I had the original Macromedia Dreamweaver 1. I have a website www.bodhicitta.net. I no longer have Dreamweaver 1, so I would like to know, do the recent editions of Dreamweaver recognise pages developed in Macromedia Dreamweaver 1.

If you intend to use DW, my advice is to learn all you can about modern HTML5 and CSS code. This is required learning to use DW. Without a working knowledge of code basics, DW's learning curve will be very steep and frustrating. If you understand HTML and it's relationship with CSS code, DW isn't that difficult to learn.

That said, if code isn't your thing, you might be happier starting over with Adobe Muse which is aimed at non-coders who prefer a visual interface. MU isn't as powerful as DW but it might be all you need to rebuild your web site. MU is also available from the Creative Cloud for 30 day free trial.

Cisco 1141N AP upgrading from 12.4 to the latest version 12.x

I purchased the 1141n AP. Last year when in May, I called Cisco support for help. He told me it, the 1141n would not works alone, it needs the controller. However, He also stated that the new version of IOS will be working as the access point alone.
So I have it, donwload the latest software c1140-k9w7-tar.124-21a.JY.tar from Cisco.com.
Is this the correct version for 1141N and can it work as stand alone now, or acting as the extended WDS extended from the other AP like Apple Extreme.?

Did you buy a 1141LAP or 1141AP? If you bought an LAP, you are going to have to transfer that IOS image you downloaded to your 1141 using xmodem, TFTP, or borrow your buddy's controller, associate your lwap to it, and revert it to IOS. I don't recall how to do it using xmodem (it's a pain and takes forever anyway), but here's the documentation of how to do it using a TFTP server:

If you bought a 1141AP, you're in luck! Just plug that bad boy into your router, grab the ip, navigate to the http server of it using that ip, and configure away using the web gui! From there, you can even upgrade to the latest version of IOS very easily!

Do I have to pay to upgrade from iPhoto '09 to the latest version?

I just bought my first iPhone (the 6), and I want to automatically transfer photos from my (and my wife's) iPhone 6, to iPhoto. I am using iPhoto '09 and I believe I have to upgrade it to the latest version to make that happen. I went to the App store to upgrade, but it wants to charge me $14.99. I thought we didn't have to pay for upgrades any longer if we owned a legit previous version (came pre-installed when I bought my Mac in 2009. Can anyone shed any light on this? You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Do you have experience with Adobe Revel moving files from an iMac to the "cloud"?

Over the past few months, Adobe has been moving photo files from personal MACs into their cloud space (Adobe Revel). They have just hit my computer this weekend. Is there a way using the Apple operating system to find out the names of the files Adobe moved?

I can tell you with certainty that for documents of any kind "GoodReader" is an excellent app. It will let you connect to your mac via wi-fi. It mounts it as an external drive and you can create folders and drag files to the folders.
I haven't tried dragging any movies or music but there wouldn't be anything to stop you from doing so. There is also a file management component to the app that lets you choose an "Open with ... " type of dialog and open a file with pages if it is a .doc file, or GoodReader can open pdf, doc, xls and many other doc types.
Very happy with this .99 cent app. I agree with the other question though. If I rip a dvd, I use handbrake to convert to mp4 and add to my iTunes - then sync as per normal.

I was looking in the shop and it only gives the option to upgrade from 9 on. We have 13 Acrobat 8 licenses that we would like to upgrade if possible. Any suggestions?

"Import" bookmarks (e.g. from Safari) disappeared for the latest version of Firefox. How do I do it?

I'm using 8.0.1 Firefox and OS 10.6.8 in my Mac Pro. I've been using Firefox's import function for years. I've tried reinstalling Firefox (& first dumping Firefox and its Application Support file). I'm also using Ghostery and Norton.

(1) Choose "Show All Bookmarks".
(2) Click on the strange, rightmost, star-shaped icon at the top left of the Library window.

Following the help instructions I manually copied my bookmarks but windows 7 on my new computer doesn't recognize the .json file created, both computers have the latest version of Firefox.

Windows doesn't have any program association for .json files, but Firefox still should be able to import them.

Continuous raster is not working for imported Illustrator files - I am working on the latest versions of both. I tried importing a simple graphic and having it continuously raster, nothing else, and it won't work.

I set up my file in Illustrator as a video file, same size as the AfterEffects file I'm working on - but the continuous raster button doesn't work. Any ideas?

If you have applied raster layer effects in illustrator, then it won't work because you no longer have a vector image.
What is the zoom factor of your composition window? What is the resolution of your comp window? If you would post a screenshot of your composition with the properties of the layers in question revealed by pressing the u key twice maybe we would have a clue what you are doing wrong. It's quite difficult to come up with an answer with out some details. We need more details.

Unable to open pdf files even though have installed the latest version of adobe reader

New computer. Old computer had windows 7, new one has windows 8. On the old computer I can open the files, and I can download fillable forms and save them. On the new computer I can not open some files, and the fillable forms will only save empty, not completed.

While importing and burning some CDs, my entire library has disappeared. Also, there no longer is a "burn file to disc" command in the File menu. I have downloaded the latest version of itunes which restored only tracks I bought from the iTunes store.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
Alternatively, depending on exactly when and why the library went missing, there may be a more recent .tmp file in the main iTunes folder that can be copied & renamed as iTunes Library.itl to restore the library to an earlier state. Look for a recent .tmp file that is similar in size to the .itl files in the Previous iTunes Libraries folder. If it has happened repeatedly you may want the earliest such file generated since the last iTunes upgrade.
If applicable, see iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
I've noticed more of these missing library posts of late and a common factor to most since I started asking is AVG Anti-Virus. It seems in some cases it might be at least part of the reason why the library file disappears. Try excluding the iTunes folder from any AV scanning process.
