Movie to large to download
I purchased a TV Show form itumes and when I went to download it, it took forever. We are talking days! I wrote to itunes and got the standard line. I called my ISP to find out that I have a what is called "FAP" Fair Access Policy. I can download up to 350 meg at one time. Cool, according to itumes a TV show is 200 meg. My shows are 475 to 510 meg. My ISP suggested to pause the download and then finish it in an hour or so. This is a good idea except when I pause/stop the itunes download it restarts at the beggining, all over again. Can you change the quality of video or split the file to download it?
i have kind the same problem i am trying for almost a week to download the macworld presentation and when it gets to the finish it simply freezes out and i can only stop itunes via the ctrlaltdelete in windows.everything fine till here,but when i start it again the whole download just start all over again.it's freekin crazy cause i can't even delete the download

What is happening to all the movie artwork since I downloaded iTunes 11? All the art work is missing. They down even show up on my apple TV anymore. This is frustrating !!!!!
Well, all my PAID, bought on iTunes movie poster art is now missing as well in iTunes 11.1.2. My largeish personal movie collection, wherein I hunted down the poster art and manually added it... all still work. Further, I note, in moving one of my processed films between Macs, the cover art is embedded in the H.264 movie file itself. It cannot go away. As a test of this, I transferred one of my files to a PC notebook of a friend, and even iTunes on the PC sees the cover art fine.
This tells us, code wise, movies from the iTunes Store do not have embedded, rather linked poster art assets, and thus, the link within iTunes between movie and poster art has been severed in this release. This is why an incremental update to iTunes can magically restore all the missing cover art.
A note to Apple Programmers Imagine were I Steve Jobs telling you this. (Oh, I am THAT guy who caused a rewrite of the Apple Store. Remember THAT?) Here is the permanent fix to cover art issues: In a hidden, locked (after edit) Unix file stored safely somewhere, you just have iTunes use an OUTBOARD FILE which simply contains the link data for the art. THEN, when ANY new version of iTunes comes along, it just reads that little file, and NO USER is ever left without art. The file is opened and modified as needed, and just locked up after each change.
Further, the poster art is not searchable by name on your computer if you wanted to do a manual add to permanently fix the problem.
From experience, I can tell you manually adding movie poster art, which iTunes then embeds, is painfully slow even on a fast machine. That is because a huge file must be rewritten. This is why Apple may have reticence - keeping user experience positive.
Further, Apple may be using a direct screen dump technology for the poster art, which puts a graphic onscreen without using further memory. Large collections could tank a lesser machine if this was not used.
Well, at least my movies look good in Apple TV. -
I'm trying to move things from the downloads folder into a folder that is over there on the left in the sidebar. Every time I try to move something, I get this message and then I have to give my password. I didn't have to do that previously and I sure don't want to do it now, either. I've checked and checked and cannot find where I would go to change this setting. Does anyone know where I should look?
The Apple Store erased my HD on Friday and I had to restore from Time Machine. my OS is Mavericks and I'm on a MacBook Pro.That has been like that since Firefox 3.0 was released in June 2008 - 7 major version releases thus far with it like that and the developers haven't changed it - so I wouldn't count on it.
When I want to save a duplicate bookmark, I just "grab" the website image in the Location Bar and drag it into the Bookmarks Sidebar, into the folder where I want it placed. On Windows and Linux, { Ctrl + B } opens the sidebar and then just drag. -
I have an iMac 27" and am trying to import some videos of a friends wedding into iMovie however one of the movies won't import. It doesn't say why or give any error message or codes.
All of the other movies on the card download with out a problem. The movie in question is not 'corrupt' as you can watch it in iMovie direct from the SD card but as soon as you try to import it, it just says 'error'. iIve tried moving the file to an external drive ( and other variations on this theme) then importing but have had no luck.
Can anyone please help me.The mystery remains....

I have now found some video converter software (Wondershare and iSkysoft) at a cost. Either will convert this file for me into .mp4. This I can then import into iMovie without any problems. I've checked this on the trial versions and it worked well but without paying am left with a giant watermark in the video
The mystery (which I still havent solved) is why did 20 other .mts files import fine and then this one not?
If you could point me in the direction of some free .mts converter software that would be the cherry on the cake.

