Moving a Muse Site to a client that has BC

I have a site in progress (in Muse) that I want to push over to my client's BC account which, I understand has 4 open slots.
Does anyone know step-by-step how to do this without blowing up the client's existing site. I only want to move it because she has it upgraded and I want to create a blog. However, I do not want to replace her existing site until the Muse site is perfect.
Any suggestions?

Hi Micky,
By "4 open slots" if you mean your customer has 4 of the 5 free sites available, then you need to send him the .muse file of the project. You client need to publish it from Muse using his credentials. If your client want to upload it to the existing site and don't want to replace the files, then he need to export the site as HTML from Muse and FTP the desired pages to the site.

Aish

I have created a Muse site for a client that wishes to host with Business Catalyst. How do I publish the site with their account rather than using one of my free sites? This is so I can keep my free ones for personal projects but also so they can pay for their own hosting. I am happy to set it all up for them but not sure what to do.

    Hi
You can use their BC login details and use them , which on publish the site will be under their account.
Please change the BC login from Edit > Preferences > Publish > Switch Accounts , for Mac it would Adobe Muse > Preferences
    Thanks,

  • Maintain an Adobe Muse site for a client once Muse subscription expires?

Hi there, I'd really appreciate some advice here. I have created a site in adobe muse for a client that is shortly to be pushed live. I also have a subscription to Adobe Muse (monthly), which  will need to terminate shortly. How can I ensure that the site made under my account/subscription stays live when my subscription expires?  It is my understanding that my client can pay a third party hoster (or adobe business catalyst) to host the site - is this the case?
    Many thanks for reading.
    Matt

    Hello Matt,
It is not mandatory to keep Muse subscription active after the site has been pushed live (this is in case of paid sites). Even if you discontinue the Muse subscription/membership, the paid site will still be very much active. It is also true that the client can use a third party hosting service or Business Catalyst to host the site. If you want them to publish from their own account with Business Catalyst, then send the .muse file to them and let them install the trial version of Muse (if they would just be publishing this site only this one time) or subscribe to Muse paid subscription (if they are going to keep making changes to the site time and again), and have them publish the site from their account.
They can also upload the site to the host from their end, or this is something that you can do for them as well, as it doesn't have the concept of account creation then.
    Hope this helps.

  • Cannot clear address line history. when i type a word in the address line i still get full history of all sites i've visited that has that word(s) in it.

even when private browsing, typing in the address line itself always brings up a history of sites visited that include that word or words. i've cleared the bookmarks, cookies, & history settings to no avail.

    Try http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locked_or_damaged_places.sqlite

  • Final Cut X crashed while moving project, how can I retrieve media that has vanished. Relinking doesn't do the job. This is the second it happens. The program seems to hang as soon as I select "move project".

My system crashes several times a day. This is getting exhausting and very expensive.

Have you tried deleting your preferences?

  • Why won't my Muse site publish to my client's BC account?

I switched accounts in Muse to my client's BC account and then published the website. When I try to register the domain name on their BC account it says they have to upgrade and pay to have their GoDaddy domain registered. That's all fine and dandy until I try to preview the site I should've just uploaded to their BC account and it shows the BC trial site, NOT the one I just published from Muse. If I could get some help on how to actually publish the Muse site on my client's BC account and get them all launched with the domain they already paid for through GoDaddy that'd be great. Thanks!!

    Hi
If your client has subscribed to Creative cloud subscription using the same email that you have used in Muse switch accounts then they can push live the site using there free site counts.
But if they have not subscribed to CC subscription , they would not have the free site counts.
In this case you would need to publish using your account and then push live site which will use one count out of your 5 free site counts.
    Thanks,

  • How to add a user when Muse site is uploaded without Business Catalyst?

    Hello,
I have uploaded a Muse site for my client on her own ftp server. But how can I add her as a "inbrowser editor", so that she can manage the site when needed? Or is it only possible to add a user when I upload the site on the Business Catalyst host?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
The June 2014 update to Muse enables In-Browser Editing for Muse sites hosted with third-party (non-Adobe) providers.
    See https://helpx.adobe.com/muse/using/whats-new.html#In-browser%20Editing%20enhancements for specifics.

  • Update a Muse site, without uploading the whole site

So I'm about to create a site for a client that will be maintained by me, however, I'm worried about updating it. With the last few sites, which have only had about 5-7 pages, I've simply made the changes in Muse, export the whole site to HTML and upload it to the web, the whole site, everytime. With this new site, there will be a lot of pages and I really don't want to have to export and upload the whole site, everytime I make a change.
Is there an easy way to do this?
Currently, the client hosts their own site via GoDaddy, so I just log in via FTP and put the files there when I'm done editing.

