Moving answers in a quiz once they have been matched to a target in using drag and drop

Hi,
I am having a problem with some of my drag and drop quizzes that I'm wondering if anyone you might be able to help me with?
In some drag and drop quizzes I have created, using the Infosemantics drag and drop light widget in Captivate 5.5, I can move the answer after having matched it to a target but before submittting. Whereas in some quizzes I have created, the answers get stuck and do not let me move the answers after I have matched them to a target, even though I haven't submitted. This leaves me no choice but to clear all my answers and start again if I have made a mistake.
Please can you tell me how to enable the answers to move even after they have been placed on a target?

Pay particular attention to the section entitled: "My drag and drop question works correctly sometimes, but not other times. "
From the appearance of your slide, it looks like you may have removed some of the components from the quiz slide that are necessary for it to function correctly. Try the test that this section of the troubleshooting suggests so that you can see if this is the case. If it turns out that you have deleted some items, you'll need to recreate your quiz slide to get them back again.

Export them
File -> Export
to a folder on the desktop. From there copy them back to your camera.
Remember, the camera has a quite specific set up of folders, and you'll need to put the files back in the correct place for them to be viewable on the camera.

I have a heirarchical embedded folder structure under \Documents. Usually, as I drag the file to be moved over the various folders, they will blink twice, then expand/open to reveal contents (in Finder). Now, when the file to be moved is held (hovering) over the destination folder, it will not blink or expand, so there's no place to drop the file. If I release the mouse button, the file image disappears, showing that it is "going back to the place it came from", a.k.a. was not moved. This just started happening. I noticed it after upgrading to Mavericks. Is this a bug or could anything else be causing this?

As of today, Apple Support discovered during a remote support session with me that the same thing happens on their own system. It is isolated to "Column View"; the Icon and List views in Finder behave correctly. Issue is being escalated to engineering, and Apple will call to report status in a couple days. In all likelihood, this is a bug that will need to be addressed in a future update.

You really should be doing backups with an actual backup application, especially one that will work automatically, and, if your external HD is large enough, back up your entire system. These can automatically back up only what's changed since the previous backup, and some will keep "archive" copies of things you've changed or deleted, also.
Too many things can go wrong, such as your internal HD failing, and you'll have a major project to reinstall everything.
You already have Time Machine, built-in to OSX. You might want to review the Time Machine Tutorial, and perhaps browse Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.
#27 in the second link mentions some alternatives, too.

Where to find my pic after once they have been edited?

I want to print my pic using EasyShare by Kodak. I need for that to upload the pictures I edited in iPhoto. However I don't know which folder to look into.... It is so confusing with all these folders:data, modified, 2005, roll,... Apple needs to do something about the organisation of the photo media...

The iPhoto media is very simply organised. A Note about the iPhoto Library Folder:
In this folder there are various files, which are the Library itself and some ancillary files. Then you have three folders
Originals are the photos as they were downloaded from your camera or scanner.
(ii) Modified contains edited pics, shots that you have cropped, rotated or changed in any way.
This allows the Photos -> Revert to Original command - very useful if you don't like the changes you've made.
(iii) Data holds the thumbnails the the app needs to show you the photos in the iPhoto Window.
But there's no need whatever for you to root around in the iPhoto Library Folder at all. There are three ways (at least) to get files from the iPhoto Window.
1. Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3. Show File: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
I suggest that you use File -> Export which produces a copy of the pic, which you can then print and afterwards trash the copy - the Original is safe in iPhoto.

Your download or install of the update may have been corrupt. Visit the Mac App Store and re-download the update or visit http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1726 and download the 10.9.2 update combo and re-install.

Moving Rows in ADF Table Using Drag and Drop

I implemented a drag and drop functionality it works fine, I want to accomplish the following functionality:
The user selects the rows and what if he drags the selected rows and wants to move to section beyond the limit of the table I want to scroll the table in the direction the user is dragging.
I think it should be a default behavior in the ADF table but it doesn't, could you please anyone tell me how to scroll the table while dragging the selected rows?

