Moving DS application from BI platform to Netweaver Platform

HI All,
I have developed a Dashboard project with BW queries in Design Studio(1.3) application in BI BOBJ 4.1 SP 3 and its working fine.
All my data sources are BW queries.
Now we want to see if we can deploy the application directly on Netweaver  platform instead of BOBJ and create an Portal iView based out of Design Studio application.
Please let me know the steps to migrate the reports.
Thanks for your help,
Manju

Hi Tammy,
Thanks for the replay. In my case what I have done is when I created application.I have directly created it on BI platform not on my local and now I need to move this application to BW platform this is where I am stuck.
Please let me know if we have a way to download the application as a local application and upload it to BW platform or if I can directly move to BW platform
Thanks,
Manju

  • Moving web-application from WebLogic 10.0.0 to 10.3.3 - EJB Exception

    Hello all,
I've moved my web-application from weblogic 10.0.0 to the new platform with Weblogic 10.3.3. After this I had some JMSEceptions (unable to run JMS methods inside of servlet or EJB) and they were fixed. For now I got new exception:

Seems that it happened due to updating weblogic version (changes in jee, jms, ejb, jpa versions?). Could you please advice me how to fix this issue?
    Thanks, Ilya

I belive there is no problems for this change, because the versions are the same for java at least for OaS, for weblogic you should see documentation. I think you can try deploying you app to new environment if you get any noclassdeffound error or something like it then you could have problems for versions.

  • Moving Planning application from development to production

    Hello All,
Pretty sure this has been answered heaps of times but here goes...
I have dev and prod enviroments of planning and essbase - version 9.3.1
Dev and Prod have own shared services install and also own SQL Servers
EPMA is used in both environments.
I have a planning application in dev with forms, task lists, business rules etc and access assigments.
    * What would be the best method to move the application from dev to prod?
    * How could I refresh changes I make in dev to prod server eg. changes in EPMA - add new members, changes to forms and business rules?
    Appreciate your advice.
    Regards
    Dinesh

    Hi,
Try with this post to start with - Migration of Hyperion Planning Application
Version 9.3.1 EPMA migration on different shared services you would have to use the EPMA file generator to export to ads, then import the ads in the targe env.
Business rules export to XML through EAS, import on target (may have to update the XML because server names will be hardcoded)
    Cheers

  • Moving the application from dev to testing..

    Hi,
Now we are in a stage of Developing the application(Cube). How can we move the application from development server to testing server?

    HI,
    1. In your EAS , add both the analytic servers i.e of Development and testing .
    2. NOw, you can either use 'Migration wizard' or you can even copy the whole application from one to other , this will only take care of the meta data . It doesnt copy the data .
    3. For data, you got to export data ( without format and all data), and load it into the destination application . I recommend not to user any format option of export ,as you can do free form dataload without any rule file

  • Moving an Application

I moved an application from one folder inside Applications to a different folder inside Applications. I had to enter my Administrator password to do the move.
Why can't I move the application back to its original spot? Dragging it to its original location just makes a copy.
    I am running Snow Leopard.

    Traveler--
    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
We're all other Mac users here, sharing solutions.
    Ok, here's the deal.
Applications need to be free standing (not placed within a user-created folder).
Way back in OS 8.6, the habit was to create a user invented folder . . . say, "Internet Apps."
So you take all the browsers, Safari, IE, Camino, etc., and stick them in the user-created folder
    called "Internet whatever."
The problem with that is, when you update any of the apps within that folder,
none of them actually update, because the apps are in the whole wrong place.
What app are you moving, and what folders are you moving it from/to?
Did you create any of these folders?

  • Slow moving of a Flash application from background to foreground [cross-post]

I have created a "big" Flash application, ~150 MB RAM. When I
move this application from foreground to background and (after some
time) viceversa, I notice a considerable slowdown, i.e. for about
thirty seconds the application becomes unusable.
    This behavior occurs using:
    - Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and Mozilla Firefox 3 on
    Microsoft Windows XP
    - Mozilla Firefox 3 on Linux, and
    - Air on Linux and on Windows.
    Do you have any suggestions?

