Movie dowload doesn't work

Impossible to download a movie (rental); it stop downloading and I've been trying for 45 minutes
can anyone help ?

It sounds like your movie rental download stopped, and you were not able to continue downloading it. I found an article with steps to take when this happens.
I recommend following the steps under the section titled "If your download was interrupted on your computer" and then continuing with the steps under "Additional Information" if necessary in the following article:

When selecting a menu item I used to click the left mouse button and hold it down, move the pointer to the desired menu item and release the mouse button. Everything works fine in the mine menu, but there's a problem when adding new adjustment layer from the layer panel: when I release the button nothing happens, I have to press the button again. In previous PS version it worked fine. How can I fix this?

I don't think that is user fixable, meaning you'll have to wait till adobe fixes it with an update.

Did it run OK under a new User-Account ?
If so - then the need to clean out iMovie to re-install will not help at all but just be complicated.
If it did run OK - Then
• Delete iMovie pref. file
iMovie pref. file resides.
Mac Hard Disk (start-up HD)/Users/"Your account"/Library/Preferences
not the Library at root level = first window when opening Your Macintosh HD (Mac OS) Start-Up HD
and is named. (one or more of these)
com.apple.iMovie.plist

and find

While iMovie is NOT RUNNING - move this/these file/s out on to desk-top.
Now restart iMovie.
If You run Mac OS X.7 or more - then the Library in the User-account folder is invisibly and need to be set to be viewable. IT IS NOT in the Library on Root level (when opening MacintoshHD - first window = root level)
( It can be done like this: Open Terminal, then enter: chflags nohidden ~/Library
Press return, then restart, and it will always be visible until the next major update, when you do the same thing again. )
To find all parts of iMovie to trash to make a Clean Install - is not easy and there will be others that can guide You trough this process. - I never needed to do that - and I used iMovie since iMovie (1) > 10 Years

Movie Project doesn't work

I've just installed the Apple box set bringing me up to date with iLife11 and the latest OS and I really wish I hadn't spent the money.
Apart from the fact my Tascam interface doesn't work now and I can't use Logic, GB is taking forever to load and everything appears to run much slower.
But enough of that..
I've tried to open a movie project but after it opens I just get the spinning beach ball before I get a chance to do anything. I've had to force quit GB each time as I can't get past the SBB.
Anyone else had similar issues?

What type of subtitle script have you used?
Are you sure you used the same framerate and drop frame?

QT movie controler doesn't work ...

After draging and placed a QT movie (h.264) and published my site, the movie controler doen't work ... I keep clicking on it and nothing happens .... The movie only starts if click twice over the movie and stops if I click once ....

QTKirk ..... You are the Man ! You will not believe but I had just found the solution when my mac emmited a sound "saying" that I had a new message and it was yours ! After 1 and 1/2 day trying to solve that damm issue, I though that it could be the problem. I turned on the layout view, increased the page height ... placed the movie a little bit above the footer line and VOILÁ !!! All movies played smoothly well .... lol .
Despite I had already found the solution, I said that "you are the man" because not even the Apple Guys at their "Chat Dept." could help me .... I'm an Editor, not a Web Designer and because of that I was already thinking that iWeb does not deal very well with videos edited in Final Cut Pro and encoded/compressed via Compressor..... Thanks for have spent your time answering me and keep giving good advices as you did, as someone who knows what is talking.

"move" command doesn't work in case of files on network

I setup a theWatchFolder fold on network as Watch Folder. This works like when the folder on network gets a file, I'm notified via email and the file should move from watch folder (which is on network) to theDestinationFolder (which is also on another network). I used "move" command for that but it copies the files from the theWatchFolder to theDestinationFolder but doesn't move. And there, script shows error "An item with the same name already exists in this location."

I opted the Option 1 from your script. When a file arrives in Watch Folder, the script still copies to the destination folder (instead of move) and sends email successfully, and this task repeats continuously. The script is as follows:

Mail + Exchange 2007 + Move message doesn't work

I have my Apple mail program setup to use my work Exchange account and for the most part it works great. However, when I try to move mail from my Inbox to a subfolder, it fails. I've tried dragging the mail to the folder and I've tried going through the right click menu. I've also tried different folders and different pieces of mail with the same result. I can move messages with my iPhone and with my work PCs Outlook client. Lastly, I've checked the main network ports on the Exchange server to verify that my communications with the server are not being blocked. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Movie Creator doesn't work after install

I know many people are having this issue. Installed Movie Creator from the Update Center app but when you open it the program just sits there on the main intro screen and you can't do anything with it. Have uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache nothing will work. This issue is present on my Z2 and Z Ultra, both running latest completely stock firmware from Sony. Has anyone found a way to fix this?

I can see that you're missing some dots in the lower part of the app (indicating next steps).
have you tried to swipe to the right and check if you can move on to the next step even if its not indicated in the app?
Do you have several photos taken during the same period of time? If not do a test by taking several pictures and check if the movie application can find them and suggest a movie compilation for you.

Import movies itunes doesn't work

How come i can't import my homemovies to iTunes. I have trien import from the menybar and drag them into iTunes, but nothing happens and no message.

