Moving contact center and mac licensing

Hello all. I am getting ready to move UCCX 8.5 to a new host and datastore in vmware. Since moving this will re-assign a mac address, I assume my license will become invalid. Do I need to manually edit the vmware settings so that it maintains the same mac address before powering this machine on in the new location? I assume this is necessary for vmotion as well. Thanks!

After you change your CCX settings, you will go into grace period, simply contact [email protected] for the licenses to be rehosted.

What version are you looking at? In R12, the contact center allows pulling up an employee record and then you can log a service request.
In 11.5.10, you can use service request form or HTML Service pages to create service request for HR Help desk requests.

Please help any ideas regarding iTunes U and how I should direct the meeting tomorrow.

Contact photo and .mac

Hello,
I have contacts in the address book with photos and after sync address book with dot.mac I cannot see photos in my contacts.
Please advise how I can sync photos with dot.mac.

You cannot, as this feature is not yet implemented. You can synchronize contact images through .Mac to another Macintosh desktop or portable computer using .Mac Sync, and while they are stored at .Mac in your account, they are not displayed. This is a server-side issue that will not change until Apple implements the feature.

Error Syncing Contacts - 8330 and Mac Blackberry Desktop Manager

I am running Mac OS X 10.6.2, Blackberry 8330 version 4.5.0.127, and Blackberry Desktop Manager version 1.0.2 (build 8)
I get an error message when trying to sync my contacts to Entourage. Also, unlike calendar and task option windows, I do not get any selection options.
Any help would be appreciated.

How to go about pursuing Contact Center

I wish to pursue Contact Center and CVPI.
I would like to know what are the per-requisite for these specialized voice course.
Kindly suggest a path of different technologies needed for UCCE.
ICM and IP IVR are separate module or are they covered in dept in CVPI or UCCE?
Please suggest how to go about pursuing my goal.

UCCE is an umbrella solution that includes ICM (central controllers, PGs, AW, HDS) as ACD, then you have CVP as the IVR working with VXML GWs, CUCM as PBX, CUIC for reporting (or 3rd party), Finesse or CTI OS, or CAD for agent desktop, optional CUSP as SIP proxy and bunch of 3rd parties if needed for call recording, workfrce management, wallboard, etc, etc.
ICM can also run outside of UCCE integrated with 3rd party ACDs, but this is more rare in recent years.

ICI BCB Contact Center Integration

We are trying to integrate Solidus eCare 5.0 with SAP CRM 2007 for the IC WebClient scenario. We are facing some problems in the test of the connection between the Contact Center and SAP using the Business Communication Broker (BCB) of the Integrated Communication Interface (ICI). All the parametrization has been done in the SAP side. Up this moment the result of the test is "Failed". It looks like we are not sending any parameter in the IciSystem_exchangeProductInformation method, and we should send the ICI version. Could you please help us with this problem?

CONTACT CENTER + SOCIALMINER HW

I'm proposing to a customer a Call Center system with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unified Contact Center Express and Cisco SocialMiner (for about 50 agents).
I have read that:
Cisco will support SocialMiner deployment on any hardware provided SocialMiner is installed within the Cisco provided VMWare OVF.
So I was thinking of offering 2 x UCS-C200M2-VCD2 with CUCM, Contact Center and SocialMiner corresident in both machines. Is this a valid configuration? If not, what could it be the cheapest option?

All products support these servers (@ given versions), but you must determine which OVAs will be used and map them against capacity of these servers. For example, the SocialMiner OVA is 4 vCPU taking 1/2 the CPU capacity of a C200M2 alone (2 x 4 core CPUs = 8 vCPU capacity).

How to sync contacts, music, and movies from iPhone to new mac and unsync from old PC?

Hi, I know this question has been asked a lot but for some reason I could not get a clear understanding of what everyone was talking about and my situation might be a tad different.
So I already had an iPhone that was synced to my dell PC. I just got a new macbook pro retina and now I'm trying to transfer my contacts, movies, and music to my mac from my iPhone. However I keep getting a message that says if I sync to this mac then all of my stuff will be deleted from my iPhone. (I am now aware that they mean only iTunes content, but those are still important to me). I still own my PC but there is no way I can connect my PC and Mac together. Is there a way possible that I could "unsync" my iPhone to my PC and sync it to the Mac without erasing the stuff from my iPhone? Are there other methods of syncing my iPhone to my new mac? My last question is that is it possible to transfer purchases from my mac to my iPhone even if it is or isn't synced to the PC or erased of content?
Hopefully this sounds coherent, and thank you all in advance for your help. I'm new to all of this and I really appreciate your time.

