Movies in the iCloud

I have purchased a number of movies through iTunes over the last several years. For some reason, most of the movies in my account (i.e. Bugs Life, Shrek, Toy Story, etc.) all show as being available in iCloud to download to my other Mac devices.
However, two of my movies (Cars and Cars 2) are not showing as available in iCloud. Therefore, I can't seem to download them to my other Mac devices (namely my iMac) without purchasing them both again. I'm planning a family vacation with the children and I want to be able to show these two movies on the long family drive on my iMac.
Why is this? Why are these two movies not available in iCloud?

After exploring the various setting in iTunes for a while, I figured it out. I had to do two different things to get it to work.
#1 - Both of the Cars movies referenced were "hidden" when I looked in the account settings. No clue why you can even hide an app, movie, music, etc. Nonetheless, that was the first step.
#2 - iTunes > Preferences > Store > "Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases" needed to be checked.
That resolved my issue.

iCloud isn't going to export a XML doc with the iCloud data in it, it will repopulate the data in the apps though.

No movies in the cloud

Recently Apple has given access to Canada movies in the cloud as of yesterday I do not have access. Is this a temperary problem?

Do not buy movies thinking it will be in the clouds, it's misleading, your movies can disappear.
Apple is only lying to us with their partner movie industry. I bought lots of movies, to then loose them because they were pulled from the iTunes Store. People if you decide to buy make sure you have a hard drive where you can download, as you can see, there is no movie in the iCloud.

How to move GMail to iCloud

Any emails sent to your @gmail.com address will continue to come into the Gmail inbox. Each email address has its own InBox.

Are you in a country where films can be redownloaded - the page that you posted from should list countries and where the different content types can be redownloaded. But even if you, not all countries have agreed to allow their films be redownloaded, and there is no guarantee that a film (or any other item) will remain in the store, so you shouldn't rely on being able to redownload them. You also can't add films and/or tv programmes to the cloud, whether an item appears there depends upon your country, the film studio, and if it remains in the store.

Instead of removing the music from the cloud or the iTunes library why not shuffle your music using a Smart Playlist which excludes the holiday music, or tracks that are not checked. For example, use this very simple Smart Playlist:

Before the recent update and lay out of Itunes this didn't happen i just purchased a movie and downloaded it then synced it to my ipod and enjoyed it. You may need to download a lower resolution version of the movie in order for it to sync to your iPod.

i have 3900 songs stored in my itunes library on my laptop. I recently got an i phone 4S and there isn't enough storage on it to move my songs to the phone. I purchased 20gb of storage in the iCloud but can't find any instructions to move my library from the pc to the cloud so I can listen from the cloud via my iphone when I am on the go. It sounds like you purchased an iCloud storage upgrade because you want your music stored on iCloud. The iCloud storage upgrade provides more storage for Backup, Documents in the Cloud and Mail. iTunes Match will allow you to store your music on iCloud and access it from all of your devices. I have 3000 pdf files on my macbook. How do I move or copy them to the icloud?

I haven't found any native Apple solutions to this dilemma, but I believe that third-party developers will soon take up the slack and make iCloud into a much more flexible and full-featured solution. I also suspect that Apple will add more features and possibly a new version of iDisk, or something similar to it, before iDisk goes away next June.
As a good example of third-party developers coming to the table with solutions, the latest version of the iOS app GoodReader has been updated to use the iCloud sync features. You can open, store, and edit PDF files and they'll automatically sync with GoodReader on all other devices. Documents are stored in iCloud and will also sync with any Mac that is setup to sync with iCloud. The Mac will automatically have a folder where you can open synced files or add new files from your Mac. details of how to do this are in the GoodReader help files.
Note: I have no affiliation with GoodReader other than as a happy customer.

If you migrated your MobileMe account before 1 August you should have signed into System Preferences>iCloud with it, and you would be able to see your calendars, bookmarks and emails on the iCloud website. Is this the case? Did you sign into iCloud with your @me.com address?
If you did not migrate your MobileMe account you can no longer do so.
If you did migrate, did you do so from a full MobileMe account or from a Family Pack sub-account? the latter did not get the complimentary storage (because their iDisks were only 5GB anyway).
If you had a full MobileMe account, check on your Mac - System Preferences>iCloud - and see whether that shows the upgrade. If it doesn't, you probably need to contact Support: if you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the inititial period, you can contact them here:

You will need the serial number of the covered hardware.
If you are not covered by AppleCare, then - in common with other free email services - there is no free support (MobileMe Support is no longer available) and you may be asked to pay a fee: in this case you should ask them to deal with it without cost (and hope they agree).
Note that you haven't paid anything for your MobileMe storage since your first renewal date after 6 June 2011, and iCloud costs nothing unless you specifically choose to upgrade the storage. I will recommend you to get a Mobile Me account, it can sync multi devices like an iPod Touch / iPad / iPhone, of course, included your computer flawlessly.

If you not prefer to get a Mobile Me account, you can sync both devices by using computer.
First of all, make sure the iPod Touch have not been ever synced by other computer. Otherwise, all the notes and contacts in your iPod Touch will be replaced by your computer information. (or iTunes will ask you to merge all the info, some data lost may occur.)
Connect your iPod Touch to the computer, in the iTunes, your connected iPod Touch will be shown on the left column, select it, on the right hand side is showing your iPod Touch details. Then, select "Info" tab (on top), check "Sync Address Book Contacts" and "Sync notes" in the "Other" section. Then click "Sync"
Suppose the selected / checked option will be synced. After sync is complete, eject your iPod Touch, connect your iPad, do the same setting as you did for your iPod Touch, and sync it.

Thanks. I can change the forwarding settings in Gmail to be either POP or IMAP. That is quite simple. I just looked at those settings on the Gmail server and, to my surprise, both are enabled. In order for outlook client on my computer to receive IMAP emails I have to change the email account settings in my current outlook from POP to IMAP. I don't need to be using the Exchange version of Outlook to receive IMAP. I guess I'll do a little research tomorrow on Exchange so i can figure out what, if anything, it might do for me.
I glanced at the link you sent me and it looks like it might be very helpful - another project for tomorrow.
BTW: I hit "This Solved my Question" by accident. I meant only to "like' your response so you would get some benefit from the help you've given me so far. I hope I haven't discouraged others from taking a shot at helping me. I suspect there is more than one way to approach this and, as you know, my problem isn't really solved until I have what I need all set up and running smoothly.

Why are all my movies and tv shows from my library now on my ipad with the icloud icon? I have turned off all icloud related services. I have never used it. On top of that, my ipad now gets stuck on step 5 of the sync - waiting for changes to be applied and never finishes.

Hi, go in Settings, under Videos turn off "Show all videos" this will remove the purchased videos to be displayed in the Video app. The same can be done with the music.
As for Step 5, connect you iPad and on the summary Tab, uncheck
"Sync only checked songs and videos". Then wait, it takes a while but this made it work for me after many restore attempts.
