Movie logo workflow ...

I have a "movie logo" or production logo that I am using in my home bicycle movies. Not sure that is the right term, but you know how when you watch a movie there are often some animated logos up front. This one came from an After Effects template, some audio clips, a still shot, etc. in case that matters.
What is the proper workflow for using the logo? I have a separate PP logo project with a sequence that lays everything out. What I have been doing is exporting the logo into a video clip and then importing the resultant clip into my bicycle movie projects as an asset, placing in a sequence, etc. Assuming that is correct, would you encode the logo in various formats that match the ultimate exports (e.g. H.264 720p, etc.) or encode to a master file format like DNxHD?

There's no one 'proper' way to do this.
I do the same as you, export out a Master AVI file for use in further projects.
Or you can import that PP sequence into further projects.
You can also build it in After Effects and use Dynamic Link to bring it into each project.

Torn Movie Logo after "Run Active X"

Example : Utube movies still run in their box but the Quicktime torn movie logo comes up after clicking Active X box.
Im using Windows XP Pro and downloaded Quicktime a month ago along with the new update of Internet Explorer when the problems occured.

Modify the Move User workflow to change AD location

All,
I what to move a user within an IDM organization and have it move the user within AD to different Organization UNIT.
I think that I can modify the Move User workflow and add an additional action to the Process Org Moves Activity. I want to clarify is this is what everyone else has been doing for department transfers.

You will need to specify RenameUserViewer as the type when checking out the view.

Ripped movie logo/ looks like a piece of film

I am not able to view anything that uses quicktime. I click on the link that has media that requires quicktime and all I get is the blue Q and then a ripped piece of film or movie logo with the blue Q on it. I have checked firewall settings under control panel, and the quicktime setting under control panel. I can't find anything about this on the board, and I have no idea what to do to fix this. I have deleted and reinstalled quicktime. What do I need to do next?

How can I get back my movie logo?

I have downloaded a film from iTunes from my iPad. When downloaded, at first I could see this downloaded film including the movie cover on the app called 'Video's'.
After I streamed this film on my tv via the Apple TV, the movie cover logo disappeared and in place of the original movie cover there is just a drawing of a TV.
How can I get back the original movie cover logo on my iPad ? Does anyone know this?

I already did the backup and the apps are now in a folder on my pc and appears when I connect my iPhone to the pc on iTunes). I'm happy it can happen... when the new iPhone will arrive I will try soon! Thank you!!!!!

Item does not move from Workflow Inbox to Work Item Executed by me

Hi experts,
We have implemented workflow inbox for invoice payment. After archive document in OAWD, we will do posting through Workflow inbox. After posting, the item should go to 'work item executed by me' folder. But the problem is the work item is still in the workflow inbox. What should we do? Pls help. This is urgent. Correct answer will be rewarded, TQVM in advanced.

Hi Arianie,
First check the status of your WORK ITEM ID. You can check it in SBWP or in SWI6 transaction.
If your work Item ID still remains in the SAP Inbox & does not move into outbox i.e. "work Item Executed by me" then it may happened that your workflow is not triggered after users/responsible agents action completion. You can check the graphical status in SWI6 transaction itself.
Also check whether your Work Item ID's status is not "ERROR" . If it is "ERROR" then you need to resume the work item ID (Whose status is Error) to start/recall the workflow.