In my Itunes account i have no hidden TV shows or Movies
I used to be able to view all cloud and downloaded content. I no longer can.There used to be option to show items that are in the cloud in your library, but I can't find where that now is (unless it's been removed). You should be able to see what items that you can re-download via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page (at the top right of that there should be a 'not on this computer' button)

I have a project in my Final Cut just about done. I want to add my slideshow as part ofthe project and burn it to DVD. Inmy slideshow, there are some stills from the movie clips and some downloadedfrom the internet but they all look blur when playback and even worse if Iapply Ken Burn to it. The entire DVD containing Quick Time movies (Final CutExpress project) and slideshow was done in iPhoto. The Final Cut project was rendered prior to export to QT, the slideshow was sent to iDVD withoutrendering. The slideshow with most of the pictures from my still camera incombination with stills from movie clips and some downloaded from the Internet.After burning, the movie playback is perfect but the slideshow is not. The slideshow containing 3 differentkinds of pictures; those from my still camera looks OK; the stills from themovie clips and from the Internet are not. I don’t have much knowledge in this game, but I think NTSCwith frame size 720x480, and the downloaded picture Item Property shows most ofthem are between 400 to 500 x 300 to 600, may be both of them are not suitablefor TV screen while the stills from my still camera looks OK because they are2048x1536. I rented a movie off of iTunes for my iPhone 5. My 24 hours are up but it is still trying to download the movie in my store downloads. It will finish downloading and say error and start over. How do I fix this?
if u unplug then that could put ur device into recovery mode. i would wait

How do I view a movie I rented and downloaded to my computer on my apple TV. The ATV is not seeing the rented movie in my shared itunes library? I can't seem to transfer the rental to the ATV from the computer!

Thank you for responding to my problem so promptly. Frankly, I did not expect to hear from people so soon! The fact is that as soon as I posted the question, I was shown a number of similar queries and managed to find the answer. I have to say it's not intuitive! I have an apple TV original version. Apparently I had the ATV on streaming and not syncing. Streaming does not allow you to stream a rental from your computer whereas you can sync and transfer the rental from the computer!

Could you confirm your "image Capture" settings? How did you set the "Import to" pop-up?
Make sure you import to a folder on your Desktop, and not into iPhoto.
This way you can be sure, that no problem with the iPhoto library will interfere.
Once you have the image files in a folder on the Desktop, test them by opening them and then import them to iPhoto.
Is there a problem with posting answers for you? I notice, you keep creating new discussions for follow-up questions and answers. That makes it hard see all answers in context.
If the "Reply" button is not working, close the Browser and sign in again. The software has a lot of problems right now.

Movie won't finish downloading and won't go away!
My daughter started a download of a movie and was planning on renting it for a single showing. The movie has never finished downloading and everytime my ITunes syncs up when I start the computer, the downloading resumes and then I get an error message. I really don't want this movie anymore and I have tried to delete it, but it always seems to come back. How do I kill it once and for all.
Try reset your iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo.

my rental download shows error. it happened once on my movie purchase, and twice on my season tv episode. this time it's a rented movie but i cant download it completely cus of the error... pls help

Apple TV required a reload of a movie that was already downloaded.
I rented a movie through iTunes and it said that I had 30 days to watch it after finished downloading it. My Apple TV connects through WiFi so the HD movie took hours to download. Now that I'm ready to watch it 3 days later and pressed Play, it said that the movie is being loaded AGAIN and will take the same amount of time. Is there something wrong with my device?
Forgot to say that if you are on a very slow connection it can be better to download yo iTunes and/or adjust quality from 1080p to 720p or SD (appleTV settings for iTunes store) - the rentals are the same size as purchases in iTunes store for these quality settings.
For near instant streaming ou need:
2.5Mbps for SD
6 Mbps for 720p HD
8 Mbps for 1080p HD
If you download to iTunes the rental is available once FULLY downloaded for 30 days to start watching (with 24-48 hours to watch once started depending on where you live).
On AppleTV with Home Sharing enabled and itunes with Home Sharing enabled and itu es running on local network you can then stream locally from itunes under:
Computers > iTunes Library Name > Rentals
The Rentals row only shows when there's a rental in itunes.

Bought a movie but it wont download?
ok so i bought a movie and it started downloading then i exited itunes. and i window came up that said if u exit ull have to resume ur download later so i hit quit then i loded it back up latter and its not there any where. to i have to purches again? and if so will it charge me for 2 movies???
Try going to Store > Check for Purchases in the menu bar.

With the new download previous purchases on ITunes, you can download all of your music, TV Shows, etc. Why cant you download movies that you have downloaded? I had a external hard drive that crashed and it had approx 20 movies that I paid for and downloaded off of ITurnes Why cant i download those?
Music / TV Shows / Apps / Books.
Movies are not included.
