Movie rental wont download to my phone

What does it mean if it says 'waiting' underneath the download bar. I rented it last night and its been about 12 hours. I have enough memory in my phone. It just won't load. What should I do!

Are you not Wi-Fi?
Make sure you're on Wi-Fi and plug into the wall power supply with the supplied adapter.

Does your phone have enough available memory for the movie? Maybe you will need to clear some space.

  • HT1657 Some movie rentals will download but there is the odd Rental that won't. how do I get those ones to work?

+I've tried some suggestions online, but most suggest that the problem is with available media--I don't think that's my problem. Any suggestions?+
    You don't have enough media.
Move your IN point a few seconds into the clip, and then drop it into the timeline.
    Now apply dissolve

From the iTunes Store Terms of Sale:
    MOVIE RENTALS
Movies are viewable only on your Mac or Windows computer (using iTunes version 7.6 or later), iPhone, video-enabled iPod (iPod touch, iPod nano (3rd generation), or iPod classic), or on TVs using your Apple TV. Movies in high definition resolution (HD) are viewable only on TVs using your Apple TV and must be downloaded directly to your Apple TV. Movies are viewable only on one device at a time.
You must be connected to the iTunes Store when moving or streaming movies. Once a movie is moved, it is no longer viewable on the sending device. You may only move movies to another device from your Mac or Windows computer. Movies downloaded directly to your Apple TV may not be moved.
You have thirty (30) days after downloading a movie to begin viewing. Once you begin viewing, you have twenty-four (24) hours to view the movie (the “Viewing Period”). You may view the movie an unlimited number of times during the Viewing Period. Movies are not viewable after the thirty (30) day period. Stopping, pausing or restarting a movie does not extend the available time for viewing.
If you move a movie to an iPod or iPhone and then use iTunes to restore the iPod or iPhone before you finish watching it, the movie will be deleted and will not be recoverable. This also applies to choosing Settings > Reset > Erase all content and settings on iPod touch and iPhone.
    Broadband Internet connection required.

    Hi Bts051987,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you cannot resume or restart your movie rental download, try the following steps.
First, force close the iTunes app:
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app's preview up to close it.

  • Movie rentals error downloading from itunes

two movie rentals downloading. one is downloading fine, while the other sayys that there is an error with the network connection (err= -50)

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (it's been taking some people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

  • HT1390 Do I have to wait for movie rental to download before I can watch it?

Do I have to wait for a movie rental to completely download before I watch it?

It can take the card up to 24 hours to activate after the point of purchase, but if its past 24 hours from when you bought it, the card must not have been activated properly at the register, which is the sole responsibility of the retailer.

  • RE: movie rentals and downloaded data usage

I purchased my first movie rental the other day. The 1.5gb it took to download has not appeared in my data usage for the month with my service provider. Am I to assume that my movie rental only cost me $3.99 and not the $25 worth gb's it took to download as well? This will make me very relieved.

That's not something Apple have any control over.
Do you have an alternative you can swap to?
I use to have unlimited download capacity but it's been capped at 100GB because og the small number of selfish users who were downloading torrents etc 24/7 - BUT if they had an unlimited service surely 24/7 downloads wouldn't break an unlimited service! All these companies want to have their cake and eat it.
The other unlimited rtactic is to give unlimited downloads but at very slow speeds limiting monthly usage anyway.
In many instances data caps will prevent uptake of video on demand/rentals regardless of who's providing them.

  • Movie rental stopped downloading

I rented a movie yesteday and it stopped downloading. will I get a refund?

Make sure your iTunes and iOS is up to date, that may cause the movie not to download correctly. Also if there was an issue with your internet connection, it can corrupt the file.
Best thing to do is contact iTunes Support to see if they can send the file again or refund you

  • Movie rentals: once downloaded to itunes how do i get them to my iphone?

This is my first time downloading rentals. They seem to appear in my itunes library, but they don't seem to move to my iphone when I sync. Is there something additional I should do? Ultimately, how do I access them on the iphone? From the ipod section? itunes? not sure where it should be and how i get them there. Was hoping to have them available to watch on a flight tomorrow but can't seem to figure it out. Would really appreciate any advice.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, when the iphone is connected I don't see a Videos tab. There is a movies tab though. The movies only show up in the "rented movies" section/tab of my library. I don't see a way to move them. Where is the "move" located? I went through where I thought it would be and can't seem to locate it. Sorry if I misunderstand.

  • Itunes movie rental wont move to ipod.

I rented a movie and it synced to my iphone. I then found out that I cannot play the movie on my TV through the iphone so I tried to move the movie to my 30 gig Ipod video. Could not move it. I tried re-renting the movie while my ipod video was connected to itunes on my pc. The movie downloaded and is in the rental folder in the itunes library but I cannot movie it to my ipod. I tried itunes help and followed their directions without success. The movie is stuck in the "Rental" folder in the library and cannot be moved anywhere. Please advise.

    Hi,
I see this question is marked "non answered" yet the answer is there. It is my belief that our 30 or 60g (aka 5th gen video) iPods, because they allow analog transfer to a TV, are not able to accepts a rental movie. It's unfortunate because that's how we watch iTunes content. I think I will buy a Mac Mini soon to accomplish this function.
