Android 4.3 update is really amazing but it comes with flaws that needs to be perfected.
Movies app:
-Sometimes sound and video is not in sync. Have to close app and start again for it to be okay.
Walkman app:
-Volume is really soft when compared to other music player playing from the same phone and same music file
-Sound enhancement effects are not working
-Long song names when shown on music list is jumbled up with song timing shown, looking really messing
-Genre option and Year option please!
Album app:
-Laggy when loading photos
-Thumbnails are not accurate after a image file is deleted

Facing the same problem all my sony app hang on start.. but other software are fine.. 2 week already and still no feedback from sony??

Sony Album app Zooming sensitivity weakness

I think sony needs to improve or maybe to change the sensitivity of Album app Zooming in and out sensitivity because as I experience it is not responsive at all, also some bugs.
When doing zooming out twice on portrait mode. It stops moving. And also when we put both fingers to the screen to start zooming, the photo moves itself a little bit.
So many update has beed done to Album app, but it seems that sony software developer has not noticed it. Come on Sony. Fix this soon. I am sony fans. Dont make me feel dissappointed by only this easy solved problems. Take a look at iphone photo app when zooming in and out. And also please see the quickpic app doing zooming in andvout.

Z2 album app update

Hey, i'm experiencing a few annoying issues with my z2, it's a great phone but i've been experiencing alot of Google sync issues so I factory reset my phone which seems to have solved the issue I think... But after that I now have the old album app on my z2 as before when I received my phone I also received the update for album on the update centre as where I don't now... I have the update for Walkman.video unlimted and movies but not album... I'm just wondering why I don't receive it over ota anymore?

How to transfer movies from an app to my new phone

I have some movies from an app called video downloader, I need to transfer them from my iphone5 to my iphone 6. Can I do that? The only thing that itunes did was copied the app, but not its content.

I only wanted the songs from the CD that I downloaded to my itunes and not lose all the songs i had. It said it would erase and then sync. I figured out though. I switch to manually manage music and videos and then sync and just the album downloaded. Songs not lost.

Hi, I have found a pretty bad bug in the dlna support in the WALKMAN android app for Xperia phones.
Please could a mod or a community person who is in contact with the developers, pass this info on to them and ask them to please work on it.
I have the latest updated Version 8.3.A.0.5 of the WALKMAN android app installed on a SONY XPERIA Z mobile phone and I have a dlna server set up and running on my local network.
If I download, install and use the DNLA Total Media app available in the Google play store instead of the WALKMAN app, I can play flac and m4a files; no problem.
However, if I use the WALKMAN app to browse to my dlna server and try to play flac or m4a files, I get a small black box on screen that says "Content not available."
If I browse to and select an mp3 file instead, the WALKMAN app will play (stream) the mp3 file and no small black box will appear.
So it looks like the dlna part of the SONY WALKMAN app is missing support for some audio file container types which are supported by default on the Android operating system and work natively in the WALKMAN app (I tested play back from internal storage.) I believe ogg format playback is missing also. Because it is not required by the dlna specification.
Please improve file type support in the dlna client part of the WALKMAN app for XPERIA phones. People working in professional audio environments don't use mp3 anymore (And haven't done for over five years.)

As you say, i believe the DLNA standard doesn't have any support for flac and ogg but i've seen some 3:rd party apps that can do it but i'm not sure if those uses DLNA in that case or just UPnP. I will forward your feedback though.
The only solution for this that i know of today is to use a 3:rd party app or perhaps mount the share using SMB instead from Settings -> Storage.

Album app crashes and other problems

I have my Z1 Compact for about 3 months now and I am countering bugs that effect the most basic uses of the phone.
- First the Album app crashes everytime I go to "Folders" it been like that before the latest update, and afterwards.
- The screen proximity sensor is not doing it's job. While I'm on a call sometimes my face touches different button like airplane mode, or while I'm getting a call and the phone is in my pocket my thigh touchs buttons and answer to calls.
- The favorite contact tab sometimes is blank, although I do have favorites.
- The Message app is slow and if I don't wait for it to complete sending a message and I go to the home screen, the app keeps it as draft although the message was sent..
- Camera sometimes freeze but that's been discussed enough.
- Other apps get stuck and crash sporadicaly.
I have to say that my 3 years old iphone 4 had less bugs, so its really hard for me to say I upgraded my smartphone.
Sony better do something about your own apps, because this phone doesn't worth the price and has many compatitors.

Since last version the Album cannot play gif. properly. Some image have enlarge and some pixels crack in both thumbnail preview and actual view . But the Favorite preview play just fine till I tapped to view and the same problem accure.
So I gave up on new version and back to factory version which kind of irritating....
Anyway I waited for this latest version. In this version the thumbnail preview look fine but when tapped to see the gif.still cannot played.

Default view in album app.

The default view in the album app should be folder view.. Whenever we open the album it should show the folders containing pics and videos not all the pics videos in the way it currently shows that creates a total mess.. And I was not able to use 3rd party app on my xperia z1 due to restrictions in kitkat over external sd card. I think u should add the following features:
1. Default view should be of folders.
2. we should be able to move pics and videos from external sd card to internal memory and vice versa within the app using multi select feature.
If u people add the above listed features then it will be highly appreciated and the app will then only become useful.

I know this has been brought up several times.
But common, I just installed the newst update and I'm very happy that I don't need to go into file commander everytime I'd like to move a photo.
Back to case, I'm fed up with having to go to Home every time I whant my photo's, the reason is that I got like many others, porno on my phone, now I got it in a specific folder, but to what help? Everyone can see them because of the home thing.
What I really ask for is to permanently or just haveing it as as a option, to take away Home and instead go to Folders eveverytime I start up the app.

Photo Album app and Video viewing crashes the whole phone

Not sure whether there is already another forum for this?
I am running android 4.3.
I have found that when I go into my photo album and scroll right the way down to the bottom of the page, the pictures stop showing a thumbnail and instead all I am shown are blacked out squares. When I then scroll to the top of the page the thumbnails that were previously there then turn black too. This then has the effect of crashing the whole phone. What I mean by this is that it becomes unresponsive, the back and home buttons do not work and I am then shown a barrage of "Album is not working" or "Google+ is not working" or "system is not working" messages..
This is also the case when I am attempting to view videos. The phone will play some videos but then all of a sudden it will begin to become unresponsive in the same way as I have mentioned before.
When the phone has become unresponsive, the screen times out and I am unable to access my phone again for a good few minutes. When I can eventually access the phone, I have found the same sort of messages and unresponsiveness will occur again when I enter these apps or try to view videos through the movies app or another video viewing app and I am forced to restart the phone.
The issue with album app occurs every time I try to access the photos at the very bottom of the page. The issue with the videos appears to be more temperamental and will occur every so often and through either the movies app or when viewing videos through alternate sources such as facebook.
I have only recently bought the Z1 and I have to say I am incredibly disappointed by the device so far!
Can anyone offer any sort of guidance or tips on what I should do?

Sounds like there could be a problem with the indexation of your media files. So I suggest that you try to clear data for the media storage application.
Settings > App's > All > Media storage > Clear data.

One day they were just gone and couldn't sync back on. I used to think it was a syncing problem, but it is storage. I have done a hard restart. I have deleted some junk from "memory". I have tried to "clean up" my iPad, but I am missing a ton of space. Is there a trash can that I need to empty? Are my movies still stored but inaccessible? I have read forum posts about an "other" category in stoarge which I don't see on my iPad. Not sure what else to try.

Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.
An "other" larger than aboutn 1 1/2 GB usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files. Usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

I was a bit short, Chris, sorry. It is limited, what can be posted, when typing on an iPad.
Now I am back on my Mac. I meant the following: Batch Change the date for a large range of photos, that should have a date stepped in increments.
Select all Photos at once and use the command "Photos > Batch Change".
Then set the date for the first photo and select an increment, e.g. one minute.
Now all photos will get a new date assigned, incremented by one minute, in the sequence you have selected. So you will be able to sort them by date. This way it will be unnecessary to change the titles or filenames.

You have been mislead. Other users report that what you have been told by the Hack is not true. Right. Mail remembers as well. I have the menubar set on my larger display, and the main Mail window on the MBP display. When I create a new message, it displays the composition window on whichever display I used the last time for composition. So after the first time I moved the composition window to the larger display, it always opens on that display. I can't remember if it remembers that behavior after taking the MBP on the road, where I use only its display, and then reconnect the second display back at home.

I created an album on my iPhone recently to make it easier to navigate through my Camera Roll. Is there a way to move that album (and the photos in it) to iPhoto? I realize that iPhone albums are just subsets of the Camera Roll, and thus all the photos have in fact synched to my computer. But the way I've grouped them together is the key... I'd like to avoid having to to re-create the album on iPhoto manually. (It will take a long time and seems completely unnecessary.)

I would not recommend that you move iMovie files to the Time Capsule. You will not get sufficient performance for editing. For this reason, iMovie does not show the Time Capsule as an attached drive within iMovie.
If you move these files using the Finder, you will likely make the projects unusable, because the links between the projects and events will be broken.
Use a locally attached external hard drive tha is formatted as Mac OS Extended (journaled).
