Moving folders to the root of the mailbox

Is there a way to move a folder from being a subfolder back to the root of the mailbox. I have accidentally moved one of my root folders into another root folder making it a subfolder. I can change it on the exchange server through the web interface, but this takes them out of Alphabetical order.

In Mail? Yes. Just click and hold the folder, and drag it up to between two top-level folders you get a "lollipop" place indicator that has the circle just left of those top-level folder icons.
Then you can move it down the list again to the right position. You might need to collapse the folder trees temporarily to place it exactly where you wish.

    I need to create a new folder for a select set of users.  This folder needs to be off the root of their mailbox.  I  considered using a custom managed folder but we do not have the enterprise CAL’s to support this option.  I only have
    about 15 users so I could do this one by one if needed.  I am not a powershell user but have been using the Exchange Management Shell and would like to us this app to create the folders but I’m not finding the right syntax for the new-mailboxfolder cmdlet.
    What is the correct method for using the EMS to create a new folder in a mailbox.

    I was checking back thru my notes and seem to remember running this cmdlet:
    [PS] C:\Users\administrator.STOUSE\Desktop>get-mailboxPermission | FL
    cmdlet Get-MailboxPermission at command pipeline position 1

  • GotoAndStop at the the root of the timeline

    HI
    I have a movie clip with onRollOver and onRollOut script
    attached. When clicked I would like the root of the timeline to
    move to a different label. At present I have tried the following
    first script on the MC to move the root timeline, however this is
    not working and I assume this is due to the complexity of the movie
    clip:
    I have therefore used the following 2nd script for the first
    frame of the timeline within the MC which works with getURL but I
    am unable to get it to work with moving the root of the timeline.
    Do I need to add .root somewhere? Thanks

    Here is the answer:

  • Office 365 Files REST API - Get direct children in the root of the default document library

    I'm trying to work with Office 365 Files REST API which works just fine except one thing that I'm struggling with.
    What I need for my application is to make an explorer like browse capability for OneDrive for business Document Library.
    My problem is that I don't know how to get the direct children in the root of the Document library
    The API request
    GET ../_api/files will
    retrieve all files and folders in the default document library, including files and folders from sub-directories.
    What I need is basically the functionality of the API request
    GET ../_api/files(<folder_path>)/Children
    that works also for the root folder of the Document library. The problem is that I couldn't find a way set <folder_path> as the root folder.
    I found out that the API call ../_api/web/getfolderbyserverrelativeurl(<folder_server_relative_path>)/Folders and _api/web/getfolderbyserverrelativeurl(<folder_server_relative_path>)/Files works as expected resulting the only the direct
    children of the root folder if the folder_server_relative_path is the path of the document library. The problem with this API call is that it's requires server relative path of the (default) document library (which i don't have) and the result has a different
    schema compared to the ../_api/files REST API call.
    Can somebody help me with this problem?
    David

    First thanks for the fast answer. Let me explain my use case in more details.
    I'm trying to work with the new summer release of the
    Office 365 API tool for Visual Studio 2013 (update 3)
    I found no reasonable way to retrieve the direct children of the root folder from my One Drive for business Document Library using the newly added SharePointClient library.
    The API call of `SharePointClient.Files` will retrieve all the files and folders from the whole document library including sub-folders. So in order to get only the direct children I have to page through all the documents and folders and analyze their URL, which
    is not acceptable for my application scenario. For a sub-folder I can get the direct children like this: `SharePointClient.Files["<folder_id>"].ToFolder().Children` This is what I need but it can't be applied to the root folder.
    So what I did I've checked what REST API calls this library makes and I've tried to find out if there is a way to achieve my goal at least using direct REST API call. It seems like the functionality is missing from the REST API itself.
    The http://site
    url/_api/web/lists/GetByTitle(‘libraryname’)/items API call also retrieves all the items hierarchy from the library (including items from sub-folders) and the result XML "schema" (fields and the meaning of the ID) differs from the one used
    by the calls by SharePointClient library. (for example the "Id" is a number when the /items is called but when
    /_api/files is called the "Id" is the relative path to the document library)
    Basically what I need can be achieved with the call to http://site url/_api/web/lists/GetByTitle(‘libraryname’)/rootfolder/files and http://site
    url/_api/web/lists/GetByTitle(‘libraryname’)/rootfolder/folders but again the schema of the result differs from the one used in SharePointClient
    library. This means that in order to get  the direct children of the root I will need to re-implement a good part of the SharePointClient library. It seams like there is 2 kind of REST API is implemented. ( missing  "Id" and "url"
    fields, etc)
    Also there is no convenient way to get the Name or the GUID of the default document library which the SharePointClient.Files
    (https://site_url/_api/file) automatically
    uses. The DiscoveryContext.DiscoverCapability for "MyFiles" doesn't gives any hint either.

