Moving information from Blackberry to Computer

The frame of my tracking ball popped off and I'm recieving a new phone via mail. I called support and they said I needed to transfer the information from my Blackberry to my computer to save what I have on my phone so I can put it in my new phone. Can anyone tell me how to do that?

Or, if you have both devices, use Desktop Manager > Switch Device Wizard.

CRL's do not normally live on workstations... normally these are hosted on servers. If you want to see what server are in the local revocation list then look at the certificates mmc snap-in and look at the revoked certificate list. If you want to test
a CRL for a certificate then export the certificate and run "Certutil -url"

Moving information from last name field into blank first name field?

Is there a script (or does anyone know how I can make a workflow in Automator) for moving information from the last name field in Addressbook to the first name field (which is currently blank)? I want to move information from the last name field to the first name field in over 500 addressbook entries, and it would take me all night to do it manually.

so we cannt expect them to remember the same spellins as what we gave.
no one else can change other password as it need to give the id and email correctly
i have checked it in logon par file.......
the java files r not included in it..... to modify and deploy it again....

New HP Pavillion All-in-one PC 20-b014 ( and moving information from old computer)

I apologize if this has been asked before....but would appreciate some assistance.
I currently have a HP Pavilion Slimline s5310y desktop PC (running Windows 7) and just purchased the HP Pavillion All-in-one PC 20-b014(Windows 8). I was wondering if it was possible to migrate some of my information directly from my old computer to my new computer. If not, what would be the best/easiest way to move some of the current information (Turbo tax folders and Itunes) to my new computer.
My knowledge base in this process is limited, so if it can be explained in a "For Dummies" fashion, it would be greatly appreciated.

for change the information use a usb or pendrive, the software itunes dont is posible because only woks with every laptop
you need run one more time software itunes on new laptop

Lost old backed-up files while moving music from an old computer to new Mac

I was following the support topic, "How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer" on the support tab for iTunes. I followed all of the instructions and in one of the final steps, I was gping to put the estimated 1000 songs I already had on my Mac back into itunes. BUT, the folder on the desktop that SHOULD have had the files in it is completely empty. I need help locating those files. iTunes now only show the roughly 700 songs that I transferred in from my old computer. My boyfriend is going to be so angry if I lost 1000 of his songs...I followed the instructions on backing up those songs...how can I fix this??? Moving Music FROM iPod to Computer...

My computer crashed, dammit. Fortunately, had my music backed up on my iPod.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like iTunes wants to allow me move it onto my new computer. Is this some crazy iTunes security feature, or am I doing something wrong?? Any workarounds??? Aargh!!!!

There's also another method. I've successfully tested this across several different Windows PCs.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), there's Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
The above methods may depend on what version of iTunes you are running.
If none of these methods work, try CopyPod which also supports the transfer of videos from iPod to computer.

Moving music from iPad to computer

My mother bought an iPad2 about a month ago and downloaded all her music from her computer to the iPad2 with my help. Recently, her computer went nuts and she had to completely wipe it clean so she lost all of her iTunes music files. She asked me if there was a way that she could take the music from the iPad2 and download it back onto the computer. I have been told that this is impossible to do. Does anyone know if you can do this and if you can, could you give me detailed instructions on how to do so?

This is a recommended method to move music from iPad to computer:
Step 1. Turn off automatic syncing in iTunes, do this through iTunes Preferences > Devices > check “Prevent iOS hardware from syncing automatically”, then quit iTunes
Step 2. Download iStonsoft iPad/iPhone/iPod to Computer Transfer and install it
Step 3. Connect the iPad to the computer by USB data cable
Step 4. Run iStonsoft iPad/iPhone/iPod to Computer Transfer and click the arrow next to the iOS devices name, then click the arrow next to “Media” and then again next to “iTunes_Control”
Step 5. Drag the entire “Music” folder to a location on the desktop, this is all of your music and it may take a while to transfer
Step 6. Wait a while,Finish!you success to transfer music from iPad to computer
Tip: iPod and iPhone is also the same way,you can also transfer photos,video.etc

I have a new computer, and have managed to transfer all my music from the ipod to the computer, but was wondering if there's anyway to transfer my playlists?

Moving contacts from Blackberry Pearl to Macbook Air

Hi,
I still have a Blackberry Pearl as my phone but have just upgraded to a Macbook Air as my laptop (from using a PC).
Any advice on how I move my contacts from the Pearl to the Air ?
And will I be able to regularly synch the two (as I did with my old PC)?

Download messages from Blackberry to Computer

Hi, My computer recently crashed, a blackout of windows XP, which resulted in reformatting the hard drive. I did have about 90% of my email backed up but there is another 10% that has disappeared.
The one place I still have the email is on my blackberry. Is it possible to download the messages from my blackberry onto my computer, a reverse of the normal information flow? I have a blackberry 8100 pearl.

No, not as you are imagining, you cannot.
You can send the messages from the BlackBerry back to yourself.
You can do a backup of the BB and extract messages if you really need, using ABC Amber Converter.

Is there a way to retrieve information from a damaged computer?

My 2009 MacBook Pro froze last night and when I went to restart it, was apparently damaged and now won't work. It is stuck on a grey loading screen with the Apple logo and turns off after about a minute of that. I have tried safe-rebooting, rebooting, everything I could find on it. I don't know whether it can actually be fixed or not, but my question is: if I bring it to a professional at Apple or someone along those lines, is there a way I can get the information with my files, photos, documents - stuff like that - onto my eventual new computer? to supplement OGELTHORPE’s suggestion, another possibility (if you have access to a FireWire cable and a second Mac with a FireWire port) would be to boot your MacBook Pro into Target Disk mode, to have it be treated as an external disk by the second MacBook Pro. You could try copying your personal files from your MacBook Pro to the second Mac in that way. You might also be able to run Disk Utility on the second Mac against your MacBook Pro’s internal disk, to see if the Repair Disk button woudl be available that way.

Moving Photos from iPhone to Computer

I tried to download my pictures on my iPhone to the big computer and some went and some I could not move (or delete) and they're kind of just stuck there on my phone in Albums. What did I do wrong? iTunes backs up the whole phone, it is not a transfer tool to get images off the iPhone.
There are apps for your computer that can do this; photo transfer apps.
Or you could find an app that downloads photos from the photostream when the arrive.

Moving information from InDesign to MS Sql

My customer's print catalog is produced using InDesign. I need to move most of that information into a MS SQL database. I addition to the text, table layout and image names, I need to capture the format information.
Before I started working on this, the designer tagged the file for export to XML. This does a good job of identifying which element is which. I can easily find item numbers and item descriptions within a Story. However, all the text looks the same. There isn't any Bold, font sizes, color, paragraphs, etc.
Below is the XML output.

As you can see, I have lost all color information, font sizing, font styling, special characters (trademark) and paragraph delineation.
Is there a way to Export all of this data?
Or can I programmatically access it using a VBScript? What sort of database does InDesign use?
In framing your answers please understand that I have never seen InDesign. I am a VB programmer. Do not assume I know how to find options in the menus. I realize I will have to familiarize myself with InDesign. I am hoping the direction I receive here will help me know where to begin.
