Movie Not Loaded Error In Firefox

Good day
When I try and view a video in Firefox on YouTube or other sites, right clicking the video gives me a "movie not loaded..." error and the video does not load. Examples include videos from You Tube and Digg video.
My Specs:
- Firefox version 28.0
- Flash version 13.0.0.182
- OS Windows 7
Particularities:
- When I change the YouTube link to https, then the You Tube video works (still does not work on Digg)
- The videos seem to work using Internet Explorer
- When I disable Flash addon from Firefox, then the video works
What I have Done:
- I have reinstalled Firefox
- I have done a complete uninstall and done a clean install of Fash per the instructions from Adobe site
- I have cleared the Flash cache/files
- I have cleared Firefox cache
- I have changed the Flash settings increasing memory size by right clicking
- I have restarted Firefox in safe mode
None of these solutions have worked for me. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Also make sure that your security (anti-virus) software isn't blocking this content or otherwise interfering.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

  • Movie Not Loaded error

    Hi, I am making a Flex website using Flex Builder. When I test my site locally everything works fine, but whenI export it and upload the files to my server the site does not load, when I righy-click on it I get a 'Movie not Loaded' message. Anyone knows what's going on?
    Here's the URL with the error:
    http://www.trialien.com/emprendedorWeb/emprendedor/gestionPlanesEmpresa.html
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    If that's a CS3 file (Flash 9), I can't open it... meaning I should be able to because I have CS3, but it is acting like it's a CS4 file (Flash 10) which I do not have.

  • [Advanced] Sudden 'Movie not loaded' error with multi-swf flex application

    Hello!
    We've stumbled across a very strange problem, which we can't reproduce regulary, and therefore can't find a way to debug it.
    Our flex application consists of multiple .swf-files, each containing a piece of functionality we call module (though it's not a regular flex module), which interact with other modules in the application.
    But sometimes user interaction lead to the following problem. Some block of the application (which originated from certain module) becomes black, and right-clicking on it brings 'Movie not loaded' context menu item. After some time, the whole application becomes 'not loaded'.
    I have no idea of the cause of such a behaviour. I suppose some changes were introduced in Flash Player 10.2 - we didn't experience this problem before.
    Adobe guys, may you direct us and give us an advice on how to debug such a problem, and what might be a cause?
    It look like this:
    1)
    (in black area was a window similar to the one in background)
    2)
    (After right-click. You can see flash player version here)
    We're completely lost, and will really appreciate any help or advice.

    use an online tracer and network monitor to see what you're doing.

  • Movie Not Loaded error message

    Hello,
    I am trying to watch a live video feed from this website:
    http://www.equestriansport.tv/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1
    It is the video link at the top of the page for the Capital Challenge Horse show "indoor arena live webcam".   While I can watch all the archives on this site, when I try to watch the live feed I just get a white box and the error message that the Movie is not loaded. Also tried deselcting the hardware acceleration option, but that made no difference.
    Using google chrome with latest version of flash player. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling flash player. My computer is 32 bit Dell XPS laptop running Windows XP.
    Any advice?
    Thanks very much!

    I am getting the same with Firefox and Flash Player 11.  It seems something is wrong with that site; can you try to contact that site directly?

  • "Movie not loaded" for *some* sites, IE9, FlashPlayer 11, Win Vista

    Hello.  I am having an issue here with Internet Explorer 9, FlashPlayer 11, and Windows Vista.  Latest versions of Adobe Flash and Shockwave players as well.  Windows update is completely up-to-date and Java is at the latest version too.
    When attempting to access some websites, a grey or "invisible" box will be in place where there is supposed to be Flash content.  If you right click this, it will say "Movie not loaded"
    It does not do this for all web sites, however.  YouTube works, so does the little animation that displays over top of the "Adobe Flash Platform" under Products on the Flash web site.
    However, when havingating to the "About Adobe Flash" web site within the Flash web site, the Flash does not display the movie that is supposed to show at the top nor the version box.  Both of these say "Movie not loaded" if right-clicking where the Flash content should be.
    Other web sites like the Sirius/XM Radio web player and school corporation on-line software which teachers use to input students' grades to the master server with just show up blank as well with the "Movie not loaded" message if you right click on these web sites as well.
    I made sure Active-X filtering was disabled in the browser.  I also went in to the security groups and made sure active-x was disabled in all 4 categories.  I also tried running the Browser in un-protected mode.  None of this made a difference.  Also, Shockwave content is not disabled in add-ons.
    Why would certain Flash movies be playing but then not others?

