Movie not playing

This has happened a few times. I'll buy a movie and play it no problem, then when I go to play it again I get a pop-up that says it can't play because my computer doesn't have HDCP. It played just fine before, I didn't change computer or re-purchase the movie. Then for no reason it will start playing it again only to say the "computer doesn't support HDCP" thing again down the road. How can I fix this it's getting rather annoying. Any help would be apreciated.

How long is your video? Chances are, it's just taking a long time to download. The automatic conversion from iMovie to iWeb isn't adding the code that allows the video to play WHILE it's downloading. If you instead export as QuickTime and choose the Web format, it's the same settings BUT people will be able to see it as it's downloading. You'll have to build the page by hand, but that's not very difficult using iWeb

Rented "Gone Girl" on apple tv. It charges me, but will not play for more than 4 seconds at a time. I have exercised every step of apple's troubleshooting and nothing fixes the problem. I have a very strong, steady 81 Mbps Internet connection speed and can stream any other HD through the apple tv except for this rented movie. This is not the first time this has happened either. I just gave apple $6 for free and am currently watching the movie streaming through my cable provider's on demand channel with ease. Oh yeah, and when I seek apple support for the issue, apple wants $2 just to contact someone! Give me my money back please and I will never attempt to use your poor tv service again.

The limitation of approximately 200 titles has been discussed before, we can't be sure whether it will be something that gets fixed or not. I'm not really sure what your other issues are, if I use search instead of lists, I find whatever I want and am able to rent or purchase subject to those options being available for that particular title.

Quicktime.mov not playing back from website

iWeb 3.0.4
I downloaded three .MOV to my site. One is playing back ok, the other two are only displaying the QuickTime symbol. I did empty the browser cache, but to no avail. Did check with server and the .MOV files are in the html folder, but not playing back. I also re-uploaded the questionable .MOV files, but it still does not let me open the files on my site. site name : bodoholst.com

All three movies play OK for me.
The pages are slow to load as this method of adding them to the pages requires the movie file to download with the web page.
If you are happy to depend on viewers having the QuickTime plugin, this is a better way...

Flash movie not play on FireFox

I built couple flash movies ( using flash 8) on the website : http://www.hoaxinh.com
For some reason, they do not automatically play in new Firefox. The movie only play when use click on "play" button.
Should I have to convert these movie using higher verson of flash? could you please help?

Movie not playing in iTunes

I have a movie in mp4 format which I have imported from my hard disk into my iTunes library. I am able to stream it to my HDTV through the Apple TV2 but it refuses to play in iTunes. The window comes up but the movie just does not play. Any idea what could be the possible cause? The movie also plays flawlessly in Quicktime and in DVD Player.

Do you have Quicktime installed? My iTunes wouldn't play movies until I installed Quicktime.

Aimersoft ripped movies not playing on ATV2

I use the program Aimersoft DVD ripper to rip movies to my hard drive then I upload them to my iTunes so they'll play on my ATV2. Haven't had any problems with this until today. A movie I just ripped will play on my iMac just fine and will show up on my ATV2 screen but when I press play it won't play. I've checked all of the settings in iTunes for the movies that play correctly and nothing is different in the one that won't play.
Any suggestions?

May not help but ocaasionally restarting AppleTV/iTunes can actually fix some hiccups with the device.
If you have used the software without issue in the past, is it possible you've picked the wrong encoding setting/s this time? Might be worth trying again?
I have no experience with the software you mention and as others have said we can't discuss such things in detail anyway.

HT2488 Automator movie not playing

I have created an application in Automator using the get movie and play movie options, i have saved the saved application file into my login items and enabled auto login.
The problem is that when i bootup the machine nothing happens it just auto logs in and sits on the desktop, i have been on this problem now for 4 days but with no success. I can run the video once on the desktop with no problem but it's just not working in automator. Also i need to get quicktime player to open full screen once the video file has been selected which again i'm struggling to find a solution for despite scouring the web for days there is no option to set quicktime player to run permenantely on full screen on opening.
This video is a suprise message from santa for my daughter and i need to get it working before the big day.

Flash movie not playing in Catalyst

I'm a novice to FC, but have some website design experience.
With that said, I'm having a hard time figuring my problem out. I created a interactive tour for the non-profit organization that I work for, everything works perfectly when I preview it in catalyst. However, when I publish it to dreamweaver and import it two things happen when I preview it in a browser. 1. the sound that I have during a mouse over doesn't work. 2. All of my five panels have short 2-3 min. flash movies that will not play.
If I play the swf in dreamweaver everything works, it's just when I preview it in a browser that it fails. I have tried both the "insert swf" option and the html code. In the html code the sound happens during a mouse over but the videos still won't play. I have tried to look through the flash code but can't find the link to my media. Please, Please help.
One more note: I have tried to save the movie in both FLV and FL4 format with no luck either way.

