Moving an object from $tmp

Hi Experts,
Suppose i saved an object by mistake in $tmp. How to move this object to quality.
plz give solution for this

Well everybody said the right thing i.e. if you want to transport any object from $tmp,you have to go to se38 and than-
1.Click on Goto->Object Directory Entry.
2.Click on change i.e. pencil icon and then,
3.Give your package name in the package option.
4.After that you are provided one transport request by the system.
5.Click on continue.
Through this way you can make the object transportable.
But may be sometimes you want one object only local i.e. not to transport($tmp),and mistakenly you make that object transportable.So in order to make it again local,you have to do following things:
1.Go to se09 or se10.
2.Display all the transport request made by you.
3.Now find your transport request in all these.
4.After that you find your program name in them.
5.Now delete that program.
6.After that you go to se38 and do the same procedure as do in your solution i.e. moving a object from $tmp.
7.Give your package name here as $tmp.
Through this way you can again make a object local.
If you don't follow the steps 1-5 than you are not able to make a object loacl again,because the object is locked by the transport request.

In se10 find your request and
Upper left corner - Request\task -> Complete check -> Object (syntax check) and Check Request Consistency.
This you can do for your request and all the tasks included in your request.
Note: Transport may still fail due to numerous reason (i.e) not all the objects needed are collected in the request,
but at atleast it gives some assurance that objects are not blocked in other requests etc...

Moving the object from one dimension to other in the cube in BI7.0

Hi Gurus,
I am new to BI7.0
We have a requirement wherein we need to move the object from one dimension to other dimension within same Infocube.I tried doing 'cut' and 'insert' from the context menu of the dimensions, but it didnt work.
Please let me know how do we do that..

Moving field object from one section to another programatically

How do I move text/field objects from one section to another at run time. The ReportObjects collection in the section is readonly and setting the left, top property of the ReportObject only seems to move object within the same section.
I'm using Crystal Reports version 10.5 that comes with VS 2008 professional.

The trial version will offer this capability. You can either use RAS (which is available with Crystal Reports, or Business Objects Enterprise), or the Crystal Reports engine. Which you use will depend on the target for your application, see this for some tips on that:

Moving repository objects from XI 3.0 to NEW PI 7.1 installation

When trying to import "old" tpz files from XI 3.0 to a new PI 7.1 installation it fails. I know that you can upgrade an existing 3.0 to PI 7.1, but is there any way to "just" convert the repository tpz files from 3.0 to 7.1 format

Are you sure the extport went well. We did a migration from 3.0 to 7.0 and then 7.1 and all the Objects were correctly imported.
Is the SLD and the ID also configured correctly ??

Moving/Exporting Seeburger configurations/objects from QA to Production

Hi,
I need some expert advise in moving Seeburger configuration objects like splitter adapter,AS2 adapter configurations from QA to Prod.
Our scenario is like this , in the Seeburger message splitter we have defined the splitter adapter based on the AS2ID for different vendors/suppliers/customers. now when we go live on couple of customers every week, we are manually creating/configuring the seeburger channels in production. Is there a way to do it automatically like Exporting the objects in XI from QA to Prod???

Hi Preeti,
For moving the congiguration objects from quality to production, you need to configure transport groups in the SLD so that when you are moving configuration objects from quality to production it will take Production R/3 system.
For Transport Groups check the below links

But you need to manually change AS2ID and Partner Number according to production environment in the Party which you configured for each customer in the ID.

Moving objects from USERS tablespace

Hi All,
I want to clean my database and this involves moving all objects from USERS tablespace to their respective tablespaces. I have following types of objects in my database:
INDEX
INDEX PARTITION
INDEX SUBPARTITION
LOBINDEX
LOBSEGMENT
TABLE
TABLE PARTITION
TABLE SUBPARTITION
Syntax of moving TABLES and INDEXES is pretty simple. But, since there are other objects like TABLE PARTITION, INDEX PARTITION etc. Can anybody help me in finding out what are the syntax of all the above objects movement?

Hi..
You need to use the SUBPARTITION <name> instead of PARTITON<name>
For partition
ALTER TABLE parts MOVE PARTITION abc TABLESPACE xyz parallel (degree 2);
For subpartition
ALTER TABLE parts MOVE SUBPARTITION def TABLESPACE xyz PARALLEL (DEGREE 2);
This is because every segment represents one and only one type of database object,such as a table, a partition of a partitioned tables etc.For partitioned table , every partition resides in its own segment.