What make you think that this is a default behavior?
Adf tables a data bound. So the data appears in an order (mostly defined by a sort condition on the db).
Even if you implement this behavior (which is possible but hard to do) you loose the new order by the next round trip to the db.
You may try to use trinidad tables but then you don't have the drag & drop featur (I guess).

Cannot change target sound in drag and drop to "no sound" once a default sound is selected in Captivate 8

I was trying out all the options for a drag and drop interaction in Captivate 8 and selected one of the default sounds for a target. I want to change it back to "no sound", but the selection never sticks. Is there something I'm missing or is this a "feature"?

When you go to the “Format” tab of the drag and drop properties, there is an option called “audio” (right below the “depth” option).
It has default sounds you can pick (sound1, sound2, sound3, and incorrect sound). Or you can browse to an audio file. If I select one of the default sounds, and then decide not to use any sound, it will not change to the “none” option. I have to delete the drag and drop interaction and start over.

My drag images disappear when they are dropped on a correct drop target during the drag and drop interaction.

What am I missing. The opacity is at 100%. The drop target is a highlighted box from objects. I am using Captivate 8.

Hi there,
You might want to make sure your Depth setting is not set to Back instead of Front on your drop target(s).
The Depth setting is accessed via the Drag and Drop window/panel under Format setting while you have your drop target selected.
If your Depth setting is set to Back, especially if your opacity is set to 100% on your highlight box/drop target, your drag image would go behind your drop target giving the effect of disappearing behind your highlight box - especially if the drop target is larger than the drag image.

How to copy and edit pages once they have been scanned to my desktop

I have a many page report I want to copy and send as one or more PDF files. I scan the page, remove it to my desktop and either slide it onto a blank pages or I Photo, where I make the print darker, etc. and export to my desktop..as file, jpeg document....tried them all.
Once on the desktop, it won't allow me to add or subtract any information...I can't even select all and copy it. I can't remember how I use to do this so I would come up with a copy that I could edit and also add several other pages to the bottom of the first page, to send as a pdf, rather than have to send each page separately.'
Is there a way to do this?

If you are at the point where you have several .jpg images that you want to turn into a single PDF document,
Open each .jpg image in Preview and Save As a PDF file.
Do that for all of them.
In Preview click on the sidebar and one image will be there.
From Finder, where reside your recently converted .jpgs to single PDFs drag one to be underneath the existing one and so forth untill all single PDFs are showing in the sidebar.
Get the focus back on Preview by clicking on it, and then Save As and that will produce one multi-page PDF document.
Note, The last image you converted will be the first image in the new PDF, so you might like to close Preview and then reopen it with the first image, just to make sure you get them in the desired order.

Can I retrieve single documents (keynote) to my iPad once they have been backed up to the iCloud?

I am using an iPad 2 to create presentations on keynote. I know have over 150 presentations and they are slowing the iPad down. I have backed them up to the iCloud and was then going to delete them from the iPad. However, I was not sure how to retrieve individual presentations, from the iCloud, back to the iPad, if I needed it again.

Don't delete them from the iPad. When you access a file, it's from a universal folder all devices can access. So if you delete it from one, it's gone from all. Just leave it be.
If you want to delete a file, make sure you have a hard copy of the given file saved to your computer. Then you will be safe to delete the file.

Having a hard time transferring photos from MacBook Pro once they have been cropped or colored enhanced to my iPhone or iPad. If they have not been manipulated then they transfer fine. How can I fix this?

Option 1:
Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for the iPod Photo Cache.
Trash it. Start iPhoto and try sync again.
If that fails:
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Use the option to check and repair library permissions

I am trying to put together a report, and was wondering where the iphone 4 is stored once being manufactured in asia? anywhere in the world, before being transported from there. thank you

I'd imagine the manufacturing center has some considerably storage capacity. I mean, it is not like they ship them out individually as they make them - they must store them long enough to assembly a full shipment (whether that means truckloads or planeloads or what I don't know). Plus any destined for carriers likely go from Apple's delivery line directly into some sort of central storage/delivery pipeline for each carrier, so who knows how it all sorts out?
No one here has any insider information on the detailed corporate logistic supply chain that Apple and its contracted manufacturers use.