Due to Flash Player security restrictions, you usually can't use the same SWF file both for previewing locally and for uploading to a website. Basically, the rule of thumb is:
If you're looking at a file:// URL, you need to use the run-local folder's contents
If you're looking at an http:// URL, you need to use the deploy-to-web folder's contents
So, when working locally in Dreamweaver you'll want to use run-local, but then substitute deploy-to-web when you're ready to upload your site to a webserver. If you want to make sure your substitution worked, you can always upload to a temp "staging" folder on your server and then test it in your browser before going fully live with the content.

Videos and Movies not play right

Vids not play right (distorted), Audo (this time) OK though.
What do?
(Why do the vids not have their own list as before in library?)

Which ever one of these changes I made allowed the vids to work, but I do not know which one it was since I did both one right after the other and then applied, OK, closed QT and then checked vids.
Which one is most likely?
Disable Direct3D video acceleration in QuickTime
On the Start menu, click Control Panel.
Open the QuickTime control panel.
Click the Advanced tab.
Deselect Enable Direct3D video acceleration in the Video section as shown here:

The Vids worked before the 7 update!
Why I have to change all this and IT not automatically allow to work with the update?
Why do I have to make all these changes and adjustments to make IT work again with 7?
Where is the "videos" section like "music" is under Library? (There use to be one, where is it now? I guess it is called "movies" now, but my music videos are not in there anymore, why and why only movies and not vids too?)

Purchased itunes movies not playing in completion on iphone

I have a purchased movie from itunes and it will not play from start to end without being interrupted and defaulting back to the the video screen.
Apple support had me to this
1. Turn off iphone completlely and reboot. Load up movie, which failed to run properly.
next tried...
2. Remove movie from itunes and reload and resync. Failed again to work properly.
3. The apple supports next suggestion is to find someone that has an iphone and get them to load up a movie from my computer. This I have not done.
I just do not understand why this movie plays fine in itunes but crashes on the iphone.

correct me if i am wrong, but you do not get that option to convert movie to ipod/iphone, just to acc that i recall.

Movie not Playing on Production Server

Hello Everyone and thnaks for your help in advance. I am relatively new to Flash development. I created my first movie with a poster board. It appears to work fine on my local machine, however, when I publish it to my production server, the poster board displays, but the click to play button does not play the movie. AW/Flash Movie not playing with Skin

We inserted flash movie files (developed in Captivate-saved
as flash 6 with a skin) using the insert flash movie menu option in
AW7.02. We inserted the skin and it also pulls the captivate movie.
We published using 1 button publishing. Our self-executables work
fine. However on the web the skin appears but the movie does not
play. If we imsert the movie alone, it plays but doesn't have the
play/pause/stop/slide bar controls that the skin provides. Any
suggestions?

I had a similar problem a few months ago. I asked one of the
Captivate
engineers. Here's his response.

Open the skin Editor (Project -> Skin...) From the
'Borders' Tab, Deselect
'Show Borders'.
Doing the above two steps will result in only one output file
which will
include the playbar. However, it will overlap some part of
the content.
To use old (Captivate 1 style) playback controls, do the
following:
Open the Skin Editor and from the 'Skin' Drop down combo box,
select 'BMP
Playbars'.
If you wish that your playback control should not overlap the
content and
still output is one file, then do the following.
Turn off the borders (as explained above).
From Project menu, open 'Resize Project'
In the 'Resize project' dialog, Increase only the height by
20 pixels.
In the group below (left hand side, 'if new size is lager'),
select 'Keep
project the same size and fill bg with color' and selct a
color.
Select the position of project as top center.
Do not rescale any objects
In the above way, your output will only be one file and still
will include
the playback controls and the playback controls will not
overlap the
content.

Flash movie not playing

After installing the flash player my movie will not play. In
control panel it shows the program installed. I have gone through
all the technotes and besides messing around in the registry
nothing has worked. Why can't I see the movie after flash has
installed? This happened overnight. I have tried system restore and
have been unsuccessful. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Purchased and Rented movies not playing

recently any movies that i have downloded form itunes store or movies that i have previously downloaded haven't been playing back.
when i go to choose a movie itunes can see my movies are there but when i play them it comes up with a blank screen ( no audio or visual) and the timer counts down as if the movie is playing. This also happends with movie clips/video clips i steam from the store.
i have removed, repaird and reinstalled itunes 64bit about 6 times, downloaded quicktime and reinstalled it twice. Updated my drivers and made sure everything else was up to date, even did a system restore and still no luck.
i am running windows 8 pro 64bit but this problem has only happend with in the last 2 weeks and i have been running win8 since the start of the year.
please help

The white screen indicates an authorisation issue, try restarting your tv and if that is unsuccessful, try de/re-authorising your itms account.
