Movie Inside a Circle
Is there a way to have a movie play inside a circle?
Thanks,
Joe
Sure. Simply use a Mask, the Circle effect set to Stencil Alpha, a matte layer, whatever...

Well i have over 1,000 songs on iTunes and I have an iPod Nano I would like to restore it with all those songs, only 30 of the songs restored. After that an exclamation mark insid a circle pops up right beside it, I click on it and it says "Could not be used because the original file cannot be found. Would you like to locate it?" I click 'Locate' and I find the song but then it just brings me back to the rest of the songs. I cannot play or restore the songs with the exclamation thing. I have tried several times, it still doesn't seem to work.
I think you're confusing restore with sync?
! means that your library can not find the original music file at its last stored location. It is possible this was removed, or deleted. Is the ! happening on your iTunes library on your desktop? If so, did you move anything wrong? Can you manually try to find that song located on your desktop? -
Flash movie inside flash movie
Hello, i am nesting a flash movie inside a main movie. it
loads fine, but clicking actions dont work. for example i cannot
click on a button in that movie. anyone knows what may be
wrong?Impossible to say without knowing your code - but sounds like
a path problem - if the code in the
loaded movie refers to _root then that may be a reason -
because the root has now changed - but
again, without seeing the code, impossible for anyone to be
specific.
hope this helps.

Can't move files - white circle with white line through it?
OsX 10:4:10
Suddenly I cannot move files from one drive to another, or from drive to desktop. Recently updated everything.
White circle with white line through it appears.
Network awaiting news footage. I'm stuck. What might this be?
Any help would be most appreciated,
BenHi megagram & dreed2,
Thanks for staying with me on this.
USB drive and errant file both have 'read and write' clicked. There is no 'ownership' choice in the info pop-up.
Nor is there 'Ignore ownership on this volume' choice for the USB drive.
I'm using an administrator account. I created a 'root' account, but it didn't seem to have any effect - didn't fix the problem. (I don't like messing around with 'root' account stuff.)
I'm not running as a 'client in a Mac OSX Server environment'. Just as an 'admin' with the one tower and a rotating bunch of external drives (projects).
I did a work-around for now ... shipped the 'unmoveable' file out to an ftp site (it would allow me to do this), and I haven't heard if the downloaded file is causing any problems on the other end (yet).
If I come across a solution I'll post. It may have something weird to do with that funky drive (now returned to its owner), and me creating this particular file that same day as the funky drive was giving me problems. (Though the file was not ON the drive.)
And the (almost new) computer did go down for a day last week ... would not reboot ... took it to the shop, nothing wrong with it, brought it home, it's been working fine ever since. Go figure.
Thank you kindly for all your suggestions...

Movie inside of a loaded external movie
Hi
how to control a mc inside a loaded external movie?
so I have a main.swf, loaded a ex.swf into it by using loadMovie, and inside ex.swf there is a mc called 'mc'
how do I control 'mc' from main.swf? I tried something like newLoader.mc._x +=1; ( newLoader is ex.swf), it doesn't work?
Thanks for reply.Hi Ned
after I read your reply, i went on make a new sample file just to try it out, and it work, then I went back to my file and found out on these code
var currentObject = new Object;
currentObject = newLoader.newLoader2.newLoader3;
var currentObjectColor = new Object;
currentObjectColor = currentObject;
and then I have
var my_color:Color = new Color(currentObjectColor.mc);
trace (allowColor);
my_color.setRGB(this.colorCC);
for some reason, after I replace currentObjectColor to just currentObject, it work just fine, I don't know if the problem is from putting one object equal another one, but as far as I need this would work for me.
thanks a lot. -
Is there any way to view a quicktime movie from inside a swf
file without converting it... not a flv???

You don't have a choice, the only video file flash can load
is FLV.
The only way is the covert the MOV to FLV and dynamically
load on demand.

Whenever ,i try to connect to a website using Firefox, the Green circle at the left corner of the screen, moves anti clockwise before moving clockwise,which is normal.Thus it takes longer to load a page.Please advive
That is the way that loading indicator is designed to work, it's not slowing anything down. Anti-clockwise indicates it's looking for the web page, and clockwise indicates the connection was mad and downloading the page contents has started.

