Movie Too Long Message

I wanted to create a single dvd of a home movie I created in iMovie that is about 1 hour long. When I brought it into iDVD5 I got the error that "the duration of your project is too long" or something similar.
Is there a time length I should be shooting for?

elect best quality over best performance for one hour or more

Your coding mask is exceeding the limit of 24 characters(including special characters). Reduce some characters to make it 24 or less then 24.

  • Movie too long!!!

    hi!
i've just finished a nice movie about my grandma with imovie HD, then i've exported it to idvd 5, and the movie is 6,3 GB large, so idvd tells me I won't be able to burn it. If try to delete the chapter selection menus in iDvd, the whole is still 6.2 GB large.
I've read in others messages that a dvd could contain 2 hours of film, and mine is about 1 hour 33 long. And i've set idvd on Best Performance instead of best quality, and also deleted the idvd prefs, but nothing works!!!!
    please help!
    thanks

Same thing happened to me last week. I usually drop my .iMovieProject files on top of an iDVD window (since that's recommended in various posts here). But last time, when I tried to burn a 1.5 hour movie from iDVD, it hanged on the final stage, even when I left it overnight. So then I tried sending it to iDVD direct from iMovie (via the share menu). When I did that I got the error message that my movie was too long, so I then knew what the problem was.
Anyway, in my case it was three movies that I was using in the scene menus. When I changed them to still pictures the size dropped considerably. The movies were short clips, but they obviously took up valuable gigs.
Don't know if that's your problem, but thought I'd share it.
    Cheers and good luck.

  • Sort key too long message from view

has anyone come accross the message "sort key too long" when
selecting from a view, and if so what causes it ?

It is also not working for:
    SELECT COUNT(*)
    FROM common_list_view_test
WHERE pro_id = 2Please tell me what i have to do?
I can't rewrite common_list_view_test as i do not have enough priviledged to change its code, but this view is a lot complicated.
But then why it works for one value and not for another one?
    Please help.

  • Movie too long to burn in iDVD

I am converting old VHS tapes to DVD. Qaulity is not so important as the VHS was originally a transfer of old 8mm. I used a DV bridge and set the tape to run. iMovie imported 19 clips totalling 2 hours and 58 minutes. I have created 6 Chapters for iDVD, but when I import this into iDVD it is too long to burn. What is the maximum time an iDVD movie can hold, and how do I split my iMovie project up into short enough clips without losing continuity in iDVD?

    Hi Ian Sr:
    Welcome to discussions
A DVD-R disc can hold about 4.7 GB. This allows up to 120 minutes of high-quality video to fit on a DVD.
    How to split it up?

  • Movie too long to load

I have some movies that are like slide shows with lots of
pictures. Some take too long to load for peeps who don't have my
fast uploading capability. Do I make another scene and calll it up
somehow or do I use a on enter frame play movie 2 of some sort and
what action script do I need for the best solution.. An example is
at - where I would want to split the flash movie into two sections
without having the viewer click any buttons to load the second part
of the movie. This example movie isn't too bad - but I am working
on one that has more pictures then the rest and it will just take
too long to load... what is the best method to accomplish this?

But they don't pass through the computer.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first.

    Hi Andy,
The Open SSH FAQ entry on this has shrunk but is still on point: OpenSSH FAQ: 2.9 - sftp/scp fails at connection, but ssh is OK. Your shell startup scripts produce output when you login even when the login is non-interactive. I ran afoul of this when I invoked the "fortune" utility as the shell started up. Before your startup scripts produce output, they must test to make sure that the shell is involved in an interactive session.

