Movie doesn't stop at end of timeline when published.

I am using Premiere Elements 12 on a MacBook Pro.  My movie is 32 minutes long, but it exports as 3 hours and 28 minutes long with a lot of black at the end.  There is nothing past the 32 minutes on my timeline.  The timeline ends where it should and says the duration is 32 minutes.  How do I fix this?

You have fragments (leftovers) beyond the end of the Timeline content that you intended.
I am going from an Elements Windows workspace, so please translate into Mac accordingly.
Expand your Timeline content to the maximum with the Zoom Out Zoom In slider above the Timeline.
Press the End key of the computer keyboard. That should take the Timeline Indicator to the fragments which must be deleted.
Explore all the tracks in that area.
Repeat the End key press until the Timeline Indicator stops at the end of the intended Timeline and not some 3 hours afterward.
What you find at "end of track" could be fragments or files that you moved out of the way of the active project and forgot were there.
The fragments typically present as thin vertical black lines scattered about the tracks.
Please let us know the outcome.
Thank you.

    How do we deal with Error 50 when downloading a movie rental then stopped with error 50 and when I try to resume the downld, it doesn't do it?

    Yeah this "fix" is bunk. The movie is downloading just fine, but the extra features is the one giving me this error code. It is NOT my firewall. If it was, then both files wouldn't download. Plus, I already have the firewall "issue" tacked down and fixed. Have had it fixed for months now. No, this is due to the "new" itunes version 11 software. The only conclusion to fix this issue is UPgrading from 11 back to 10.7 which is what I am going to do. This is completely ridiculous! Come on, Apple, get itunes working once and for all, and fire the people responsible for itunes 11, just like you did to the guy who was responsible for apple maps. Thankfully Google came back to the rescue with google maps app.

  • Scrubber won't stop at end of timeline?

    Hi All:
    Just ran into a quirkly issue and wonder if anyone has a work around? I'm finding the scrubber on my timeline will not stop at the last clip, it keeps moving on past the end until I click it to stop. I used to be able to solve this by adding a photo, creating a blank clip and then deleting the photo but this time it won't work.
    Regards:
    Martin

    The first thing to do is to expand your time line out as wide as possible, and then check the space past the end of your movie to see if there are any stray bits of audio or video left over from editing. If there are any, delete those.
    Then trim back any muted audio that may exist on the time line past your last video clip.
    Finally, control click on the empty space, and select Convert Empty Space to Clip from the dropdown menu. Then delete the clip that you just created.
    The above should cure the problem. If it doesn't, try deleting the file com.apple.iMovie.plist found in User/Library/Preferences, and then restart your computer.

  • Chapter stops before end of chapter when I add audio

    Hi
    Basically the problem is, if I have a timeline with several chapters, each chapter being a different m2v file, then I want to add AC3 files for the audio. I have different AC3 files for each chapter.
    Before adding the audio the preview works fine, but if I add audio to a chapter then iy abruptly ends just after a few seconds
    Can you help me please?
    Thanks a lot

    Maybe it is just a preview problem. You could burn a
    rewritable DVD to test if the final output would be okay.
    I don't remember seeing any posts about this problem, but I vaguely recall having seen a thread about an issue with butting AC3 files together in a timeline. Because of the way AC3 files are encoded they aren't necessarily the exact same length as the video. With just one audio and video clip per timeline that doesn't matter. But by stringing AC3 files together you could end up with a sync problem that gets progressively worse.
    If at all possible I would suggest to use PCM (.wav) files instead and let Encore handle the conversion to Dolby Digital.

  • HT204370 movie I bought stops and then jumps around when I play it

    The movie (only one in particular) is not playing properly. It gets "stuck" on a spot, then jumps around. It does it in a couple of spots. Can I take the movie off my computer and then re-download it without having to pay for the movie twice?

    Delete the songs from your iTunes library and redownload them by clicking "Purchased", under Quick Links at the top right of the iTunes store.
    If this doesn't work contact iTunes support here:

  • IWeb moves pictures by itself, links do not work when publishing to folder

    When I first started using iWeb i would save the page I was working on and then publish it to a folder so I could look at it in Safari and it used to work fine. Now when I do this the pictures come up and they are pushed up halfway off of the top of the page and you aren't able to scroll down all the way to see the bottom of the background picture that I have. Also, the links to the other pages of the site do not work after publishing it to a folder. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it!