Moving Objects from Layer to Layer

Yes I knwo this is probably a very naive question but I'm
learning Flash 8 here and it says nothing in the documentation
about moving an object from one to layer to another. I'm sure in
Flash 5 you selected the object and then simply clicked the layer
which you wanted it on. This seems to have changed and Adobe/MM
have forgotten to say how you do it now.

When you say "move" an object from layer to layer - you
simply want to cut the object on the stage
in one layer and paste it in place on another? You will have
to manually cut and paste it. Flash 5
or any previous version never had an "auto-move" feature,
esprcially the way you describe: "...you
selected the object and then simply clicked the layer which
you wanted it on..."
That type of functionality would be disasterous - if any
object on stage was selected and then you
clicked on a layer would force that object to move to that
layer, would cause major headaches and
render the program unusable - because 99% of the time, anyone
who was not wanting to move the object
would have a very hard time keeping them on the intended
layer while tying to use other features in
flash (like renaming layers, or moving the stacking order of
layers, or creating layer folders or
motion paths or mask layers, etc...
Are you really asking about "merging" 2 layers together?

Moving object from one client to another using transport requests...

Hi,
If we want to move one object from one client to another, we go to se09 and release it. I know this. But after release what are the next steps to move it from one system to another ?

Hello Rajesh
If the two systems share a common transport directory then you can simply go to transaction STMS, double-click on the import queue (target system), then choose menu Extras -> Other Requests -> Add.
The transport request will be added to the import buffer. Next you can import the request.
If the two systems do not share a common transport directory you can use RFC-enabled function module EPS_FTP_PUT to copy the data and cofile from the source to the target system (check for DIR_TRANS directories using transaction AL11).

If you're talking about migrating a universe, then it's easier.
Make sure you've go the latest version from the QA folder in the repository.
Now do a File Save As.
Navigate to the production folder and save in there.
Change the connection to point to the production connection.
Carry out an integrity check to make sure that everything still works.
Then save the universe and export it to the Production folder in the CMS.

Moving objects from one infoarea to the other infoarea.

I have created few objects like ODS , cubes and multiprovider under suppose InfoArea A.
But now I have to move all these to InfoArea B.
When I am trying to drag and drop these objects from InfoArea A to InfoArea B it is giving following message.

You have to maintain settings on RSADMINSV table.
1. Goto SM30 transaction.
2. Pass the table RSADMINSV and goto change mode.
3. Uncheck the Drag & Drop Off option.
4. Save and exit.

Moving objects from one schema to another

Hi,
again as part of my learning exercise, I was trying to move objects from a schema in 10GR2 to 11GR2 database.
I am able to use exp and imp commands to achieve this objective -
On source database -
$> exp userid=scott/tiger owner=(schemaname) file=data.dmp statistics=none
Copied the dump file on target server and then
$> imp userid=scott/tiger file=data.dmp fromuser=uname touser=scott
And this works fine.
What I am not able to understand is how I can achieve this by using datapump instead?

Worked perfectly.
This is what I did (in case someone is in my position)-
On source database-
expdp scott/tiger schemas=<source schema>directory=DATA_PUMP_DIR dumpfile=data.dmp job_name=some_job
Copied dump file to target server.
On target database-
$> impdp scott/tiger directory=DATA_PUMP_DIR dumpfile=data.dmp remap_schema=<source schema>:<target schema> job_name=imp_kob

Moving object from one transport request to another

Am Having one query that i have been done some changes in the report and saved on one transport reuest number,but one function module which i have beeen used in the program saved in diffrent request and it contains some other objects,now i can i individually move the FM to other transport request number,Give me some ideas.

If the requests are not yet released then you can delete the object from the TR manually and then add it to the other TR manually or tag by doing a minor change.For ex
TR 1 Objects list
REPORT ZXYZ
TR 2 Objects list
REPORT ZABC
FM ZZASDEF
1.If both the TRs are not released then remove the FM from the TR 2 manually and add it manually in TR 1,provided you know how to add the objects manually.
or
2.If both the TRs are not released then remove the FM from the TR 2 manually.Go to the corresponding objects of the FM do a minor change,save,activate.Now it will ask for a TR,at this time choose OWN REQUEST and select TR1.

Hi,
If you want to create new Package then go to SE80 T-code and create there.
To create new request go to RAS1-- Transport - select Object type -Select the object which you want to transport-select Transferred selection - before that give grouping and collection mode-there you will have option called Package select that and give your package after that it will ask you to create request.select create and give discretion and select save button.
Transporting : Go to SE09 and transport task first and then transport Request.