    Hello,
You can use the File -> Upload to FTP host option in Muse to upload your changes directly from Muse to your host (Godaddy).
When you use that option, you also have the choice to either choose to upload the whole site, or only the modified pages. However, if the modifications were made to a master page, then all the pages to which that master is applied, will be uploaded again. Hope this helps.

  • Incorporating payments (such as Stripe) in a Muse site

I would like to incorporate online payments into my Muse site. I know that the Basic package that comes with the Cloud subscription doesn't include it and there is a (significantly expensive) option. However, I don't want to pay that amount just to have e-commerce capability until I can actually afford it. How difficult is it to add epayment capability, such as Stripe, to a Muse site?

    Hello Bruce,
Unfortunately as of now there is no option in Muse site to incorporating a Payment Gateway. The only option to add any external code in Adobe Muse right now  is to add them as HTML.
If you can use some Stripe or some other payment options just by using the HTML code and not modifying any code, then you can try it. Else I would say it is not possible with Adobe Muse.

  • Is it necessay to add a canonical tag to tablet and mobile versions of a Muse site?

Is it necessay to add a canonical tag to tablet and mobile versions of a Muse site?

I know that they don't actually touch anything on the site. However when you create a tablet version of your site, they "take care" of the redirection to the tablet version. So I am wondering if a search engine views the tablet version as duplicate content when everything is nearly the same... or does muse put something in the code that would let robots know this like a canonical tag?

  • Why is my clients Muse site not exporting images properly?

Well I have just uploaded my clients website and the images don't seem to be displaying correctly look here and you will see what I mean http://www.butterfliesbridal.co.uk/ it isn't just one image it's quite a few however they work on my Business catalyst host but my clients are strict on using their current hosting account any ideas?.http://butterfliesbridal.businesscatalyst.com/

    Hello Nick,
As you confirmed, the site looks fine in another platform (Business Catalyst). Let's try one more thing here.
If you haven't already, please export the site from Muse to a location of your choice in your computer using the "File -> Export As HTML" option in Muse, and once done, go to that location and run the pages locally to check if the images look fine there. If they do, that means the images are exported fine from Muse, and the issue is most possibly at the host's end.
In that case, please have the host "reset your FTP permissions" and reupload the site to see if that resolves the issue.
    Hope this helps.

  • I have built a Muse site for a manufacturer but My client needs his customers to be able  submit their files for quotation. How do I do this in Muse?

    Hi
I have built a Muse site for a manufacturer. My client needs his customers to be able to upload their files for quotes. I notice that other web sites do have this facility in their contact form. How do I do this in muse?

  • Which BC plan do I select to host my client who has aTumblr blog on  a Muse site?

Which Business Catalyst plan do I select to host my client's website with aTumblr blog on a Muse site? aspics or marketing?

    Hello
If you need features like email marketing, BC blogs, secure zone, then you need to select webMarketing plan. And if you need E-commerce features, that you need the webCommerce plan.
If you want to use external blogs then you may go for a lower plan like webBasic+ or webHosting plan.
Different plan offer different features. Please see the breakdown of what is included in each plan here:- http://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst/kb/detailed-plan-breakdown.html

  • Is it possible to embed a Juicebox gallery to a Muse site that has not yet been launched?

I tried FTP'ing my gallery files to my current hosting service and pasting the link into the html object for the new site I'm doing in Muse, which I haven't officially launched. This didn't work. Does the Muse site have to be hosted and in the same directory as the gallery in order for this to fly? I don't know a thing about code or webpage development besides what I've poked around and learned using Muse over the past few weeks. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

In short, yes, your site files including Gallery 'should' be on the same server and within the same directory structure. I say 'should' because technically that is the way it works. There is specific instances that it is not the case but in the case you are describing the answer would be they need to be together.

  • Need to create a login page to my Adobe Muse site - how do I do that?

    Hi all,
I need to create a login page on my Adobe Muse site, as I need to post information that only authorized personnel have acces to. Is that possible. I use Business Catalyst to host my site.
    Thanks,

    Hi Michael,
The Business Catalyst site should be on web Marketing plan.
You can create the secure zone in Business Catalyst and then place the secure zone login form code from Business Catalyst to the page in Muse.