    An additional note:
I initially assumed that was caused the swap mechanism of my
    browser. Later I
discovered that, by default, Mozilla Firefox prevent Windows
from swapping out memory when the program is minimized (see option
    config.trim_on_minimize).
So I disable the paging system of Windows, but nothing has
    changed.
So I came to the conclusion that can not be due to the
swapping of the operating system or of the browser.
Do you know if the flash player has an internal swap
    mechanism?

  • Moving Application from Apex 2.2 to Apex 3.1

    Hi ,
I installed Apex 3.1 Successfully, its a FARESH Installation,
Now I have to import the Apex 2.2 Application into this New Apex 3.1,
Do I need to get the Schemas available in Apex 2.2 & get it Import into Apex 3.1 Database using Exp/Imp Utility
or Any specific mathod available to to move the Applications from
    Apex 2.2 to Apex 3.1
    Best Regards
    cnu

    Srinivas,
Export the schemas from one database and import them into the other using standard Oracle database facilities like exp/imp or Datapump.
Export your applications from the current Application Express database using the Application Express export pags. This will create files. Take those files and import/install them into your workspaces in the new database using the import/Install wizard. Export the workspaces first from the old database and import/install them into the new using the apex_admin application at each site.

  • Moving multiple queries from one category to another in QM

    Hi All,
Is there is any way of moving multiple queries from one category to another in the query manager?
Or is the only way of doing it by saving each one individually into a different category.
    Any ideas ?
    Regards,
    Rakesh N

    Hi Rakesh,
The query manager has limited function compare with normal file management applications. Under current design, you have to do this one by one. You just need to make sure move the smaller amount of queries to large category. Category name can be changed easily.
    Thanks,

    Hi
Issue 1: Regarding the deployment issue, do you see the line in your JWS?
    Following soapbinding annotation:
    @SOAPBinding(style=SOAPBinding.Style.DOCUMENT, use=SOAPBinding.Use.LITERAL,parameterStyle=SOAPBinding.ParameterStyle.BARE)
    Change it to
    following soapbinding annotation:
    @SOAPBinding(style=SOAPBinding.Style.DOCUMENT, use=SOAPBinding.Use.LITERAL,parameterStyle=SOAPBinding.ParameterStyle.WRAPPED)
it should deploy fine. This is a known issue and BARE style is unsupported as described at http://edocs.bea.com/workshop/docs92/relnotes/relnotes.html (look for CR283457)
    Here is what it says:
CR283457 - XBeans are not supported as parameters or return type for doc/lit/bare operations.
Use of Xbeans as a parameter or return type with doc/lit/bare bindings is not supported in operations or callbacks and will result in a failure during deployment.
    Platform: All
Workaround: Use doc/lit/wrapped for services that use XBeans as parameters or return types.
Issue 2: Failure on the client side
Are you using clientgen and a java client for the webservice?
I found a bug on the same issue CR340707 but it appears we don't support Xmlbeans with clientgen and was closed as NotSupported feature.

  • How do I move applications from an external HDD to rMBP?

    Hi all,
My late 2009 unibody Macbook met an unfortunate demise due to some spilled water (I think the logic board is dead), so I upgraded to a late 2013 13" rMBP. I wanted to move the applications on my Macbook onto the rMBP, so I purchased a cheap HDD enclosure with a USB 2.0 connection. After removing the HDD from the 2009 Macbook, I connected it to the rMBP where it showed up as Macintosh Harddrive on my desktop, so I was able to move several important documents over to the rMBP. But I can't quite figure out how to move my applications (Office, Keynote, Adobe, etc.) on to the rMBP.
I tried using Migration Assistant, but it made me move the old user profile on to the rMBP (I didn't want to write over the one I started for the rMBP), which I eventually just deleted (the migration took 4 hours, I couldn't find my applications, and I didn't want to have to switch profiles to use the applications anyway). What's the least painful, hardest-to-screw up method of moving applications from the old HDD to the rMBP? I thought about downloading each individual program again (I don't have the physical media anymore) and entering in the keys (which I have for Office). I also think I might have purchased and downloaded some applications through iTunes? Maybe I can re-download through there?
    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Migration assistant would actually be your best bet. While setting up Migration Assistant, it should ask you what you want to move, with tick boxes for Users, Applications, Settings, and "Other Files and Folders." Untick everything other than Applications, then they should install to your /applications folder. Photo #8 here (under the "Time machine or other disk" section) shows what I'm talking about.
Just dragging and dropping applications may work for SOME applications as they are packages, most need supporting files, preference files, etc...

