Moving google earth bookmarks to the iphone

I've found a lot of places on google earth and put bookmarks (pins) into them.
How do I move these to my iphone?

i also was wondering if this could be done. i have a 4s running 5.0.1 that i have not upgraded to the new ios specifically because i have hundreds of bookmarks that i use in google maps for responding to emergency calls. i'm worried that if i upgrade i will lose all my hours of hard work inputing these bookmarks.

Is there any way to receive Google Talk messages in the iPhone Messages (meaning the text messaging app)?

I want to know if there's any way to receive incoming Google Talk messages in the iPhone Messages app? What I mean by this is the app your receive text messages in. The reason I ask is because in the new "Messages" app for the Mac, you can include your Google Talk account.

If I recall correctly, it's possible to send a Google Talk message out as an SMS (though there are apparently limits on how many in a given time period in order to prevent spam). That would be the only way as far as I know. Messages on the Mac seems to have folded some of iChat's features into it, so it works a bit differently.

ITunes could not sync bookmarks to the iPhone...

I've been running into this problem when trying to sync my iPhone 4 to iTunes for a while now. I was hoping that the latest iOS update would have fixed it, but it seems like it didn't.
I get this error every time I try to sync:
iTunes could not sync bookmarks to the iPhone "Crake" because the bookmarks are in use by the iPhone.
Close the bookmarks settings on the iPhone, then sync again.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.7, iTunes 10.2.2 and iOS 4.3.3.
I have already restored my iPhone, replaced the bookmarks and closed all applications before syncing; nothing seems to work.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution?

Just spent an hour with Applecare support.. I had been getting a message when I tried to look at Bookmarks on the iPhone "Bookmarks are being synced. Please add the bookmark once syncing has completed" - this has been the message for 10 days now on the iPhone whenever I try to create a bookmark or look at Bookmarks list. Applecare advised resetting the Bookmarks in iTunes by manual setting but as I was talking on theiPhone I had to finish the call to do the sync.. Then I got the message in iTunes as above that the bookmarks are in use..
Need to retain Mobileme cos I don't want to lose KEYCHAIN syncing yet until I have worked out waht to do with the service not being available on iCloud.
I thought maybe the update of the phone to iOS5 would clear up this Safari Bookmark error but it was like safari had remained running throughout the update to iOS5 process - it looked exactly the same..
So frustrating .. and yet the iPad is working perfectly on iOS 5 - it and two computers are all in sync on all Mobileme items.. Just iPhone Bookmarks is out.

Getting bookmarks off the iPhone

So here is what happened. I sync'ed the iPhone, then my computer crashed and yes, my backup drive failed during restore. So all my bookmarks are stored on my iPhone, but I don't have the iphone.backup file (since the drive crashed). Is there a way to extract the bookmarks directly from the iphone?

I am also having difficulty with podcast bookmarks in IOS 5 on my Ipod Touch 4. It no longer remembers where it was if I play a song and then return to the podcast. And it does not mark the podcasts as listened to. The podcasts return to the beginning.
Is there someplace we can report these bugs to Apple?

Events moved one hour forward in the Iphone calendar

Hi,
I have Iphone 3gs, 3.1.3.
Windows 7 and Office 2007.
In both of them I have marked the V on change the clock automatecly
The time in the Iphone and my PC are the same time.
I think that since I moved the clock I have this problem.
1. All the events in the Iphone calendar moved one hour forward.
For example event that starts at 9 in the outlook will start at 10 at the Iphone.
2. All the events for full day in the iphone are one day backward.
For example event that is in all munday in the outlook, is in all sunday.
I tried to delete the event are sync.
I tried to force rewrite all the calendar information in the next sync
I tried to unmark the V in the automatecly clock change.
Can someone helps me?

Under the setting app in on the iPhone, go to the mail, contacts and calendar heading. At the very bottom of the calendar settings, do you have time zone support turned on?

How can I save my Firefox bookmarks on the iPhone

I managed to save my bookmarks from my pc (browser is Firefox) onto my iPhone, following the advice on a post here about 2 years ago - cant find it now though
I just cancelled mobileme after the free period and have lost all my bookmarks...grrr.
Does anyone know how i can get them back?
Also, how can I sync them with the phone when syncing? (option is only for explorer)

If you have a recent backup, that has the bookmarks, you may be able to recover them by restoring the iPhone from backup.
To sync the bookmarks, you can exporting your FireFox bookmarks and importing them into Safari or Internet Explorer.
You can sync bookmarks on iPhone with Safari on a Mac, or with Safari or Microsoft Internet Explorer on a PC.