  • Inserted movie's auido doesn't stop even if we move forward

    Hi,
    In captivate 2.0, I'm inserting another flash movie with
    audio as an "animation slide". on the slide (not in the inserted
    movie), the display time is "rest of slide". i have a button to go
    to next slide. next slide has its own audio. problem is that, while
    playing, before the inserted movie finishes, if i click the button,
    the movie proceeds to next slide, but the audio of inserted movie
    doesn't stop. i.e. now i'm hearing audio from the incompleted
    inserted movie plus audio of the second slide. How can i completely
    stop the inserted movie from playing audio after i click the
    button. I think the same problem is there if i use the Captivate's
    playback control buttons also.
    plz give a quick help..
    thanks
    Jack

    Hi,
    thanks for the reply. i think the option of keeping audio in
    parent file is not possible in my case because the child file shows
    configuring a particular s/w thru several slides and sync with
    audio is important. and i think in Captivate, there's no option for
    exporting audio from a project as a single mp3 file so that i can
    import it in the parent slide.
    the end option of child project is "to stop project". yes, i
    can set the length of the parent slide to a numerical value. but
    the problems is that, if user click the continue button included in
    the parent slide before the child movie finishes, it goes to the
    next slide, but audio of child movie continues.

  • Unstoppable timeline when activating the multicam view

    Hi there
    my name is Nils Calles and
    I am working on a big musicvideo project,
    where I put up an animated 3D set in After Effects with Element 3D.where I put an keyed greenscreen with my artist in on a 3D image plane. Then I animated 15 cameramoves and rendered them out with the 80MBit Canopus/Grass Valles HQX codec..
    That worked fine so far.
    Then I set up a multicam project with 15 tracks in Premiere Pro CC.
    My workstation is a CadNetwork W30 workstation with a PNY K5000 and a Tesla20s graphicscard.
    The newest drivers are installed and Mercury Playback is activated.
    The performance is quite good until I activate the
    multicam display. I could live with the dropped frames because of the harddrive performance and improved it by using 5MBit H264 proxy files.
    What really causes trouble is that once started with enabled multicam display, it is not possible to stop the timeline until it reaches the end.
    This problem happens with original files and proxies in Premiere CC and in Premiere CC2014.
    I would be very thankful for a quick help because, as always, the deadline is already knocking on the door and I can in no way have my customer sitting next to me, to make some final changes in the edit.
    Greeting from Musikpark Mannheim 2 Germany
    Nils Calles

    Several other customers have reported this problem, but we have not been able to isolate the key to reproducing it in-house.
    Here's the main thread: Fast playback (multicam) won't stop until end of timeline reached
    In post #9 you'll find a list of questions. We're very eager to find a repro case, so we welcome as much information as you can provide.

    Using Flach CS4 and action script 2.0 how do I advance to a specific frame of the main timeline when a movie clip instance come to the end of its timeline?

    code on the last frame of your movieclip instance:
    _root.gotoAndStop('whatever_frame');  // will work unless this swf is loaded into another swf.  in that situation, you should use a relative path to the main timeline (eg,  _parent or _parent._parent etc).

    Cost component structure 01 is not active
    Diagnosis
    You are costing with cost component structure 01. This cost component structure is not active.
    System response
    The costing results can be saved for analysis together with the log. The cost estimate receives the status costed with errors and cannotbe released.
    Procedure
    If you want to release the cost estimate, you must use an active cost component structure, or activate cost component structure 01.
    How should i activate cost component structure 01?

  • Sound suddenly stops on movie 30 seconds before it ends

    I recently upgraded to iDVD 6. I had iDVD 4 and I burned a project and everything went fine. I then re-did the same project in iDVD 6 but this time, just when my movie is just about to end, the sound drops. It drops at 16 mins on each project since I have 4 small movies on the same project.
    I tried taking off the music from the menu but nothing. Anybody knows what could be wrong?

    Okay, the problem is fixed!
    I did two things and I'm not sure which one worked. After trying the entire day, I went in my iDVD preferences and changed it from Best Quality to Best Performance.
    Also, I went to check for updates and iDVD as well as all the iLife applications had updates. The info on the update said it was for importing problems and other minor issues. I suspect a lot of people probably haven't updated their programs.
    Its working now. I tried it on a small project and it worked. I'm going to do the bigger project and let you all know if it worked on that too.

  • Player.stop() doesn't stop the player

    Hello,
    I'm new in jmf. I found an example of SimplePlayerApplet on internet and it works and replay the video when it's finished.
    code :
    if (event instanceof EndOfMediaEvent) {
         // We've reached the end of the media; rewind and
         // start over
         player.setMediaTime(new Time(0));
         player.start();
    I wanted to change the code to stop the player when it reaches the end of video but it doesn't work.
    if (event instanceof EndOfMediaEvent) {
    if (player != null)
    {    //stop the movie
    player.stop();
    player.deallocate();
    I even tried to use setStopTime but there is no difference. The player doesn't stop.
    Can somebody help me please.
    Thanks in advance

    I faound the problem.
    My application was reading the sample applet of jmf and not my applet.
