I'm trying to make a movie with photo's and short video clips together. And then burn on a DVD, what is the easiest way to do this ?

You'll need to go through the iMovie tutorials if you've never used the program before, but a quick start:
Open iMovie, click on the little camera icon to the right and it will show your photos in iPhoto. Grab the photos you want and drag them over to the project window.
The video files you've uploaded from your camera will be in the Event Library, which is below the project window. Click on any of those you want, and it will highlight a 4-second clip. Grab the ends of the box and drag them to get the footage you want -- then drag the clip to the project window.
Rearrange them as desired. You can shorten or lengthen the duration of the photos.

I am creating a slide show of pictures for my friends wedding. I normally create the slide show in iphoto then export to imovie then export to idvd to burn. I want to create it more custom this time. I am attempting to put over 100 photos in imovie then export that to idvd. Is this the easiest way to do this?

Making slide shows in iMovie is not the easiest way, but in my humble opinion, the best way. It takes more work to use iMovie because you are customizing and doing everything manually: adding and editing music, putting in titles, effects, and transitions. But, the end result can be very satisying because it is your own creation. And you can do things that are not just cookie cutter automatic settings. You can still use iPhoto to create some sections of your iMovie slide show, by using the iPhoto File menu>export to export your iPhoto portion of the slideshow to your desktop as a Quicktime movie, and then dragging that movie into your iMovie project. So you get the best of both worlds.
When you finish your iMovie slideshow, a good way to get it into iDVD for burning is to close your iMovie project and then drag the project's iMovie icon (the one with the star on it) into the edge of menu of your iDVD project. (Don't drag it into the middle of the menu, because it will become a menu background or fall into a drop zone. ) If you decide instead to move your slide show into iMovie by using the Share feature, be sure NOT to let iMovie render the photos when the window pops up to prompt you. Say no by selecting the Proceed Anyway option. iDVD will render your photos and it does a much better job of it.

Creating Quick Time Movie with Photos' Titles?

When exporting an album to a Quick Time MOV file is there any way to export the titles for photos too? If not, is there a way to create a "universal" slide show that plays on all OS's with titles?

What is the ultimate destination of this slideshow? If it's for a DVD project post back as there are other steps to take to make sure the titles display on screen. Or you can use a 3rd party slideshow application that gives you more flexibility as to where the titles are placed. PhotoPresenter is one (very inexpensive) and has over 20 animated themes as well.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Per your description, this should not be a problem from within iMovie '08. Adding slideshows created in iPhoto (contain "Tween" tracks that iMovie '08 doesn't like) or dropping too many photos on top of a single video clip (iMovie '08 can be touchy about initial placement of dropped photos) can, however, create potential problems.

How to convert Sony camcorder 1080i AIC .mov files to work with Photos app?

I have a Sony SDR-HD10 camcorder from 2008. It records in 1080i format, and I exported to .mov using the Apple Intermediate Codec, Linear PCM, Timecode format, 1920x1080; Color Profile HD (1-1-1); 2 channel audio.
I have 121 files totaling 105GB. These files all play fine in iMovie. BUT - when I open them in Quicktime X for Yosemite, it converts them into a file that is about twice the space on the drive. The resulting file is Apple ProRes 422, Linear PCM, Timecode, 1888x1062. It also resets the created and edited date/time.
I looked at each video and the resulting quality is about the same.
How can I convert these files into something that Photos will like, but not double in size?
Also, I should point out that I'm not certain I should be using Photos for movies. I used to use iPhoto for pictures, and iMovie for movies, but hardly ever cared to edit videos and thought iMovie was too bulky and confusing for general playback. With Photos, it will upload everything to the cloud (and I'm paying for it), so i can use Photos as my canonical source for all movies and pictures. I have iTunes Match, and my email is hosted by Google, so I'm getting closer to having everything in the cloud. so far, i haven't gone all in with Dropbox for documents, probably because I'm too paranoid about corruption on a remote device like that if there is any concurrent access.

Check out the export settings from iMovie. Your exporting in a very high grade format used for editing, you want a delivery format. Ask on the iMovie forum for more.

HT4528 With IOS 7 I had to move my photos and videos off to a backup to install the IOS. When they moved back to the phone during a sync I have no way to delete them. The trashcan stays grayed out and the usage page doesn't give me a delete option.

I got the message that IOS 7 was ready to download. I wish I had read the reviews on it first. I had to move my photos and videos off the phone to free up memory space for the install. I was still able to see the phone with a file browser and grabbed the photos and videos and stored them in a directory on my hard drive. Meanwhile my itunes updated too. So with my files moved and deleted from the phone I made a backup of the phone. I installed the ios 7. When I synced the itunes moved my backup directories back to the phone. I can't figure out how to remove them from the phone. Under photos they have installed themselves with the names iphone09282013 and videos directories. When I access them I don't get a delete option. The trashcan is greyed out. The settings usage page no longer gives me the swipe delete function. How do I remove these files to free up space now that I have them saved to my computer?

Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

Thanks for that, on the sync via iTunes, when my iphone is connected to iTunes via USB my photos tab says my iphone but I can never see any pics there. If I press Sync it still doesn't show anything.
Correction from my original post, it only comes up with PhotoStream on my computer when I'm connected via USB.

The movement you see on photos in iMovie is most likely the Ken Burns motion effect, which you can modify or turn off.

I'll assume PSE12 or PSE11:
First way : use the 'Folders' view. In the left panel, you are seeing the drives and folder trees. Click on the folder you want to move with its own subfolders, and drag and drop to the new drive. Be patient while all files are written to the new drive.
Second way : to move selected items in the browsing space, use the menu file / move.

As to iPhoto
Connect the two Macs together (network, firewire target mode, etc) or use an external hard drive formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old Mac to the pictures folder of the new Mac - launch iPhoto on the new mac and it will open the library and convert it as needed and you will be ready move forward.

Problem with streaming movies and photos

I just purchased an Apple TV and managed to stream music from my Vista laptop with iTunes 8 to the ATV with no problems.
However, I cannot get my MP4 video files from my iTunes to show up in the AppleTV. When trying to sync I got the message that there is no rented movies to be sync'ed.
For photos, I cannot find an option as instructed in the Apple FAQ to share the photos from iTunes. So as of now I have music but no streaming of movies nor photos.
May I ask how others with iTunes 8 manage to stream photos and non rented videos?

Actually it was sync'ing, I now found out how configure it to streaming but it is still not find the video.
However I have a bigger problem, this box is mainly used for music streaming and I just found out that it is refusing to play Apple Lossless files, giving me the error "AppleTV cannot play the current song" when I try to access it the shared library.
However, I am able to play from iTunes using AppleTV as a remote speaker.
This is shocking as I bought the AppleTV mainly to play my lossless music.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

There are multiple ways. I am not at my Lion machine at the moment, so I am not sure I can remember them all, but here is one: Click on the "Details" button in the upper right corner of the message. If there are image attachments, the drop down menu should appear.
Or, try right click on the image. I think I saw "Add to iPhoto" in the contextual menu.