No bookmarking from the iPhone?

how come I can't bookmarks any sites from safari on my iPhone? Do I have to sync everything on this phone?
I don't know why we have to do everything on our macs first and then sync the phone. I'm getting frustrated.

Have you taken any time to sort through the iPhone's manual which is available as a PDF download?
To the left of the URL address window is a + sign. Selecting the + sign is for adding the URL as a bookmark.
You can enter whatever name you want for the bookmark and place it in a chosen existing bookmarks folder.
You might want to download the manual and spend a little time sorting through it.

Google Calendar (gCal) and the iPhone - is this even possible

Is it possible for me to configure gCal to work with the iPhone Calendar application? Are there any restrictions (I.e. view only, etc?)

You can do it, it takes a bit of work.
(THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE USEFUL IF YOU HAVE AN APPLE COMPUTER!)
I did it like this -
I have a Mobile Me account, so my iPhone calendar syncs automatically to Mobile Me.
I have iCal on my iMac desktop machine set to sync with Mobile Me also.
(So, so far, my iPhone and desktop iCal always match)
THEN: Use Spanning Sync - this is a 3rd party app that you install on your computer. It allows you to sync in both directions (to and from) Google Calendar.
You just give Spanning Sync the info about your Google Calendar, and it syncs it with the iCal on your computer. Then MobileMe syncs your computer with your iPhone. It works great, because I can put things onto my iPhone calendar, and they'll show up on my work calendar and my home calendar, so my family AND my coworkers can keep abreast of my schedule, and even update it for me if necessary! (Every now and then I'll get a new calendar appointment that says "2:00pm today: Buy chocolate for your wife"!)

How soon will google maps app be back on the iphone?
Apple refused to post the question I previously asked, apparently they didn't take too kindly to the way I described their new wonderful application Apple Maps.

There have been numerous posts about this.
Google Maps is not on the iPhone because of 1 or more of these reasons:
1. Apple has not approved the new Google Maps for iOS 6
2. Google never sent in the app for approval yet.
3. Apple is steering away from Google due to their strained business relations. Google did not want to release the Turn By Turn code / features for Google maps for iOS so that their Android products have an edge over the iPhone Google Maps. This is one of the reasons Apple developed their own.

When trying to update Google Earth Plug in, the screen flickers but nothing happens.

All that happens is the screen flickers but the Update does not download. Repeated clicks on the "Download Update" simply repeats the action.

According to Google, I already have the Plug-in!!
Plug-in updater is wrong????

Moving mail to folders using the IPhone?

I notice that when I move mail to folders using my IPhone that it works as expected on the IPhone, but within the Mobile Me web client all it does is copy the mail from the inbox to the folder, which results in me having the mail both in my inbox and in the folder. Is this a known bug? or do I have some setting wrong?

Moving photos between apps on the iPhone

How can I move photos on my iPhone that are taken with CP Pro or Pro HDR apps into the camera roll?

At the top level, there is a folder called Users. Double-click it.
This should show the home folders for all the user accounts on the Mac. There should be one other folder there, called Shared. Things you put in there are accessible from all the user accounts.

Moving Notes between accounts on the iPhone 4?

My iPhone 4 has 3 accounts under Notes.
How do I move a note from one account to a different account such as from the "all notes" or the "On my iPhone" over to the iCloud account?
Need to do this so all notes will apear in the Notes app on Mt Lion.

I'm assuming your mean bookmarked as in bookmarked in a web browser?
if this is so, then the only way to do so is to use Safari for windows. When you sync the iPhone to the computer it will sync safari bookmarks to the iPhone, if you if that option selected in iTunes.

How to force sync Safari Bookmarks from my laptop to the iPhone?

I have "cleansed" and rearranged my Safari Bookmarks on my laptop and would like to have the same structure and set of bookmarks on my iPhone, but syncing apparently does not change the bookmarks on the iPhone.??? I am puzzled. What do I do wrong?
How can I delete all bookmarks on the iPhone and force a synchronisation with the laptop? (In System Preferences>Mobile Me the Safari Bookmarks are checked).

Thanks a lot for your instant response. I am now in iTunes>Info>Advanced, but there the only options after Replace Info on the iPhone is Mail Accounts and that is greyed out. The Web Browser heading above the Advanced heading says: Your bookmarks are being synced with iPhone over the air from MobileMe. Over the air syncing settings can be changed on your iPhone.
But on the iPhone I don't find where to change these settings. Any suggestions?
