Moving HD boxes from room to room

I have several HD fios boxes and a Standard box, too.
I want to switch the standard box and an HD box. Along with their respective TVs.
Can I just switch the boxes or is there anything else that needs to be done.
Thanks

No. Everything should work fine. You may want to log onto My Verizon and update the box locations or specify the box locations. That way if you call for support, it will be easier for both you and Verizon.

  • Can I sync my 3rd generation Ipad with four (4) wireless keyboards. I see patients is four (4) different exam rooms? I would like to just carry the Ipad from room to room,

Is it possible to use multiple wireless keyboards with my new Ipad. I would be moving from room to room and just using the keyboard in that room. If this helps, the same medical app will be running to access each patients chart.
    Thank for any help

The app is irrelevant. Assuming each is compatable with the iPad, you should.

  • Two FIOS boxes in the same room, remote issues

I have two cable boxes in my living room to enjoy the football season.  my only problem is that all fios boxes have the saem remote settings.
Does any one know a way to get the two boxes working separately for under 100 bucks?

I really doubt that the original poster is monitoring this discussion any more, so I will answer your question. Yes you can have as many boxes as there are inputs on the TV. Each box can output in most of the input formats of any TV. Rf output is not available on some units. For example, my rec room TV has 2 HDMI, 1 component, and 3 composite video inputs. I could have 6 boxes attached, at least. One more, if I had a cable box with an RF output.
Now my question: Why would you do that?
I once used two DVRs on one TV because I wanted to record more than 2 channels at once and have them available to that TV. If all you want is a way to swap channels quickly, buy a remote with programmable macro buttons and program them to the channels you will be watching. you can buy such a remote for under $20. Or if you only need two channels, just use the Back button with one STB to toggle back and forth.

  • Exchange 2007: User getting meeting invitations from 3 meeting rooms

    Hi,
Hope someone can help. I have an Exchange 2007 server with various room mailboxes.  One user is getting meeting room invitations from 3 meeting rooms. He is not a delegate on these meeting rooms, nor does he seem to have special permissions on their
calendars. I checked a couple of persons who ARE delegates, to see if he was a delegate on them in case there was some weird looping thing going on but nothing. I also checked transport rules and there was nothing that could cause this behavior.
Anyone have any ideas, because I don't?
    Thanks.

Not sure that I follow this completely.  My understanding of this issue is that there are 3 or so resource mailboxes who I assume are setup to auto-process incoming meeting request.  For each received meeting request, another user is receiving
a copy of the meeting request, even though he is not listed as a delegate nor are there any rules configured to send to this user.
So my understanding of the question was, why is this user receiving meeting notifications for these calendars/resource mailboxes?
But now it sounds like there is a 3rd person involved.
Are there any calendar folder permissions or settings specifically defined in any of these 3 locations (resource mailbox, user1, colleague)?
Completely remove delegates from all 3 resources & apply the change.  Test to see if the problem still occurs.  If not, re-add all of the users who should be delegates and test again. If they get the message again once delegates are added,
then one of those delegates might be the cause.
For PublicDelegates, open ADSIEdit  and look at the Active Directory properties of each users.  These are attributes on the AD object.  Just open ADSIEDIT.msc, select the defaults in the Connect To window, go to the OU where the users
reside, and view the properties of the users.

  • HT201343 Controlling the iMac desktop from a different room using mirroring (mouse/keyboard)?

How are you meant to control the imac desktop from a different room using mirroring (mouse/keyboard)? Is there an app for that? Or a solution?

Tried the trackpad out in the lounge and it worked, it's a little less responsive, but a far cry better than using McTivia with usb bluetooth mouse and/or keyboard. I guess the airplay mirroring is at the stage of an add on gimmick. Perhaps in the future AppleTV versions will come with bluetooth support to allow for serious use of the mirroring, especially with gaming. Thanks people!

  • Moved an email from my in-box to a folder but now the email is missing

    Hi,
On my iphone 5 I moved an email from my inbox to a folder that I had already created called "vacation".  But when I go into my "vacation" folder the email is missing.  I did a search on my phone for the email but it is not found on my phone anywhere.  So I logged onto my email through my pc.  The message was there in my inbox.  I moved it to my "vacation" folder.  It is there on my pc but not on my phone.  I went into my settings on my phone and made sure that it wa set to "no LImit" in the "mail days to sync" option.  I restarted my phone but still not showing up.  I have "checked for new mail" but still not showing up on my phone, but it's there on my pc in my hotmail account in the folder "vacation".  Any ideas?
    Thanks

Okay so I deleted the mail account and then re-added it to my phone.  That worked.  It is now in the correct folder.  Hope this was just a one time glitch and not an on going issue.