  • Accessing files outside the root of the site.

    Hi All
    On my web host space I have access to a directory outside the
    root of the
    website i.e. "private"
    I want to store files there for download after users have
    purchased them.
    I want to put them here to stop people ripping the files off
    by guessing the
    link or useing a website copier.
    What I plan to do is send a link to the user via email, this
    link will then
    go to a download page which records the user has accessed the
    file and then
    have the page automatically download the file.
    I can do this no problem if I have the files in a directory
    under the root
    of the site but how can I link to the files outside the root?
    TIA

  • Simplest way to have a portlet link to the root of the knowlege directory?

    We have the knowlege directory unavailable in our navigation. What is this simplest way to create a portlet that permits a user to link to the root of the directory?
    I created a simple html file and attmpted to use different transformer tags but ran into problems, like did not know the user's id so linked in as guest, etc. Is there an undocumented transformer tag that can send me to the knowlege directory?
    I attempted to append
    server.pt?space=Dir&spaceID=2&parentname=CommunityPage&parentid=1&control=OpenSubFolder&DirMode=1&subfolderID=-1
    to a url where the portlet is hosted on the plumtree server. This works but reverts to guest.
    Does this really require the EDK?

    Once your widget is on the slide, it has complete control over the display tree. So what you can do is to move up the parent hierarchy until you find the slide (parent.parent.parent) and then re-parent yourselft or you popup window on top of the hierarchy by just calling addChild(). That works well for the static widgets. You just need to deal with the position being different on the slide so you'll have to juggle with localToGlobal() and globalToLocal().

  • How do I create a folder in the root of the server and put the file in it.

    I have seen this talked about but no detailed instructions on how to do that.
    Thanks

    The root of a webserver is the part to the right of your base URL.
    Connect to your webserver and locate the folder where you see the index.html file and the folder with yoursitename.
    That's the root.
    It's the default location where iWeb publishes its pages. The folder you specify in the pathname field when you setup a FTP account.
    With MobileMe and Personal Domain enabled it is the iDisk > Web > Sites folder.
    The detailed instructions are as follows :
    Add a folder.

    Hi fokls,
    In my workflow notification , when I click on the notification to process it , it says ' 'Could not find function:' error.
    I found the this message is coming out from the Fnd_new_messages table from the message_name 'FND_FUNCTION_NOT_FOUND'.
    Here are my questions ...
    1. FND_FUNCTION_NOT_FOUND - Is it a oracle Seeded message ?
    2. If so the error I am getting is a oracle product Bug ?
    And In between , I am getting this error for few transaction only. ( out of 100 , i am getting this error at the rate of 5 per 100 ... or less)
    3 .If its a oracle product bug then , how is 95 out of 100 transaction are succssfully wokring ?
    4. If is a custom bug , how it os not though for some other 95 transaction ?
    5. Can I expect it as Data issue ? If so what kind of data issue.
    Folks , any kind of info will be really , realy helpful for me ... please let me know your inputs for me.
    Thansk to all in advance
    Raghu

    In the error message 'Could not find function:' after colon what function name it is giving.
    'FND_FUNCTION_NOT_FOUND' is a seeded message only.
    As you are saying the error was throwing only for 5% or less notifications, is the error throwing for same kind of notifications? I mean the item type and message are same for these erroneous notifications?
    It can be that some function in particular type of workflow is error-ed out does not exists, when responding to those kind of notifications it might be throwing error.
    Please check that.

  • Can't access Itunes store, but Itunes work, trying to find the root of the problem.

