returns' when I select it in Grid View: (where did all the movie info go?)
Notice how it doesn't display the Plot Summary, Actors, Producers, DIrectors, etc?
When I hit "Get Info" (Cmd+I) with either file, they both seem to be tagged with all of the same fields, and yet the A-Team is the only one that winds up displaying that information when I view the movie in Grid View mode.
Anyone have any idea why this is happening, and how I can go about fixing the problem?

I had been experiencing this very same problem, and it drove me crazy. Luckily, after searching for the answer on multiple forums, I found a solution. MetaX is a program designed specifically for tagging iTunes movies. Not only can you manually input all the required information, but you can also automatically input all the information from outside sources from within the program. It worked beautifully for me with my copy of Donnie Darko, which I ripped using HandBrake.

Unfortunatly there isn't a "fix" for this issue. User specific art work seems to have disappeared from iTunes U with the release of Version 11. I hope that in future versions of iTunes this feature will be restored.

Podcasts not displayed correctly in iTunes or iPod

Some podcasts I subscribe to (but not all) are displayed in the "Library" section of iTunes as well as the "Podcasts" section. However, on my iPod, it is displayed only in the "Music" folder and not the "Podcasts" folder. How can I get all my podcasts to be correctly displayed both in iTunes and my iPod?

Well considering no one replied. What I had to do was this.
Go under iPod in My Computer (as a device plugged in). Then make sure hidden folders are visible. Then search under the Ipod_Control folders for the titles of all the podcasts that were missing. I then deleted them and now have room back on my Ipod...thank you Itunes.

ITunes store will not display in my iTunes

When I go to the iTunes Store in my iTunes app on my MacBook Pro it will not display anything in the store. The store says it loads, but the display area is just blank (white) after it loads. iTunes will display all my other stuff ok. I have Yosemite and the latest update of iTunes on the Mac. Any ideas??

Radio Stations and CD in drive does not display tracks in iTunes

My iTunes will not display the stations when I open the radio and when I insert a cd there is no text. Itunes recognizes the cd however nothing is displayed. I have had this problem once before and someone had me delete a registry file. Can anyone assist? Thanks!

Is your iTunes able to get the internet connection it needs? Without this, you will not get either the radio stations or the track names for a CD in the drive.
Perhaps soemthing has changed tyour firewall settings and iTunes has been blocked.