  • I moved a file from a smart box to another file in my sidebar and it has now disappeared any ideas as this has now happened twice

I moved an email from a smartbox to another file on my side bar and it disapeared completly any ideas

I found this article some time ago when I was trying to help someone else in this same situation. This is a copy and paste from the website. The website is provided below for you to read before you try this.
    Plug your phone into iTunes
Click setup as a new device
Immediately unplug your phone from the computer
Give it about 30 seconds and iTunes will give a message (I don’t remember the specific, but regarding you unplugging the device and it not completing)
    Plug your phone back in
Viola! no restore occurred and you can access everything again
This computer has previously synced with an iPhone or another iOS device.

  • HT203167 Moved iTunes library from one computer to another using external hard drive.  Cannot play many files.  Says they are missing but locates them in an archive file but still won't play them.  Are the files themselves part of the .itl files?

Moved iTunes library from old computer (PC Windows 7) to new (PC Window 8) using external hard drive.  Library listing shows all music but can only play a fraction of it.  On the ones it cannot play it asks to locate, then refers to an archived version (an .itl file), and still cannot play them.  Do I just need to copy the archived .itl over, or is that not where the actual media are (do the actual media files even exist on the new computer?)?  Any advice or information on this would be helpful.

*Also...is there any way I can filter out all the tracks with the ! so I can delete the unplaying copies as they're taking up room in my iTunes? I know how to find duplicates, but then I have to go and delete each one individually...*
    *Thank you!*

OK, restart in Safe Mode, this will clear some caches. It's possible one or more is corrupt. To restart in Safe Mode when you hear the start up tone hold down the Shift Key until you see a progress bar. Let it fully boot then restart normally and test.
Also I am assuming you have checked Finder - Preferences  - General and see what boxes are checked in "Show these items on desktop." You can also mount an item in Disk Utility, simply highlight it and then look in the File menu for Mount.....

  • How to Shift ToolBar(Search Box) From Left To Right

    Hi All,
I am trying to shift toolbar of Portal i.e Search Box from left to right. But it is not happening. How I do this?I do not want to upload PAR File also.
    Please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Abhiram

    Hi,
    Follow this,
Import the PAR file into NWDS, the PAR you have downloaded is correct one, Now in the JSP folder, find ToolAreaView.JSP file, now find following lines of code in that JSP file
    <DIV id="GroupElements" class="prtlToolAreaTaskCompAlign">
                        <TABLE border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" >
                             <TR>
After this TR , add following code :
    <td width="750">& nbsp;</td>
Thats it. With this your search field will be moved to right totally.

  • I'm finally moving my photos from my PC to my MacBook Pro.  I have 8 years worth of photos organized into very specific albums.  Can I import the album structure directly into iPhoto or am I going to have to recreate everything in iPhoto?

I'm finally moving my photos from my PC to my MacBook Pro.  I have 8 years worth of photos organized into very specific albums.  Can I import the album structure directly into iPhoto or am I going to have to recreate everything in iPhoto?

If you want to duplicate your Folder Tree in iPhoto:
Start at the bottom of the hierarchy and drag a folder of images to the Album Heading in iPhoto. The pics will be imported and an Album of the same name created.
You can then create the Enclosing Folders in the iPhoto Window (File -> New Folder) and drag the Album to it. Folders can contain other Folders (Nested Folders) and Albums.
However, is your folder system date based? Then this form of organisation is a bit pointless in iPhoto when Smart Albums or the Calendar tool (Click on the wee magnifying glass in the Search Box) mean you can find the photos taken on any day, month or year at a click. With Smart Albums it's easy to find photos from specific range - say, June 3 to August 25, 2009 etc.
If your folder system is theme based - Xmas pics, Birthday pics etc, then you'll find Keywords are much more flexible, and can be used in conjunction with other criteria for making Smart Albums and searches.

  • Do Oracle offer Professional Services for moving Exadata Boxes?

    Hi,
I am doing some work for a client (unrelated to Oracle) and they need to move their Exadata Box from a Data centre to another about 200 miles away. But do Oracle offer such a service with warranties etc for failed disks blah, blah (in my world EMC do - albeit expensive)??
    Thanks
    Shaun

At Enkitec, we've done several moves for customers. Most customers have used Oracle's moving services to perform the physical move of the system, and contract the local Sun FSE to come out and power up the system, and check that everything is ok.
After that, we've come in and performed the work to reconfigure the system. In some cases, that meant wiping the system, setting up new IPs and hostnames, and running onecommand to configure a new cluster. For others, it meant just changing the IPs and reconfiguring the cluster.
Contrary to what some may say, there are other options than just ACS to do this. Just make sure they know what they're doing.