Please. Need some advice from those in the know. QT movies. Workflow

I have been fighting this workflow for some time. Must be a better one. I produce a football highlite show using iWeb to stream it. It is very popular in my small town but a real hassle to webcast. I shoot and edit in the XDCAM HD format. Editing goes well until exporting begins. There are so many options. I am lost. Do I export right from FCP? do I use QT Pro to export? Compressor. Here is the workflow I have been using: Export ref movie out of FCP ( this is not working well with Snow Leopard) crashes and locks up.
Then I used to use QT Pro to export 480 x 320 movie. Then...I exported again as a hinted movie. Then upload in iWeb. File sizes per quarter were just a bit under 100 megs. You're spending a lot of money. I will add my 2¢ -- -- but you must, as I assume you know, fully research your options.
Environment:
Start with your workspace (inc. lighting) and your clothes.
Screen:
The iMac screens are lovely, but not, from what I hear, monitor-grade accurate. For critical color work, use NEC or Eizo monitors. I use NEC, with their SpectraView II software and an X-Rite ColorMunki photospectrometer. At the time, this was the least expensive color-calibrated workflow.
Printer:
Epson's are great, imho. I use a 3880 in my studio and rent a 9900 by the hour when needed. I have read of problems (iirc) with one of the printers in the 7000 line, however. The take-home lesson that I filed in my brain was, "If you're going to spend the money on the 7000 line, just get the 9000 line."
Aperture workflow:
Aperture is a fantastic workflow tool. Since you are adept with PS, you should set PS as your external editor. Use Apertures formidable tools for storing and organizing your Images, and its robust editing tools for either all your proofing, or all but your most demanding editing needs. That said, allow a good bit of time to get the feel of Aperture. It is not at all like Bridge. But your important choice is which RAW converter you want to use. There is, imho, no reason to use Aperture if you are going to use Adobe's (or anyone else's) RAW converter.

HD Movie Purchase Workflow

Alright Apple, I love your products and have totally bought into the digital life here, but I still can't seem to do what it seems you think I should do.
When I want to purchase a movie or TV show, I would like to have it available for me to watch on my AppleTV, my computer, my iPad, and my iPhone. I can do this right?
Is there any difference where I purchase the movie from? I can purchase for any these devices and still get it to my main computer and out to any other devices, right?
Sad example:
This may be the Studios fault, but I wanted to buy Inception. I didn't want to go to the store to buy the Blu-ray. I wanted to stay all digital. Went to iTunes store on computer. Inception only available in SD. What?!? Said HD versions available on AppleTV or Ipad. Went to AppleTV. HD version available only for rent. No purchase option. So... had to drive to Best Buy to buy the blu-ray version, which THANKFULLY comes with a digital copy. If it didn't I would have no way of getting an HD version of this big studio film onto ANY of my apple devices. What gives?

You can easily make perfect copies of Blu Ray and DVD discs. In fact, that's the easiest way for pirates to get the content and then distribute it. So piracy is not the reason.
The real reason is that they don't want to give up their control of distribution. The large movie studios have perfected manufacturing discs for pennies and distributing them to traditional retail stores in huge numbers for $20. That's not easily done by people who want to make movies so they have to depend on the large movie studios to distribute their content just like the music artists depended on the studios to distribute their music with CD discs.
However, with the internet and streaming solutions, the studios are a middle man that aren't needed as much anymore for distribution. Anyone can put content online and have it downloadable or streamable from any number of sources. No costly manufacturing or complex deals with retail stores needed. The manufacturing of discs and retail distribution is therefore the barrier to competition needed to keep them in control so that people who want to make movies will continue to rely on them.
The ease and low cost of legal digital distribution makes them afraid they will no longer be relevant. In my opinion what they should be concentrating on to remain relevant is their expertise in actually producing good movies and marketing them but it seems some studios are stuck on using controlled distribution strategies to keep relevant. I guess they aren't confident they have anything else to offer.

Move workflow status column from one library to another in Sharepoint 2010

Good morning,
I have two libraries in the same site, LibraryA and LibraryB.
On LibraryA, users upload documents upon which they start a collect signatures workflow. The view on LibraryA contains a column with the signatures workflow name showing status: ‘Compete’, ‘In progress’.
Now on LibraryA I have created a workflow to move any document one month after creation to LibraryB (using retention schedule) irrespective of signature workflow status.
Now what I would like is to have the signature workflow status shown in LibraryB as well. From what I understand you can add the workflow status column only on the library with which the workflow is associated. I also tried, on LibraryB, to create a new
column which Lookups in {Signature Approval History – Outcome} but this did not do the trick either.
Any workarounds?

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to move the workflow status column to another library in SharePoint 2010.
I recommend to use another column to get the value of the workflow status column and then move this column to another library.
We can use workflow to update the column with the value of workflow status column.
However, the workflow status column stores the value with numbers which represent different status, so we need to update the column with corresponding status based on the numbers in the workflow.

EPM Workflow Email Notifications

I have inherited an EPM implementation that has EPM Workflow Email Notifications. The email text is not very informative and I want to customize this text to something more meaningful. I have been told this cannot be done, but find this very hard to believe.
Does anyone know if this can be done? Many thanks, in advance.

