Moving and copying selections - taking out a back drop

I want to take out a photo of lady in Chapter Moving and copying selections.....in a family photo - please

Try this in order to transfer a person from one picture to another
In Editor, go to the expert tab.
Open picture B, the one you wish to select something from to add to another picture.
Use one of the selection tools, e.g. selection brush, lasso tool, to select the object. You will see an outline ("marching ants") once the selection is complete
Go to Edit menu>copy to copy the selection to the clipboard
Open picture A, then go to Edit>paste
Use the move tool to position object from picture B.
In the layers palette you should see picture A as the background layer, and object B on a separate layer.
If you want to "remove" someone from a group shot, select something else from an adjacent area on the picture or from another picture, then copy/paste it on a blank layer at the top and position it with the move tool to cover over
For additional guidance, it would help if you post the picture and tell us precisely what you wish accomplish.

Moving and copying events and projects to an external hard drive using Imovie09-Source clip is missing

Some background on what I am doing is importing all of my home video into an event in IMovie. Since DVD's can only hold about 2 hours of footage, I am making a new project for each 2 hours so I can burn the footage onto a DVD. I want to make space on my internal hard drive so I am trying to move the projects that are completed to an external drive. Because I also don't want to lose any footage I have imported into the event I am also copying the home video event to the external drive. (didn't want to move it yet until I know what i am doing, just in case it is lost somehow).
I tried moving a project to the external drive (it was a slideshow for my daughters first birthday which contained photos and video clips from the event that was already copied to the external drive). The project did move to the external hard drive but on the video clips there is a yellow triangle that says source clip is missing. I am moving and copying from within Imovie and NOT the finder so I don't understand why it says the clip is missing when it is definitely a part of the event that is already on the external drive.
What is interesting is the source clip is missing error showed on the first birthday project but it did NOT show as an error when I moved the 2 hour home video project. (All of the video in these projects are coming from the same home video event)
I am trying to make sure that when I move the projects permanently off the internal hard drive and onto the external drive, that I am not losing any part of my projects. I want to be able to easily move them back and forth if needed without any missing files.
Any suggestions as to why I am still receiving the yellow triangle?

As I can't see what you are doing, I can't tell you what you might be doing wrong.
You could try trashing the preferences.
Many weird things happen as a result of corrupt preferences which can create a vast range of different symptoms, so whenever FCP X stops working properly in any way, trashing the preferences should be the first thing you do using this free app.

Shut down FCP X, open PreferenceManager and in the window that appears:-
1. Ensure that only FCP X is selected.
2. Click Trash
The job is done instantly and you can re-open FCP X.
There is absolutely no danger in trashing preferences and you can do it as often as you like.
The preferences are kept separately from FCP X and if there aren't any when FCP X opens it automatically creates new ones . . . instantly.

Moving and copying files in Bridge v4.0.4.2

CS5 Bridge crashes whenenver I try to move or copy files. It doesn't matter if I drag&drop or use copy/paste.
I have tried to correct using advice from a previous query made a couple of years ago but it does not improve the situation.
I am using Windows 7 with bags of memory.

I can say that I have a fairly extensive range of software on the machine and it is only Bridge which is giving me trouble.
It would help if we had a better idea of what drives/volumes you have on your computer, and how they are connected. For example: do you have any external hard drives? Do you have any network drives? Are your SATA drivers up-to-date?
It's fairly straightforward to check your disk integrity: open Windows Explorer, click Computer, and right click a drive, selecting Properties from the bottom of the list; on the Tools tab, click Check Now, then Start. Do this for every drive.
Try disconnecting your computer from the network and disabling your anti-virus software to see if that is causing your problem.
It is always worth updating graphics drivers, although it sound unlikely this is your problem. Maybe your system has driver update software?
You could ask the shop to help, but it might be wise to narrow down the problem first, or they could potentially spend hours looking at it.
The Event Viewer might be a good place to look too, look for red and yellow warnings in the Windows System and Application logs. Find Event Viewer by typing it into Start menu Search box.

