Moving columns in Numbers - it's not letting me do it!

I seem to have this bizarre bug in Numbers, and it can't be normal behaviour. If I click on a column tab, it doesn't highlight the one column, it highlights the whole spreadsheet. Similarly, I can't select, say, cell D1 and drag the cursor down to D20 to select a column that way, because after highlighting so many cells, it will go and select the whole sheet.
I've searched the net for a solution and haven't found one, and the only thing I suspect is causing the problem is some merged cells. Problem is, I can't split the merged cells back into individuals, as after five or six attempts at doing it, it adds extra cells and messes up the spreadsheet (one I had to import as an Excel 2003 file since FAME doesn't do Numbers or CSV).
Any ideas? I'm stumped.

You will need to un-merge the cells first.
1. If you have an uneven number merge select the merged cell plus the next one and merge,
2. Once you have an even number of columns merged. Select the columns and make them all the same size....... then use the split command in the inspector. The split command only splits in Half.
Same system for merged rows.

TS2446 How do I change the credit card number in itunes, the system will not let me change the last four numbers for verification

the itunes will not allow me to change my credit card number it takes the acct #, the date but the four numbers on my american express are frozen.

I am stuck with a similar problem. I moved from Ireland to the UK but for some reason, iTunes would not let me change the country in my payment information, it remains Ireland. I do not have any credit to spend and I still cannot change it. I even set up a new iTunes account and the country still remains uncangable. Hence, I cannot add the details of my UK card as iTunes believes it is set in Ireland. Have you managed to solve your problem?

You can mark the rows starting with lower case letters using a formula, then filter on the contents of the column containing the formula. For the example below, the names are in column B and the formula is in column C.
C2: =IF(AND(CODE(B)>=95,CODE(B)<=122),"!!!","")
CODE returns the ASCII code for the first character in the target cell. Lower case letters have ASCII codes in the range specified in the formula: a = 95, z = 122
For names starting with characters in this range, the forula returns a string of three exclamation points. For any other initial character, the formula returns a null string ( "" ).
An empty cell in column B will cause the formula to return an error in that row of column C. You can avoid this by embedding the formula in an IF statement that suppresses the calculation if the length of the entry in column B is less than one character. Revised formula shown below.
C2: =IF(LEN(B)<1,"",IF(AND(CODE(B)>=95,CODE(B)<=122),"!!!",""))

This might help
Press the SETUP button on your printer's control panel.
Using the arrows, select DEVICE SETTINGS, press OK.
Select LAN SETTINGS and press OK.
Select Wireless LAN Setup and press OK.
If a message appears to press the WPS button, press STOP to cancel.
Select STANDARD SETUP from the next screen that appears and press OK.
Highlight your access point or router and press OK.
Press OK again to confirm the access point name.
Enter your passphrase using the keypad to the right.
At the screen where you enter your passphrase, in the top right corner of the LCD screen you should see a :1 . This indicates that you are in numeric entry mode. If you press the asterisk key (*) it will switch to :A or uppercase letter mode, pressing asterisk again with switch to lowercase letter mode. To enter a letter in either letter mode, you will press the associated number key to cycle through the available letters. For example: To enter a letter "c", you will press the "2" key three times.
Press OK when done.
The LCD screen will say "Connected" if the password is correct.

Ios 7 upgrade will not let me send text to certain mobile numbers. Apple allows you to create your own custom label for a phone number. In my case, I have a number of landline and mobile numbers connected to a business that I call constantly. There are a number of businesses set up this way in my Iphone. I have changed the name of the contacts in these businesses, be it landline or mobile. But now it seems that I cannot send a text to Mobiles that I have changed the name of, from MOBILE to the persons name. Even changing it to the persons name and then mobile beside it .
Anyone got any way around this

Hi Just got home and am sending you a screenshot of one f the contacts in my Ipone 4s with the ios 7 upgrade. Ive deleted a few of the numbers but you can see there are two of the mobiles on there. One has a persons name and one is just called mobile.
the one with the persons name no longer has the text box beside it which would normally allow me to text that person.
I did edit this contact and changed it back to "Mobile". I was then able to send a text as the text box was available for use

If I want to move one column from one position to another (say S to T), the formula loses the colums that was moved, i.e. it doesn't recognize it has moved, rather sees it as deleted... How can I do this without distorting the formula?

Given what is delivered with iBooks Author, I'm afraid that we will not get such easy to use documents.
Searching infos in the iBooks Author documentation available on line is awfully cumbersome and a lot of embedded links are wrongly flagged this way. In the Help files they aren't links but underlined strings.
It seems that the tool used to generate the web pages was wrongly configured.

When you sort playlists, you either ask for sorting on a certain criterion (ie, alphabetically by name), or you choose yourself. You can't mix both. To automatically sort, you click on the field/column you want (eg, Name, Date Added, etc). To manually sort, click on the heading for the very first column (the numbered column). Now you can drag tracks around as desired.

Why Will Facetime not let me sign in?

