Moving home but don't want to take services
Hi,
I'm about to move home, but because of there would be a £130 charge for installing a new phone line into my new home and also because the contract would renew with 12 months, I don't want to take my BT services with me. I think there's 6-7months left from this contract and I also don't want to pay cancellation fee.
What's happening If I just unplug my stuff and taking with me? Or can I somewhere deactivate the services and still paying the monthly fee?

is there a way to put a large amount of music on the ipod without having to keep all the files on itunes as well? You cannot put music onto your iPod without using iTunes, that what iTunes is for.
It's also not a good idea to wipe the music from your computer and having it only on your iPod. We see countless posts here from people who have done just that - and then lost everything when the iPod needs a Restore. Even if you never need to Restore your iPod, what happens when you eventually replace the iPod? You'll be back here asking how to get the music from one iPod to another. That's not easy to do, we see countless posts about that too!
A much better idea is to buy an external drive (a proper external drive, not simply an iPod) and put your large amount of music onto that drive. Then point your iTunes Library to that drive. However, you need to remember two things:
You still need a backup of that Library.
Using an external drive as your iTunes Library means that the drive must be connected and ready to read before starting your iTunes programme. If it isn't, then iTunes will look on the C: drive - and you will find no music in your Library. (Once again, lots of posts about that as well!) -

I need help prettty fast thanks so much!Why start a new thread on the same topic as before the answers will all be the same you have to activate the iPhone through iTunes and sign a contract with AT&T to activate the iPhone otherwise you wont be able to take pictures or listen to music or use other features, didn't you do any research on the iPhone before purchasing it??? Sounds like you need to return your iPhone where you bought it and just pay the restocking fee and call it good.

My user folder has suddenly disappeared from my hard drive though if I do a find for it it comes up as still being there with all its data. Can drag a duplicate copy from the find window back onto the hard drive but don't want two copies there with one of them hidden. Any suggestions anyone?
Did you update to 10.9.3?
If you did then update to iTunes 11.2.1.
That is the fix for that problem.

A client gave me he's mini Ipad wifi as a gift.
It has all his information:photos, music, contacts, etc. I also took some photos that are in camera roll. I would like to erase everithing and make it totaly mine but don't want to loose my photos and his music which is very good. How should I do???Resetting the settings will reset things like the wallpaper to the default. It wont remove the apps or music.
As the previous poster said, the apps and music will be tied to the previous owners Apple ID, you'll need the password to update the apps and remain authorized to play the music.
I would suggest taking your stuff off (the camera pictures) then erasing all content and settings so the iPad is like new. For privacy reasons alone I would erase the device. I realise you want to keep the music, but since you haven't paid for it (it was purchased under someone elses ID) then it isn't yours to keep, you'll need to write down the tracks and purchase them under your ID. -
Is there anyway to turn off the Group MMS texting? I want to send a mass text but don't want every person to see every other person's response. I am getting ready to have a baby and want to send one text out to friends and family when the baby comes BUT I don't want all of those people to receive the responses. Can I turn it off temporarily? Please help!

Trying to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name often will not work and may make the problem worse. The same goes for "utilities" that purport to remove software. -
Looking for copy of snow leopard, hate lion but don't want to pay 100$

To upgrade, you must buy Snow Leopard by calling the phone number in the Apple Online Store: 800-MY-APPLE (in the US).
Snow Leopard is not available for download from any legitimate source.

If you are talking about a CDR disk, you may have a problem after restoring your Profile with having a "lock" on the individual files due to using a CDR and Firefox not working properly or an "alert" popping up. Easily solved by being observant after restoring your Profile and unlocking those files. -

There are no known viruses for OS X. If you have to worry about a website putting some malware on your computer, then you should not visit it any longer. Find a legitimate site.

You might want to update Safari to 3.12. I would empty the safari cache. (Safari>Empty Cache). Then quit Safari. System Preferences>Network>Show:Airport>TCP/IP. Insert the following into the DNS Servers box;
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
then hit apply. Now launch Safari. You should also try powering down modem, router and Mac and power up in 2 minute sequence; modem, router, Mac.