It is designed so syncing is one way only (with the exception of iTunes Store purchases) computer to phone. You need to transfer the library from the old computer to the new one so the phone is syncing back to the same library it used to or else it will request you erase the phone.
Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its sub-folders and files) intact to the other drive. Hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) and open iTunes. At the prompt to create or choose a library choose the copied iTunes folder.
You can use flash drive for copying, breaking it down into chunks if necessary but making sure they get re-assembled correctly again.
If this is to a new computer and you put the copied iTunes folder in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there. (Make sure there isn't anything already in the iTunes folder there that you want to keep since you will be replacing it with the one you are moving.)

Contact center license requirment

Our company have 5 different department and each of those have separate reception.
They requested to assign one single pstn number for each reception, with separate IVR and separate call handling.
each 5 departments need only few options via IVR for outside dialer(coming via the PSTN) (no need agents and contact center functions as current requirement)

can you please clarify me, what type of license required for implement this solution? ( number of agent license, ivr port etc..)

UCCX Standard Edition is quite a limited package, you won't be able to use features like CAD or Silent Monitoring/Recording. You can use Supervisor Desktop, but again, the features are limited, for a full view of features that you can use with Standard Edition, please check the document below:

Contacts - "On My Mac" and "iCloud" possible to sync?

Trying to sync contacts with my mac and my iOS devices through iCloud. It took me awhile to figure out what is actually happening here, even though it seems obvious now. Unfortunately I can find no way to do what I need.
Set up iCloud on iPad, iPhone, Safari on MacBook Pro, using fine. Noticed not all contacts syncing. Preferences on all devices say use iCloud, and use Mail and Contacts on all devices.
Finally noticed that on MacBook Pro Contacts, over on left page, at top left it says "All Contacts", under that "On my Mac", under that ""iCloud". Finally figured out that "On My Mac" contacts are separate from "iCloud" contacts (seems obvious). The contacts in "iCloud" are the only ones which sync with your iOS devices, and the MacBook Pro Mail program only adds contacts to "On My Mac" set. Yuck!
I can find no way to have contacts from Mail automatically add to the "iCloud" set of contacts instead of the "On My Mac" set. I cannot figure out how to get these contacts in the "On My Mac" set to sync to iCloud without some very fancy and complicated exporting, deleting, importing ALL contacts, and it is a lot easier just to type the contact info into a new card in the "iCloud" contact set, but I wish I could get iCloud to work automatically with Mail and "On My Mac" contacts, or find some setting or workaround so that I just don't even use or have the "On My Mac" contacts.
Does anyone know of some setting to allow me to use iCloud exclusively? That's why I want iCloud and Mac, to work together.
The way I often add contacts is:
In Safari, click an email link
In mail, a new email opens so I can send
click the triangle on the right end of the address in the "To" line
a box appears
scroll down to the bottom, "Show Contact Card" (this used to automatically open the address book, but Mountain Lion unfortunately added a step here)
A box appears
click upper right hand corner, "Open with Contacts"
Edit card as needed
Note: this card appears with the "All Contacts" line highlighted on the left hand side of left page
It is also in "On My Mac" set
It is NOT in "iCloud" set, therefore will not sync with iOS devices
Anyone know how to get Mail to put its created contacts into iCloud to start with?

Try setting up your iCloud account in the Contacts preferences. Contacts>Preferences>Accounts:
Click the "+" to add your iCloud account, and when you get to this screen:
In the "Account Type" field, use the dropdown to select iCloud, then add your iCloud sign-on info.
Don't know if this will work, but my Contacts book only has "All Contacts" listed on the left-hand page - there is no "On My Mac" or "On iCloud" listed at all....

OS X Lion. 10.7. Your profile says your running 10.6.8, which is Snow Leopard. You need 10.7 to use iCloud with your Mac.
