Moving Adode Pro X to a new computer

I'll change computer and would like to move my licens and download Acrobat Pro X to my new computer.
How to proceed?

There is no need to move anything though you can deactivate the installation on your older machine if you like (you are allowed to have activated installations on two machines).
To install on the new machine you can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site or else the download will not work properly.

  • Installing Adobe Pro X on my new computer

My old computer "died" but the Adobe Pro X could not be transferred to my new computer.  I tried to "chat" with Sanjay to figure out how to do this, but the "chat" was not helpful.  I do remote work from home for a law firm that is about 1,000 miles away.  He told me that the license had to be accessed by the law firm manager in order for it to be reinstalled.  Interestingly, the license is under my account with my name and email.  The law firm manager provided me with access to her account - the license is not listed under her account.  I need to reinstall Adobe Pro X on my new computer - the license has been paid for and I should be able to do this from my account.  How can I get this reinstalled on my new computer?  Thank you.

    Hi amedre,
I have checked your account and the serial number you have is a Volume License.
You can go ahead and download Acrobat 10 Pro from : http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html
and use the serial number to activate it on the new computer.

  • Logic Pro 9 to a new computer

How can I transfer Logic Pro 9 to a new computer.  I've already updated to 9.1.8.
I began with Logic Pro 8 (complete boxed suite), updated to 9 when it came out.  Everything worked great.  I bought a new computer and I migrated Logic Pro 9 and when I tried to use it I was asked to supply my serial number, I did.  Then I was asked for my serial number for Logic Pro 8, I supplied it.  Everything seemed to be going well but in the middle of the loading process, it crashes (actually around the time Kontakt 5 is loading).
Questions are: should I uninstall Logic and reinstall it?  Can I just install Logic 9 (the update) since 8 came with the old computer and I don't have the discs?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
    Thanks,
    Donaldcarl

Just reinstall=ing Logic never seems to do much and is considered basically a waste of time in almost every case...
So.. while the following is a PITA.. it's the most reliable method to get everything up and running on a new Mac....
    1) Reformat the System drive and install OS X using the Recovery partition...
Restart Mac (and when the gray screen appears), hold down the Command (⌘) and R keys.
Note: Dont simply reinstall OS X... Use the menu option to get to the Disk Utility... and reformat System Drive...Then install OS X..
    2) Install Logic Pro 9 Update only.... It will ask for both your LP8 and then LP9 serials so enter them...
    3) Update LP9 to 9.1.8 using this link...
    Logic Pro 9.1.8
    4) Test LP9 to ensure its all working
    5) Install the latest Audio/Midi drivers if needed..
    6) Test LP9 again....
    7) Install Kontakt (latest version) or Komplete if that's what you have... and update via NI's Service Center
    8) Test LP9 and Kontakt...
    9) Now install anything else you use...
    (10) Manually copy across all personal data, projects/photos/docs etc.. from old Mac via external HD or Thumb drive...
    Dont use Migration..........

  • I moved Creative Suite 5 to a new computer, deactivated on the old, activated on the new, but only Illustrator and Photoshop will open. The rest of the suite will not open. How do I fix this?

I moved Creative Suite 5 from my old MacBook Pro to my new MacBook Air and followed the instructions for deactivating on the old and activating on the new but only Photoshop and Illustrator will work. I need to also access InDesign, Acrobat, Dreamweaver and Fireworks. Is there a way to fix this? Problem with the MacBook Air is that is doesn't have a disc drive so I had to transfer via external hard drive.
    Cheers.

The problem is that you need to install CS5 from an installation file or installation disc. You can't just copy files because there are lots of supplementary files that don't get put in the right location.
You'll need to use the Adobe Cleaner to remove all the stuff on your new computer:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
Then download an installer for CS5:

  • Advice for moving to, and updating Aperture on, new computer?

I am moving to a new MacBook Pro with Retina Display, from a 6-year-old MacBook Pro. I'm looking for tips to make the transition smoother.
I will be upgrading to the newest version of Aperture. I currently have Aperture 3.4.5. Everything is all on my laptop. The Aperture file is 938 MB, and is SLOW! It's barely usable as it is.
I will be using TimeCapsule to transfer files. My current OS is 10.7.5.
Should I update Aperture before I move it? Should I move it, and then update it? Should I (somehow!) "disconnect" the files from the program and then reconnect them after they are transferred?
I'd like to make this transition as painless as possible!
Thanks for any advice you can give me.

