Movies not showing in the iphone section
Hello i have a win xp with the latest version of ITune and a Iphone latest update
My problem is that i have movies that are showing and playing in Itune in MPEG-4 but when i go to my iphone/video tab i see NO movies anywhere. The list is blank.
The rest is syncing fine!
Please help
AAC is not a video format for starters. It is an audio format.
What video compression format have you used? H.264 is the most common video format for iPhone.

App not showing on the iphone App Store
Hi all,
We just released ou iOS app on the App Sore from the state "Pending Developer Release" about 6 hours ago.
Its version 2 of an app that was only available on iPad, but this new version is built fo both iPad and iPhone.
The App Store on iPad has been showing the new version for about 2 hours, but the iPhone App Store doesnt yet show the app.
Its possible that propagation times are different for the different devices' stores? But we were just wondering if anyone has any experience with DPS apps released for iPhone and iPad?
We've looked for the app on the South African store and the USA store but its nowhere to be found. (its configured to be available on all countries' stores) The browser link below is our app - it states that the app is 'designed for both iPhone and iPad' and 'Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch' - so we believe our app itself isnt the problem.

thanks, Vauneenlooks like propagation for the ipad app store and the iphone app store are different. our app was on the ipad store after about 5 hours, iphone store took about 11 hours.
(this wasnt for approval, this was after we release it from 'pending developer release')

So normally when i download a ringtone it goes straight to tones, but this time it is in music. What should i do?
Yeah everything is gone for good. The apps won't be a problem. You can just redownload them. For the music find a program that copies the music from the iphone to the computer. Then add the files to itunes ans sync.

on my IMac the internal speakers have ceased working - in the sound preferences area only digital out sound is there no internal speakers to choose so unless I connect external speakers I have no sound

Sounds like the micro switch inside the output jack that switches the audio from internal to external is stuck on external. Try plugging a set of buds, headphones or digital Toslink adapter in and out a few times to see if it will unstick the micro switch. You also might try jiggling a tooth pick around inside the audio output jack to see if that unsticks it? If not then you'll need to make an appointment at your Local Apple Store or Apple Service Provider and have the jack serviced.

I just updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 7.1. The apps I had previously installed are not showing on the screen. They are located in App Store icon. How do I move the icons so they are showing on the screen.
You can move apps around in iOS 7 the same as iOS 6. Press an app icon until you see it wiggle; then drag it to where ever you want it to be. Drag it onto another app to create a folder with the two apps. Tap the Home button to stop the wiggle.

Hi all, I bought a copy of Leon on my iPad 2. Now that I've watched it I've deleted it, however it doesn't show in the purchased section of iTunes? Why not? If I want to watch again do I need to repurchase? Thanks!

Redownloading of movies is only available in the US at this time, even then not all movie studios are allowing their content to be redownloaded. -
i got a new lenovo desktop windows 8.1,installed itunes and synced my iphone 4 no problems. then i imported a cd of songs which showed up in recently added but not in main library ,therefore it did not sync to the iphone. how can i get new songs to appear in the main library and sync properly

johnCheck the songs are really not in the Music section of the library by clicking the magnifying glass in the search box and unticking Search Entire Library if it is ticked, then typing in the name of the album. If the tracks still don't show try closing iTunes and deleting a hidden file called sentinel from inside your iTunes folder. This should make iTunes run an integrity check on the database when you start it again. Make sure the tracks are checked before you try syncing again.

Movie playlist in iTunes is not showing up on iPhone after manually managing syncing and including movies from playlist.

But, one little thing to share:
"There's an option in settings for Playlists. It was set to Music only. Changed that to All then found the movie playlist under Movies by selecting Genre."
This is not to be done in iTunes in your computer; this is to be done at your apple TV under "setting". "audio video" "show playlist" "music only/all"
I am posting this here because I started chat mode with Apple support last night at midnight till 1:30, they didn't know what to do.
They called me back this morning at 10 am.
It's not 11:40 they finally know what I am talking about and showed me where to to find the "music only / all" toggle. My problem is now fixed;
all these time, they have in front of them a screen shot of your questions and answer but they don't know where to change it from music only to all.
So, I hope this will save the next victim a lot of time.

Downloaded iBooks on my Macbook Pro but when I tried to sync it on my iPhone, this appeared: "Are you sure you want to sync books? All existing songs, movies and TV shows on the iPhone “My iPhone” will be removed". Love the iBooks as well as music. I really don't want to loose my music. HELP!!!
From the message you are receiving, it sounds like you either, 1) haven't synced your iPhone with that computer before, 2) are using two different iTunes accounts, or 3) both. If you have purchased music or movies through your iPhone with a certain iTunes account and purchased books through iBooks on your MacBook through a different iTunes account then there is no having both on the phone.
Apple doesn't allow content from two different accounts on a device at the same time. Also if two "libraries" have been created, one on the iPhone and one on the Macbook then syncing will erase data that is not associated with that particular library.
If you are using the same iTunes account for both, then you should be able to redownload any purchased items (music, books, etc.) from iCloud, assuming you have set that up.

Assuming you're using Apple's Mail on your Mac, go to your Mac's mail Preferences (from Mail on the menu bar).
Click Accounts on top, then click your email account on the left.
Then click Advanced on the top.
Check "remove copy from server after retrieving a message" and set the line below it to "immediately".
That will do it. -
why are my movies not showing on my Mac Book, which is the computer that I used to purchase the movie, but showing on my IMAC at home...I am currently deployed so this ***** a bit. Also how do I keep this incedent from happending in the future?
No, this is not the case. I know where i purchased the movie and I also know movies cant be added to the cloud such as music, TV shows can. The instance happened during the dowload. I think that depending which computer is up and running and the bandwith allocated on either network, which ever computer that finishes first is the one that gets the movie. Just a thought. So next time I will ensure my IMAC is not running. I think that fixes it.

i live in the UAE and i dont have the face time app on my iphone 5 and it's not showing in the settings list as well only face time mentioned in the notification center , my friends in the same area are using face time normally any advice?
Doesn't matter. That store is likely selling illegit iphones, brought oin from somewhere else.
The fact remains the UAE government does not allow Facetime on iphones legitimately sold there. -
Hi all. I recently restore my old iphone 5 on my new 6. I'm having problems with bluetooth devices. The ones that were already paired with the old one are not showing in the list, and most of them(not all) are not working or pairing. I already restored network settings to no avail. Any ideas?