I got my iPod Touch 4 in San Francisco Apple Store, December 2010. Apple Store Rep helped me set it all up.
Everything has been working fine, until a week or so ago when, out of the blue, my FaceTime just stopped working.
When I click on the FaceTime button, It stops at a screen with a couple options:
"Initiate session" (where my original email and passwords are already typed in)
and "Create new Session”
It keeps telling me my password is wrong when I never changed it. If I try to create a new session it says my Email account already exists!!
History:
I tried clicking on the initiate session while it keeps telling me my password is wrong.
I even erased the email address and the password and typed it all again, to make sure there us no extra spaces typed in there.
After several attempts, I signed in at Apple.com to change my password. I was not aware of the uppercase letter requirement for FaceTime, since an Apple Rep set my iPod up for me. So I created a new password with all small case letters and a few numbers. I still could not sign in facetime, although I could update other apps, enter my account at Apple.com etc.
So a friend of mine told me to change the password back to what it was (including the upper case letter). I did so. Still I can not not sign in -- "wrong password,” it says! (I guess the email is correct, since FaceTime does not say anything about the email, it even prompts me with the correct email.
I then tried creating a new session, but then, during the process of creating the id, it tells me my password cannot be the same as my Apple ID. I am at a loss.
And when attempting to create a new session, Facetime tells me the Email account already exists. I even signed in this Forum with my original email and reset password used in iPod Apple ID, the same originally used with Facetime, which is the one my friend told me to reset here at Appleid admin.
So I can do everything with my email and password except get into FaceTime. How come?
Do I need now a new E-Mail account and new password exclusively to access FaceTime. This sounds ridiculous!
I just cannot make my FaceTime work!
Can anyone help me? I have tried much of what some people has posted herein the discussion forum, such as the uppercase + number password, the DNS change to match my router, and/or the one from google; also I made sure there is no Firewall in my modem. After all attempts nothing has changed, I never changed my password to start with when FaceTime started saying Wrong Password! FaceTime will not let me in and nothing can make it work. I am abroad now, there is no Genius Apple Store where I am! Also my warranty to telephone assistance with Apple has expired! Please somebody who knows the secret to access FaceTime, I need help!

Same thing happened to me. My son's iPod touch suddenly started indicating that my "username or PW had changed" or was "incorrect" so I paid Apple $30 to find out that all that was required was updating the software by plugging his iPod into my computer & syncing with iTunes. My problem was then solved.

The first thing you need to do is to read your file in as a spreadsheet file. Then, you display it in a chart.
That sounds simple, but looking at your dataset, there's a few things you should know. First, the "read from spreadsheet VI" is looking for data in columns, like your data set, but columns separated by tabs. Therefore, your data must be saved that way; currently, it doesn't seem that it is. Another thing; you must skip the header portion (labels) of your file when reading.
Next, it would be easier if your time was first, and your data was second in your columns, but that can be overcome. In the VI I am including, I have copied your data set into a file called data.txt, and I've removed the header and separated the columns with a tab. Then, I read in the data, and I break out each column so I can put the time first, and then I combine them again into a cluster so it can be displayed on an XY chart.

"I noticed that you changed your file format according to what was said here. Yes, this new file of yours is easier to use but your original file does not have to be changed. Take a look at this example. I now added the file-read part. It will give you a dialog to locate your data file (use this VI with your original file with the header since this VI includes a string split function). Hope this helps. /Mikael"

I intend to read from a .txt file that contains a column of numbers. After reading I want to display it as a waveform. In fact the numbers represent points along a waveform/graph of Flow vs. time. Thus I want to have this info in the chart or graph with flow in the y0axis and time in the x-axis. Can someone give me some detailed help please? Thank you in advance.

All you have to do is use Read From Spreadsheet File.vi that's on the File I/O palette. For your example .txt, set the Transpose input to true and wire the First Row output to a waveform graph. The only problem I see is that since your file doesn't contain any sampling info, the time axis will be relative. If have that information elsewhere, then you can put a build waveform function between the read and the graph. Wire the First Row output to the Y input Build Waveform and add t0 and dt values. I've attached an example.

I'm getting this error while updating an item in a 11.5.10 instance using the PL/SQL API call EGO_ITEM_PUB.PROCESS_ITEM:
The columns PRIMARY_UNIT_OF_MEASURE and ENGINEERING_ITEM_FLAG are not updatable
Does anybody know what this is about? I'm not passing any of those values (not even sure if there is an ENGINEERING_ITEM_FLAG at all). I found this note, but I'm not sure if it is related to my problem in any way:

Moving columns in JTable

hi all
i'm having a slight problem after i've moved a column within my JTable, i need to reallocate the column index numbers. i'm using a sorter for the data, so when i move a column and select another column (or that one) it sorts a different column to the one selected based on the original (pre-move) indexes ( i do hope that makes some sense).
i have a mouseDragged listener which works fine when moving a column, i just now need to add the index changes for all columns to it but i keep coming up with very very bad code that doesn't work.
any suggestions would be most appreciated.

i've actually been fiddling with those and that is actually where my problem lies.
i use the following:
int viewColumn = columnModel.getColumnIndexAtX(e.getX());
int column = tableView.convertColumnIndexToModel(viewColumn);
the sorter then works on "column".
problem is, that when the column is moved, the viewColumn changes, but the column value remains the same. i've also tried sorting on the view column but then it gets even more confused.
i just can't seem to figure it out...