Moving and Copying/Pasting Track Automation Data

Hello,
I am a fan of using track automation data to control the volume levels on the faders of my Audio Instrument tracks. I am NOT using the track automation assigned to regions, I am using the ones assigned to tracks. If I move a region, however, the automation data (not surprisingly) does not move with the track. What is the easiest way to move automation data on a track? Is there a way to shift all automation data over a specified amount of measures etc?
Furthermore, I would like to copy ALL of the track automation on one track, and move it to another track (and keep the relative distance between all nodes, etc equal). How can I do this?

I think you need to shift-drag select (rubber band select) the
automation stuff and when it's highlighted, hold option, click hold
drag and what you selected will be copied to the new location you
drag it to. You need to be pretty careful to option click hold
exactly on the automation line, if you miss it won't invoke the copy

Moving and Copying Plug Ins from one channel to another

According to p305 of the Logic manual, "Command dragging plug ins from one insert to another copies them along with all parameter settings" ( in the Audio Configuration window),
However when I do this it MOVES the settings and plug ins leaving the original track bereft...

I just moved and my laptop crapped out and the CD didn't survive the move.

The CD and Acrobat Pro IX product activation code didn't make it through the move. So I am screwed on two fronts. I like Acrobat IX and do not want to upgrade.
How can I obtain the installation program CD and activation code NOW?
Am I really screwed and my investment is lost forever OR is there any hope of recovery?

Nice, but when zoomed out to let's say 80%, then the increment is 1,25px. What gives?

I want to crate a variable for business rule using Variable designer for a specific plan type (for example plan1)
Entered the following
Name = Test
Type = Member
Value = Dimension (when i click to open the dimensions it show nothing) !!!
Previously it was working fine, my functional mate made some changes it dimension members of account like ( Account type , Data storage etc)

Select Checked Out Files Within Folder

So if I right-click on a folder and choose Select->Checked
Out Files it looks on the whole site for files that are checked
out. The same is true if I have it look for files modified in the
last x days. Is it possible to select only the files checked out
from a particular folder?
My site is quite large and I often work on a folder at a
time. Other editors may be changing other files, so I don't want to
check in the whole folder in case I haven't downloaded their

I'm Moving and I need a Mac Box!

I'm moving and I'm taking my iMac DV on a plane, (It's the old kind from 1999) and I need to know how to get a box and packaging for it. Anybody have any ideas? does anyone sell boxes like that? I hope this is in the right forum...

I think air travel for your iMac is rather risky and you should use ground shipping in my opinion. Reguardless make shure to insure it.
In getting a box I have no problem because we have a local box and shipping company that is willing to help the average consumer. They are independent of their services so you use any shipper if you so desire. You may need to check for local area for them. (For the life of me, I cannot remember the trade names of some of those companies (Post Offices Boxes -N- More?))

Paper coming out the back of printer

I had a notice on my printer that there was a paper jam. I found it and corrected it and now when I print anything, a blank sheet of paper comes out the BACK of the printer. I keep getting paper jam message and walk thru the steps but nothing works. When I get to the end of all of the stpes and run the printer report, the blank page comes out the back of the printer.

Welcome to the HP Forum.
I understand you are having a problem with pages coming out the back of your ENVY 120.
I would like to assist with this odd issue.
The problem I believe is with the printers duplexer (the part that allows two sided printing) and its cover.
Make sure that the cover is in place properly. If it is not it can cause the paper to misfeed,
and strangely enough come out the back of the printer.
Let me know if there is any issues with the cover.

I just downloaded IOS 8 on my Iphone 5 and to do so i had to delete all my photos to clear space, but before so I selected all of them and copied them. Now were can i go to paste all 400 of them and get them back ?

As razmee209 said, you can use iTunes to install photos on your phone from wherever you have them stored. Where did you copy them to? Are you saying you selected them on you phone and just hit "copy"? That would only copy one at a time to the "clipboard" so that you can paste it somewhere else. As you copy each one, the previous one is deleted from the clipboard. This is not a storage area. Did you back them up on your computer or in iCloud?

So my daughter plugged her ipad i to home pc to download music from itunes and it wiped everthing out of her ipad and copied my ipad from the last time I had mine plugged in. Is there anyway to get my info back like all her pictures?