    Ok, so I have been having the common issue of not being able to access the itunes store even though Itunes works.  I know the "netsh winsock reset" works to cause the problem but that is only a temporary solution for me.  The problem is after I do the restart and I log back on, I get a pop up.  It reads as follows.
    User Account Controls
    Program: XenoConfig.exe
    Publisher: Unknown
    File Origin: Harddrive
    Location: "Program files (x86)\Bigfoot networks\xeno suite\xeno config.exe" - enable offload.
    If choose yes then my itunes store does not work, but if I select no then Itunes store works fine, only problem is I get this prompt everytime I log on until I say yes.
    Anyone know what this means or this program does?  I know it has to do with my ethernet card, after that I'm stumped.  Anyone with antype of fix would be a great help!
    Thanks

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
    (Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 &amp; above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
    In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
    If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
    Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
    If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

    I want the contents of the Inbox to display in the right hand pane, whenever I click on on the root of a mailbox/account. (without showing the Email, Accounts, Advanced Features splash screen - ever. Is there a way to configure Thunderbird to behave like this? I notice that Postbox does behave the way I want by default.

For some reason now, whenever I rip a CD with iTunes it doesn't put the new CD folder "Artist/Album" in the Music folder anymore but in the root directory! Whenever I play a track it takes the track out of it's folder in Music, makes a new Artist/Album" folder IN THE ROOT DIRECTORY and puts it in there. Everytime I play Itunes I have to spend half an hour reorganising my folders by hand! Can someone PLEASE tell me what is going on here?

  • Absolute and relative addressing for stylesheets: issue with IE6 and pages not in the root

    The following conditional comment gives me a problem when I arrange my site into folders (instead of all pages in one directory, or all in the root). The directories are built according to the site hierarchy.
    <!--[if lte IE6]>
    <link rel="stylesheet" media="all" type="text/css" href="../styles/dropdown_ie.css />
    <![endif]-->
    <!--[if IE]>
    My homepage is in the rootfolder, the dropdown_ie.css is in the folder "styles".
    I use the dropdown menu from Stu Nichols http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menus/dd_valid.html and this works as long as all pages are in the same folder (or, in my case, as long as they all are together with the homepage in the rootfolder). But when pages are in different folders, the dropdown_ie.css is not read anymore when using IE6. Other browsers are ok; for those I use:
    <style type="text/css">
    <!--
    @import url("../styles/flyout.css");
    @import url("../styles/dropdown.css");
    -->
    </style>
    What do you suggest I do to get the pages not in the root to read the dropdown_ie.css file when using IE6?
    And I have a feeling that the way I import the styles may not be right, but I am not sure.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Erik

    I solved this one by changing the relative addressing of my stylesheet location in absolute addressing. And I had to do this not only for the stylesheet, but for all addressing in the html related to this drop down menu:
    href="http://mysafety.be/styles/dropdown_ie.css"
    Changing the location of my files into subdirectories (and removing the spaces in the file names) also means that all my google indexing got screwed up; I submitted to google the whole list of addresses for removal from their cache. It will be another 4 weeks before everything is indexed correctly again, but I guess I better do this now before the site becomes fully operational.

  • How do I use a button within a movieclip to go to the root?

    Hi there, I am new to flash and AS3 and need some help
    getting my buttons to work.
    I made a script for the file that i am working with that has
    buttons located within 2 movieclips. I want that button to load and
    image into a UILoader (problemLoader_mc) that I placed on the stage
    on the main timeline (the timeline that contains WeekBar_mc). The
    problem is that I don't know how to get to the root of the file to
    start a new directory to tell my function to load the image i want.
    I have tried multiple approaches including:
    MovieClip(root).problemLoader_mc.source = problemArray[0]
    MovieClip(parent).problemLoader_mc.source = problemArray[0]
    root.problemLoader_mc.source = problemArray[0]
    parent.problemLoader_mc.source = problemArray[0]
    (root as MovieClip).problemLoader_mc.source = problemArray[0]
    If anyone can help me out with this, I would greatly
    appreciate it, I am banging my head against a wall at the moment.
    (Also, please excuse my vague descriptions, I am still learning the
    official terms.)
    Here is the code that I have written that pertains to this
    problem:

    I have a mental block for reasoning things out as far as
    assigning the listener to an object two mc's away from the main
    timeline while having the function in the main timeline, so I may
    play with that on my own for awhile. One thing you didn't do
    though, was to pay the same attention to the problemArray[0]
    assignment in that function, which I assume also lives in the root.
    But here's what I'd do for the moment.
    Take all that code except the array and plant it in the
    timeline where WEEK1btn lives, modifying it as follows....
    WEEK1_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, pload1);
    function pload1(event:Event)
    MovieClip(this.parent.parent).problemLoader_mc.source =
    MovieClip(this.parent.parent).problemArray[0];
    I haven't utlized root myself yet, so I am not comfortable
    offering you a solution that attempts it.