    I just went back to the "about Flash Player" web site and the animation at the top as well as the version number displaying both worked.
    However the other sites such as www.seriusxm.com/player and the school corporation student grade on-line thing requiring Flash Player still show up as blank with the "movie not loaded" error being displayed in the box when you right-click the Flash content box (where the Flash content should be showing up)
    I have not made any changes.  I also tried running in Compatibility view, no difference.

  • Flash player shows "Movie not loaded" on Firefox 7; would 32 bit version or mode solve?

    Flash Player 11.0.1.152 is loaded on my machine. Firefox 7.0.1 is my browser. Running Windows 7 Home Premium. Flash content which worked before now does not. When I visit Flash enabled sites, the display area for the Flash content remains blank. When I right click in the display are, I get the "Movie not loaded" message. I have seen suggestions that the current Flash version does not work in 64 bit browsers. Is a 32 bit version of Firefox 7 available or is there a way to run it in 32 bit mode? Does it sound likely that this would resolve the issue?

    This computer has two different versions of Flash Player for Internet Explorer and two different versions of Flash Player for other browsers.
    A clean install is recommended:
    Windows
    Download the current 32 bit uninstaller    Uninstaller for 32 bit Operating Systems
    Close all browser windows and run the uninstaller
    Restart Windows
    Delete all remaining files and folders located in the following directories. (tip: copy and paste these paths into the path bar in an Explorer window)
    C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flas
    %appdata%\Adobe\Flash Player
    %appdata%\Macromedia\Flash Player
    Verify that the file “FlashPlayerCPLApp.cpl” in C:\Window\system32\ for 32 bit systems has been deleted.
    Download the following installer files:
    32 bit Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
    32 bit Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
    Physically disconnect from the Internet and run the installers.

    Hi everybody!
    I have a problem when i export a swf and html in flash, because when i upload it to my server and try it online i get the message "Movie not loaded..." when i click in a blank window where it should have played.
    In the activity window i can see that everything is loaded (such as the AC_RunActiveContent.js file) and i know that my server is configured to swf and flv in MIME types.
    The website is http://www.dscdesign.org/flash.html

    appreciate your help

    Thank you for the really quick answer
    When it opens the menu buttons should appear immediately such as small animation in loop and the file should load fast because is less than 400Kb.
    Well, the swf loads images and texts from xml files and also some tween animations in a folder. It seems everything is uploaded with the right path (i´m going to confirm that some more times).
    But also the site index with an .flv animation and 2 flash buttons without any external linkage isn´t appearing at http://www.dscdesign.org/

    Hi,
    Its quite strange, after further testing, the code works just
    fine at my hosting company, but when I run it locally, the flash

    I am running XP Home with IIS 5.1 I believe. I am not sure
    why this is happening.

  • Movie not load

    Guys,
    A little disturbin problem here.
    I am trying to understand plenty things at the same time
    here, so I'd really appreciate a breakdown of this concept.
    I have both Firefox n IE installed on my Lenovo - XP
    Professional laptop. I used Firefox as default and both could view
    flash movies.
    However, I had to work on a new project - which is quite in
    research stage; atleast for me. I installed Adobe CS3 Professional
    and I downloaded Chris Decker's DJ Native tool - A very good tool
    for embedding native components.
    I ran his sample tool and it was able to load the flash
    movie. However simultaneously I realised Firefox cant load Flash
    movie again, when I restored Firefox's flash plugin which
    downloaded Flash10.ocx, I can't load my flash movie in my native
    component tool again.
    Even though the tool recognized the presence of flash plugin
    but it wont display hence it says "Movie not loaded". Note, IE can
    also display these flash movies.
    My questions are:
    What are the most causes of that error "Movie not Loaded"?
    How is Shockwave different from Flash Player - emphasis on
    exclusivity; what one'll do n d other won't be able to do?
    kr,
    Nakel.

    Your published verion (as per File > Publish Settings) should go to a sub-folder called /web, under the project folder structure. Unless you explicitly change the 'Target' folder that is where it will go.
    One thing you may have done, and I suspect is the case, just go File > Save As and notice a new option to the bottom, left of the Save button, called 'Save in Folder'. This allows for multiple compositions to be saved separately instead of 'jumbling' all the items into a single location.
    See Edge Animate Help | New features summary for reference regarding this feature.

  • Servlet streaming video to client, problem with Movie not loaded.

