Moving bc to windows pc tower and back

So I have an odd perdicament where I have to clone my windows installation on bootcamp to a windows desktop computer (have work run some software installations) then clone that (modified) one back to my mac on bootcamp.
I've seen things on swapping from mac to mac but have found nothing about mac->PC->mac.
Any help?

Restore Computer Back to Vista after Windows 7 upgrade and back again?

I got Satellite L505-S6946 that came with Vista Home Premium installed (I immediately made backup-5 disks in all). I got the free Windows 7 upgrade disk from Toshiba and upgraded my laptop. I messed up and did not make the backup disks like I should have. I had to reinstall windows 7 more than once (shouldn't let others use my computer!) and it hasn't seem to run quite the same after reinstall. I also noticed that for a driver Intel ICH9 Family SMBus Controller 2930 it says no device driver installed. I didn't notice that before. And I have tried to install it. Whatever the cause, to me it just doesn't seem to run the same. I was wondering if I could go back and reinstall Vista from my disks and then upgrade to windows 7 with my upgrade again (and this time make backup copy!)? I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question but I am not really computer savvy. Thank You. Jakey58

Just adding my two cents worth...
We have lots of machines running Windows Vista. (I'm typing this message on one.) They work just fine. I never even consider upgrading them to Windows 7.
Just because the Geeks don't like Vista and just because Microsoft wants you to use the latest and greatest doesn't mean you must upgrade.
I've heard some people put solar panels on the shady side of the house where the neighbors can see them.

Windows to Mac and Back workflow

Here is the workflow:
Vegas Sony on Windows
.avi clips captured into Sony Vegas on Windows
clips copied onto external firewire drive
firewire drive goes to editor
editor works on MacBook Pro - Final Cut Pro 6
How does the firewire drive have to be formatted/partioned so both Windows and Mac can see the files as the firewire drive is passed back and forth?

On the Editor's Mac, install MacFuse, NTFS-3g (remember to restart the computer afterwards) and then iMount. With iMount, all he has to do is connect your external drive, drag the drive's icon over the iMount icon, and after about 15-20 seconds, your drive appears in the finder as a read and writable drive, where is he wants to edit anything, he can.
If all he needs to do is watch your footage, he can already do that in NTFS. If you're using video clips on your external drive, FAT32 is out of the question.

Windows to Mac and Back?

Just bought a new Mac (my old one was quite old and could not do iTunes).
I set up my iPod with my Windows PC.
Will I have to reformat it to work with Mac OS X iTunes?

Not necessarily Macs can read Windows formatting, however there are a couple of points you might want to consider. A Windows formatted iPod will load more slowly on a Mac and except in the case of the iPod shuffle, the iPod's firmware cannot be updated from Mac OS X without doing a restore.

I have moved my iTunes library to a new Windows 7 PC and cannot transfer music from the new iTunes PC to my iPhone. The iPhone only accepts transfers from the original iTunes PC.

I have come to understand that an iPhone can have only one "daddy" iTunes PC, but have not been able to find out how to change the "daddy". I have done a backup of the iPhone, and a "Restore to Original Settings". Then I restored the content using the new iTunes PC. My Apps and contacts, etc. are back on the iPhone, but it still won't accept music from the new iTunes PC.

HT1515 I have moved from windows to mac and had to reset my airport. I am trying it to join the existing wireless network. the process ends in an unexpected error. The ethernet connection seems to work OK

I have moved from windows to mac and had to reset my airport express. After the reset I enter the name of the existing network, name the base unit, enter its password twicw and select additional options as join the existing network. It comes back with a screen asking for the name of the base unit and password. Aftre which it starts cycling between "waiting for airport express", "connecting to 'network name'" and ends with an error message. When I try to set up using ethernet cable evrything works but I need wireless (it worked OK just hours ago). Any advice?

Sometimes a simple power cycle of the AirPort can resolve this issue. However, here is an article I would recommend going through when experiencing issues connecting to Wi-Fi.

Have you double checked to make sure it hasn't been moved to a different page or folder? Double check your iPod's Restrictions as well to make sure it hasn't been disabled. To do this, head to Settings -> General -> Restrictions.
Default Apps that came with your iPod or Apple's iOS cannot be removed.

I've stopped and started the service, and also have performed cold reboots.

When i create a new window, firefox Yanks me back to where i was and i dont want to be yanked back.

i duplicate current pages by create new windows on a very frequent basis;
to do this, i go to the top of the page that i want to duplicate and right-click and click on Open Link in New Window;
I specifically want to duplicate the page i am on in another Window, not a new tab;
Because
Duplicating the current page to Open Link in New Tab, gives tabs on the top of my screen;
Duplicating the current page to Open Link in New Window, gives 'tabs' on the bottom of my screen;
I want 'tabs' to show on the bottom of my screen and to do that i have to Open Link in New Window;
My question and What is happening, is that firefox is yanking me back to the page that i have just duplicated by right-clicking at the top of the page and clicking on Open Link in New Window;
When i create the new Window, firefox yanks me back to the page that i just duplicated and i dont want to be yanked back to that page;
I want to stay on the page that i just duplicated.
I have tried changing the way tabs work in Options but nothing checked or unchecked results in the specific way i want to have new Windows open and STAY on that newly created Window and not be YANKED back to the window i duplicated.

The original window did not have a Flash object, but does the window that hides itself contain a Flash object? That is the usual pattern for this bug in the plugin's protected mode feature.

Thanks but I already did read all of the help notes, which aren't very helpful for this. I did find out the problem- Apple.....they evidently changed one of the major upsides to their old software- being able to back up your entire library onto dvd's- so you can longer do that or restore from the dvds created from older versions of itunes. I suspect greed is at play in that Apple now wants you to pay $24.95 per year to use a "cloud" service where they back it up for you. I can buy a lifetime supply of back up dvds for one year's worth of cloud. So I am now looking into other music software as I am Appled-out. There is no reason for them to take away the back up portion of the software other than to sell you thrir cloud service. As we have already given them a ton of money for 5 Ipods and a bunch of music, I think we have contributed enough. Time to look to solutions outside of the Apple money tree. But thank you for reading and replying.
