Movie streaming from one server to many Apple TV

Hi guys, I want to buy an Apple TV for each TV in a very big house. Is it possible to stream a movie (the same or different) from a pc or server (with iTunes) to more than five Apple TV?

it can play
H.264 video up to 720p, 30 frames per second, Main Profile level 3.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats
MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats
Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format
from media located in a itunes lib on the same LAN not over the internet well it may depend on which ports and how transparent a vpn is but
doubt the atv2 is a good option for you
maybe a netbook'ish weak computer connecting to a terminal server citrix or the likes would work better

  • Move VM from one server to another using Local Repositories

    There is the following structure:
    ovhost-01 with first_repo
    ovhost-02 with second_repo
    Oracle VM version: 3.1.1
    Both first_repo and second_repo are Local Repositories.
    On ovhost-01 I have VM named "TestOVM" with status Stopped .
    Task:
    Move VM from ovhost-01 to ovhost-02 using "Clone or Move" section from VM Manager ( http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27300_01/E27309/html/vmusg-vm-manage.html#vmusg-vm-move )
    Whenever I try VM moving virtual disk stays on the first_repo.
    With shared NFS-storage this feature working well.
    Question:
    Is it possible to move VM from one server to another with Local Repositories ?

    Neither ovhost-01 nor ovhost-02 have access to each other. It move or copy... the admin server that is connected to the local repository would have to have access to the target repository.

  • How to move folders from one server to another serve using unix command

    Hi All,
    How to move the folders from one server to another server using unix command.
    scp -r armops@sjarmprd01:/ARM/scripts [email protected]:/ARM/scripts/
    but it is giving an error like not a regular file .. what it means .. please let me know if any one knows about it
    Thanks
    Sreedhar

    not a regular file .. what it meansProbably you have some fifo (named pipe) files...
    Said that this has nothing to do with database (you should post on some nix forum, for example http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=135), you may try rsync* command (man rsync).

  • How move apex from one server to another

    Hi All,
    I am just a beginner who has just started with APEX. Its strange but even though I am just a beginner I was given a task to move the current whole apex system from one server to another.
    Can any one help what the steps do I need to follow to do this?
    I also need to setup backup server to this new server so that in case this new server goes down, the backup one can be made productional.
    I think I should move apex first then move the whole database. Is there any tool or some thing which can do it for me?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    what you are being asked to do would be a complex task for an experienced DBA, which, judging by the way you have asked the questions, you are not, no offence intended.
    As far as I can see you have three options.
    1. Hire a consultant/contractor with the necessary skills to perform the tasks.
    2. Gain several years experience as an Oracle DBA, including Apex, backup and recovery and disaster recovery skills.
    3. Look for a new job.
    Sorry to sound facetious, but it is a ridiculous task you have been given assuming the skill and knowledge level you are coming from. Assuming you have not misrepresented yourself to your employer, this is not your fault and I think you need to seriously push back on your boss if possible.

  • Move Wiki from one Server to another

    I failed in moving the wiki I programmend and that worked quite well from one 10.5. server to another machine. I copied some stuff from one device to another but obviously not the correct one.
    Is there a way to do it automatically or knows somebody which files have to be moved?

    Hello Matthew
    You're looking in the wrong spot
    First things first - make yourself default sudo with sudo -s then you can forget prefixing it all the time.
    If you just use pg_dump then it'll take the command from the /var-Directory - that's the wrong version
    You have to specify the path for the Socket where the PSQL-Database for the wiki really is located by using the -h-option - it's not the default
    that's why you get the error that role collab does not exist since you're connecting to a database in place where the role collab truy isn't part of it.
    So - if you'd like to export the wiki-DB us the following and adapt the filename to what you like it to be.
    bash-3.2# /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/bin/pg_dump -h "/Library/Server/PostgreSQL For Server Services/Socket/" -p 5432 -f /Volumes/USBSTICK/wikidatabase.pgdump -U collab collab
    The first block specifies the "not default" pg_dump you'd like to use
    The second block (-h "/Library/.....) tells pg_dump where to find the DB
    The third block tells pg_dump to use port 5432
    The fourth block (-f /Volumes/......) tells pg_dump to place its output into this file
    The fifth block (-U collab) tells pg_dump to do this is role collab
    The sixth block tells pg_dump from with DB to dump from
    In your case extend my provided command with your options --format=c --compress=9 --blobs like this:
    bash-3.2# /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/bin/pg_dump -h "/Library/Server/PostgreSQL For Server Services/Socket/" -p 5432 -F c --compress=9 -b -f /Volumes/USBSTICK/wikidatabase.pgdump -U collab collab
    BTW- you can connect to the database, of course:
    bash-3.2# psql -h "/Library/Server/PostgreSQL For Server Services/Socket/" -p 5432 collab collab