  • Moved Photoshop Application to my Desktop for easy access and now recieving an error message, help?

Installed CS6 Design and Web Premium, then moved Photoshop Application to my Desktop from Program Files for easy access and now recieving an error message, saying application is unable to start correctly. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this please?

Move the application back where it belongs, with all it's support files.
You can make a SHORTCUT to the application, and place it on the desktop if you wish.

  • Link/checklist for migrating applications from Oracle 9i to Oracle 11g?Help

    Hi all,
We need to perform an impact analysis on migratiing an application from Oracle 9i to Oracle 11g. Does any of you have a detailed checklist to follow, in terms of queries, PL/SQL statements, optimizer etc. etc., when attempting this migration. We require something more specific from the application point of view rather than a DBA point of view.
Additionally, we have queries written extensively with rule hints. Should there be a special consideration for the same since now we are moving to CBO in 11g
Even if any one has a link, that would help. Thank you so much!

    Hi Nikhil,
    Thanks Xaheer,You're welcome :)
I'm going through the link: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e10819/toc.htm
But it still mentions stuff from a DBA angle. I need from an application angle.
Do I need to change my queries taht are current written with RBO? Do I need to change Pl/SQL blocks ?Please refer tech below notes:

  • Moving a system from MSSQL 2000 to MSSQL 2000 IA64

    Hi
We have a R/3 Enterprise 47x110 system running on MSSQL 2000/windows 32 bit. We want to change our hardware to 64 bit. According to platform availability matrix, we have to use mssql 2000 ia64/win2003 ia64 with this release. We want to know which procedure has to be used for moving a system from mssql 2000 32 bit to mssql 2000 ia64?

    Hello
Migrating an SAP system from Windows SQL IA32 to Windows SQL IA64 is a fairly simple procedure.
I have performed this migration myself several times.
You need to ensure that your source system (IA32) has the required support pack levels for SQL 2005
    I recommend you review 905634, 151603 and 683447.
I would strongly recommend that you move directly to SQL 2005 rather than SQL 2000.  SQL 2005 is fully supported and offers a lot of performance and administration features (such as snapshots).
SQL Data files are compatible between SQL platforms. By this I mean if you do an sp_detach on an SQL IA32 system you can sp_attach them to an SQL IA64 system without any special action.  The files are also compatible between SQL versions, you can detach from SQL 2000 and attach to SQL 2005.  This is described in section III of 799058.
    In your case I would:
    1.  Make sure you support packs are up to date on source system
    2.  Make sure you are using the correct collation 600027
    3.  Install 4.7 on your IA64 host from the install CDs
    4.  Update your IA64 system kernel to the correct level
    5.  Detach the "empty" DB from the IA64 host
    6.  Shutdown your IA32 system, stop SQL, start SQL and then stop SQL
    7.  Copy the datafiles and log files to the IA64 system
    8.  Attach them to your IA64 SQL 2005 system
    9.  Run the SQL Tools utility
    10. Start up your 4.7 instance
    11. Check SM21, ST04, SICK and DB02
    12. Reschedule your backups and DBCC
This procedure should work and should be quite simple to implement.  You can leave you IA32 system untouched, so if you experience any problems you have a fall back position (ie. just restart your IA32 system - nothing has changed on you IA32 system or its database).
I recommend you obtain the official SAP SQL 2005 CD, it includes SP1 and has a useful script call SQL4SAP.VBS that sets a lot of options for you automatically.
Check 879941 - you may need to adjust the torn page setting and auto_update_statistics_async settings or you will get red alerts in your CCMS tree.
For other people out there who use Java systems (EP, XI etc) you <b>will almost certainly</b> have to update your JDBC drivers. See note 639702.
Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.
    Goodluck
