Movies once synced with ATV not clear as they are on IPOD!

Hi, jus got my box and synced(12 hours later) all the movies are very pixilated, i thought ATV sorted out the pixels!
am i doing something wrong!

If your movies are pixelated, then they are encoded at too low a resolution.
The ipod will display 320 x 240 well, but it is far too low a resolution for a tv screen. Once a movie is compresed nothing can regain the information which has been discarded during compression. What is the source of your movies.

Not sure of what? In your second response you said the issue was with airplay. You were also having issues connecting laptop to computer, which points to a laptop connectivity issue. I simply asked if home sharing was an issue as well, since that will confirm the laptop as the cause. Your response that home sharing is on doesn't really help since that doesn't itself have a bearing on airplay nor does it answer the question in regards to if home sharing is working on Apple TV

WHen i hook up my ipad2 to tv, movies i have purchased will not play because they are "protected"???

Every time i try to hook up my ipad to the tv via hdmi cord, it says the movies i have purchased are "protected". i tried playing one of the movies i downloaded outside of itunes and it will play for a minute or so, then seems as if it disconnects. I have checked the tv and cords and they are fine. This is one of the reasons i bought the ipad and if anyone could help me solve this it would be greatly appreciated!

From that message, it sounds like your TV is not HDCP compliant, or your HDMI connection is running through a HDMI switch or device that is confusing the connection. Confirm that your TV is indeed HDCP compliant, and if you're connecting the iPad via a switch or component, try connecting to the TV directly.

Bought app in order to sync itunes with a blackberry playbook. Now Itunes will open on my computer but when i plug my ipods in to charge or sync, itunes is not showing that they are plugged in. Cant charge or anything!

Obviously not too smart with all this technology. I puchased a Blackberry Playbook Tablet and wanted to sync my itunes music, so following directions on the Playbook, I downloaded this app - Daniel Bingham Itunes sync - and when I went to my pc, I pulled it up, plugged in my Playbook and it did sync all my music from my Itunes library to the Playbook. However, now when I plug an ipod in my pc to charge or sync more music, my pc is not showing it recognizes any of my ipods being plugged in. It makes no mention of any of my ipods being connected! I also keep getting this "Found New Hardware Wizard" box that keeps popping up everytime I plug an ipod in - it originally showed up when I had Playbook plugged in to download all its info (I think) but it never completes, saying not compatible - so I click cancel. I have since clicked on remove New found hardware but it still pops up. Why does it continue to show with every Ipod now? Any idea on what I can do to repair this situation? Please help!

Yes, it will. You cannot merge information on the phone. If you want the old messages, you will need to restore from a backup of the old phone, which will make the new phone look just like the old phone. If you want to save the messages from the new phone, you will not be able to get the messages from the old phone.

Home video not appearing in Videos/Movies after syncing with first generation iPad.

Why is my home video in Shared Libraries but not Movies after syncing with first generation iPad? It appears in Movies on iPad2 and iPad3. I've already changed Media Kind to "Movie." I didn't have this problem 1 month ago when syncing a new video. Is there a software update issue? iPad says software is up-to-date.

The video app has 4 tabs across the top. If they are not hiding in one of the tabs, i suspect they are missing the type identifier and the app doesnt know where to show them. Glas that at least you can find them.
Next time you sync, take a look in i tunes, and see if they are fully labeled there. I would not be surprised if one the i tunes fields is the key for the pad video app to know which tab to put the, under.

If the shows are in fact still on the pad, they will be found in the videos app, not the music or I tunes app. Look there and see if they are still there.
If you don't see them there, go to the searchlight screen ( farthest left home page) and type in the name of one of the shows. If it is on the pad, hiding somewhere, this will find it.
If they are not there, they should not be using up space.
To get them back onto your pad, plug in and sync again. Make sure you transfer purchases first. Before you sync, take a look at the video tab in your I tunes, and check what you want and don't want synced.

"Unexpected Error" When Syncing with Lotus Notes Calendar

I continue to get an "Unexpected Error" message from the Blackberry Desktop Manager when I attempt to sync with Lotus Notes Calendar. I have been syncing without issues for a couple of weeks now; this error just started yesterday.

I developed an application for a German customer who is using Lotus Domino too.This application should be accesed through Services button on IP Phone This application queries Domino directory or Notes Personal Address Book via WebServices and displays results on IP phone. So you have business contacts that were lost... do you not have these on a Database in some shape or form? Sounds like you need to invest in a RAID1 backup setup for your computer so you dont have this issue in the future.
As for repairing your problem, sounds like you are going to need to start from scratch at this point or if the data is still on your phone look into a program that can take the information from the phone onto iTunes.

Can I restore my Notes from an iCloud back-up? if I synced with the Notes "off" in the iCloud settings?

I synced with the Notes "off" position in the iCloud settings since I didn't realize I had to specifically turn anything "on" to be synced. I had to wipe my iPhone for another issue and restored my contacts, etc, from my most recent iCloud back-up. Can I go back to the back-up and retrieve my Notes, or were they never sent to the cloud to begin with? If I can't, is there ANY way to get them back? And if not, can they be hacked by anyone wince they have all kinds of data that could be used for Bad Things.

I restored from iCloud, although the Notes thing was still "off'. I only just turned it on now, so if I re-restore, will I get my Notes back?

Hi, Just finished setting up my sleek E52 - happy as a bird! Started up the Ovi Suite to sync with Lotus Notes....crash!!!! What?!?!? THIS IS MISSION CRITICAL!!!!! Been a Nokia fan for +10 years. I guess I'll have to take it back to the shop and switch to Samsung or HTC to get my calender and contacts!!! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?????

Go to Settings>iCloud and set up the iCloud account you were using before by singing in with the same Apple ID. Then turn the data you were syncing with your iCloud account back to On, and if prompted, choose merge.

OVI Suite 2.0 doesn't sync with Lotus Notes!

I am disgusted with the new OVI 2.0! First it keeps bugging me to download and install it. Next I found out that it doesn't support sync with Lotus Notes. Unlike my Nokia PC Suite v 7.0, it doesn't sync at all with Lotus Notes.
Even worst, Nokia claimed that OVI Suite is the only application available from them.
What am I to do with my calendar and contacts entries on my Notes then? I will not hesitate to switch to a different mobile phone maker if Nokia doesn't fix this problem!

With the exception of the calendar and contacts, which can be sync'ed as long as the PC Suite works, the Nokia backup solution does not backup much I can not backup by using the memory card and a computer (and/or the USB cable), and it will be a simple matter to drop that back into a mobile phone from another provider, and sync my calendar and contacts into it as well.
I believe Nokia employees reading these discussions should forward their concern to their colleagues and superiors at Nokia, and I know the culture in many Finnish companies implies a relatively flat structure and allows for good contact along the lines of command in the companies, so I believe that can be done.
I would like to be able to continue using Nokia, but I am more dependent on features and functionality than brand.
My postings are done on basis of my own opinions, and are not done on behalf of organizations I am or have been member of, nor employers I have or have had.