    You talk to your network administrator(s) and ask them what permissions have been assigned to the user that the ColdFusion service|demeon is running as.

  • How to 'move' databases from one server to another

    Hi there
    Here is a brief description of my assignment.
    We have two Redhat Linux 4 64-bit server where two Oracle 10.2.0.4 64-bit database are running (one on each server).
    <li>DB on server1 is using Filesystem for storage.
    <li>DB on 2nd server is using ASM.
    <li>Size of both is between 75-80GB.
    <li>I have to move both the databases to new servers (same platform) with minimum downtime.
    <li>There is no upgrade required during this move/migration. Both DBs have to be brought over as-is.
    <li>The new servers may be on VMWare - I am not sure it at the moment. But please let me know if that will make any difference.
    I would highly appreciate if someone could please provide me with some high-level guidelines to perform this move.
    Best regards

    Hi Srini
    Thank you so much for sharing the valuable URLs.
    I am reading through "Cloning An Existing Oracle10g Release 2 (10.2.0.x) RDBMS Installation Using OUI [ID 559304.1]" and I have few questions.
    <li> This MOS says:
    NOTE: This note should only be used for cloning single-instance (non-RAC) homes. It should not be used for cloning RAC, CRS or ASM homes.If that is the case, how should I clone ASM-Home?
    One of the environments that I have to migrate to a new server has ASM installed as well. And couple of oracle databases (10.2.0.5) on that server are using ASM for storage.
    <li>If were to do a fresh installation of 10gR2 RDBMS and ASM homes (on Redhat Linux 64-bit), I guess I need to contact Oracle Support (open an SR) to access the software, right?
    <li>How to check from existing installation which patches I need to download and apply to this fresh installation in order to make it same as the existing installation? "opatch lsinventory" gives me a long list of number/fixes - I don't know which patch(es) to download.
    Please advise!
    Best regards

  • How can we move LDOM from one serve to other.

    Hi,
    i have an LDOM setup on a T6320 Blade with Solaris 10.
    The boot image of LDOM is under a ZPool image of 32 GB.
    I want to move this LDOM from T6320 to another T6340. but they don't have the shared disk or not connected to same SAN.
    Sun's document talks about moving the LDOM but what i understood is it is only applicable if the virtual disks are accessable from both the servers.
    Can anybody help me here ?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    You can try something like this :-
    SQL> CONNECT SYS/SYS123@SERVER AS SYSDBA
    Connected.
    SQL> CREATE USER TEST_1 IDENTIFIED BY TEST_1;
    User created.
    SQL> CREATE USER TEST_2 IDENTIFIED BY TEST_2;
    User created.
    SQL> GRANT CONNECT,RESOURCE,DBA TO TEST_1;
    Grant succeeded.
    SQL> GRANT CONNECT,RESOURCE,DBA TO TEST_2;
    Grant succeeded.
    SQL> CONNECT TEST_1/TEST_1@SERVER
    Connected.
    SQL> CREATE TABLE TEST_COPY ( TEST_COL NUMBER );
    Table created.
    SQL> INSERT INTO TEST_COPY VALUES ( 1 );
    1 row created.
    SQL> INSERT INTO TEST_COPY VALUES ( 2 );
    1 row created.
    SQL> COMMIT;
    Commit complete.
    SQL> GRANT ALL ON TEST_COPY TO TEST_2;
    Grant succeeded.
    SQL>  CONNECT TEST_2/TEST_2@SERVER
    Connected.
    SQL> CREATE TABLE TEST_COPY AS SELECT * FROM TEST_1.TEST_COPY;