Cannot move inside the Fonts window using arrow keys?
I'm pretty sure there was a way to move around in the Fonts menu using the arrow keys. The selected Collection, Family or Typeface would turn from grey (not able to navigate) to the blue (able to navigate).
Does this ring a bell to anyone else?So I did search before posting this question but couldn't find anything. Of course right after I post I found the answer.
But this doesn't always work in all programs.
You have to shift the focus to the font window by clicking on it, not just by clicking on a Collection, Family or Typeface line item. Then the selected column will be highlighted blue, the Maximize, Minimize and Close buttons will be in color and the selected item will also be highlighted in blue.
But this doesn't always work in all programs.
Any ideas? -
I have a custom JPanel (CompassCalculatorPanel) that is created, setup and placed within a custom JFrame (CompassCalcFrame). Calling the JFrame constructor sets this all up and makes the Frame show up. All is good with placement and drawing initially. Then when a user changes the spinner value (change the compass heading) it is supposed to redraw the arrow within the panel. It does this just fine, but on the repaint, and subsequent paints, the Panel ends up being placed in the upper left corner of the frame, rather than at the place I positioned it. I've tried saving the upper left corner placement coordinates and calling setBounds(...) before and after the paintComponent(...) method is called. This has no effect, the panel still resides at 0, 0.
boldAny help that keeps the panel in place would be appreciated!*bold*

}In response to the first couple of comments made about using Absolute positioning (layout null), I took a look at the page on doing layouts, which happens to be the link you sent. I read about each, and decided that a GridBag layout would be best. So I created a new class called CompassCalcGridBagFrame and set it all up using the same components, but with a Grid Bag layout. I encounter the exact same problem.
Just FYI: I originally created this frame using the NetBeans (6.9.1) Frame form builder. By default that uses the Free Design setting, which creates group layouts for both vertical and horizontal spacing. This is where the problem first came to be. I next used the builder to create an absolute positioning frame, which had the same issue. That is when I started building my frames using code only - no NetBeans GUIs. This is where the absolute layout from scratch code started. Same effect. And now, I've created a Grid Bag layout from code, and same effect. There has to be something I'm missing overall, as this effects all of my different layout designs.
The one thing from gimbal2's previous comment is, should I be using this custom panel within another panel? I am currently adding all of the components (and in Grid Bag, the GridBag layout) to the frame pane itself. Is that OK, or should I use a generic JPanel, and have the components all within that?
Here is the code for the newest frame class (CompassCalcGridBagFrame):

Move in a circle-which way?
If I use "make motion path from shape" with a circle shape, how do I choose whether the moving object goes clockwise or counterclock wise around the circle?
You could possibly try a restore from itunes or from the ipod itself, otherwise go get it looked at/replaced, that sounds like a software issue.

New Skype Emoticons for Disney Movie Inside Out
I saw this news post: http://blogs.skype.com/2015/06/18/disneys-inside-out-emoticons-launch-on-skype-today-express-your-feelings-with-our-new-emoticons/ Checked for updates but can't seem to see the emoji on my Windows Phone or Windows Desktop with version 7.5.80.102. What are the keyboard shortcodes for these emoji? They're not listed here: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA12330/what-is-the-full-list-of-emoticons?q=emoticons&intcmp=blogs-_-generic-click-_-disneys-inside-out-emoticons-launch-on-skype-today-express-your-feelings-with-our-new-emoticons

Can I limit where a child window can move inside the parent window?
I was wondering if it is possible to define a region of the parent vi window that a child window must be contained within so that the child window cannot be drug over my vi buttons and controls on the side.
ThanksFor child window, take a look G Toolbox at:
http://gtoolbox.yeah.net
To limit window position, you've to catch the window move event, and
check the window position, move it back if needed.

Playing exported movie inside flash crashes app
We have 3 identical machines running the CS3 Web Premium
suite, on only one of them hen the programmer exports to a movie
and play it in a browser it's fine, but when he tries to play it
within the IDE itself flash completely crashes 30-50% of the time.
The complexity doesn't seem to matter, and other people can export
and preview in the app the same movie and they are fine, it's just
his machine.
We have tried reinstalling, but he gets the same thing. Could
this be a memory issue? His machine is an Intel G5 quad core
running Tiger/Windows XP with 5GB of Ram. This only happens on the
windows side, but he hates running on the Mac side.Actually this is running on windows boot camp, so it's on
it's own partition on the main hard drive running windowsXP. I've
seen other people complaining about this problem, but I've never
seen a solution posted. Some have suggested that it maybe saving on
remote drives messes it up, but there is only one partition for him
to work on.
Is there a prefs file I can delete that will then be
recreated like on macs?
