Movie is not downloading! HELP!!

i purchased a movie 3 days ago on iTunes and the download has made absolutely no progress. I have an extremely fast internet connection (it usually only takes about 30 seconds to download a song...) Please help!!

OK, I just looked at my downloads. I have 3 of them and 1 of them had an error message. When I stop the other 2 from downloading, the problem one appears to be downloading with the little thingie spinning away -- but there is no "time remaining" showing and there is no progress being made in the download.
I have tried Checking For Purchases again -- but it still doesn't work.
I would try exiting iTunes and restarting it but, when I try this I can't get iTunes to start back up again. So, my only option is to reboot the computer. When I shut down the computer one program won't close without making me shut it down manually -- and that shows as a program with Chinese letters so I don't know what it is.
After a reboot, iTunes is again willing to start up AND the problem download does start making progress again.
So, have you tried to reboot???

Me too a couple of days ago - same thing. Standard resolution movies and 12 gb free on my iPad. They never startet downloading. Apple support creditet the two movies and removed them remotely stating they would look into it.
Anyone else?

Hi,
For all people struggling with connecting their iPad to their router, constantly getting 'Incorrect Password' even though you have entered the correct one - this may be your solution as it just resolved my issue.
In your router settings online (usually found at 198.168.1.1) change your security from WPA2 or WEP to WPA. For my iPad it for some reason only accepts WPA but now it is running without problems. Let me know if this helps.

I downloaded some movies and the I-Tunes extra for the movies will not download

I downloaded three movies on ITUNES and the ITUNES Extra for them specific movies will not download. I have the latst update version of ITUNES installed. I've hit the download button and it states "ITUNES extra has errors please try again".
Can anybody assist!

Ok, so after like 4 days of going through all these different issues, I figured out that several programs weren't downloading, and it was an issue with my wireless connectivity messing up the digital signatures, so if you plug in your comp to the modem and delete your temp files, it should start to work!

Dear apple. You've done it again. You ruined our movie night. Rented movie, got all ready to start watching. Now the movie does not download. Wrong on your Sid as Internet works (100Mbps) and other content/trailers download swiftly.
I am extremely ****** of that this happened again. I have lost the past hour trying various things and now finding a way to get my money back.

The fact that I logged into an apple.com site fooled me to believe that this was a 'report a problem' site.
I since found the 'report a problem' link.
Wasn't easy to find (could not find it on my apple TV or iPad) had to:
log into iTunes via laptop, and then
click on iTunes Store (right top);
click on account (quick link or at bottom);
select "see all' next to purchase history;
click on small arrow next to 'problem' purchase (movie rental for me);
click on 'report a problem' (at bottom);
click on 'report a problem again (now inside the purchase details) - redirect to browse
fill in details, and
submit.
As you can see quite a long process.
The long process and my missed movie night were the frustrating parts.
The reponse from Apple Customer Support was swift and extremely good - makes up for the frustration.

Emailed photos not downloading - help!

Where do my emailed photos download to in the ipad2? I can't find them and/or they're not downloading correctly? HELP!

While the backup stores some if not all the photos in the camera roll (many users have lost photos when doing a restore from iCloud), the issue is that the user must somehow sync photos to their computers (e.g. via USB to iPhoto or Aperture on a mac or a specified folder on a PC) in order to back them up. Once on a computer, you can then move them to albums/folders as you like. But you must back them up to a computer to be sure they are safe. If you haven't done that, then chances are good that they are lost.

Movie purchases not downloading

Hi i have been on my computer for a couple of hours now just trying to figure out what the problem is.. i have a prepaid itunes card and i purchased a tv show and a movie off of itunes. the problem is is that its not downloading because something keeps popping up that says there was an error in downloading this file. the disk you are attempting to use is full deleting files and emptying the recycle bin would free up space. im confused as to what disk its even talking about!!! someone please help me this is very frustrating!!

It's talking about your hard drive. You have too many files on it and there isn't enough room to store the movie you're attempting to download. You're going to need to do some "spring cleaning" and delete a bunch of stuff before continuing.
To give you any indication of what you need to delete, a 2-hour movie is about 1.5 GB.

rented a movie from itunes and it will not download to Mac. Keep getting an error message when I try to open it to watch on the MAc. Any help??

How large is the film ? It's size should be on its decription page in the store. The current 'top film' here in the UK is 5.12 gig in HD format.

Purchased HD movie will not download to hard drive

I have a windows vista laptop and windows xp desktop, both have latest iTunes, have have my library on an external mybooklive hard disk, I consolidated the library to the external drive with the vista machine, and pointed the XP machine to the library, when purchasing music i can download from the Cloud to the drive, I have purchased a HD 1080 movie using Apple TV, the movie plays on the Apple TV but this is streaming from the cloud I have tried to download the movie using the XP & Vista machines from the cloud to my hard drive, but it will not download, I get a dialogue box that says,( "This cannot be played in HD on this computer" "if you buy the HD version, you will have to transfer an HD-compatible device in order to watch it. Or, you can buy the SD version and watch it on this computer" ),
I do not want to buy the SD version, I have already bought th HD version, I would like to store it on the external drive and stream to the Apple TV or my Ipad4, in the dialogue it says I can transfer to another device, only it will not download,
can anybody please help with this? as I beleive I should be able to store it on the drive ready to play to those devices,

Just rented a movie at iTunes, But it will not download.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

On my Apple Tv, the movies are not downloading, what next?

I have used Apple TV for over a month, choose a movie and it downloads, today it is not doing, despite having tried so many things, even checking the credit card setting. Feel very frustrated.... Any advice on how to have the movies downloading again?

Best to check the network, below are some common area to look into
Current connection, use speedtest.net
DNS, should be on automatic (settinga - general - network)
If on wifi try ethernet
Go to istumbler (Mac) or netstumbler (PC) to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise.

Rental movie is not downloading

I am recently new to this. I bought a new macbook, so I know the problem is not my laptop. I have itunes installed into my computer, and I recently signed up for Itunes. My first attempt to rent the move did not work. I checked on the side bar that says downloads: there is nothing. So I did what the support center told me to do. go to store and click automatic downloads.... nothing happened. So i went back to repurchase the movie and it says that I already purchased it. HOwever nothing is downloading... no name or title.. nothing. If i already paid for it, why is it not automatically downloading or exist in the downloading section? HELP

Sorry to see the trouble you've had with the multi-media messages. Let's see if we can get those downloading! What model phone are you having the trouble with? What zipcode are you having the problem in? Are you using the embedded text messaging app, the Verizon Messages app or a third party app? Do you get an error message?
