Moving images within HTML

Hi there everyone,
I'm rather new to Java and I'm trying to get an image in a topframe to move when i resize the browser to the right (the image must shift then to the right).
Any help would be great.
Greetz,
Demigod

if you're using html, then when you place the image make it spaced from the right, or define location with percentage of screen.

  • Moving images within Grid View in LR3beta2

    Frustrated. In LR3Beta1 I could manually move and place images within Grid View or from the slide view at bottom for purposes of sorting "similar subject" content within a specified Text/Attribute naming. All of this was accomplished from the Parent folder, with no need for drilling down the Tree.
    Now, since installing LR3Beta2 I can no longer manually move (sort) within Grid View...unless I am in the lower most folder of the tree. This change is not practical since a tree folder may not match the relevance of my specified Text/Attributes.
    Can anyone tell me what I may be doing wrong, or is the ability to manually sort from Parent folder no longer an option?

    Here's an example of how I catalog/label/sort my images...
    Architectural images project - 3 locations of shootng, 4 areas of focus: Doors, Windows, Facades, Walls
    So, I may have 20 images w/both a door and a facade in the shot, 20 images with a window and a door, etc. I prefer to Keyword all of the images as Architectural, and then Keyword those applicable to Doors, Windows, Facades, Walls, etc.
    Now, suppose those all go into a folder labeled Architecture.
    The next week I get an assignment for Urban settings. It may include shops, churches, etc. However, within those, I decide to Keyword (where appropriate) Doors, Windows, Churches, Shops, etc. That project goes into a folder labeled Urban Settings.
    Now, let's say I have a request specifically for "Doors". Now, those Doors are spread across multiple folders at this point so I have no opportunity to manually sort all of the doors my similar content if they fall into multiple folders. Doesn't matter that I have pulled up Doors through Text, I still cannot sort them by similar style, shape, color, etc since they are spread across multiple folders.
    In the 1st beta, I could slice and dice a hundred ways to arrive at a final view and then...sort those so that they always appeared that way whenever I called them up again. Didn't matter that they were in multiple folders. That was extremely useful and...sweet.
    Any ideas?

  • Moving images within a catalogue

    I've noticed a phenomenon where, when re-ordering a group of images within a catalogue, LR2 (and 2.2) moves the last photo in the group to the front of the group. It's very time consuming to fix.
    Is anyone else having the same problem?
    Cheers
    Kevin

    That's the problem...
    I actually *want* to put them in custom order (it happens sometimes that the cameras which shoot a wedding are out of time sync). It's when I do this that the problem occurs. Never happened pre Version 2.
    Thanks for the suggestion, tho!

  • Moving images within a collection?

    Having just watched Julieanne K's tutorial re making a Blurb book, she began with her images in a story order.  How does one move images within a collection to an order different from how they were uploaded or taken?  I guess it is simple, but I cannot seem to do it.

    Actually, you don't have to select User Order.  In Library mode, view the grid and simply drag and drop the thumbnails into the order you want, and that prompt will automatically change to User Order from whatever order it was in before.

  • Moving images within projects - random placement

    I have tried to move images within a project, slotting them in a different order than shot. All of a sudden the images are not going where directed - they appear to be placed at random within the project. This is driving me crazy now.
    Has anyone else experienced this? Retarting doesn't seem to help. Maybe I need to shut down....

    Thanks for your reply. I guess I mistakenly thought that if you created an album within a project, any images placed in the album would also become part of the project. So what's the best way to sub-divide or categorize images within a project? For example, if I have a project called "architecture" and within that project I have images of "commercial" and "residential".
    I thought if I had a project called "architecture" and inside that I put two albums called "commercial" and "residential", I could drag groups of images into the albums and still see all images by viewing the project.
    Thanks again,
    Andrew

  • Moving images within Book cells?

    Is there a way to position images within the book template cells?  Understanding that the cells are fixed is there a way to move an image around within those boundaries?  It appears when I resize an image within the cell it does so uniformly and from the center and is locked there.  Am I missing something?  We should be able to position the image inside the borders.

    Hi Jay,
    when I do not zoom-to-fill my usual 3:2-ratio images get positioned in the middle of a book cell.
    Then I can drag them ad libitum to the right or left within that cell.
    When zoomed you can still drag the exact portion shown around within the cell.
    But that is the only tiny bit of freedom I have discovered so far, with these non-modifiable templates of LR4b#1.
    Cell padding is uniformly from each end.
    I just hope that general feedback had been drastic enough so that Adobe will soon release LR4b#2 with modifiable templates / page sizes / cell sizes / image borders / text boxes etc.
    Otherwise they might not receive much more feedback about the book module. I won't cash out for a book design that does not suit me, so no experiences with upload/export and the rest.

