Movie won't play on my iPad that I just bought off iTunes
I downloaded a movie from iTunes to my iPad and it shows up but won't play it has a little cloud with an arrow when I click it it says I can't download it again for 90 days with this same ID? When I push the play button it starts to load to play then it stops and returns to the previous screen help please,,,,
Try closing the Videos app completely and see if it works when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Videos app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Videos app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't fix it then try is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I too have the same problem. The audio drop out of sync in about 5 sec in not uncommon for the audio to be 30+ sec behind video. Apple needs to fix this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its a joke, my iphone is all messed up after the last update as well. at one time not to long ago apple products and software were top rated, not so much any more, more and more problems are showing up and apple is unwilling or unalbe to fix the many issues. Apple needs to fix the audio sync problem, it not the computer hardware or other software it ITUNES!!!!, there is no workaround other then hitting pause and hitting pause and hitting pause to temp fix the problem.

Phone is not recognizing music that wasn't bought off iTunes
My iPhone 6 128 GB will not recognize any songs that were not bought off iTunes, such as mixtapes, and it's starting to really frustrate me. Can somebody tell me why this is happening and how to fix it? Thanks!

I have tried loading 3 different cds that I recently purchased into Itunes. I click the import cd button and Itunes goes through the motion of copying and importing the cds, but the songs are not in my music library. I have searched everywhere to find where these cds might be, but to no avail. Could really use some help here. Never used to have this problem.
Are they in the relevant artist & album folders when you look via Windows Explorer. If so something may have gone wrong with the index of the Music playlist. Download the current iTunes Free Single of the Week. I know it sounds odd, but it should fix the problem.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and delete the hidden file sentinel from inside the main iTunes folder, then start iTunes again. It should run a consistency check when it starts up.

My rental won't play on the computer that I just purchased it with
First off, I bought the rental. I usually start watching them while it downloads, which has always been fine. Tonight I was about to do the same when it kept on telling me that it's authorised on another computer, but I clearly purchased it on this. Then I decided a good old restart might do something, and when I turned it back on it downloads, but when I try and play it doesn't. Any ideas on where I'm going wrong?

I am trying to downloadapps onto the iPad we just purchased, and it keeps telling me that I need to authorize my computer. I go ahead and authorize by going into iTunes/store/authorize computer, I verify the information that is given. I go back and try to redownload the apps and I get the same exact message, this computer is not authorized for this device. What am I doing wrong?
I have been trying to work through this problem by myself and have so far downloaded the most current version of iTunes. Frome there when it tells me I have to authorize this computer, I had to not put in the iPad information, I had to authorize with my current iTunes information, and any iPad or iPod, iPhone information. I have several people in the family that have different accounts, so I had to authorize each and every individual account because I didnt know which apps or music was purchased under which user. The iBook is going on ten years old, so if the hard drive hasn't been replaced, that may be necessary (if not now, soon). A hard drive usually lasts from three to five years.
An iBook G3 (Dual USB) uses an original AirPort Card (with the 802.11b standard). You need to make sure that your router (or wireless modem) will handle that standard if you want the internal card.
The reason it's telling you that it's up to date is because you have the last version of Mac OS X 10.3 installed. If you want Tiger, you will have to buy the installation disc(s) for it. Does it have a Combo drive or a CD-ROM drive? The reason I ask is that Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) usually comes on DVD, so it's much easier to install on an iBook which has a Combo drive (which will read DVDs). -

my movie rental downloaded but it will not play. I rented a movie yesterday so I know that my laptop is capable. I can see images of each chapter but the movie won't play. Any idea?

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item. -
Can a time capsule store a movie from an external hard drive then allow that movie to be played on an iPad on the network?

You will probably also need filebrowser loaded on the ipad to find the files.
Is the ipad necessary btw.. ?? If you only want to play the file to your TV you can buy a WD Live TV.. unlike the Apple TV it is a media player.. and can play files of almost any format direct from the TC. -
iTunes rented movies won't play on my PC. "This movie required QuickTime which this version of iTunes doesn't include." So I downloaded QT 7 but movies still won't play. HELP Very frustrating.
Ok nw the rented film is on the iPad which won't play and when I looked at the Mac I was greeted with an error message saying that the film could nt be transferred because the file had already been transferred somewhere else! Thing is I can see it on theioad and the Mac still!
Obviously the film Kees checking where it as you can't watch it in two places at the same time. I can understand that but I knw it's not anywhere else.
The only thing I can think of is if when time machine backs it up it thinks it's being watched!

just a few weeks ago I watched on my new iMac 5k Retina a long-ago-downloaded movie (iTunes content, HD, Billy Joel. Live at Shea Stadium). I had no issues watching it on the new wonderful display just a few weeks ago!
Today I wanted to resume the video and got the error "The selected movie won’t play on your display. This movie can be played only on displays that support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection).".
Actually the movie plays for a few seconds and then the movie window gets black and the error message appears. Restarting iTunes does not help. Restarting the Mac also not.
How can this be fixed?
Additionally I get since I moved from my old iMac to the new one the iTunes error "Do you want the application “iTunes.app” to accept incoming network connections?" every time I start iTunes.

Selected movie won't play SOLVED
I had this problem trying to play a rented movie. Got the message The selected movie won't play on one of your connected displays. My problem was with a software which is made by INFOCUS for their projector. I removed it and now the movie plays even on the projector and without the software. I have seen that solution in this forum elsewhere.

Please note that to be able to play your purchased HD movies or videos, let us not forget some minor details. Ensure that your iTunes software is up-to-date. HD videos will only play if you have iTunes 10.6 or later as described in this article:
