Moving a Folder/Files not properly Exported

I recently had to return a Company Laptop which I ran iTunes on. I backed up all of my files but forgot to do a "proper" Export. Now when I try to import or move the Files to my Home PC iTunes is giving me an Error Message that the files were not Exported.
Is there any way around this?

Open the folder \Documents and Settings\yourname\My Documents\My Music\iTunes where yourname is the name of your Windows XP user account, fin the files inside, drag them to the external drive, and from there into the open iTunes window.

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

Indesign not properly exporting overlapsing shapes

Hello,
I am making a publication in CS4. In some of my masters i've used shapes that overlaps other shapes [coloured plains]. While I am exporting the booklet the left pages are not properly exporting [shapes in the back are in the front.] while the uneven [right] pages are seemingly fine.
Does anyone have a solution?

VIDEO_TS or HVDVD_TS folder files not included in final disc

I'm trying to burn an HD DVD project and after the compile completes successfully I get a string of error messages in the Log telling me that the .BUP, .IFO, .EVO, .LAY files found in VIDEO_TS or HVDVD_TS folder will not be included in the final disc. When I try to play the finished disc in a regular set-top DVD player it doesn't play. (It will play in an Apple Computer)
I can't figure out how to fix this.

I don't know why you are getting those errors. Maybe someone else will come along and help with that.
You are still using a media that has a very small range of options to play. I would start a new SD DVDSP project and take things from there.

Iphoto 09 not properly exporting edited photos

When I use the "adjust" function in the edit screen the changes I make are neither applied in the enlarged version of the photo in Iphoto nor when I try to export the photo to the desktop. Other changes I make in edit, such as using the "effect" function, do save however. What can I do to save the changes made using "adjust" to have them apply to the exported photo?

What version of iPhoto?
Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7 or later: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.

Moved Library some files not found, what next?

Just moved my Library and renamed it. Tested it and conclude that 30% of my music files seemed to reside in 2nd Library which I removed (after backing up). These files can no longer be found by iTunes. I can restore the backup and try to locate the files, but that would return me to a double library files structure whic I would like to avoid.
So my question is: How do I best consolidate my library?
Is this right?:
1) Restore backup Library to New disk and Folder location (i.e. physically add the files to the structure)
2) Locate the files by trying to play again and opting to locate when prompted.
OR
Use the consolidate function once I have restored.
(I donlt quite understand what the consolidate function does - though it sounds like its just the right tool)

P.S. Yes I did opt not to consolidate during the move process when prompted by the iTunes system. That may have been a mistake...

It's probably easier to just drag them back into your itunes library, and delete the references to the ones from the C: drive.
Otherwise you will have to locate each song's new path.
As you've discovered, it's a bad idea to move file locations outside of itunes. It stores the absolute path to each file, so if it changes, it can't find it.

Calendar Custom commands - Export Event is not properly exporting

I am using OOTB Calendar list and want to export the Events from Export Event button on Custom Command tab. It exports the data into .ics file but if there are any hyperlinks or HTML tags existing in the list data, it is not exporting the details properly.
What is the work around for this?

I can't find Export Event button on Custom Command tab in my SharePoint 2010, how do you export the Events from calendar into .ics file.

XML file not properly read from Appc Server. Partial records filled into IT

I am reading an XML file from the application Server. only 2 records are comming to the Internal table. Other records are not coming to the Internal Table. It's giving Sy-Subrc 4 after 2 iterations. Below is my code. Kindly suggest.

Hi,
this is probably because there's only one "end of line" character (probably after <?xml ... ?>). This is normal, but you must store the second line in a string data object, which will then receive the whole XML stream (except the xml header as it is stored in the first line). And that's done.

User folder corrupted, went to restore, user folder files not there

I tried to upgrade to 10.5.4 in our iMac and my drive went out to lunch for some reason. We tried to work through that in another forum. I finally had to scrub the drive and install from DvD. Then I went to restore from Time Machine. It seemed to go well, but when finished, all I can see of the user folder is the shared folder. Where is my data? I had the original folder encrypted with FileVault. Could that cause the file to be hidden? I have 10 years of information in that file...

I tried several different approaches. I tried the restore from backup and could tell from the space used that the file was there somewhere, but couldn't find or open it. Finally, I loaded the OS from the installation disk and asked for a restore from backup and selected everthing but the system file. Everything came back. I did have to try several times to remember the encryption key for FileVault to get the file to open. I downloaded the 10.5.4 combo update, and this time things went fine. I don't know what happened earlier. One other unusual thing that happened in the process was I plugged in a firewire drive. The iMac wouldn't recognize it and everything suddenly flashed off like a breaker tripped (though the power strip never lost power). The iMac rebooted OK, but I'm wondering if a power supply is going south or something. Anyway, thanks for your suggestions. It looks like I have joy again! Thank God for Time Machine!

All the tasks run fine, expect these 4 (and their dependencies)
Rest of the parameter file names are correct. As a result of the above 4 parameter file names,
the ETL workflow is not getting triggered, hence, no informatica session log or workflow log.
Only DAC error log shows up, for these tasks.
500+/700+ ETL tasks completed, hence, I do not suspect any major configuration issue. Note this is 7.9.6.2 of Bi apps.

WE did had the similar problem and we were able to come out of it with below one.
1). Modify infa_command.xml in /install/DAC/CONF
2). In the file, search for start_workflow_8 and start_workflow_8_alternative
3). Swap names by renaming start_workflow_8 to start_workflow_8_alternative
4). Rename start_workflow_8_alternative to start_workflow_8
5). Place the modified file in the same location, bounce DAC Server and re-run ETL
NOTE: The parameter will work only if DAC Server and INFA server are on the same server.

Music showing up in folder, but not in iTunes

I noticed some music missing from my playlist in iTunes, I checked the folder home(myname)>music>itunes and the folders are there, but they are missing when I open iTunes. I tried rebuilding the playlist, but that seems to be a mess and it only duplicates what's there and doesn't add new. How do I create a new playlist file and how do I get the music to show up.
Note: The music I'm talking about has been in the system for many months, now it's not showing up in iTunes.
I'm confused.

This application will list the file paths of the files in your designated "iTunes Media" folder which are not in iTunes' library. Additionally, you can select a different parent folder and its contents will be compared to the iTunes library. Options to Add a selection of found files to iTunes or move them to the Trash.

In iTunes 11 uncheck the preferences setting in in the iTunes Preferences panel "Advanced > Copy Files to iTunes Media folder when adding to Library"

I was able to register it though.

Not a surprise. The Acrobat 8 product family passed into End of Support back in 2011.

I used a third party programme called Mackeeper UGHHH,it moved loads of files to the trash now i do not know where they originally came from or belong!! the put back option is in grey??how can i manually put these files back where they belong?SO upset!!

hello there thank u so much for ur reply!! ok i uninstalled mackeeper now and the put back option is still in grey im so confused...i tried restarting my computer like u said and put back still in grey??!! the files that are in my trash are everything from Accounts,address book plug-ins,address book,adobe,aim.........then stuff like apple,Audio,....to caches color pickers,colors,com.apple.TCC,to DVD player to facebook,google to ilifemedia browser to itunes to keychains to movie effects,preferences printers to skype...my Native instruments files BUT not all of them my garage band but not all of it...it seriously looks like my whole library is in the trash i tried to put things back where i THINK they belong and it just added the item or folder under where i thought it went and didnt restore functionality to for instance google chrome and all my book marks are there....they seem to be only certain things from my library that would have added some functionality to apps and programmes like my garageband is missing stuff photobooth wont work so on.......kinda looks a bit like this thats only the half of it!! Authenication needed when moving or saving files to a folder

I've been online searching but can't find a resolution to disabling having to authenticate when moving or saving files to any folder.
I read something about using Terminal and tried the suggestion which was typing in
sudo chawn -R yourshortname . Then putting in my password when prompted. It either will not type my password or not accept it.
Can anyone help? Thanks