  • EKPO-NETPR value too long - message 00089

    Hi there
An EKPO-NETPR entry is restricted to 13 digits - in most cases this is 11 digits, and then 2 for the decimal points.  I know that this has been a problem in countries like Zimbabwe, where the value of the Zim dollar is so low.    I know that you can change code, but this is not supported by SAP. Does anyone have a work around for this problem?
    Thanks and regards
    Roz

I know - It's all from price field length not only in purchase order but when MAP recalculation:
    SAPLMBGB / LMBGBFST:
    Form Wert_Simulieren
    preis = w-salk3 * w-peinh * 1000 / w-lbkum.
    if preis > maximum_gld or preis < minimum_gld.
      message e302 with 'WERT_SIMULIEREN' 'NEUER_PREIS'.**
    endif.
    neuer_preis = preis.
    Where maximum_gld = 9.9999999999000000E+10 = 99'999'999'999
No such a problem exist in amount fields:
    EKPO-NETPR is CURR(11,2) while EKPO-NETWR is CURR(13,2)
So It inexplicably to have possible 1'000 untis for 1'000'000 price for each but no 1 unit for price of 1'000'000'000 each.
This is a very realistic scenario. It is about buying one unit of assets under construction (AuC) for the 1 billion price in russian rubles and above (for winter olympic games http://sochi2014.com/en/ ).
    Parameters of purchase order:
    - PO quantinty is 1 PC (1 unit of AuC).
    - Net price is over 1 billion (1-10 billion really).
    - order currency is russian rubles (RUB).
    - home currency (CoCd) is ruble too (RUB).
Changing of home currency is not possible due to system is many years as going live.
Changing PO quantity - entering 1000 PC instead of 1 PC (with corresponding deduction of price) is not suitable too.
Changing the order currency to some equivalent of 1000 RUB is not working too because of MAP which is calculated in home currency. The same error is issued - M7302 "Field overflow in routine WERT_SIMULIEREN in field NEUER_PREIS".
I've tried to use subitems in PO but with no success.
Do you have any new ideas?

  • Too many movies-too long to publish

Ok, I am probably doing this all wrong so I think I need help. I have used Imovie and IDVD in the past to make a short DVD with about 10 videos on it. However now I am trying to transfer all our movies to DVD because my 3 yr old son really wants to watch them on our big tv and some of my family wants home videos. I have organized all the videos & clips into projects and if I am reading everything right I first have to prepare every project for sharing before I can use them in IDVD and burn them to a disk. Is this correct? Is there a faster way to prepare the movies because at this rate it takes 20 min to prepare each project and I think I have about 75-150 projects, so I wont be done preparing the projects til sometime next year Can anyone help me expedite this process????

    I use iMovie since vers2. Was a betatester for a while …
the presets in iM-b use h264 as export codec - which is not needed for furtherr processing AND is a time-consuming process, compared to the one I recommended.
cncstory asks for a fast workflow - mine is fastest.
It just copies the timeline - your harddrive limits the speed, no CPU time involved.

Has anyone had this issue with BI Publisher on Linux?

Thanks for the link. It looks like the sysadmins have throttled cups to low to allow large bitmapped print jobs:
    grep MaxRequestSize cupsd.conf
    # MaxRequestSize: controls the maximum size of HTTP requests and print files.
    MaxRequestSize 10M
I am trying to get a more reasonable size limit.

The linux sysadmins set the cups max_request_size at 10 MB, which was causing this error. Once the restriction was lifted, the reports ran without error.

How do I export my iMovie '11 video and burn it to a DVD? I've tried 'Share' - 'Media Browser', 'iDVD', and 'Export Movie' but always get an error message indicating that my movie is too long to publish. Thoughts? Additionally, what does 'File' 'Finalize Project' do?

Instead of Share to Media Browser, what happens if you try Share Menu > Export Movie... (choose Large size) and save it to the Desktop?
If that fails try Share Menu > Export using QuickTime...
Then pick Movie to QuickTime Movie, then click on Options... which is just to the right of Export
Under the Video section click on Settings...
Then in the pulldown menu at the top, titled Compression Type: Choose Apple Intermediate Codec. Then click OK. And click OK again, and save it to the desktop. Once the .mov file is created, you can import that into iDVD and most likely it will work in Wondershare Creator if you prefer to use that instead.