    Ok, I am sorry if this question is beyond the scope of Servlets/Java or J2EE but I figured it was worth a shot:
    I have two servlets, one is a very simple class consisting of a doGet which just calls doPost and the doPost which just plucks out a single parameter from the request and prints out some HTML. Here is the code:
         public void doPost(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)
                   throws ServletException, IOException {
              String videoDir = request.getParameter("directoryofvideo");
              response.setContentType("text/html");
              PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
              if (videoDir==null||videoDir.equals("")||!new File(videoDir).exists()) {
                   out.println("<script type=\"text/javascript\">alert(\"There was an error locating the selected videos\");</script>");
                   //return;
              out.println("<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC \"-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN\">");
              out.println("<HTML>");
              out.println("  <HEAD><TITLE>A Servlet</TITLE></HEAD>");
              out.println("  <BODY>");*/
              out.println("   <object id=\"player1\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" data=\"/MyApp/serveUploadedFile?url=//ns20/data3/Video/player_flv_maxi.swf\" type=\"application/x-shockwave-flash\">");
              out.println("    <param value=\"/MyApp/serveUploadedFile?url=//ns20/data3/Video/player_flv_maxi.swf\" name=\"movie\"/>");
              out.println("    <param value=\"true\" name=\"allowFullScreen\"/>");
              out.println("    <param value=\"configxml=/MyApp/serveUploadedFile?url=//ns20/data3/Video/1.xml\" name=\"FlashVars\"/>");
              out.println("   </object>");
              out.println("  </BODY>");
              out.println("</HTML>");
              out.flush();
              out.close();
         }In case that is hard to read, the HTML printed is this:
       <object id="player1" width="480" height="360" data="/MyApp/serveUploadedFile?url=//ns20/data3/Video/player_flv_maxi.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash">
        <param value="/MyApp/serveUploadedFile?url=//ns20/data3/Video/player_flv_maxi.swf" name="movie"/>
        <param value="true" name="allowFullScreen"/>
        <param value="configxml=/MyApp/serveUploadedFile?url=//ns20/data3/Video/1.xml" name="FlashVars"/>
       </object>The second servlet, appropriately named: serveUploadedFile, reads in from the file off the file system and streams the data back to the client and I know it works because I can hit /MyApp/serveUploadedFile?url=//ns20/data3/Video/player_flv_maxi.swf and get the swf player but if you'd like to see the code I can copy and paste that in here as well.
    The problem is by page loads blank, all the html is written but in firebug the only thing actually downloaded to the client is the first swf player, and if I right click in the window it says "Movie Not Loaded" on Firefox, IE and Safari. I have a working example of a video that is hosted on our NAS with the exact same HTML (which is where I got that from) except the swf and xml files appear as just their names because they are in the same directory as the index.html.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you so much in advance.

    Also, I realize the parameter is not being used here that is because in order to eliminate possibilities of the problem I hard coded the path into the println statements and I am sure the path and all the files exist as well ;)

  • Movie not loaded in MySpace

    I am having trouble with Flash Player on MySpace. The only
    thing I get is a white box and if I rigth click it I get a (gray)
    "Movie not loaded" and (black) "About Flash Player" It works fine
    in any other webpage like Metacafe og Youtube.
    I am using Firefox but I have the same promblem with IE 7.
    The problem is on my laptop but everything works fine on my
    desktop
    What I have tried so far
    Firefox update is active
    Updated IE
    Uninstall Flash Player 9 and update
    Uninstall Flash Player 9 and installed Flash Player 8
    Uninstall Quick time, reinstall and update
    Uninstall Java and reinstall and update, and it is enabled
    I have tried rigth click on FlashUtil.exe and any other files

    I have tried rigth click on FlashUtil.exe and any other files
    in Macromed directory selected "Properties" selected "Security"
    checked "Full control for Anyone"
    There are a lot of other stuff that I have tried but to no
    avail. Look like there are others with similar problems out there.
    Anyone!!!!!!

    This may help some of you with this problem. I was having the
    same "Installation failed or was cancelled" error message. (Very
    descriptive, Adobe! Must be from the Microsoft school of error
    messages!) This is under Windows Vista Business.
    Anyway, it turns out that Sophos Anti-Virus HIPS Analysis was
    stopping the MSW****.tmp file from running from my
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\ directory. Sophos said it was
    exhibiting suspicious behavior and to send it to Sophos for
    analysis. (Adobe: Suggest you talk to Sophos about this and
    determine what's suspicious about your .tmp file during
    installation and fix it!)
    So, I went into the Sophos settings (Configure Sophos
    Anti-Virus -> HIPS runtime behavior analysis) and disabled
    (unchecked) 'Detect suspicious behavior' long enough to complete
    the install.
    If you don't run Sophos it may be whatever antivirus or
    security software you run. Check Event Viewer for any sign that
    your antivirus or security software is blocking the MSW****.tmp
    files from running.