    1. You can't update Aperture past 3.4.5 from 10.8.5 or earlier. You need to move it and then perform the update.
    2. See #1.
    3. No. Just keep a backup of them.
    4. If you got Aperture from a DVD and the new computer's running Yosemite, you'll probably need to contact Apple to perform the update.

  • Moving BC via Winclone to a new computer....

Question regarding moving/installing a bc partition to a new computer. I have a backup via winclone of my MBPro windows setup that I would like to install on my new Imac. I understand a different driver setup will be needed via the create a driver disk etc.
However, I am unsure if this will work moving to a new computer. Has anyone done this and if so, what is the process? Simply restore like you would with a HD upgrade and then load new drivers???

Moving Windows XP from computer to computer is fairly easy using PC's. I just clone the drive, then boot up with the install media and perform a "repair install". It is like an upgrade, except that all it does is remove the hardware from the device manager, and re-detect it. I've never tried this under BootCamp, but it seems to me that you might be able to make it work if you follow the WinClone restore procedures, then after it is done, boot to your XP install and run the repair install process. Another thing you might want to do is to uninstall your existing BootCamp drivers under windows before you make the move. Following that, the install on the new machine might go a little cleaner...

  • Need help moving photoshop 7.0.1 to new computer

I hope everyone is doing well. I also hope someone can help me out. I need to move/load Photoshop 7.0.1 onto a different computer - o/s Windows XP Professional v.2002. We are a small company with no IT department and the original CDs and product keys/proof of purchase are lonnnnnnnnng gone. Upgrading is not an option at this time, the powers that be will most likely tell me to do my photoshop work on the laptop, but I want everything at my fingertips at my desk. Too much to ask? Apparently it is because I cannot figure out how to load onto my desktop.
I've read, in several places, that Adobe allows the user to download the software to two computers, but I don't know if its ever been loaded elsewhere and when I moved the file from my laptop to our rustic server - didn't work. Then I tried copying everything to a memory stick and moving it to my new computer BUT there is no .exe file when I do this. I can't make it run. And never did I receive an messages that scream - hey you, you can't load this on more than two computers.
I called Adobe and they informed me that they no longer support this version over the phone and that I should check out the forums. Unfortunately, I cannot find the info I need on the forum. Perhaps I'm using the wrong terminology in my search - I have tried several variations...loading, moving, reinstalling....and come up empty. Actually, come up with lots of stuff (from years ago) that doesn't help. In one post I thought could be the holy grail, there was a link that bottomed out - took me nowhere.
I don't what else to do, I don't know what the google anymore. I'm hopeful someone has an answer other than an upgrade. Thanks.

Note that I am assuming you're properly licensed to be able to run the app on your new computer.  I do not propose doing anything illegal.
With the ollld versions of Photoshop, like the one you have, you can try going through a process like this:
    1.  Copy the entire c:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 7.0 folder to the new computer.
    2.  Try to run Photoshop on the new computer.
    3.  Note any "missing DLL" message.
    4.  Locate the DLL on the old computer (e.g., in C:\Windows\System32 or wherever), and copy it to the same place on the new computer.
    5.  Repeat steps 2 through 4 until no more "missing DLL" messages present themselves.
There may be other types of messages you'll see.  They're usually descriptive enough to be able to determine what it's looking for that it does not have.  If you get one you're unsure of how to handle, post it here.

  • I want to download logic pro x on a new computer. How?

This is so basic, I can't find the answer. I bought logic pro this summer and want to download it on a new computer. Where is the link to do that?

Log into the Mac App Store with the Apple ID you used to buy it, click on the Purchases tab, and download it from there.

  • Want to transfer previously purchased adobe pro xi to a new computer

You don't transfer it. You just install it to the new computer. You will need the original install media, serial number, and if an upgrade the original serial number.

I have my itunes stored on an external drive lettered "E". How can I move them to my new computer. The external drive letter "E" is not available on the new computer but the hard drive is plenty large enough to hold my whole collection and I would like to install them on it. I have already copied my itunes music folder and libraries to the new computer.
    Thanks for any input.

This did not work. I signed into the iTunes store as the same user and I can still not play the music I purchased or the music I am authorized to play that others purchased. Can anyone help out with this question?