What format are the movies? Are they a format that iTunes can accept?

Exporting Movie Suddenly Doesn't Work

I've been working on a short video project. I exported several takes as .m4v and .3gp (based on size options) yesterday. The video project has both video, photo, music and text.
1. Today, on export, the export (same formats .m4v and .3gp) has only the audio and no video.
2. I closed iMovie and on re-start, iMovie said I was missing support for Quartz Extreme
3. I checked System Profiler, and indeed, under Graphic/Display it said Quartz Extreme was unsupported.
4. I ran software update, including an update for iWork 09'
5. Restart computer, iMovie now opens
6. Try to export the video to .m4v --> Same fail - no video
7. Try to export using QuickTime --> Success
What's the deal?

Touchpad doesn't work - HP Pavilion DV4 - 2120ca

Touchpad doesn't work after cleaning out the dust collection in the fan, heat sink area. New Therma paste was applied.
Both the keyboard & touchpad were the 2 things that didn't work following reassembly. The keyboard didn't work but able to use USB wireless mouse. Couple days ago the replacement battery finally arrived, installed and charged for 12 hours. After restart, the keyboard works as it should.
Unfortunately, touchpad still doesn't work. The light switch above the touchpad works, clicking on it turns white & amber but any movement scrolling doesn't work.
We tried the following, but unsuccessful
double tapping top left corner
Hard Reset
Uninstalled ALPS & Synaptics -- reinstalled , restarted
Updated Windows, HP, BIOS, Drivers
Don't recall during reassembly if touchpad has a cable or connector. If so, perhaps worth try to disconnect & reconnect to ensure correct connection.
What do u advise to try next?

Did you connect the ribbon cable for the Touchpad. Often times there is one for the keyboard and one for the touchpad separately. Hopefully you have not damaged the ribbon cable. Just make sure you push it all the way in and seat it properly.

Quicktime screen recording doesn't work anymore!

I'm running 10.8.4 on my MacBook Pro.
Quicktime screen, audio, and movie recording doesn't work anymore.
I repaired my Permissions, and it didn't fix the bug.
What is wrong?

I am having this problem too. I've never used QuickTime 10.2 (build 603) to do this, but when I try today, it doesn't work.
I launch QT, then choose "Record Screen" from the FILE menu. The black "record" window appears, but it is not clickable, nor does it do anything.
I can quit QT via the cmd-tab shortcut, but otherwise it is not selectable. odd.
To the devs: can this bug be fixed and a new QT installer generated... I am guessing that many of us would prefer not having to wait for an entire OS upgrade to have this fixed -- thanks!
(note: I have no special soundcard or any other mods to this MacBook Pro 13" running OSX10.8.5)

When I move a harddrive with Bootcamp from my mac pro to my macbook, windows doesn't work

I have a 13" Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook and the topcase-keyboard doesn't work and so for some reason, it makes it impossible for me to install windows on the bootcamp partition. While the windows installer is running, it doesn't recognize usb keyboards. So I decided to install windows 7 professional on that same drive using my Mac Pro. The installation worked perfectly.
Then I take that harddrive and I move it back to my MacBook and windows won't start up correctly, stating that something has changed (of course!...duh).
Can anyone help me with a workaround for this?

I've posted this question to the Snow Leopard community because that's the OS I'm using.

With the Lion it is essentially unnecessary to resort to external driver disks. What's more, most of those disks are incompatible with the OS and should not be used. The system already carries a wide variety of printer description files (aka PPDs, which is what modern printing systems use as "drivers") for a lot of brands. And there was an HP printer update just two days ago.
Just checked in mine and did indeed find that the HP OfficeJet 6200 Series, with or without Fax, is covered with the latest update.
So just go thru the motions of creating a proper printer instance:
Make sure the Mac "sees" the printer on the network.
System Preferences / Print & Scan
Click on the + button on the left column
Select the appropriate type of printer, will use IP for the rest of this
Select HP Jetdirect - Socket, default for HP network printers
Type the IP address or look it up
Name the printer for easy identification on the print dialog
Let the Mac identify the printer model or manually choose the driver
Click Add.
Once the instance pops up in the list, can click on Options & Supplies for further config.

HT4527 I want to move all my iTunes from old PC to new PC but Home Sharing on both and it works. At Step 11, I clicked Home Sharing Import button doesn't work.

Help! I want to move all my iTunes music, podcasts, etc. from an old PC to a new PC. I set up Home Sharing on both and it works. I followed the steps in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527 to the letter. At Step 11, I clicked on Home Sharing on my new PC, then Edit > Select All so I could then import everything to the new computer. No matter what I try, the Import button doesn't work. There are two buttons on the lower right hand side of the iTunes screen - one for Settings and one for Import. The Settings button is clickable but the Import button isn't even live. In other words, I can see it but not click on it. I have double-checked my firewall and it is not the problem. How can I get the Import button to work?

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have failed to move contacts and calendar items across you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

Then also when I added a non-iTunes movie and tried to have iTunes make an iPod/IPhone version it gave me error -4. What's happening to my movies?

I also have to add that the right earbud only doesn't work on my phone while i'm listening to music. If I'm face timing it's okay. what the heck.
