Movie trailer page

Hello!
Has anyone used the new movie trailer page? I seems to be annoyingly slow to play the trailers. Prior to IOS5 the trailers would play almost immediately, now when I attempt to view a trailer it chews on it for a while and then either plays and stops to buffer several times or times out altogether saying I am not connected to the internet. all other connections work fine (netflix, you tube etc..) its particularly slow on the Avenger trailer

Just to save any more brain pain... I got it! Somehow (?) the quicktime object was turned off in 'add-ons'
No idea how I came across it but all is now sorted

Apple Movie trailer download doesn't work in Lion

Has anyone have this problem. When I'm on the Apple movie trailer site, I select the trailer I want to see. Once the movie page loads, there is a roll bar to either select watch now or download the trailer at higher resolutions on my computer. I normally select the 720p versions and quicktime pops up and starts downloading the trailer. Since I've updated to LION, this doesn't happen anymore. Any solutions?

I think I've solved the problem. It's turning on the extensions to start the ClickToPlugin (2.3.2). Part of the ClicktoFlash extension group. Once I turned disabled ClicktoPlugin, everything worked. SO BE WARNED!

Is there not an app similar to the iTunes movie trailer app for the mac? i perviously owned a macbook pro and had a built-in app for movie trailers this was one of my favourite parts of the mac system.

i am trning to find the movie trailer app that was built in on my late model macbook pro. if this isnt still an option, i would like to know my other options.

There is a way to see (in small window) short bits and parts of video movies, where they exist, in the iTunes application from the store page in there. My older Mac with earlier version of iTunes lets me browse Music, Movies, TV stores, from the sections on the iTunes application; years ago there was more direct content. They used to have a site page for some of those clips... I haven't looked lately.

If you browse the items for sale/rent, a few have a tiny triangle on them and this opens the little window where a preview runs. A few actual movies will have an option to see a preview or trailer-like video in a similar small window that opens up over the store screen.
The older iTunes application in earlier Mac systems had various other features. In order to view movie trailer kinds of content streamed from the internet, you may have to look into a third party application or a web page.
There may be a list of applications included with certain models of Mac portables
and if you can find that name, that may be a talking point. The Store has lists of
what software may be included in the most recent Macs in each products info.

ITunes movie trailer links not working

For the last couple of weeks half of the movie trailers links don't work. I get the standard store busy message instread of the movie trailer's page when I click on the links.
Up until now I've never had a problem. It's always the same links. For example the link for African Cats (13 May) will not work, yet the Scientist (14 May) is fine.
Any ideas whats going on?

They've never worked for me and I have half a dozen different Macs, but I've never been able to use the Itunes Movie Trailer section, it simply doesn't work. I've tried numerous times over the past years. But no luck.
It's kind of bizarre but you would think, if you buy a brand new Mac and visit an Apple site in the latest version of Safari, it would work (an Apple computer and Apple site and an Apple browser). But sadly it never has. How this is possible, I can't understand.

SWF movie trailer stutters and stops on first loading...

Hi.
I am working on a site using the creative suite CS5. The site in question is www.dystopiafilm.com. My partner, a professor, is promoting his free film. On the second page, we will be using a streaming service, Streamhoster, to show the whole film or the various individual chapters in separate pop up windows.
But on the first page, the index page, we would like the movie trailer (less than 2 minutes) to start playing immediately when the user gets to the web page--it is a very dramatic trailer. The second time a user plays the trailer, it plays smoothly, but of course, the dramatic effect has been damaged. Does anyone know how we could make the swf play more smoothly the first time through? I understand that if we use Streamhoster for the streaming for the first page trailer, we'd have to have a javascript pop up window, but I would much rather the trailer div stay embedded in the web page for aesthetic effect.
Help, anyone? I'm an amateur at this web creation business--just starting learning 6 months ago.

