Movie Playlist Autoplay next movie

Since the latest update of the iTunes for Windows 7 (x64) that my movie playlists don't play automaticly from the end of the movie A to the begining of the movie B and so on...
In the latest version this works perfectly, and now I don't know how it stoped.
This is very anoying...

"There's an option in settings for Playlists. It was set to Music only. Changed that to All then found the movie playlist under Movies by selecting Genre."
This is not to be done in iTunes in your computer; this is to be done at your apple TV under "setting". "audio video" "show playlist" "music only/all"
I am posting this here because I started chat mode with Apple support last night at midnight till 1:30, they didn't know what to do.
They called me back this morning at 10 am.
It's not 11:40 they finally know what I am talking about and showed me where to to find the "music only / all" toggle. My problem is now fixed;
all these time, they have in front of them a screen shot of your questions and answer but they don't know where to change it from music only to all.
So, I hope this will save the next victim a lot of time.

I created a Movie playlist in iTunes with 3 trailers and a movie. I can view the playlist fine in iTunes. When I go to my ATV3 the playlist does not show up anywhere. There is no playlist option under movies and the playlist doesn't show up when I select playlists under Music. I can access my music playlists fine and also the movies. It's just this Movie playlist that is missing on the ATV. Where do I access a Movie playlist on ATV3?

Syncing Movie Playlists?

In the past, I've always had specific playlists in iTunes that I would add/remove songs and movies from then sync directly to my iPod (just in case something happend and I lost everything on the iPod I could just sync right back to where it was).
But now with the iPhone 3G all I can do is scroll through a list (in my case, an extremely long list) of movies and put a tick next to the ones I want on my iPhone - this gets very annoying very quickly.
Is there a way to sync movie playlists directly to you iPhone 3G?

No way.
iPhone only recognizes one Movie list, the same for TV Shows.
If you want to create a Movie list in the iTunes you use to sync your iPhone, it won't be recognized either.
The Movies are treated as if they were in a solely single list that you can't modify... at least that you modify the name of every movie in iTunes to make them appear in different order.
I am agree that it is a must to have a way to manage movies in different lists. But, at this moment, it is impossible.

Can't see movie playlists in ATV section of iTunes

I created a playlist of home movies in iTunes 8.2.1, using ATV files made with QT Pro. The playlist has a music icon.
When I look in the ATV movie section on iTunes, I don't see the playlist as a selectable item for syncing (I'm using custom sync for all categories). I also don't see the playlist in the ATV music section. If I add the playlist to a folder, it then shows up in the music section, but can not be selected.
I'm using ATV software 2.3.1 which should have this capability. Also using OS 10.4.11, and everything else with ATV works fine, including playing the movies if they not in playlists.

Yes, on ATV I have "All" playlists enabled.
I upgraded to ATV 2.4 and have the same settings.
I now see that in iTunes 8.2.1, the movie section for ATV does have a choice box for sync selected, but it's either "movies" or "playlists" separately. There does not appear to be a choice for movies and playlists combined, in case I wanted to select just a couple of playlists.
It seems to be all or nothing. Is this the way it's designed? If so, I hope Apple will add another choice for movies in the next ATV or iTunes update (the way it works for music playlists & folders).

You can group music, but not movies (videos). There is a way to group movies:
Select the movies in you 'Movies' tab in iTunes, right click, then select get info.
Tick the box next to artist, and fill in the studio of the movie. Then re-sync all content to iPod.
Albums of MP4 need to be converted to AAC, to do this:
Select the songs you wish, right click, and choose 'Covert Selection to iPod'.

ATV still can't play movie playlists?

I tried to make a playlist of movies (m4v format) that I converted from Handbrake.
Then I choose to sync both the movies and playlist to my ATV.
But on the movie part, I still can't see the playlist.
What's wrong?
Shouldn't the 2.3 update play the movie playlist already?
Or simply it still can't play the playlists that I converted myself, only play those purchased from iTunes?
Any idea?

This doesn't really contribute anything but....
Music video playlists and playlists for short TV shows (eg kids cartoons) I can understand, but I can't personally envisage needing a movie playlist - what do you need it for? Is it say for watching Star Wars I-VI consecutively or something along a 'movie party' line?
Even with TV shows so long as they're grouped properly can't see it takes more than a couple of secs to select the next episode.
Maybe it's because I'm not a big playlist user (even for music) in the first place.

Thank you! I put some self help hypnosis tracks to listen to on my iPod. I did not want to go to the next track automatically, I wanted to listen to them individually, one at a time. (If I fell asleep, I did not want to 'wake up' in the middle of a different track.) Your information helps me understand that I need to re-load this playlist onto my iPod from my Mac computer, only first, I need to UNCHECK the boxes in front of each track so the iPod will STOP each time after playing the selected track. It is too bad that so many functions are not availabvle within the iPod, but that is probably why they can make it so compact.

Itunes wont allow me to move to the next song on my list

I am unable to use the control buttons to move to the next song on my playlist/library. When i hit the next or previous buttons the song stops. also, if i let the song play through to the end it doesn't begin playing the next song on the list. any help is appreciated.

How do I move mouselessly to next tune when editing Info?

Often the CDDB gets it wrong with classical CDs and I frequently must edit the information in my library.
For pieces, like symphonies, with multiple movements, I need to go into the Get Info screen (Apple-I) and edit the Name field. I usually will copy some corrected text to paste into part of the next tune’s Name field.
Is there a way to use the keyboard to move to the next tune while editing Information fields? (This would be so much faster and easier than picking up my mouse and clicking on the Next Button.)

