Movies are not playing on my iPad 2.

I have been restarting it over and over and app is just showing up as a black screen. Any suggestions?

Try these steps and see if they help. Try them in this order.
Quit the videos app and restart. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
This little trick can work as well. Swipe to the right from your first home screen to get to the iPad Spotlight search. Type in the name of any of your movies in the field at the top. when the movie appears in the search - tap on it and it should hopefully start to play. Let it play for a minute or so - hit done - go back to videos app and see if all is OK.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Highlight the movie, go to iTunes menu ADVANCED and select create iPad and AppleTV version.

Quicktime movies are not playing in a particular website

Quicktime movies are not displaying on the catalogue pages of the Science Photo Library website - one url below - but they are displaying on their demo movie pages.
We're running Firefox 3.6.6 on XP Pro SP2 with the QT 7.6.6 plugin. The Library have tried this but say it's working for them; we have two machines here that can't see these catalogue movies.
When clicking one of the icons to launch a preview movie, the QT either shows a question mark, but which is unclickable, or is white. In the latter case you can click the playhead, but it doesn't start the movie. Also, if you right click these, you get the options you would see if you don't have QT Pro installed, ie. the Save options have 'Pro' in front of them. We do have Pro licenses.
We also have the VLC player and plugin installed. Disabling that in Firefox makes no difference though.

You probably need to contact Apple for support on QuickTime. And maybe the site's owner... This isn't likely to be a Firefox problem.

The movies and tv shows in your iTunes library on your computer can be transferred to your iPad via the iTunes sync/transfer process. This is selected under the Movies and TV Shows tabs for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes. After the movies and tv shows are transferred, they will be available in the Videos app under iOS 5.

HT204370 I downloaded 8 movies back in 2009. Now the movies are not playing and i cannot find the files for them. It shows that I purchased them but they will not play. How do I get them to play? This happened after updating my itunes.

Try deleting the entries from the Movies part of your library (i.e. where you are trying to play them) and see if you get the cloud symbol next to them for re-downloading in the Purchased link
As your screenshot shows your account id I've asked the hosts to remove it

Embedded sounds in my PDF are not playing on my iPad 3?

I have installed a PDF on my iPad 3, I can view the document but all embedded sounds bytes do not work. Is this a shortcoming of the Adobe Acrobat Reader 10.3 for iOS?

Adobe Reader on mobile devices is not as advanced as Reader for Windows or Macintosh. It doesn't support multimedia (video or sound).
I haven't found a free reader that does. You'll have to pay for a PDF reader. I suggest PDF Expert ($US9.99).

When you say tit only sees your music folder, are you saying it only sees your music folder or does it see other empty folders.

Ok, I was an old fool, there is indeed a setting on the Lumix LX5 camera which seems to allows both audio and video, although not AVC HD, the camera must be set to Motion JPEG and subsequently NOT to PICT Bridge, rather to PC for the output. Anyone who decides to purchase a Panasonic Lumix should be aware of this. The iPad 2 will display Lumix perfectly in 720p which is enough for the old fool. The Sony NEX5N at twice the cost will do 1080p, but on the iPad and our TV the difference I suspect will not be noticeable.

For all people struggling with connecting their iPad to their router, constantly getting 'Incorrect Password' even though you have entered the correct one - this may be your solution as it just resolved my issue.
In your router settings online (usually found at 198.168.1.1) change your security from WPA2 or WEP to WPA. For my iPad it for some reason only accepts WPA but now it is running without problems. Let me know if this helps.

Depending upon what country that you are in (films can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the film from your iPad and redownload it via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app (or the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes).
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download films, or if you have problems with the re-downloaded version, then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that film and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (it's been taking some people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

I am not sure if you really understand the issue at hand. Possibly that you are just scanning, not reading the whole text, or simply that you just want to close a thread with your last words or derail it for whatever strange reason. So far you have been more destructive than helpful, but again this could be ignorance at best.