  • Repository Images within HTML

    Hello All-
    I would like to reference image variants within an HTML text object in my MDM repository.
    Something along the lines of
    img src="imagename.variant"
    Is this possible or do I need to combine the information in a custom jsp?
    thanks

  • Lr3.5 windows_7 64bit: Problem moving images in Library collections

    I am ruhnning Windows &7 Pro, 64 bit and I'm experiencing inconsistant behavior in Lightroom 3.5 with regard to moving images within collections.  When I try to move an image, to place it in the order inwhich I would like view the sequence, the image is placed at the end of the sequence no matter where I place it initially.  I've tried the filmstrip view and the grid view and it happens in both.  I recall doing this without problems previously however it was in the imported Library not a collection, but why would this be different??  One still needs to reorder images in collections.  I've made certian to change the "sort" option to user each time I've tried to do this.  Any Ideas?  Thanks

    'User order' has some surprises. When it works it can be difficult to appreciate what differs from when it doesn't. Julianne Kost video is a good starting point on what will and won't work with a little on why  http://tv.adobe.com/watch/the-complete-picture-with-julieanne-kost/custom-sort-orders/  . If collections and several folders are involved the work round to meet your goals may include a combination of moves, copies and renaming files (export and re-import even) to create an alphanumeric sort. The 'dumping' at the end of the sequence manifests itself in other situations related to the order status in force at the point when you start moving files.  See http://forums.adobe.com/message/4026355#4026355 which came down to making sure the sort starting point is appropriate
    Good luck

  • Moving a selection of images within a folder

    I would like to move a selection of images within the same folder. I have done this before with a drag and drop but it doesn't want to work today. Anyone have a suggestion. I have and keywords for filters but wanted to set up in time/day order using 2 different cameras.
    thanks, Jan

    fotobuffflorida wrote:...  but wanted to set up in time/day order using 2 different cameras.
    The easier way to do this, instead of moving photos around manually, is to adjust the time on one of the cameras, and voila, your photos are in order.
    Select the desired photos and then choose Photo->Edit Capture Time, and insert the proper time adjustment between the two cameras.

  • Moving images from iPhoto 11 to Photoshop Elements Organizer

    I understand that iPhoto 11 kept all images within the iPhoto Library.  In order to move them into the Adobe Photoshop Elements Organizer, they must be moved to the hard drive of the Mac and then imported into Elements 12 Organizer.
    Is there any way to do this in one step?
    Mary Lou

    If you want to keep the photos organized by the Events they are currently in use this export setup:
    If you want to keep the keywords, titles and descriptions added in iPhoto change Kind to JPEG and set JPEG Quality to Maximum and check both checkboxes.

  • Aligning an image within Text

    Is there a way to wrap an image within a Text Box? For example, in standard html I would just align an image to the "right" or "left" and insert padding accordingly. The text would then just wrap around and under. Is there an equivelent action in Captivate 5.0?
    I've been just putting text boxes on the page and leaving room and saving space outside of the text box for the image, then put another text box underneath it to make it appear as if it is "wrapping"?
    If not - any idea when this functionality will be appearing? Perhaps in 6.0?

    If you want to see something like this in Cp6 you need to request it as an enhancement.

  • Fix background image within div

    Hello
    I've done a lot of research about this, and tons os answers have come up, still, none solved my problem so far.
    I'm trying to make the background image within a div to be fixed when i scroll vertically.
    Have a template made, in which the only editable div is the rightdiv. (in red, to be easier)
    Here's my code
    CSS
    body {
    margin-top: 0px;
    margin-bottom: 0px;
    background-position: center center;
    background-image: url(../Images/bgdr.jpg);
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    #wrapper {
    height: 875px;
    width: 1000px;
    margin-right: auto;
    margin-left: auto;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    #header {
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    clear: none;
    float: none;
    height: 214px;
    width: 1000px;
    background-image: none;
    position: relative;
    padding-top: 10px;
    #leftDiv {
    clear: none;
    float: left;
    height: 500px;
    width: 245px;
    position: relative;
    text-decoration: none;
    #rightDiv {
    clear: none;
    float: right;
    height: 484px;
    width: 755px;
    position: relative;
    overflow: auto;
    #footer {
    height: 100px;
    width: 1000px;
    clear: both;
    position: relative;
    padding-bottom: 20px;
    And here is my HTML
    <!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="RightDiv" -->
      <div id="rightDiv" style="background-image: url(Images/informacao.png)">
      </div>
      <!-- InstanceEndEditable -->
    Well, thing is that on Internet Explorer 9, the background image will repeat vertically when i scroll vertically. On Chrome it will stay fixed on scroll (and that is what i want).
    I tried adding style="background-attachment:fixed" , but that will make the image align fix itself relatively to the whole page, not the div only. Also, it repeats itself 4 times to oocupy the screen. I can solve that by "no-repeat", but it still is fixed to the browser page, not the div.
    I've been trying to fix this for days.. Help would be much appreciated.
    Funny thing is that this only happens in IE9.. Chrome works perfectly.