Tracy and Sara, thanks so much for the tip. In retrospect it seems so intuitive, but I kept trying to use the arrow keys in combination with alt-, ctrl-, etc.
Since you’ve been so kind – and knowledgeable – may I impose a bit more: When you first go into the Information window, you’re put into the Summary area. What key or keys do you use to move to Info, Options, Lyrics, or Artwork?

Remote App 3.0 Movie Playlist

Recently upgraded to Remote App 3.0, along with an ATV upgrade. Glad to see the WiFi issues have been cleared up. new problem however is that Movie Playlists will not start the movie.
Scenario is:
Load Remote App 3.0
Connect to "Office" Apple TV
Select "Media Server" from Home Share
I do no select any specific category, and I am presented with all my Playlists
Select Movie from any playlist (Smart or no) the movie will not start
Anyone else running in to this problem.
If I look under specificly the "Movies" section in the Home Share, the only options I have are Unwatched, All Movies and Generes.
When using the navigation controls and having the AppleTV it self view the play lists (after enabling the option to see Playlists in all areas) I am able to use the Smart Playlists I have been able to use. This would isolate the issue to Remote App 3.0
The question is, why won't the latest Remote App start a movie from a playlist?

Unable to load movie playlist?

I'm really starting to regret Upgrading to Director 11. I
didn't have any of these issues going from MX to MX 2004. All I'm
trying to do is make a simple projector work on a Mac and it's one
issue after another. Not to mention all this after updating a whole
boat load of Xtras 11 requires.
The new one is this;
Unable to load movie playlist. Does the INI file exsist? It
must contain a section '(Movies)' with an entry
'Movies01=pathname.dir'.
I've already read a couple of other forum post with the same
error message going on with others but can't find certain files
required to make the fix like the 'Projec32.skl',
and I don't know how to read, let alone make an .INI file.
I'll mention I got this error after updating to Shockwave 11
EVEN though I was not publishing a Shockwave movie.
I know I just need to include a certain file on my CD when I
burn one because all works great on the desk top, but I'm throwing
darts trying to figure out what the CD burn is missing.
So to make a long story short does anyone know what I might
be missing?
I'm new to making director movies for the Mac, and even using
a Mac so I might need it spelled out a little more for being a
novice.

PS I tried making a Mac Projector from my PC with no good
results either.

This is a very frustrating problem. I have run into it as well, but can't tell you exactly how I solved it, its been a while since I've seen it. It does have something to do with the length of the path to your projector when its published. I would suggest moving your movie as close as possible to the root of the drive, you may even want to restart to ensure all the internal variables have been reset and then republish the movie.
If you publish the movie from your authoring location and then copy the projector to a cd or the desktop the path length seems to be built into the projector at publishing. So that does not solve the problem. It is fairly easy to get a long path name - c:/mylocaldrive/documents and settings/yourusername/yourprojectsfolder/yourprojectname.dir has a path name length of 100 characters! I realize you are on a mac, but the same rules apply.
I also might be mistaken with the maximum path length. Perhaps its 128 characters?
Has anyone else run into this error?

Is there a way to link text fields, so when you reach the end of one line it moves to the next?

I often use Acrobat Pro to create forms, whether it be from an existing document or from scratch, and this has always irritated me. I know you can create a text field and select the Multi-line option; however, this is not what I am looking to do. I have a form that has a Yes or No Radio Button, then below it says "If yes, please explain:" followed by 3 lines to respond. When I run it through the Form Creator, it places three text fields on the response lines - as it should. The first line is shorter because of the text, which is why I cannot use the Multi-line option. So is there a way to link these three text fields, so that when I reach the end of the first line it stops and automatically moves to the next?

These types of lines are a left-over from printed forms. There's no reason
to keep using them if your form is digital.
The best approach is to combine the fields to a single multiline field, and
get rid of the first line. Trying to link text fields together is very
tricky. I haven't yet to see it done properly.

How do you view tv or movie playlists created in iTunes on Apple TV?

I have iTunes 12.1.0.50 running on a Mac and a 2nd generation Apple TV with the latest software update on it. However I am aware that Apple is not providing any more updates to the 2nd generation Apple TV. I have some tv shows purchased on iTunes that I'd like to view in a playlist so that they can play back to back (kind of like it works on Netflix). So, I created a smart playlist to contain all of The Walking Dead episodes in the right sequence and works very well when I play the movies on my Mac in iTunes. However, I want to play this on my 2nd generation Apple TV without streaming directly from my iTunes on my Mac. From searching on the web it seems like people have done this by setting the "Show Playlists" settings under "Audio Settings" from "Music only" to "All" and that after doing this the tv and video playlists are supposed to show up somewhere in Apple TV. It doesn't appear to be working for me so my first question is "where" are these playlists supposed to show up e.g.(under "Movies" for movies and under "TV shows" for tv shows? or is it in the Music playlists?) I've looked everywhere and it doesn't appear to work.
I have even setup Home Sharing to view my playlists directly on my Mac from Apple TV and even then I don't see the playlists that contain tv shows or movies. So one thought I had is that the latest iTunes update broke this feature for 2nd generation Apple TVs (since other people have mentioned using this feature). I have also tried creating a normal playlist to add movies or tv shows to but I get a message from iTunes that it needs to download the whole movie from the cloud to put it in a playlist (which I find clunky). I allowed the download to happen once just to see if the normal playlist would suddenly appear on Apple TV but it didn't show up either. So, I'm not sure if I need to get the 3rd generation Apple TV to have this feature now or if those units are broke as well.....or if there is something else I need to do to get this to work.
Any help would be appreciated.

Playlists AFAIK do not sync with the cloud. The only way you could posibly do it is Home Sharing from iTunes if the playlists appear in Computers,
