Moving from iTouch to iPhone. Want to synch purchased items. Is it possible?

I am buying an iPhone 3g. I've been using an iPod Touch 3G for 2 years. I don't want to lose all the apps that I have purchased and want to use them on my new phone. How can I save them to synch? Or do I lose them all? The iPod Touch will need to be restored to factory settings.

You won't use your Apps. When you sync the iPhone with iTunes you will be able to install any Apps that you want.

If the developers of the apps have followed Apple's guidelines, the data should be in the backup made in iTunes, so you should be able to just restore the iPhone 4S from the most recent backup of the iPod touch, re-sync your apps, and you should be good to go. If any of the data is critical, though, you may want to confirm with the developer of the app, just in case they have some special procedure.

If you restore via iTunes make sure that all the apps are in the iTunes library since they are not in the backup.

I own a first gen itouch whick I've had for quite a while and over the years I've purchased all kinds of things from music to short films........how do I get all of those purchases on to my two new current gen itouches? I was able to find and see all of my purchases since 2008 but don't know how to get it and download all of it. Can you help me?

This I purchased again exchange offer of my OLD 4S. In my OLD phone, Facetime was working nicely from Bahrain and I used to use it to talk with my son in Australia. Now in iPhone 55, it is not there.

Facetime is permanentely disabled from all phones legitametely sold in KSA and UAE. You will not be able to get FT working even if you are out of the UAE. Contact the seller to see if they will accept the phone as a return. There is nothing anyone here can do. This is between you and the seller.

Issues since I moved from MobleMe to iCloud; e.g. synch with Apple TV, sending photos on e-mail, etc.

I have an Apple TV, an iPhone, a MacBook, a mini iPad and aTime Machine. I use my Time Machine as a wireless router. Since I switched from MobleMe to ICloud, I have had all kinds of issues. Example: things don't always synch. Have not been able to see recent photos I downloaded from iPhone and a digital camera on my Apple TV.
I have trouble sending i-photos to e-mail, synching with Apple TV, or moving photos to Flicker. When I send photos via eMail it still shows my address as <MobleMe [email protected]>. Then I troubleshooted. I thought I fixed it by fully migrating to iCloud, as it gave me message that it still allowed me to move photos to iCloud, even though MobleMe was no longer functional. But, it did it again when I tried to send iPhotos. It showed my address in the e-mail sender field as MobleMe <[email protected]>, but it still gave me same error message that I could not send it. There is a drop down in the field, but there are no other options, not can I change it. How do I get rid of the MobleMe before my e-mail @mac.com address?

The problem is with your router, so the Apple supprot forum can not really help. If they are connecting to the same router it should not matter if you use WiFi or eithernet it is the same network either way.

Transfering stuff from itouch to iphone

Ok, family member just bought an iphone, she wants to transfer all her music and apps that she has on her itouch to her iphone. I went to itunes plugged it all in and tried to sync them, drag and drop, all that good stuff and none of it worked. Read somewhere that because she bought the music and apps from the itunes store on her itouch that she won't be able to move to her laptop or iphone? Is this true? If not what do we do to transfer the stuff over?

Bear in mind the following points:
Make sure your touch's software is up to date!
Make sure you're running the most current version of itunes!
Regarding photos on your touch, the photo sync is one way - computer to iphone. The iphone does not support disk mode like an ipod.
Same with music, from computer to your phone.
Now, make sure that auto sync is disabled when an ipod/iphone is connected in itunes under preferences.
Make sure you authorize your computer Store>authorize this computer.
Next, connect your touch, go up to file, transfer purchases made on this ipod to this computer. iTunes will now transfer all purchased music & apps to your desktop. Music you ripped on your own will not be transferred, you'll have to restore that from a backup.
After that's done, right click your touch in the device pane and select create backup.
Once that's done, eject your touch-DO NOT SYNC!
Now, connect your phone, cancel any pop-ups that appear.
Right click your phone in the device pane and select "Restore from Backup".
Select the backup you just made.
That's as close to your touch as you're gonna get right now.

Cannot find iTunes rented, unwatched movie after moving from MAC to iphone and back to MAC

Rented a movie and downloaded it to my MAC on 3/11. Moved to my iphone 3/12 in preparation for a trip. Never watched on iphone and moved movie back to MAC this morning. Now movie is nowhere to be found on MAC? Any suggestions? When I hooked my phone up to the computer, the "move" button was active and the movie showed it transfered from my iphone, so I can't figure out why I can't find it on either device now.

Will I get a reply? It seems Apple isn't as supportive as I thought.

How to transfer songs from Itouch to Iphone?

I just bought an Iphone 4 and i'm trying to figure out how to transfer my songs from my Itouch to my Iphone. I've seen software that does it for you but none that are free. Is there a way to do this without buying software?
Any help is appreciated!

How did the music get on your touch? There are only two ways to get music on a touch or iPhone, buy directly on the device or sync it there through iTunes. Is your music not in your iTunes library? It should be. Then, all you have to do is sync it to your phone.

One question for the forums here, if someone wouldn't mind.
I've had an itouch for at least a year now. With about 20 gigs of music on my computer, I've managed to filter through most of it to create a pretty good selection of my music on my itouch (about 8 gigs.) It's at the point where I can random through my entire itouch library without having to skip songs constantly.
Problem being, I can't figure out how to take the exact music on my itouch and put it on my iphone without having to refilter my entire itunes library by hand, again.
I've tried making a playlist of all my music on the itouch, but it's not possible to make a playlist on itunes from the itouch's library?
This seems like a simple function, what am I missing?

Had you created an iTunes playlist in the first place for this music along with syncing music instead of manually managing music, this would be as simple as selecting the same playlist under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync. Since disk mode is not supported with the iPod Touch and iPhone which allows for manually transferring music from an iTunes library on more than one computer, there is very little if any benefit with manually managing music with an iPod Touch and iPhone.
I think you need to create a playlist in iTunes especially since you are manually managing music.

Apps moving from iPad to iPhone

I got a new iPad and downloaded some apps. Later I picked up my iPhone and saw the iPad apps "waiting", as if they are going to download to my phone. Why and how did that happen and how do I prevent it? I deleted the little boxes from my phone...

Moving from Blackberry to iPhone...

I'm going to upgrade from a Blackberry to an iPhone, and would like to know the easiest way to transfer my contacts and a few photos to the iPhone. I see on my BB on the menu for my phone book an option that says "SIM Phone Book." Does this put all my contacts on the SiM card, and then when I move the SIM card to the iPhone, all my contacts will be there?
I have a multimedia card in the BB; will this be compatible with the iphone, so that my photos can be on the iphone?
I'm not very tech savvy, and hope there's a very simple way to do this.

Hi there.......there is a simpler and much much easier way to do this (and not a lot of ppl are aware of this either).
I have just upgraded my package with O2 from my blackberry onto a new iPhone 5. The first question that hit me is 'how do I transfer all the sim contacts from my blackberry onto my new I-phone ???'
The answer is easy.... Download an app called ( INTOUCH ) onto your blackberry. When you open the app it takes a second to create a user account that is unique to yourself. once you open the app you can then sync all your current sim contacts onto there web server. then download the same app on your new phone (i.e iphone) which you can get on the app store for free. load the app up on your new phone then you can pull all your contacts down to your iphone and thats it ....it really is that simple!!
if you go onto google and type in INTOUCH app you will see the results that come up there. for blackberry users it can be downloaded on bb app world.
as far as im aware the app works on majority of devices, and the beauty is that once you've created an account, any handset you have wit he app installed on it, will automatically and simultaneously update the,selves on each phone with contacts you have either deleted or added etc..
