Movies on iTunes store

I live in Holland and I just got 40 euros of gift certificates for Christmas, and I tried to load them onto the American iTunes (I am American), and it said it couldn't, and it worked on the Dutch site. But then I noticed that the Dutch site only has music and games and no movies. My question is when are the movies coming out? Because it the movies are on the American store, why not the dutch, they have iPod videos there as well. Thanks if you know anything about this!

Right now, you can only get movies and tv shows if you are in the U.S. or you have a bank account and address in the U.S. Or if you get a gift certificate that is from the U.S. you can access it that way. But if you use an out of the country bank, address or buy a non us gift certificate you are out of luck. What I mean by U.S. gift certificate is one that is purchased in the U.S. or over the net with a U.S. credit card drawn on a U.S. bank. Hope this helps, and sorry. I am an American as well and live in Mexico, and took me awhile to figure it out.

Now I would like to make it also on Itunes = Iphone....

Assuming it's in a supported format (which is likely), simply sync your iPad to iTunes on your computer. Make sure you have specified that you would like to sync movies on the "movies" tab on the top right of the iTunes display (when your iPad is plugged in and its row highlighted).

Can't browse music and movies in iTunes store

Out of the sudden, I'm not longer able to browse music o movies on iTunes store in iPad 2. The store works perfectly on my MacBook Pro (running Lion 10.7.2) and on iPod Toch, allowing me to browse (and purchase) music or movies using same Apple ID.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried closing the iTunes app completely and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with iTunes 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the iTunes app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
Another option is to try logging out of your account by tapping on it Settings > Store and then logging back in.

Rental movies from iTunes Store

Dear Friends,
Trying to rent a movie from iTunes Store, why in some cases the icon where to click to rent the movie is a liter shade of gray and won't let me rent the movie when compared to other movies in the same catagory? My account has the proper funds. Here is an other twist, this happens on MacBook Air, but does not happen on iPad. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Launch iTunes on the MBAir.
From the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click iTunes > Preferences then select the Parental Tab.
Deselect: Explicit Content
Then click OK.

I have the same problem with Excel files on an external drive. The drive is attached to my computer which is on a network and another user accesses the external drive. The problem of "custom access" began after our main server went down. I hope someone can come up with a solution so that I can set the permissions. For now the Excel files are all read only.

How can I get an HD movie from iTunes store to play on original iPad

I recently purchased an HD movie--Brave--from the iTunes store. I'm trying to play on my original iPad (iPad 1), but iTunes refuses to synch it because it says it is an unsupported format. The movie is in 1080p format. I typically get both HD and SD formats when I purchase movies, but iTunes no longer downloads the SD version automatically when I purchase the HD version. I attempted to get an SD version from the store, but it said I already purchased the movie and instructed me to check the downloads. There is no SD download pending and a check for new downloads was fruitless.
Can someone confirm that the original iPad is unable to play HD video? I imagine it is the 1080p that's the problem. Can anyone confirm that 720p would work? Is there no longer a means to get both HD and SD when purchasing a movie from the iTunes store? If there is, how?

You can get the SD or 720p version by:
Open iTunes 11
Click iTunes in menu bar > select Preferences...
Click on the Store tab
Change When downloading High Definition videos, prefer dropdown to 720p > click OK
Click on the iTunes Store button
Click Purchased link
Click Movies tab
You should now see a download icon for the movies you already have 1080p version of.
Click on this download icon to download the 720p version.
This will put a 720p version in the same folder on your hard drive as the 1080p version. If you have iTunes setup to play 1080p when available, it will play the 1080p version. When you connect your iPad 1, it will sync the 720p version.
Don't forget to change your preference back to 1080p so you can continue to get the higher quality version.

I just purchsed new movies from iTunes store but to transfer to my ipod, it says it will delete 5 other movies from my other pc. Any ideas?

I have 4 pcs authorized. 1 for each of my family members when I visit. I had recently purchased several movies from the iTunes store before leaving florida, now here in Maryland. I decided to purchsed more. when I attempt to upload from the itunes library to my ipod movies, it gives me a window error explaining:
"This ipod is currently linked to another iTunes library. In order to copy the movie Goonies to this ipod, you must link this ipod with this iTunes library. Doing so will remove 5 movies including Trading Places from this iPod."
Well, this is unaccectable since all my other movies, including the 5 it wishes to remove are on my home PC in florida. All the movies were purchased from iTunes yet only my recent purchases show up in the library folder - which makes no sense unless it auto deletes itself after a period of time?
I have copied the movies from the library folder to this pc just in case but I cannot find a way to copy or backup my ipod to my PC just in case itunes wipes my movies.
Any help or ideas?