Movie trailer or any other links in the quicktime player does not work

When I click on the movie trailer/Hot picks/Quick picks links on the player interface nothing happens. When I move the Mouse it changes to a hand showing the link is clickable.
Also when I click on the "Quicktime Website" or the "Quicktime Player Help" from the Help Menu, nothing happens.
When I go to any apple website and clicks on the sample trailer movies links, it is playing the trailer.
Anybody may please tell how to solve the problem.

How do I move a page to a new location within iBooks Author?

I've just started to play around with iBook Author, and I can't seem to discover how I can do something as basic as move a page to a new location within the chapter, or outside the chapter for that matter. It won't allow me to drag and drop it, and there is no menu selection for it. I also would like to be able to insert a new page at the current cursor location, and that doesn't work either.
Has anyone had any luck doing either of these tasks?

You can't. You can move entire chapters or sections but can't move individual pages because of the reflow capability. It is mentioned in the help and the FAQ I believe.

Now,we are getting a un-readable format error.
After selecting the destination we are getting the error.
and the file can't move.

Is there any way to prohibit certain movie categories or ratings from showing up I'm my iTunes movie home page

Hi, I'd like to know if there's a way to customize what shows up on my iTunes movie main page. When I go into iTunes, there are often categories that I have no interest in which show up on the initial page of Movies when I go into iTunes on my iPad (and I'm assuming this would be the same on my PC version).
Can I customize the categories to only show ones I'm interested in or prohibit certain categories? My kids use the iPad as well, so I don't want horror movie images etc slammed across the movie wall.
Also, I don't rent rated R movies, so it would be easier to just have those not show up at all. It doesn't appear there are any handy settings that allow me to customize what I see, but thought I'd ask in case I'm wrong.

You can't control which genres show, but you can control which films show by their age ratings. On your iPad you can use Settings > General > Restrictions > Movies (under the 'Allowed Content' heading). On your computer's iTunes you can use Edit > Preferences and use the Parental tab to set which films (and there is a similar setting for TV programmes) can be accessed (screenshot is from a Mac, but it should be similar on a PC) :

Header and trailer pages in report templates

I wonder how can i make header and trailer pages in the tamplate reports , so that the objects in the template header & footer report would be inherited to the generated reports. I use Oracle reports 6.0.8 and there is no header section, niether Trailer section in the Template Editor, I've read in the reports online help :"You can use the margin and body of the Header and Trailer sections to create a Header and Trailer page as in earlier releases. In future releases, you will be able to add and delete sections.", is there any method i can use to make header&trailer pages in the template.

fix: It is not possible to have a HEADER/TRAILER section in a Reports Template Definition File (TDF). Templates do not need to have a HEADER/TRAILER section, infact there is no sectioning in a template. They just define the visual layout when applied against a report section.

Cannot move the pages from one document to another

I cannot move the pages from one document to another, abobe gets crashed. I am not sure but I think this was happening when I try to copy or move the threaded content. How to resolve this, this is happening in both CS4 and CS5. Can anyone help me?

2. Using Move Pages from the Pages panel menu in doc1, moving 1st two pages to doc2

Destination : After page 1

1. copy the page file to another directory /public_html/mydirectory.
2. modify the nevigation-rule in the faces-config.xml file so that the nevigation-rule
point to the file in the new directory.
But when run the page, there is an FacesException: Cannt instantiate backing_bean.

besides moving the file to the new directory, i'd advise you to find the name of your page in every file of your application (ultraedit does this very well) and append the directory wherever it appears otherwise you'd probably miss a reference and have a problem like you have.

Why won't movie trailer files open in Quicktime

Each time I try to open a movie trailer file in my Quick time pro I see a down load window with a small X box at the top left hand of the window.
Why won't these files open. When I go to the same files in Itune Store I have no difficulty downloading and playing

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago, but nobody gave me a reply. I don't know if it helps in your case, but I eventually found out it was my firewall blocking the download.
I could view SD trailers but not the HD ones for some reason.
