Movie for any player ?

This is a general question.
Who could explain to me why the same DVD is not going to give good quality reproduction on any player ?
I have recently made a long, and very nice, movie with FCP, compressed with QT (or compressor).....burn DVDs out of it with DVDstudio Pro and played the DVDs on various players.... Some players gave excellent results, some of them did not. The older player being the best !
I got worried about who is going to see what ....since I have no control on what kind of player the recipients got.
I have been told, and I think that I understand, that bit rate is the key. Also, in previous threads on this subject, I learn that compression is a big business.
OK, but is there a way to avoid this type of problem ?
Are there settings that would ensure reading on most players or minimize the risks ?
No need to say that when we burn DVDs, we use only high grade brands of DVDs.

And that's only the player. You also have no idea what type of display they're viewing. It could be a 60" plasma, projection, 12" laptop running Windows 98 or a portable DVD player with 5" LCD screen. Enjoy - stress not. You have no control.

IPhone 4 movie can´t be opened it in the pc with any player

Hi.
I made a movie with my iphone 4 and moved it to my pc.
Now I can´t open it in the pc with any player (iTunes, Quicktime, Media Player, VLC).
Quicktime gives me the error 2048 and says that don't recognize the .mov file.
What I need to do to open the file?

Here are the steps for AirPlay:
Before starting Azul from your (running iOS 5.x/6.x) home screen where have have all your apps we need to turn on mirroring
On your iPhone 4S/5 or iPad 2 or 3, double-click the Home Button to view your recently-used apps.
Swipe all the way to the right to until you see the icon.
Note: If the icon does not appear, go to the "If AirPlay Mirroring is not visible or available on your mobile iOS device" section.
Tap the icon to see the list of available AirPlay devices.
Enable AirPlay Mirroring in this menu by tapping on an available Apple TV, then sliding the Mirroring slider to ON.
Now you should be seeing your iPad/iPhone on your TV.
Start up Azul now and using the settings icon on the top right corner go to the option that say "TV out" ON.
When you do that you will see an Orange screen
Now click "Done" and play the video you want to watch and it will AirPlay

My iPhone 4 with iOS 6 is making me start to hate Apple. Any App and at any time I open and I can not view it or move for more than 2 minutes, they close themselves. During connections, it also gives this problem and the signal disappears after a few seconds back but often the person on the other end has hung up ... I can not stand it anymore, someone suggests something?
Besides these problems, there is the battery, which was bad got worse, she is not lasting more than 10 hours, even without using the phone.
Sometimes it even seems that the problem was solved, but my joy did not last long after I celebrate all the problems return, is incredible ...

Move Networks media player for ABC shows on Safari

Hello, I have been trying to install the plug in needed to watch ABC's shows but have been unsuccessful thus far. I have tried from the ABC site after it prompts to do so and also from the Move Networks site. Sometimes I can get the installer downloaded and when I run it appears to install but I am still unable to view the full length episodes. When I click on the full length episode it shows that it is installing but then will just stay there continuing to try to install. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and also tried Kwik Time Kirks fix (new user install) and always get the same result. I'm thinking there is a setting somewhere that I need to change but don't have the know how... If anyone has had a similar issue or knows a fix I would be very grateful. Thank you for any reply.
I am running OS X 10.6.1 on a Mac Pro 13 using Safari.

Same issues on a G5 running 10.5.7, a MB running same, and a MBPro running 10.6. Both Safari and FF3 give me the same issue... it gets stuck on the "We've detected you have a Mac. Hold on while we download and it will start automatically" ... but it never does.
I've checked the Plugin folder to see if the move.plugin ever gets installed, but it does not. I've complained to ABC to no end.

I haven't seen so far any Security or Change Log for Shockwave Player 12.1.3.153. Given the Update ID SW12-13153 this seems to be an ordinary update (not a security hotfix with the prefix APSB...). Has anyone seen a change log?

Others are Silverlight (free) and Flip4Mac (payware) for protected Windows media files.
You can also install the free VLC player, it plays a lot too.
DivX, I don't know about, VLC likely can play that.
There is also RealPlayer, but I think that's dropped off the face of the planet