    Didn't work. sorry, but i don't think i understood ur reply quite well..
    Here's what i used:
    <!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="RightDiv" -->
    <div id="rightDiv" background:  url('Images/informacao.png') no repeat fixed;>
    <tr>
            <td>textextextextextextextextext</td>
          </tr>
    <!-- InstanceEndEditable -->
    Could u pls be a little more detailed?
    sorry, but i'm still very unexperienced at this..
    That is not a valid way to write css into your page and will not work. You appear to be trying to use the background shorthand css property within the html tag itself. If you want to use an inline style, it would need to be within the style html attribute...
    <div id="rightDiv" style="background:url(Images/informacao.png") no-repeat fixed top left;">
    But it would be better to place it in your css instead...
    #rightDiv {
    clear: none;
    background:url(Images/informacao.png") no-repeat fixed top left;
    float: right;
    height: 484px;
    width: 755px;
    position: relative;
    overflow: auto;

  • Moving images to a new HD?

    I'm not where I can test it right now, but will shortly need to move about 10k images that were previously imported into LR from one HD to another.
    Will I be able to just point Lightroom to this new drive where images were moved to (preserving the directory structure & images therein), but the drive letter is different?

    Roger,
    I just did this operation yesterday. I bought a larger HD, dragged the images in their folders to the new HD, then disconnected the old HD.
    I then started LR. All the thumbnails had "?" on them. This is how I got things back in order:
    1. I selected a folder of images.
    2. I selected all the thumbnails from that folder.
    3. I clicked the "?" icon on the first thumbnail.
    4. In the resulting dialog box, I clicked "OK" to find the image.
    5. I migrated to the image within it's new folder via the dialog, and clicked the go button.
    6. LR then proceeded to reconnect to every photo in that folder.
    7. I repeated steps 1 thru 6 for each folder of images.
    LR kept the name of each folder, but tagged the end of the name w/the name of the new HD, which I don't want. I double-clicked each folder and took off that extra name suffix.
    There may be another way to do this, but this one worked for me.
    good luck,
    jeff

  • Sorting of images within a stack

    When working with stacks some strange things happen:
    - When trying to duplicate one image out of the stack into an album the whole stack is moved to the album. When I than delete this stack in the album the order of the images of the same stack in my projects is changed.
    - When rejecting images within a stack my rejected images are not automatically moved to the rejected images folder. Instead these images stay in the stack even so they are marked as rejected.
    - When sorting images within a stack by using different ratings and than trying to limit the image view by showing for instance only images with 3 stars or more nothing happens. Also showing rejected images only does not work within a stack. Instead showing images by rating is applied to the whole project and not only the stack
    Do I do something wrong or is this a known apperture bug?
    MBP   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    David, your understanding (use) of stacks is causing a conflict. The whole idea is basically to group a series of similar images and choose the best one of that series, called the Pick. Then, within that series you can rank those images in an order of Pick to next best, and so on. You can view stacks open or closed - when closed, the Pick is the one on top.
    Here's some info from the Help Menu that will help answer your questions:
    Note: When you place a stack in a book album or web gallery or web journal album, Aperture displays the stack pick. If you drag a stacked image that is not the stack pick into the book or web gallery or web journal album, Aperture reminds you to select the stack pick. If you don’t want to place the pick in the album, but want to use a different version from within the stack, select the version you want and then make it the album pick by choosing Stacks > Set Album Pick.
    Dragging Stacks
    You can drag an entire stack to a new location, and you can drag specific images within a stack to a new location. When a stack is closed, dragging the stack moves the entire stack. When a stack is open, you can drag individual versions to new locations in the Browser. You can also drag images into a stack. If you drag a stacked image into a different project, however, the entire stack moves to the new location.
    If you still want to be able to use a stacked image as you have stated, then take that image out of the stack, split the stack, or create a version of the image and remove it from the stack.
    Take a quick refresher through the help menu - it will give you some further details and ideas so you can accomplish exactly what you need to do.
    Hope that helps!!