  • Move portal from one server to a new server

    We had a hardware crash, and the server is not recoverable.   We restored everything to a new server with a new host name.   That is the only thing that has changed.   I thought i found all the areas where the old host name was in the properties files and in configtool.
    When I log into the portal, and look at System Managment - Administrator - Systems, its shows me the correct name and server, when I click on it, it says my instance name and id, with the incorrect (old server name).  Where is this value stored?

    trial and error i came up with a doc and also used the java copy doc sap has on the portal

  • How to move client from one server to other at remote location

    Dear All,
    We have two servers located in two different locations.Due to some network issues i am unable to do the remote client copy .
    Please suggest how do i take client 100 to other server which is at different location and on different platform.
    Source system is HP Unix Target system is on windows2003, database is oracle on both servers.
    Regards,
    Najeeb ..

    Dear Shark,
    Please check whether you have set archive logs.
    If you have set then please disable, it since it will increase size of /oracle/SID/oraarch.
    then you need to take achive backup. so all the above please ensure that no archive logs are generated.
    also check the size of PSAPUNDO and PSAPTEMP tablespace and if possible make its size large.
    Have you enabled Automated Undo managemant. if your database is oracle9 then you need to manually provide AUM or else it is automatic in higher oracle DB.
    Check the logs of Client copy using scc3.. all the best for all.
    Regards,
    Ganesh

  • Export DB from one server to another.

    Hello
    I have big p problem to find the way how to move database from one server to another. The database is 10g R2. The both server are on windows server system and they are in the same network. I have one weekned to do this. I have found 4 ways:
    - Clone
    - duplicate
    - Expdp/impdp
    - RMAN
    Which of this possibilities is best for me?
    And next question how I should install database on new server? Should I use option "Install databse software only" ? This seems to me the best solution, but what after? How to in this condition make a import?
    The second posibility is to install the database during the instalation - but if it will be the same database as is on my orginal server?
    Thanks in advance for any explanation.
    Andrew

    Pl post exact details of OS and database versions of the source and target servers.
    You could clone the ORACLE_HOME binaries from source to target by following instructions in MOS Doc 300062.1 (How To Clone An Existing RDBMS Installation Using OUI)
    Is there a reason you cannot shut down the database, copy all of the relevant database files to the new server, and start up the database there ? It would be easier and faster than using expdp/impdp. This assumes that the source and target OS are compatible.

  • How can I move the ODI Work Repository from one server to another server?

    How can I move the ODI Work Repository from one server to another server?

    Hi,
    If you would like to move your source models, target models and project contents from Work repository 1 to another work repository.
    I.e. Dev. server to Prod Server.
    1. Firstly, replicate the master repository connections i.e. with same naming conventions manually
    2. Go to Dev. Server work repository -> File Tab -> Click on Export work repository (save it in a folder)
    3. After exporting, you can view the xml files in the folders.
    4. Now, Open the Prod. server and make sure you already replicated mas. rep. details.
    5. Now, right click on model and import source model in synonym mode insert_update (select source model from the folder where your xml file located)
    6. Similarily, import again target then Project.
    Now, check. It should work.
    Thank you.

  • HT1386 Can I move music from one apple account to another?

    Can I move music from one apple account to another?

    Typically not.  Consider the case where you used an Apple account (call it A1) to purchase songs from iTunes.  Now you are interested in moving your music to account A2.  Well A2 does not own the music - A1 does.  So that's a problem.

  • How do I move music from one apple ID to another

    How do I move music from one apple ID to another?

    If you want to change your iCloud ID to another existing ID you'll have to delete the account, create a new account with the other ID, and migrate your data (including the calendar) to the new account.  To do this, first go to Settings>iCloud on your iPad and turn all data you are syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.  When prompted choose to keep the data on your iPad.  After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (Note, this will delete the account from your iPad but not from iCloud.  The account will remain in iCloud if anyone else chooses to remain signed into it an continue to use it.)  Next, set up the new iCloud account using your new ID, then turn syncing for your data (contacts, etc.) back to On.*  When prompted, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to your new account.
    * If you only want to upload the calendar, only turn Calendar to On; but I'm assuming you will be the owner and want this to be your iCloud account on your iPad with all your data, and then your can share the calendar with others and administrate it.
