Movie no longer available on Apple TV

Hello,
I purchased a movie on iTunes about a month ago and have watched it a few times on Apple TV. It is now no longer showing on my Apple TV (but is showing on all other devices). I've right clicked the movie in iTunes to make sure it's in the cloud and reset my Apple TV to factory settings - it's still not showing. Any suggestions on what I should try next?

Correct, it is not locally stored and is streaming from the cloud. I'm using the same Apple ID, I only have one location and have never changed it (double checked and set correctly). Thanks for helping me troubleshoot! I'll contact iTunes.

I think the easiest way to do this is to have the EyeTV app running in one user account and sent via HDMI to the TV, and use a separate user account for Screen Sharing. Both logins can be active at the same time and with Lion you can connect via screen sharing to which ever login you need.
With regards to the Mac video resolution changing, when it is not the current input on your AV receiver. This is 'normal', if the Mac sees no signal it drops down the a lower level. What you need is to buy a HDMI Detective Plus which tricks the Mac in to always seeing a signal and hence it will not drop down the resolution. See http://www.gefen.com/kvm/dproduct.jsp?prod_id=8005
The Mac mini does have an IR receiver. This can be used with the EyeTV app, iTunes, and similar. Yes I believe EyeTV would run for prolonged periods quite happily, it is has been around for a long time and had most of the rough edges polished off. However one issue you will have to deal with is that it does not automatically update its program guide data. For this you might have to write or modify an AppleScript. Elgato support or their user forums will be a lot of help.
You can set EyeTV to convert recordings to an iTunes (Apple TV) compatible format and then delete them from EyeTV.
The HDMI Detective should solve your handshaking problems.

The offering list does not look any different to me. The 15 or so I have flagged are all still there. You would need to contact the pod caster and ask why they stopped distributing their pod cast via iTunes.

Why are certain movies no longer available?

My husband purchased Bicentennial Man on iTunes a few years ago and after Robin Williams death I wanted to purchase the movie for my iPad. After a frustrating search I see it is no longer available in the U.S. iTunes Store. I want to know why. Also, Aladddin isn't available either but you can get it on the European iTunes Store.

The owners of the distribution rights for the films make that decision. it's not up to Apple. Disney is notorious for this. They will make films available only for a limited time to drive sales.
Films may also be removed for periods of time if someone like HBO gets exclusive rights to air them for a period of time.

Lent movie no longer available in iTunes Store.

Already lent movie (Headhunters) is no longer available as a hire movie in iTunes Store. Therefore playing back this movie is not available any longer. Please Help!

and follow itunes store links and raise the issue there.
Content providers sometimes remove items for sale or change rentals to purchase only and vice versa.
If you've rented but can't watch due to such an issue I'd hope iTunes store support will be able to refund you.

Movies no longer offered by apple tv?

So I made a wishlist of all the movies I want to watch. I go to rent one and it says that it is no longer offered on Apple TV. It happened to about 3 of them. I thought that maybe the studio dropped their movies or deal with Apple. I checked, and all 3 movies had 3 different studios. What's the deal?
Does Apple start removing movies after a while? If so, why does it bring old movies onto the service?

I believe it depends on licensing rights for movies which rotate from time to time. For example you can usually predict what movies are going to disappear based on their premiering (or re-premiering) on cable channels. My guess is that whatever movies you had on your wishlist probably just premiered on HBO or one of the pay cable channels. Eventually their licensing rights will expire and the movie will return to ATV.

HT203167 The lion king movie no longer available

I purchased this movie and it is no longer available I have searched the internet and I've read that Disney had taken it off of iTunes. I have also heard that it was a glitch on apples part and it if you purchased the movie you would be able to still download it. Has any one else came across this problem?

You can only redownload films if you are in a country where redownloading is possible (and the film studio allows redownloading), and if the film is still in your country's store - so you won't be able to redownload it until if/when Disney put it back in your store.
Do you not have a copy of it on your computer and/or on your backup of your downloads/library, or on an iOS device ?

ILife 11 no longer available at Apple Store

Went to the Apple Store this morning to get the URL for the iLife 11 disk page and found it was no longer available.
Therefore, any user who needs to purchase a copy of iDVD will have to go to Amazon.com or eBay.com.

At least external optical drives are cheap and easy to get!
And they use the tray to hold and deliver disks instead of the slot. I don't like the slot. I do a lot of audio book ripping to get them on my iPod and with the slot in my iMac everything heats up too much and sometimes freezes. With the tray drive in my old G5 (which I access via Screen Sharing as it does not have a monitor) is can rip 10 disks in a row without any problem.
When the G5 finally gives up the ghost I'll get an external optical drive.

Why are BBC radio stations no longer available on Apple TV?

The BBC radio stations are suddenly no longer available via my Apple TV.
This has happened before but they came back again.
Is there a reason for this?

It appears the BBC no longer provides a high and low rate stream for each station. I had BBC Radio 6 Music High as a favourite which stopped working about a week ago. A couple days later a message came up saying that station was no longer available and offering to remove it as a favourite. I went back to the Alternative category and found it just listed as BBC Radio 6 Music which works. I now have that as a favourite.
There is now a single listing for the other Beeb stations. BBC Radio 1 is under Top 40/Pop, Radio 2 is under Adult Contemporary, Radio 3 under Classical and Radios 4 & 5 under News/Talk. I dont know if some of the specialty stations are there, or if they were even there before.

Printer driver for workforce 645 was updated yesterday and printer no longer works, driver is no longer available from apple or epson.l

When i go to the epson website it says the printer driver is available from apple. When i go to the printer selection it sees the printer but says that apple has no drivers for this printer. In the updates section of the app store it shows that the printer driver was update yesterday.

Movies no longer available to rent?

Very recently I've noticed that almost all the movies that I've rented in the past are now only available to buy. Also, many new movies do not have "rent" as an option and can only be bought. Since I only bought Apple TV to rent movies, this now makes it pretty much useless.
Does anyone know why this is happening?

guess itunes have a absolute number of rentals it support and when new ones added older ones are pushed out
otherwise after infinite time they would be hosting a infinite number of movies which would require an infinite number of megabytes to store

PBS Kids no longer available for Apple TV?

Running the latest software for the Apple TV (2010), and wake up this morning and there's no longer a PBS Kids app anywhere to be found as a channel... Anyone know or experience this? My daughter needs her Sesame Street... or else!

Personal video and movies no longer showing after Apple TV Update

Since I updated my Apple TV (second gen), all my personal videos seem to have vanished. This includes videos I may have created and/or digitized myself that are present in iTunes on my Mac. Now all I see are movies I purchased thorugh iTunes. I am connecting via my lcoal network to my Mac.
How do I get all my video to show again as it did with the last version of the software?

15" PowerBooks no longer available from Apple online stores

I guess it's finally happening. The powerbooks are being slowly retired. My powerbook is now a classic.

I don't need Apple telling me what I need!!! ****, you sound like you have no idea about the range of user's Apple has been able to attract since OS X.
Apple's decision to discontinue the 15" PowerBook is galactically short-sighted.
It has to be hands-down the most popular form-factor for the business user, and as business users, we absolutely have to live in a Windows world.
Until the MacBook can support Virtual PC, I cannot and will not upgrade. Given Microsoft's past performance, I wouldn't even hope to see VPC upgraded before 2007. You absolutely should be offering the 15", even at a special order price for those of us who will need to replace their laptops before we can switch to the MacBook.

For Lion you'll get a redemptions code and need to DL from the Mac Apple Store (requires SL 10.6.6+).