I am assuming these email notifications are sent when the project moves between workflow stages, approval etc.? The short answer is: yes, the text of the email notifications can be updated. However, it depends on how your workflows have been built, which
tools have been used (e.g. SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, 3rd party tool etc.) and the project server version - 2010/2013.
If you are using project server 2013, check if the workflows have been built using SharePoint Designed (open the PWA in SharePoint designer and check the site workflows)

Hello everyone. I am getting this error when attempting to move minor workflow changes from mirror SharePoint development / production environments and hoping someone can help me.
"This workflow cannot be imported because it was created in SharePoint Designer for a different site, or the original workflow has been moved or deleted. To move a workflow between sites, use Save as Template (.wsp file) instead of a Visio workflow
drawing."
So basically I have taken an image of our single SharePoint server, Domain Controller, and a client and restored them to an OFFLINE development environment for the testing of workflow changes prior to production. I've put quite a bit of time into one
particularly and would like to export/import rather than re-created from scratch.
I've successfully created the form template and imported. This created the necessary list items nicely and the form appears to work as expected. However, when attempting to import the .VWI file exported from dev SharePoint, I am getting the above
error. If I change the .VWI to .zip and remove the "workflow.xoml.wfconfig.xml" file, then re-zip and change the file extension back to .VWI I get a dialog that allows me to import, but I have to choose a new name and much of the related content
is lost. I need to be able to overwrite/merge the existing workflow with the import. Any suggestions?
One strange thing I ran into was during a test of an export/import from and to the exact same environment. If I simply export to .VWI, then import from .VWI with no changes, SAME everything I still get this error. Very weird. Hoping someone can shed some
light on the subject. Thank you.

Customizing request for a workflow

Dear experts,
I have created a workflow. I want to move the workflow from one client to other for testing it. For this i need to transport workbench and customizing requests of my workflow. Can you please tell me how to find the workbench and customizing request of my workflow. Is there any option in SWDD which will show the specific workflow & customizing request for that workflow.

Hi,
se01 will help you find the transport with your workflow but not the any other transports which may be part of your workflow project.
se10 transaction can be used to see transports by user. Check off both customizing and workbench requests since you will have both types of transports. The user id needs to be that of the developer that created the transport. Modified vs Released - select both if you are not sure if the transports have been released or not.

Workflow identification in Sales Order Exit

Hi,
In my Sales order exit, under some conditions Iam raising an error message, when the order is being created in background this order will move to workflow. Now if any one process this order through the workflow i want to allow the order to get posted with out raising my exception.
So I would like to know how I can identify whether my order is being posted through the workflow or directly, in the Sales order exit code.

Checking whether the order is posted in Background or foreground doesn't solve my problem, because my order may be posted in Background or foreground. But when the order is processed through workflow, the processing option depends on the configuration of the Workflow object type. So SY-BATCH doesn't serve my purpose.
Coming to using SY-UNAME, I observed that the value during the Order process through Workflow is the UserID who process it. So i can't distinguish it.
Friends, any one had any other option to identify whether the order is being posted through Workflow.
please help me out.

Error while creating concurrent workflow instances with dynamic participant

I have a workflow which has 3 interactive activites. The second interactive activity has requires approval of atleast 3 users to proceed. The participants are also not known in advance and are created dynamically by creating the directory session. The workflow is instantiated using an external trigger. The approval for interactive activities is also provided by an external trigger (API call).
Now, there is a scenario where i have 1000 requests coming in to ALBPM and workflow instance should be created for each of them. But only one instance is created and for the rest i get the following exception. This also happens with just 2 requests. I also tried calling the API in a synchronized way but didnt help.
Is anybody aware why is this error encountered anf how it can be resolved?

Assigning USER values in the task of workflow

Hi Experts ,
I am using the USER option in the task to sending workitem to the perticular user which i have given in the user option .
I am doing this in development .
When i will move my workflow to Production then if the user id which i have given in develpment will not be present in production then my workflow will not work there .
And in production also we may not change the user id ,
so is there any way through which we can able maintain the userid values in production .
Note : I want to use the USER option in the task not through the expression option .
