Movie won't download to iPod Touch

I have a movie in my iTunes account but when I connect my iPod Touch it doesn't appear as an option to sync. I also have an App which said it could work with the iPod Touch but it also is unavailable for sync.
Both of these were available to sync and downloaded perfectly to my iPhone.
Can I get them onto my iPod Touch?

For the app is it likely because:
- The app is not compatible with model iPod and its iOS.
- You have a Restriction on that prevents installing/syncing the app. Settings>general>Restrictions.

Some TV shows I bought (from itunes store) for ipod video won't sinc with ipod touch 32g. Also, some .mov files (I made) won't transfer to touch. I've tried every logical thing I can think of to make this work but to no avail. Does Apple have a fix for this?

I'm not trying to sound bad, but did you make sure you have the option checked in iTunes to sync movies/videos? I had this same "problem" and freaked out for a good hour before I noticed the default in itunes is set to NOT sync anything but music. Double check that you have the box checked to sync videos and that the files are in itunes.

Movies won't play on ipod touch.

I tried to download 'Pirates of the caribbean: The curse of the black pearl' on itunes and my dad shut down the computer prior to it's completion. Somehow I managed to retrive the video and finished the download.
However, when I placed the movie onto my ipod touch and tried to play it a window popped up saying 'This movie could not be played'. I asked around, and discovered that the video was in a protected mode and that I needed to change the 'Kind' for it to play. I downloaded TuneBite in the hope that they would fix my problem, but they only converted 60 seconds of the movie before it was demanded that I pay at least $50.
It feels like everything that could have gone wrong did and I am at the very end of what I assure you is a short fuse. How can i make the movie work? I DO NOT WANT TO PAY ANYTHING!

You downloaded the movie from the iTunes store? Then you already paid for it and can download it again. You can report the download problem in iTunes and they should allow the redownload.
If you downloaded it from elsewhere (and it is -- excuse the pun -- pirated), then we cannot tell you of the many software programs to convert it for iPod touch.

I switched from a pc to a mac mini and now I cannot watch the movies I had purchased from itunes. I can see them on my computer, but they won't download to the ipod. I also just got a new ipod if that makes a difference or will help my situation in any way..

Whatever they come in when I download them from itunes. If you tell me how, I will look and see what they are. Thanks.

Movie won't download to ipod

I have an iPod touch with 4.2.1 software. I have another movie on here, but I bought that one off of itunes.
When I first open iTunes I get a message saying
"iTunes.exe has been set to run in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows. For best results, turn off compatibility mode for itunes before you open it."
and also
"iTunes has detected that it is not the default player for audio files. Would you like to go to the default programs control panel to fix this?"
The error message that appears when I finish syncing my iPod is
"Grandma's Boy was not copied to the iPod "iPod touch" because it cannot be played on this iPod."
I restored the ipod and synced everything again, but still got the same message that it could not be played on this ipod..

Have you tried the Create iPod or iPhone Version in the Advanced tab of iTunes? The format may not be compatible with the iPod and the "creation" may fix that problem.

Mail won't download on ipod touch

My sister-in-law is able to log into her e-mail and see the heading of the messages, but when she clicks on them it says "messages not downloaded from server." What would cause this?

Same incoming email/Mail symptoms here on my (2nd gen, I think?) 8GB ipod touch, ever since I upgraded to iOS 4.1.
I can see the email and its opening lines in the inbox, but when I try to read individual emails, the body is always blank, nothing displays. The mail account has always been set up as a POP account.
Something with the upgrade, I'm assuming?

Movies downloaded to iPod touch won't play on the computer when transferred over.

The movies I bought from an iPod touch , and then transferred to my computer using iTunes will not play. They give error code 2401 on QuickTime an say stuff like invalid codec, invalid sample description, etc. I'm very upset because I paid for these movies and I should be able to watch them! I've tried recouping them to my computer but nothing so far has worked. Pleeeease help me.

Have you converted the movie file to the correct Extention to play on the PC?
Go to the info panel of the file in iTunes and make sure it ends in ".mov", ".m4v", or ".mp4" those are playable in QuickTime Player.

Okay. I've tried syncing it first, resetting it first, downloading the firmware, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, I've checked my connections and ports and everything, run all kinds of diagnostics, and nothing is working. Every time it says it's backing it up, my iPod resets and then it's back to square one. I'm going to restore it and see if that helps. What a pain in the butt, especially since it wouldn't back it up.... >.<

If you originally downloaded it to a computer, yes. If you originally downloaded it to an iOS device, probably not; if you want to try anyway, use the Transfer Purchases function in iTunes.

Just start with verifying the Apple Mobile Device Support is up and working, Just follow the steps here:

After Stopping it and Restarting and it is still not reconizing your device Then start uninstalling
Start with: Itunes, Quicktime, Bonjour, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device.
I had an issue uninstalling Apple Software Update, and was unable to get it off my computer.
But after all that download and reinstall itunes.
After doing all that i was able to get mine to show up in itunes

Certain purchased songs won't download to ipod??

I've had this problem for quite a while. I plug the ipod in and it never downloads the certain songs. I have tried unchecking them and connecting the ipod then checking them back and connecting it again and it will say that it's copying the songs but they're still not on my ipod. Every once in a while it will say ERROR: one or more songs could not be downloaded to ipod touch. They will download to my ipod shuffle but not my ipod touch. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

First step: when you get that Error message in iTunes, there's a disclosure triangle that expands the dialog box and explains exactly why each song failed to sync. What does it say?

Download issues : iPod Touch to Vers 3.1.1

I Have a IPod Touch 8GB on Version 2.2. I have just upgraded to ITunes on my PC to Vers 9.0.1 & am trying to download Apple iPod Touch Vers 3.1.1. I have purchased the software but it does not appear to want to download onto my PC. It says it should take up to 30 Minutes to download and after only a few seconds, i get a message to say it is downloading and click done. However it is not downloading. I've disabled the firewall etc and still no joy! Under the iPod Summary, it says a newer version (3.1.1) is available for download, but when i click on update, a message box comes up saying that i am not connected to the internet when i clearly am. This also happens when i click on the, ''restore'' button. Any suggestions would be greatly received. Thanks in advance.

I just installed itunes version 10.5.2.11, and now it won't recognize my ipod touch 4th gen. Running on windows 7, very fast desktop. Previously no prolems with itunes or the ipod. The computer does recognize the ipod and names it correctly in My Computer. Any suggestions to wake up itunes and discover the ipod?
